Three weeks past since Hiccup left Berk heart broken.

Two weeks later Dagur and two ships arrived on Berk.
Stoick ask "Dagur? What brings you here?"
Dagur sighs "I came to bring you good news and bad news."
Stoick ask "can you tell me?"
Dagur answers "the good news is that Hiccup ended the dragon raids by himself with his Night Fury. The bad news is he perished in the flames. I'm sorry to have to tell you this.
The last thing he told me was that all he wanted was to be accepted as himself and loved by his ex-wife."
Stoick sighs sadly "oh, Hiccup."
Astrid cries "no! Hiccup! You can't die on me!"
Dagur sighs "the Berserker tribe is at the dragon island setting up a cross to honor him."
Stoick and Berkins sail to dragon island to honor Hiccup's memory.
Astrid collapsed at the tombstone and cries "I pledge to never get married again."
Berkins honor her wishes.
Unknown Hiccup survived with a broken leg and is awake on island of Gaul.
The Chief and Dagur hid Hiccup from the tribes.
Chief of Gaul ask "so what happen to you?"
Hiccup sighs "I ran away from my tribe because they didn't want me. I had a wife and she decided to cheat on me with my cousin. I ended the dragon raids."
Chief of Gaul comments "well your safe here."
Two months later, Hiccup's leg was healed.
He left the healer on the village and began a dragon training academy for the village of Gaul.
Girls found him interesting.
Only one girl stood out, Sophie.
She found him cute and while he was healing, she did all his food delivery.
After he was clear, she ask for him to court her.
Hiccup and Sophie started doing everything together as friends.
He referred himself as Dragon Master when visitors arrived.
He wore a mask to hide his identity.
He also hid Toothless in the forest.
Sophie walked down to the forge and ask "Hiccup? What's you doing?"
Hiccup answers "just finishing up an order. Would you like to go out on a date?"
Sophie grins "yes."
Hiccup sighs "you know last time I had a crush on a girl, she became an evil little brat who said mean things to me."
Sophie smiles "yeah, you told the tribe what happened to your ex-wife."
Hiccup shuts the forge down and leaves with Sophie to go do something.
They decided to have a picnic on the beach.
A month later, Hiccup showed Sophie the Northern Lights.
After the flight, Sophie grabbed his shirt and kissed him on the lips and says "thanks for the date. It was romantic."
Hiccup nervous answers "your welcome."
Trader Johann arrived next month to trade wares.
Hiccup introduced himself as "Dragon Master."
Johann ask "Dragon Master?"
Hiccup nods his head "yes."
Johann comments "I come with news that Berk Chief has been sad that Master Hiccup died ending the dragon raids. Miss Hofferson has been rejecting marriage contracts and suitors."
Hiccup sighs "well that is terrible news."
