I recently played Lost Legacy again and I had forgotten just how much chemistry these two have! Of course, I don't own any rights to the Uncharted franchise. Enjoy!

Chloe awoke to the slight tingling sensation of a finger tracing slow, light patterns on her back. She smiled to herself before sleepily rolling over to be faced with a sight she was still getting used to- Nadine's smiling face, laying against the pillows barely inches from her own.

"Good morning," Chloe whispered, leaning over and kissing Nadine's cheek.

"Morning," Nadine replied, smiling softly. Chloe glanced over Nadine's shoulder to the clock behind her and frowned.

"5:30? Really?" Chloe raised an eyebrow. Nadine had always been a morning person, but Chloe definitely was not.

"I didn't mean to wake you. I was just admiring your story," Nadine told her cryptically, "your scars," she explained when Chloe gave her a blank look.

"Which ones? I have collected many over the years," Chloe questioned, a smirk crossing her face.

"Comes with the job, it seems," Nadine replied, noting how many new cuts and scrapes she had picked up since beginning her partnership with Chloe.

"That is true," Chloe laughed, knowing she'd lost count of her scars and bruises many years ago. Nadine laughed with her and Chloe's heart swelled. Something about the sound of Nadine's laughter warmed her very soul. It was infectious in the most beautiful way and she couldn't help but feel lifted by it.

"How did you get this?" Nadine asked once their laughter died down, running her finger lightly over the curved scar down her arm.

"Battling an alligator," Chloe replied nonchalantly and Nadine raised an eyebrow sceptically at her.

"Seriously?" Nadine scoffed, despite the smile pulling at her lips.

"It's a long story but that's the basis of it, yeah," Chloe shrugged.

"What about this one?" Nadine pointed to the faint scar on her hip.

"Falling off a cliff side in Egypt," Chloe smiled as though she was fond of the memory. Nadine rolled her eyes but smiled with her nonetheless.

"This one?" Nadine's finger hovered over a small cut on her jaw.

"That was from when you punched me in the face," Chloe smirked and Nadine felt her cheeks go pink with embarrassment.

"Sorry about that," she mumbled, looking down slightly.

"It's okay," Chloe chuckled as she wrapped an arm around Nadine's shoulders, "I suppose I can forgive you,"

Slowly, she leant forward and pressed her lips to Nadine's; yet another thing Chloe was still getting used to. Instantly, Nadine smiled into the kiss and wrapped an arm around Chloe's waist. With a swift tug, she rolled onto her back and pulled Chloe on top of her. She smirked as Chloe squeaked in surprise against her lips before sitting up, her legs now straddling Nadine's hips.

"What was that for?" Chloe questioned, despite the smile on her lips at seeing the twinkle in Nadine's eyes as she looked up at her.

"Because why not?" Nadine shrugged, placing her hands on Chloe's hips.

"Well, if this is what the lady desires, I shall not protest," Chloe joked, leaning down and pressing her lips to Nadine's once more.

"How about this one?" Nadine mumbled against Chloe's lips, her fingers brushing against a surprisingly straight scar down her back.

"A rather literal stab in the back from someone I thought I could trust," Chloe sighed and sat up slightly, the memory stinging her thoughts as it flashed through her mind. Nadine reached up and brushed a stray lock of hair from Chloe's face before running her fingers down Chloe's cheek.

"I hope you stabbed them back," Nadine said with such affection that Chloe couldn't help but smile.

"Only you could make something so violent sound so sweet," Chloe chuckled, shaking her head, "but if you must know... yes I did stab them back, a couple times actually,"

"They deserved it," Nadine nodded and Chloe laughed before leaning down and kissing her again. And the only thing she could think about was how lucky she was to have this woman in her arms, even if it was far too early in the morning.
