The Beginning of the End
"I would choose your last words wisely if I were you." The primordial sneered, standing victoriously over the fallen hero. Said hero lifted her head trembling in order to face the other demigod. "I love you now and always." His eyes widened as the spell finally broke and he whispered, voice and mind broken "What have I done..". He stared at the girl he once loved as she took her final breath and used the last of her strength to smile at him. His final wish to the Gods above was one of forgiveness and to be reunited with the love of his life as he stepped into the sea. Forcing the water to enter the lungs and fill him as his eyes closed for the final time. The Gods, bruised and broken on their Olypian thrones watched as the greatest heroes of this generation were vanquished from the mortal coil. The only sound in the throne room being screams of anguish from heartbroken parents.
Months Earlier:
Percy woke to find himself floating in a video of darkness, the suffocating feeling of power being one he knew all too well. There was something different about the power this time though, it felt cold and all consuming, rage and power evident in the figure in front of him. The son of Poseidon stayed silent as the figure stepped out of the darkness to reveal what looked like a Goddess but this being radiated a power far greater than he felt from any others up until this point. "You will know my name soon enough, little demigod but for now I needed to establish this connection between us." Before Percy could respond to the mysterious women he was pulled from the land and from sleep altogether. Shooting straight up in his bed he glanced around, slowly remembering he was at camp and safe in his cabin. It had only been a few weeks since the fall of Kronos and he, like most of the camp, was still on edge from the war. Glancing at the clock on his wall Percy could see it was only 4 am but there was no way he was getting back to sleep after something like that. Far too many questions regarding the immortals identity and purpose were swirling around in his head. It was also far too early to leave his cabin since the large majority of camp would still be asleep at this time. With nothing else to do Percy went and sat in the fountain that was standing in the center of his cabin, like usual feeling more at ease in the water than anywhere else. Soon the dream was little more than a thought in the back of his mind.
