Chapter 6: The Escape Plan.

As the days passed, Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids meticulously fine-tuned their plan, preparing for their daring escape from Bowser's castle. Their covert preparations continued under the shroud of secrecy, each step bringing them closer to freedom. Peach and Berry spent hours going over the plan, ensuring that Berry knew what to expect and how to stay safe during their escape. The young princess listened attentively, ready to face what's up ahead. Meanwhile, the Shy Gal maids coordinated with each other, organizing the supplies and arranging for hidden passages to evade detection.

As they made final arrangements, Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids kept a keen eye on Bowser's movements, aware that any misstep could jeopardize their escape. The tension in the castle grew palpable as the appointed day for Mario to arrive approached; but their determination to leave and ensure Berry's safety only strengthened. Mario's impending arrival added an element of unpredictability to the already complex situation. The fate of Peach, Berry, and the future of the Mushroom Kingdom hung in the balance.

One evening, as Peach and Berry sat in Berry's room, one of the Shy Gal maids approached with a sense of urgency. "We need to be ready. Mario has arrived, and we must seize the opportunity to escape." She whispered.

Peach nodded, her gaze shifting to Berry. "Are you ready for this, sweetheart?"

Berry took a deep breath, the mixture of emotions evident in her eyes. "I'm scared, Mama, but I want to be with you. I want to meet Mario and start a new life."

Peach hugged Berry, her heart filled with both concern and determination. "We'll get through this together, Berry. Mario will help us, and soon we'll be in a place where you can be happy. Stay close to me and don't let go of my hand."

"I won't Mama."

The Shy Gal maid assisted in the final preparations. They moved stealthily through the castle, avoiding Bowser's watchful eyes. The plan was set in motion, and the fate of Peach, Berry, and the Mushroom Kingdom rested on the success of their escape.

On the other side of the castle Mario was fighting a battalion Koopatrols and Hammer bros. accompanied by Yoshi. He knew that Princess Peach awaited his arrival, her safety hanging on the success of his efforts. With a flurry of well-practiced jumps and swift maneuvers, Mario navigated the castle's corridors, driven by the urgency to reunite with Peach and ensure her escape from Bowser's grasp.

As the clash intensified, Mario's persistence remained unwavering. He evaded the traps set by Bowser's minions. As the battle came to an end, the other Shy Gal maid started making bird sounds to get Mario's attention. Mario, hearing the distinctive bird sounds, turned toward the direction of the Shy Gal maid. Yoshi, his faithful companion, let out an excited chirp in response to the communication. They approached cautiously, ready for whatever information the Shy Gal maid had to convey.

The Shy Gal maid, maintaining an air of secrecy, whispered to Mario, "Princess Peach is ready for the escape. Follow me, and we'll guide you to them." Mario nodded, acknowledging the information. Yoshi let out an affirmative sound, and together with the Shy Gal maid, she led Mario through concealed passages, avoiding Bowser's minions' up ahead. The Shy Gal maid expertly navigated the castle's hidden routes, ensuring that their movements remained undetected. "Also, when you see Peach don't freak out about the little girl next to her. She's a human koopa hybrid." The maid added.

Mario, accustomed to the unexpected nature of his adventures, simply nodded in response. He trusted the guidance of the Shy Gal maid, knowing that the situation was likely more intricate than he initially perceived. As they stealthily traversed the castle's concealed passages, Mario couldn't shake the thought of the mysterious hybrid child. Yoshi, sensing Mario's contemplation, nudged him gently, offering reassurance. Meanwhile, in the depths of the castle, Jr. and the Koopalings gathered around Iggy as he unveiled his latest invention; a tiny, inconspicuous device designed to eavesdrop on conversations.

"This will allow us to hear everything they're planning." Iggy explained, excitement radiating from his voice.

Lemmy chuckled. "This is gonna be better than one of Dad's schemes."

Roy, ever skeptical, warned, "Just make sure this doesn't backfire on us. We need information, not chaos." Jr. and the Koopalings, armed with Iggy's eavesdropping device, positioned themselves strategically to gather information.

Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids navigated the complex corridors, their footsteps echoing softly against the stone walls. Each step brought them closer to the castle's exit, but the weight of uncertainty pressed upon them. In a concealed corner, Jr. and the Koopalings huddled around Iggy's device, their ears tuned to the whispers it captured. The eavesdropping gadget transmitted Princess Peach's voice, revealing details of the carefully orchestrated escape plan.

Jr. frowned as he listened intently. "They're really going through with this, huh? Berry's leaving."

Ludwig, ever the strategist, analyzed the situation. "We must consider the implications of our actions. If we intervene now, it could lead to chaos. We need more information."

Wendy, her frustration evident, clenched her fists. "I can't believe Peach is taking Berry away. What about dad?"

Larry spoke up. "Let's see how this plays out. If we act recklessly, we might make things worse. We need to understand their motives."

As the group continued to eavesdrop; the Shy Gal maid guided Peach and Berry through the secret passages, avoiding the koopatrols patrolling the area. The echoes of their footsteps mingled with the shifting shadows cast by flickering torches. The exit loomed ahead, a gateway to a world outside the confines of Bowser's rule. Peach glances at Berry. The young princess clutched a small bag containing a few belongings and a cherished item; a drawing of her and Peach she had made during her time she spent with her mother in the castle.

Larry's cautious steps faltered as he accidentally knocked a small object, the sound echoing through the hallway. Suddenly, a faint rustling noise startled the Shy Gal maid. She suspected that someone might be nearby. The sudden gesture alerted Peach, who instinctively held Berry closer. In the darkness of the corridor, Jr. and the Koopalings strained to catch every word, unaware that their presence had been detected.

"Who's there?" The Shy Gal Maid's voice echoed through the corridor.

Jr. and the Koopalings froze, caught off guard that they have been detected. Iggy clumsily deactivated his device, the gadget slipping from his grasp and clattering to the floor.

The tension mounted in the air, both parties now face-to-face in the dimly lit passage. Peach's gaze darted between the Koopalings, her expression a mix of surprise and concern.

"We were just... uh..." Jr. stammered, struggling to find an explanation. Before Jr. could finish, Mario and the other Shy Gal maid showed up.

"What is going on here?" He asked.

The Shy Gal maid, maintaining her composed demeanor, pointed at Jr. and the Koopalings. "They were eavesdropping on our plans."

Mario got in front of Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids, ready to fight the Koopalings. With a stern expression, he confronted Jr. and the Koopalings. "What's the meaning of this? Why are you spying on Princess Peach?"

Jr. hesitated, the weight of conflicting emotions evident in his expression. "We just wanted to know what was happening. Dad isn't going to like this."

Peach, holding Berry close, regarded Jr. and his siblings with disappointment. "Why are you doing this? Can't you see we're trying to do what's best for Berry?"

The Koopalings, Jr. included, exchanged uneasy glances. Their loyalty to their father conflicted with wanting Berry to leave. They hated how Berry became the center of attention since she was a baby. But they didn't want to face the wrath of their father for letting Mario and Peach get away with Berry.

Jr. took a deep breath, attempting to convey a sense of understanding. "Look, we might not agree with everything Dad does, but family is important to us. We wanted to know what was happening, that's all."

Mario, still vigilant, replied, "Your father has caused enough trouble. We're just trying to give Berry a chance at a normal life."

Wendy, visibly upset, spoke up, "Normal life? What about us? What about Dad? You're taking Berry away from everything she knows!"

Larry added, "We need answers, and Dad won't be happy if we let you all just walk away."

Peach, maintaining her composure, responded, "We're not here to cause harm. We're leaving because it's the right thing for Berry." Bowser's distant roar echoed through the castle, a reminder of the looming threat.

The Shy Gal maid urged everyone to move quickly. "We can't stay here. King Bowser won't be happy about any of this. Let's go."

The group proceeded down the hidden passages, leaving Jr. and the Koopalings in the dimly lit corridor. Larry looked at his siblings, "We can't let them just leave, can we?"

Wendy said, "No, we can't! Dad will be furious! Let's follow them!"

The Koopalings, conflicted yet united, picked up Iggy's eavesdropping device and discreetly began to trail Mario, Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids.

As the group neared the castle's exit, the alarms grew louder, signaling that Bowser's minions were aware of the escape. The escapees hurriedly made their way out of the castle. Only to be stopped by Bowser. Bowser's booming voice echoed through the castle. "What's all this commotion? Where do you think you're going, Peach?"

Peach, keeping her composure, said to Bowser. "Bowser, it's time for Berry and me to leave. We can't stay here any longer."

Bowser, a mix of anger and disbelief on his face, approached them. "Leave? After everything I've done for you and our daughter? You won't take her away from me! She's better off here with me! In a kingdom where she's loved and cherished. What could you offer her in the Mushroom Kingdom? Endless parties and getting kidnapped by me again? Or how about your toads hating and despising her!? She deserves more than that."

Peach, understanding the gravity of the situation, responded to Bowser's impassioned plea, "Bowser, I appreciate what you've done, but Berry deserves a life where she can make her own choices. She needs to experience the world beyond the castle walls."

Bowser, torn between his love for Berry and his desire to protect her, growled in frustration. "You're making a mistake, Peach! You can't just take her away from everything she knows!" Mario, Yoshi, and the Shy Gal maids stood by Peach and Berry, ready to support Peach's decision. The Koopalings, hidden in the shadows, observed the scene, unsure of their role in this family drama.

Peach, with a gentle yet firm tone, said, "Bowser, we're not trying to hurt you. We just want what's best for Berry. Let her come with us, and we'll ensure she has a good life."

Bowser, his eyes reflecting a mixture of anger and sadness, roared, "No! I won't let you take her!"

The tension in the air escalated as Bowser's minions approached, alerted to the unfolding situation. The Koopalings, realizing the precariousness of the moment, debated amongst themselves whether to intervene.

Wendy whispered to her siblings, "We can't let them get away with Berry. Dad will be devastated."

Larry, pragmatic as always, cautioned, "But we can't defy Dad openly. We need a plan."

The Koopalings, fueled by a mix of loyalty and conflicting emotions, decided to stay hidden for the time being and assess the unfolding events.

Bowser, his fiery determination unyielding, took a step forward. "If you want her, you'll have to go through me!"

Mario, understanding the pain in Bowser's heart, stepped forward, attempting to defuse the confrontation. "Bowser, we don't want to fight. We just want Berry to have a chance at a different life."

Bowser, however, wasn't willing to back down. The clash between Mario and Bowser seemed inevitable, and the fate of Peach, Berry, and the entire Mushroom Kingdom hung in the balance. Bowser blew fire at Mario.

Mario skillfully dodged Bowser's fiery attack, leaping to the side with nimble agility. The intense flames illuminated the dark corridor, casting flickering shadows on the stone walls. Bowser, undeterred, continued his advance, determined to prevent Peach and Berry from leaving.

Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids moved back, creating a distance from the battle between the plumber and the Koopa King. The alarms blared louder, signaling the approaching footsteps of Bowser's minions. The Koopalings, still hidden, observed the unfolding confrontation with a mix of concern and uncertainty.

Mario, knowing that a direct confrontation with Bowser could escalate the situation further, attempted to reason with the fiery king. "Bowser, we don't want to fight. We just want Berry to have a chance at a different life. Let us go, and we won't cause any more trouble."

Bowser, his eyes ablaze with rage, roared defiantly. "You think you can just waltz in here and take her away? Not on my watch! Berry belongs here, with her family!" He blew fire again.

The Shy Gal maids whispered urgently to Peach, "We need to find another way out. The alarms have attracted too much attention. Follow us." Peach nodded, her gaze still fixed on the confrontation between Mario and Bowser. The tension in the air was palpable as the echoes of the battle filled the castle corridors.

"Mama, I'm scared." Berry said. Peach picks up Berry and held her close.

"It's okay. Everything will be all right."

Meanwhile, the Koopalings, torn between loyalty to their father and their complicated feelings toward Berry, quietly deliberated on their next move. Larry, the practical strategist, spoke in a hushed tone, "We can't let Mario and Peach take Berry away. Dad will never forgive us."

Wendy, her frustration evident, added, "But we also can't just stand here. If Dad finds out we let them go, he'll be furious. We need to do something."

Ludwig, the analytical mind, suggested, "Let's wait for the right moment to intervene. We can't let them leave, but we also need to avoid a direct confrontation with Mario."

The Koopalings, agreeing on a cautious approach, preparing to act when the time was right. Jr., Larry, Morton and Wendy went to shadow Peach and the Shy Gal Maids. Iggy, Roy, Lemmy and Ludwig shadowed Mario and Bowser. In the corridor leading to another exit, Peach and the Shy Gal maids found themselves facing a locked gate. The Shy Gal maid began examining the surroundings for a solution. "There must be a way to open this gate. We can't go back Bowser is back there."

Peach, keeping a watchful eye on Berry, nodded in agreement. "We need to find a way out quickly. Berry, stay close, sweetheart." Berry clutched onto Peach, her eyes wide with fear.

The other Shy Gal maid pulled out a ring of keys. "We need to try these keys. One of them must open the gate." She said, her hands moving swiftly as she tried different keys in the lock. As the Shy Gal maid worked on unlocking the gate, the distant sounds of Mario's ongoing battle with Bowser echoed through the corridors. The alarms continued to blare, a constant reminder of the urgency of their situation.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, Jr., Larry, Morton, and Wendy observed the scene, hidden from view. Larry whispered, "This is our chance. Let's grab Berry and get out of here before things get worse."

Wendy, however, hesitated, torn between her loyalty to her father and her conflicting emotions regarding Berry. "I don't know Larry, Peach seems set on taking her away.

"Which is why we can't let them leave. Dad might forgive us for stopping them, but he won't forgive us if we let Berry go." Larry asserts.

Morton, speaks, "We can't let Peach take Berry away. But we also don't want to hurt Berry. Dad will be furious." As the Koopalings debated their course of action, the Shy Gal maid successfully unlocked the gate. It creaked open, revealing a dark corridor on the other side. Peach and Berry, along with the Shy Gal maids, quickly moved through the gate.

On the opposite end of the corridor, Mario and Bowser continued their intense confrontation. Mario, dodging Bowser's attacks, spoke, "Bowser, we don't want to fight. We just want to ensure Berry's safety. Let us go, and we won't bother you or your kingdom again."

Bowser, fueled by both love and fury, roared, "I won't let you take her! She's my daughter, and she belongs here!"

Mario, growing increasingly concerned, spoke to Bowser with urgency. "Bowser, we can't keep going like this. Let Berry have a chance at a different life. It's for her own good."

Bowser, unwilling to yield, prepared for another round of attacks. "I won't let her go, Mario! She belongs here, and I won't let you take her away!"

As Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids reached the end of the corridor, they found themselves in a vast chamber with multiple exits. The Shy Gal maid leading the way urged, "This way! We can use the secret passages to navigate the castle undetected." Peach, trusting the Shy Gal maids, followed their lead, with Berry holding onto her tightly. The echoes of Bowser's roars and Mario's responses faded as they ventured deeper into the castle's hidden passages. In the hidden passages, Peach and Berry, guided by the Shy Gal maids, navigated the twists and turns of the castle's labyrinthine structure. The Shy Gal maid leading them explained, "These passages were built ages ago for emergencies. They'll take us outside the castle without being seen." The distant sounds of the ongoing clash between Mario and Bowser grew fainter. The Shy Gal maids quickened their pace, aware that every moment counted in their escape.

Jr., Larry, Morton, and Wendy stealthily followed Peach's trail, careful not to be detected. Jr., conflicted by his emotions, muttered to himself, "I need to do this for Dad. Berry belongs here with us." Feeling a bit of resentment that Peach is really Berry's mom.

Meanwhile, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig remained in the corridor, ready to confront Mario. Mario managed to create some distance from Bowser. Spotting Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig in the corridor, he approached cautiously. Yoshi, his loyal companion, let out a low growl, sensing the impending confrontation.

Mario, addressing the Koopalings, said, "We don't have to fight. Let us go, and we won't cause any more trouble."

Roy, the most hot-headed of the Koopalings, retorted, "You think we're just gonna let you take Berry away? Not a chance!"

Iggy grinned slyly. "We know your plans. We won't let you escape."

Lemmy, always the jester, added, "Yeah, Dad won't be happy if we let you go." Mario, assessing the situation, realized that a direct confrontation might be unavoidable. The fate of Peach, Berry, and the Mushroom Kingdom teetered on the edge as tensions reached a boiling point.

In the hidden passages, Peach and Berry neared the castle's exit. The cool night air greeted them as they emerged into the open. The Shy Gal maids, relieved to have made it this far, urged, "Quickly, this way! We have to get as far from the castle as possible." As they hurried away from Bowser's castle, Jr. and the Koopalings closed in on their position. The race against time intensified, and the decisions made in the coming moments would shape the destiny of all those involved.

As Peach, Berry, and the Shy Gal maids raced towards freedom, the night air filled with tension and uncertainty. Jr. and his group, planning to thwart their escape, closed in on their trail. Jr., leading the Koopalings, whispered to his siblings, "We can't let them get away. Dad won't forgive us."

"Then let's hurry! Dad will be furious if we mess this up." Wendy said.

Larry, whispered to the others, "We're almost there. Once we catch them, we need to bring Berry back to Dad."

As Peach and Berry approached the warp pipe, the Shy Gal maid said; "This pipe leads to a different part of the Mushroom Kingdom. You both should be safe for now."

Peach nodded, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and anticipation. "Let's go, Berry." The other Shy Gal maid activated the warp pipe, and Peach and Berry disappeared into its swirling vortex.

Jr. and the Koopalings reached the warp pipe just in time to see Peach and Berry vanish. Jr. gritted his teeth, frustration evident on his face. "We missed them!"

Larry stated; "We can't let them slip away. We need to use this warp pipe and catch up to them." The Koopalings, fueled by a combination of loyalty to their father and their own complex feelings, entered the warp pipe, following Peach and Berry to an unknown destination.

Mario, still facing off against Bowser's other children; he knew that the situation had reached a critical point. Mario, spoke to the Koopalings; "This doesn't have to end in a fight. Let us go, and we won't cause any more trouble."

Roy, being defiant, responded, "You're not leaving with Berry. Dad won't forgive us if we let you go."

Ludwig, the analytical one, assessed the situation. "We need to stop them here. If they escape through the warp pipe, it'll be harder to track them." As the tension escalated, the Koopalings and Mario stood at an impasse, each side unwilling to back down. Yoshi, sensing the rising conflict, growled in anticipation.

Peach and Berry emerged from the warp pipe in a different part of the Mushroom Kingdom. The night air was calm, and the distant sounds of Bowser's castle were replaced by the quiet rustling of the forest. "Let's keep moving Berry. The castle is not that far from here." Peach said, Berry held her hand. The two ventured deeper into the kingdom. The escape had succeeded. Peach wished that she could thank the maids for helping her and Berry.

Back in Bowser's castle, Bowser, furious and heartbroken, approached Mario, who was still in the corridor. The alarms continued to blare, echoing the chaos that had unfolded.

"You! This is all your fault!" Bowser bellowed, his fiery eyes fixed on Mario.

Mario, undeterred, replied, "Bowser, I just want Berry to have a chance at a different life. It's not about causing trouble for you."

Bowser, torn between anger and sadness, growled, "You took her away! She's mine! I won't let you ruin her life!"

The Koopalings, having returned through the warp pipe, joined their father. Jr., with frustration in his voice, said, "We almost had them, but they used a warp pipe. They could be anywhere now."

Bowser, seething with rage, turned to his children. "You let them get away?!" The Koopalings, conflicted by their loyalty and their own desires for Berry, stood in silence. The castle's alarms continued to blare, creating an atmosphere of tension and uncertainty. Bowser, still seething with anger, faced the Koopalings. His voice thundered through the corridor, "Explain yourselves! How could you let them escape?"

Jr., feeling the weight of his father's disappointment, tried to justify their actions. "We tried to stop them, but they used a warp pipe. We couldn't follow in time."

Bowser's eyes narrowed, the flames in them flickering with a mix of fury and betrayal. "You've let me down, all of you. She's my daughter! Your sister! And you let her slip away! You did this on purpose didn't you!? With the way your treated her! You all wanted her gone!"

The Koopalings, shocked by their father's accusation, exchanged uneasy glances. Wendy, unable to bear the accusation, stepped forward and protested, "No, Dad! We didn't want her gone. We just didn't want her to take you away from us. We're your children too!"

Larry added, "We were trying to protect her, Dad. We had eavesdropped on Peach's plans to escape so we can stop her from taking Berry."

Bowser, his anger still smoldering, pointed a claw at them. "Protecting her!? You've jeopardized everything! She's out there, with Peach, and it's all because you couldn't keep her here! She was my one chance to unite the Koopa and Mushroom Kingdom and you ruined it!"

Roy, always quick to defend his siblings, retorted, "We didn't know Peach was going to make her escape so quickly. We were just trying to figure out what was happening."

Ludwig, the most composed of the Koopalings, interjected, "Perhaps if we work together, we can find them and bring Berry back."

Larry, spoke up, "Dad, we couldn't just attack them. It would've caused even more chaos."

Bowser, pacing in frustration, grumbled, "Chaos or not, she was supposed to stay here with us. Now she's out there, facing things beyond her world!"

Wendy, her frustration boiling over, added, "She has Peach! What about us? What about you, Dad?"

Bowser's eyes softened briefly as he regarded his children. The conflict within him was palpable, torn between his love for Berry and the realization that she might be better off outside the castle walls.

Mario, sensing the turmoil, spoke up, "Bowser, it's not about hurting you or the kingdom. We just want Berry to have a chance at a different life. A life where she can make her own choices."

Bowser, his anger simmering beneath the surface, looked at Mario. "You think you can just take her away and everything will be fine?"

Mario, his tone sincere, responded, "We want what's best for her. We didn't mean for it to happen this way."

The castle's alarms gradually subsided, leaving an uneasy silence in their wake. Bowser, still grappling with his emotions, sighed heavily. "I need some time alone. Figure out on what want to do next." He pointed a claw at the Koopalings "We'll find them. We'll bring her back. But if any of you betray me again, you all will face consequences." The Koopalings exchanged glances, unsure of their next steps. Bowser, without another word, retreated into the depths of the castle, leaving his children to ponder what their dad has in store for them.

In the depths of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach and Berry continued their journey. The night was calm, and the forest around them exuded an air of serenity. As they ventured further, Peach couldn't shake the lingering worry about the consequences of their escape. She glanced down at Berry, who walked beside her with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

"Mama, do you think we made the right choice?" Berry asked, her eyes searching for reassurance.

Peach smiled, her heart heavy with both doubt and certainty. "We did what we thought was best, sweetheart. We'll face whatever comes our way together and Mario will help us."

Berry nodded, gripping Peach's hand a little tighter. The echoes of Bowser's castle were replaced by the sounds of nature, creating a stark contrast to the life Berry had left behind. The night air was cool, and the rustling leaves provided a soothing backdrop to their journey. Peach, glancing down at Berry, spoke softly, "You're going to be happy at the castle, Berry. You'll make friends and live a normal life."

Berry, holding onto Peach's hand, looked up with a mixture of apprehension and hope. "I miss Daddy Mama."

Peach smiled warmly at Berry her heart filled with sympathy. "We'll make this work, Berry. I promise."
