Chapter 39: Warehouse Havoc
Jessica is in her bed only in her underwear with her gear on the side. "Gee, this mission is crazy. Linda has got quite the operation here," she thought as she felt happy to have someone she likes having her back. "Gee, Rachel is such a breath of fresh air along with Jack. My old partners were not that open about their feelings," Jessica said taking a look over her weapons to prepare when Rachel made her move to the lab. "I hope you are doing well out there blondie," she thought.
Elsewhere Rachel gets out of her bed to kiss her future husband to head over to the armory to put on her gear and combat suit. "We are almost there, we can go home and rest," she said as everyone got up, ate, and geared up to get the fourth key.
"Gee, hopefully, nothing crazy is happening back in the US," Jack said.
"Miss Graham and the others can handle it. I have faith it will be okay," Rachel said.
"Always the optimist," Elza said as she bit into her buttered toast.
"Smiling is her best look," Jack said as he ate into his blueberry bagel.
"Thank you, honey," she said as she kissed him on the cheek.
"Gee, when you get back. You give each other as much time together as possible," Elza said.
"Yep, we deserve a long vacation from active duty," Rachel said as she went over to press her huge breasts against his arm to give him a big hug from the side.
"Yeah, we all do. After all this frozen hell we have been through," Jack said.
"Yep back to Florida and nice warm weather. I hope Gina is okay on her trip to China," Rachel said thinking about Gina and hoping she is safe on her travels.
"I mean you got those Northern Stars running around and the China are getting uppity with their bioweapon programs. It's dangerous over there," Elza said.
"Yeah, Shen Ya is on the move," Jack said as he looked over at Rachel.
"Jessica," she said softly.
"You sure she will come through in the end?" Elza asked.
"I believe she is not a bad person just not working with the right people," Rachel said.
"Yeah, I felt that too when she was with me. Hopefully, Rachel can get a new friend," Jack said lightly.
"I hope so. She seems nice if a bit rough around the edges," Rachel said. Everyone finished eating their breakfast with Rachel drinking up her cup of orange juice.
"Time to get this over with," Elza said as Rachel put her TAC-308 rifle on her back to hold her Desert Eagle.
"Yeah, let's do this," she said as the trio headed outside to go toward the warehouse where the fourth key was located. Elza loads up on an MPX-SD-suppressed submachine gun with her suppressed FN57.
A Dragonfly sees where their hideout is to relay this to Linda Bee. "So, this is where you were hiding out. Valkyries wait on standby until the right moment arises. We are going to bait Rachel towards me," Linda said.
"Yes madam, we are gathering forces as we speak," the lead Valkyrie said on the radio.
"The endgame is near. Our friend in the bunker is not going to last long against Rachel," Linda said as she set up her defenses in the labs.
Back with Rachel and the others, several Undertakers are defending the massive warehouse complex as Elza sneaks to the other side to see an Undertaker nearby. She goes up and grabs the Undertaker to pull it into the shadows and slit its throat. "Good night, sweet prince," Elza heads over to pull out her submachine gun to begin popping heads through her sight.
Rachel sneaks through the shadows to take out Undertakers hanging on the roofs of buildings. "Lights out," Rachel said as she moved through the buildings to clear out the enemy troops. She hears hearing barking noise to see the Fenrirs coming toward her.
"Hush puppy," she puts 10mm rounds into the heads of the big wolves to take them down. She ducks under a lunging canine to put shots into the body of the beast to knock it onto the ground. She pulls out her dagger and digs into the wolf's neck killing it instantly.
"Poor puppies," she said as she was putting rounds into the rest of the dogs.
"Seems like the place is secured," she said.
"They are upping their security here. We are getting close to the labs," Jack said on the radio as he grabbed a KSG-12 bullpup shotgun from a dead Undertaker Grunt to see that it had 14 shells plus one in the twin tubes. "This will come in handy," he said to sling it on his back to keep using his Honey Badger. He uses her binoculars to look over the grounds to see a bunch of Grunts, a Heavy, and a bunch of Dragonflies guarding the compound.
"Jackpot, that is where it is," Elza said as she was wielding her FN57 to sneak around the area. She picks off the grunts first as she uses Shock grenades to knock Dragonflies to see them crashing onto the ground.
"Seems like we got them here. Send in the Hunters," Valkyrie ordered as they gave the humanoid reptiles their orders to get out of their crates to seek out their enemies.
The Heavy noticed its teammates were gone to begin patrolling around with it holding a Minigun. "This isn't good," Jack said as the Heavy fired its minigun to shred through the environment. Elza and Jack try to take cover for the minigun is eating through anything in its path.
Rachel is on top of a roof using her rifle to look through the scope to take a few shots to pierce through the thick helmet of the Heavy to take it down. "Got them," she said as she saw the complex Is on high alert. "We got company guys," Rachel said on the radio to see groups of Hunters flooding into the area with Basic Hunters and cloaking Hunter Farfarello.
"Great," Jack said as he grabbed onto the Minigun to spin the barrels to unload a hail of bullets to turn the Hunters into mincemeat. One of the Farfarello uses its cloaking to up close without notice and slice the minigun slicing it in half making it useless.
"Damn it," he pulls out his KSG to unload a bunch of buckshot to blow off the head of the big lizard to knock its lifeless body onto the floor.
"Hate these cloaked lizards," Elza said as they came out of camouflage when they got close to their targets. A new type of Hunter is climbing on the side of the building to head for Rachel sniping on the roof nearby.
"Oh crap, Rachel. Hunter Sweepers," Jack said as these Sweepers are leaner and faster versions of the Hunters who can cling to walls and spit acid.
"Shit," she said as she sees several Sweepers leap onto the roof going after her. She fires her rifle to put the round into the monster's head. She switches to her Desert Eagle as she kicks the incoming Sweeper over the edge to fire her magnum into the chest of the Sweeper to kill it on the spot.
A Sweeper grabs her on the arm via its jaw to fling her across the roof. She pulls out her APC-10K to pump rounds into their bodies to wipe them out. One of the Sweepers comes to swing its claws at Rachel to block it with her auto pistol to get sliced in half.
"Oh crap," she said as she aims her TAC-308 to put a bullet into the head of the monster to pop it wide open. The Sweeper comes in and cuts her rifle in half. "Well shit," she said as she is dodging and weaved incoming attacks from the remaining Sweepers. They spit acid at Rachel as she gets behind cover to be left unharmed.
She wields her Desert Eagle and Tanto dagger to cut and shoot her way through the groups of Sweepers leaving dead bioweapons behind. "Damn it, I lost my sniper rifle. I will meet up with you guys on the ground," she said on the radio.
"Cool, we are clearing one the rest of the monsters," Jack said as they saw a Mi-24 Hind hovering nearby.
"Fire at them now," the Valkyrie ordered as the Undertaker Engineer fired its weapons for the trio to scatter.
"Gee, a Hind here of all places," Jack said as they went into buildings trying to find something that could tip the scale in their favor. Rockets streak against the sky to strike a building causing it to explode and knocking away Jack.
"Got a Stinger," Elza said to find a crate with one inside. She holds onto a line of sight until the launcher gets a lock on. She fires the missile to toss the empty launcher on the side. The Hind unload flares to deflect the missile away and not get hit. "Well shit," she said as she takes cover inside to avoid the hail of bullets.
"We need to get another one to take it down," Rachel said as she rushed to a building to see more weapon crates to see if she could find any Stingers nearby.
A few Dragonfly drones open fire and their rounds bounce off her battle suit and helmet. She swiftly shoots magnum bullets to take each flying robot with ease one by one.
"Okay, time to find some missiles," she finds another Stinger to go onto the roof to see Elza and Jack distracting the attack helicopter. "Eat this," Rachel locks onto the target to fire the missile to take out the Hind to see it spin out of control and crash onto the ground.
"Finally, it's gone, no more defenses right?" Jack asked.
"Wrong," a Valkyrie said wielding an Ultimax 100 MK8 light machine gun to toss a sticky grenade to blast open a door. "You have to deal with me now," she said as she loaded up a 100-round drum to begin tracking down her targets.
"Great, another Valkyrie. We need some acid grenades," Elza said as they fired their weapons not being able to pierce her battle suit.
Jack tosses a flashbang but the helmet's visor blocks the flash. She fires bursts of 5.56 bullets to shred into the walls and windows. They find crates but no acid grenades. "We removed those grenades here. No place to hide," she said as a hail of bullets skirted above their heads.
"Shit, time to slow her down," Jack grabs a freeze grenade to toss into the vicious woman to hit her with a deep freeze to slow her down.
"Damn it, so cold," the Valkyrie tries muscling through the frost with the duo running away from her.
Rachel is trying to find something which can be useful to find something very interesting. "Oh, a Piercer," she said as the Piercer is a military-issued two-handed nail gun that shoots 10mm depleted uranium-tipped metal spikes from a 10-round magazine. "This will do the trick," she said as she wielded the weapon to seek out the Valkyrie.
The Valkyrie seeks out the duo to find them in a room as bullets come in to strike at the Valkyrie which has little effect on her armor. "Fools," she said as she ran towards Elza to grab her by the throat to toss her into a wall to knock her down.
"Elza," Jack said as he could see Elza had her head bleeding from the hard impact. Jack uses his Honey Badger but it's useless against the Valkyrie. She swiftly grabs the carbine to snap it in half with her bare hands. She grabs onto Jack to easily lift him into the air.
"Submit, it's useless to resist me," the Valkyrie said as she felt a sharp pain in her back. "What the hell?" she questioned as she dropped Jack to turn around to see Rachel holding the Piercer.
"Leave my man alone," she said to fire a few more shots to cut through the Valkyrie armor with ease. A spike went into her spine to disable her while falling onto the ground. She fires two spikes into her head to kill her instantly. "You guys okay?" she asked as Jack was roughed up and Elza's head was bleeding. "Oh no E," she pulls out a medical spray to use it on her face to supercharge Elza's healing process.
"Get the key and we can get out of here," Jack said as Rachel went into the room where the Valkyrie was and grabbed the key leaving only one left.
"Time to get back and treat Elza," Rachel said as they left the area to go back to the hideout with the drones tracking their movements.
"Seems they are close, prepare to raid the hideout when the time comes," the Valkyrie said on the radio with them preparing when their big sister will leave.
Soon enough Rachel holds Elza to set her on the couch to see the medical spray has worked its magic in healing her wounded head. "I will be going, Stay tight here," Rachel said grabbing onto her other weapons the M8A2, XDM, KSG-12, and Desert Eagle on her person.
"Be careful out there Sunshine," he said to give her a big hug and kiss her on the lips for luck.
"I will be back before you know it," she said as she went off to head for Ren's bunker where he was hiding. "Time to give the city's mayor a visit," Rachel said as she went after the last key to the Connection's main lab complex underground.
