"...yeah so, if you want you can move in with us?" Mamikos heart skipped a beat after that sentence. "... are you still there?" the voice on her phone asked. "Oh yes! I'm so happy right now! I cannot wait to move in!" she exclaimed. "Hahaha, slow slow dear! Breathe!" The guy on the phone chuckled. Mamiko could not believe it. She was in search for a flat - a room to be more precise- as she will start her masters program soon and now the best shared flat she visited offered her a room! "Okay, so we're also happy you still want to move in with us. About the contract with the landlord…" Mamiko listened only with one ear, as she still danced around due to her now good mood. Soon she will move and start a new chapter in her life. Her other two roomates looked in confusion at the blonde jumping around the flat.

"Okay, perfect! Can't wait to move in." She smiled and said goodbye to her soon-to-be roommate. "Who was that? Was is the new shared flat?" Her at-the-moment roommates walked in her room. "Yeah! Oh, I'm somehow happy to start a new chapter, but I'll miss you guys…" They all hugged for a moment. The other two sat on her sofa and made themselves comfortable. "We'll miss you too! But tell us about the new flat! And the roommates." Jules asked. "Although they will never reach our awesomeness level" added her other roommate Nik. They all chuckled "Of course not! You have been and will always the absolute best roommate, Nicolas!" Mamiko exaggerated overly dramatic while holding onto her chest. "How will I ever survive without your presence?" While Nik tried to nod in agreement with a serious face, both Mamiko and Jules could no longer hold back their laughter. "Oh dear! I really hope the new flatmates will be this funny…" Mamiko gasped between fits of laughter. "But seriously, tell us about them." Jules asked while still chuckling. Her blonde roommate smiled. "So, it's a mixed shared flat like here, with two girls - me and Shoko- and another dude - Suguru. The girl is studying medicine, so I guess she will be really busy, but she was so nice during the interview and the guy - Suguru - is doing his PhD in biotechnology. I think his topic is about new kinds of fishing nets that will dissolve themselves after time, so fish don't get caught in there." You tried to remember. Both Jules and Nik exchanged a meaningful glance. "What?" Mamiko asked. "You know… don't get caught in some weird love-roomate situationship…" Jules said carefully. "What? No! He's nice, but - argh - guys! It's not like that! Yeah, I think I like the topic-" Mamiko started, but Nik interjected "so you're hooked." Jules let out a snort. Mamiko send him a "Really?" glare, but could not prevent the corners of her mouth twitching.
