Back at Lumiose City, Diantha was brushing the mane of her Tyrantrum and watching the news when a blur of black caught the corner of her eye. "Bonjour?" Diantha asked nervously before her Tyrantrum got up and attempted to open the door, its small arms barely tapping the doorknob. Diantha soon opened the door and was greeted to the sight of Professor Sycamore and Lysandre standing in front of her. "Professor? Lysandre? What are you two doing here?" she said, perplexed, before continuing. "What happened to Lysandre?" An awkward silence soon followed before Lysandre began to explain his current condition. "After that birthday fiasco, I woke up as a large dragon, so that's the reason why I look the way I do. I also have to apologise for not taking home that gift you got me. I forgot." More silence followed.

After a minute, Diantha sighed. "Come in. And for you, Lysandre, watch your head." While Professor Sycamore easily entered his friend's lounge room, Lysandre had to lower his neck and tried not to step on his wings. He also tucked his tail between his legs. While his friends sat on the chairs, he merely sat on the floor. "I have a few questions for you, Lysandre. Are you okay with that?" Diantha asked, her voice gaining an air of strictness. Lysandre merely nodded before Diantha asked him the first question. "Do you know HOW you became a dragon?" Lysandre thought for a few minutes before replying with a simple "I don't know. I went to sleep and the next day, I'm this big wyvern-thing." Diantha nodded before moving on to the next question. "Did your parents tell you about dragons or any werecreatures?" Lysandre shook his head. "No, I don't believe so. I heard about weredragons in different regions, but not once did they tell me they existed in the Kalos region…"

For the next half-hour, Lysandre was bombarded with question after question before Diantha thought that she asked enough questions to this dragon. After all, he did become tired and even frustrated before he went back to Professor Sycamore. He then started to cry. "Is he okay?" Diantha asked, putting a delicate hand on Lysandre's scales. "I think he needs some time out. You DID ask him some personal questions." Professor Sycamore explained before Diantha responded with just a simple "I apologise for infringing on your friend's boundaries."

Eventually, Lysandre calmed down and breathed deeply. "…Monsieur? Is something bothering you?" Diantha asked timidly. "No. It's just… I had a crisis. What the hell am I? Am I some sort of human-dragon being?" Lysandre responded, his voice nearly breaking. He soon felt a tender hand touch his snout. "You're still you, Lysandre. That's all you are." Diantha whispered softly into his ear. "I think my friend and I need to go now." Professor Sycamore said, sitting up. Lysandre also got up and followed his friend to the door. Diantha didn't say anything, but opened the door. While she struggled with the perfect words to send off her friends, her eyes and smile had a bittersweet expression. "Salut, Diantha!" Professor Sycamore waved towards his friend. With that, Lysandre and Professor Sycamore became just a mere blot as they flew away while Diantha watched on. While she looked on longingly, her Tyrantrum came up to her and gently nuzzled her arm. "Tyra? Rant-rantrum?" it asked, genuinely curious. "It's alright, Tyrantrum. I'm sure my friends will be okay." Diantha replied, putting a tender hand on her Pokémon's snout. Her friends WOULD be okay.
