This is one of a couple of story ideas I've had for a while, so this story will only have 1 chapter until it gets enough follow, favorite and review. I will have more 1 chapter stories that I will continue on if it gets popular enough, so check it out when it comes out. but now to this story

My first language is not English. I don't own MHA or Type-Moon

I, can't breathe, it hurts so much, why does it hurt so much?

"Hey!"

It hurts so much, my lungs are burning and I can hardly think with this headache.

"Hey! Hey!"

Izuku tried to figure out what happened, but he doesn't remember it at all, all he remembers is that Kacchan destroyed his notebook, and then…

"Hey! Hey! He– Oh Good!"

Izuku opened his eyes, but what he saw was not the world he had known in his entire life, everything from the trees, the wall, the sky above and the man in front of him, everything had the red lines on it. And that's when it came, the pain.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!"

All Might looked at the boy on the ground in front of him in surprise, he had saved this young man from a villain he had been chasing. The boy had been attacked, but All Might could not see any injuries, he was just about to say "I'm glad you're okay", when the boy started screaming on the ground.

Unfortunately he didn't know what to do, touching him might be a bad idea, some Quirks can make touching dangerous if you don't know what it does, even for him. The memory of when he saved a little girl, and because of her Quirk, his hand didn't stop itching for three months.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

Oh yeah, the young man. All Might calls for an ambulance, and a police car for the villain he had just stuffed into a soda bottle.

Izuku tried to open his eyes again, this time he saw no red lines. He tried to get up, but was stopped by a headache. When he looked around, he saw that he was not in his room, but in a hospital room.

Huh, why am I here? What happened? I saw lines, but before that…

That's when he remembered, he had been attacked by a Villain, and almost died. There was someone who was almost covered by red lines. No, it wasn't just him, but everything, he just had more than anything else. Who was he? Izuku was about to press a button that would call for a nurse, but as he reached to press the button, something inside him opened, more specifically his eyes.

Once again the world had been covered with the red lines, and the pain returned. He didn't know what to do, just that he needed help, so again he reached for the button, but because of the pain he couldn't see, and he didn't see the red line on the button.

Izuku didn't know what was happening, he heard a loud sound of something falling to the ground. He tried again to open his eyes to see what was going on, and realized that there were no red lines, and he looked at a nurse and an elderly man who both looked at him in surprise. Izuku wondered why until he realized they were in another room, and the wall was in big in small pieces.

After a couple of hours where Izuku was accused of using a Quirk, until they moved him to a new room and checked him out and found nothing wrong. He didn't have to pay for the wall because he doesn't have a Quirk to break it with, but when his mother came and started crying, then they had to pay for water damage.

He only needed to stay there one more day after that before he could come home, and the red lines hadn't come back, but he wondered what it was, and he had an idea, but he needed to confirm if it was true or if he just hoped.

It's been a couple of days since Izuku was in the hospital, he had gone home and into his room, he wasn't sure how it worked, but he has a few ideas. His…Quirk must have woken up when he almost died, and the pain after was from his body not being used to it. So, the first thing he should do is figure out how to turn on his Quirk. As for optical Quirk, it's probably passive or needs to be activated, and from what he's experienced so far, his Quirk is Emitter type.

Izuku wrote down his thoughts in a notebook, then looked hard at a soda bottle he bought on the way home, it was empty but should be a good test of his Quirk. From what he experienced from the hospital, it looks like he may have the power to break things, but how?

Izuku stared harder at the soda bottle, but nothing happened, then he tried to blink a couple of times to see if it worked, but it didn't. Izuku leaned back in his chair, he tried to remember everything, but the pain he was in made it hard to remember what he did.

Let me see, I saw the lines, then I touched the wall, and it broke, what did I do to make it work? Maybe… If I don't do in the right order, what if I do it first? I know the effect starts when I touched the wall, but do I have to have the optical part on?

In an effort that Izuku didn't really believe in, but tried his best, he reached out for the soda bottle. Izuku felt something in his eyes, it was like he was concentrating on something, but he didn't know what. And that's when he saw it, red lines stretched around his hand, soda bottle and the room, there were even some in the air.

He didn't know how he did it, but he kept testing his Quirk, which he apparently had. Izuku touched the soda bottle and nothing happened, this time he touched one of the red lines, it felt strange. Izuku picked up the soda bottle as he touched it, there was definitely something on it, but he didn't know what the red lines were made of. He tried to ignore the headache, but the more he stared at the red lines the worse it got. Izuku's finger followed one of the zigzagging lines, it almost felt like something could enter the line, like it was a crack.

The soda bottle fell out of his hand, he quickly tried to catch it, but that's when he realized it. The soda bottle fell out of his hand because it was in pieces, he checked the pieces on the floor and saw that it had broken where the lines were, and that's when he realized it. The lines show where it broke, and that's how it worked, he follows the line and objects get destroyed.

Izuku was so happy that he almost forgot about his headache, almost. Now he has to figure out how to turn it off. Izuku first tried to close his eyes and then open them, it didn't work. Now he got worried, Quirk-exhauston is something you should be careful with when you get a Quirk. He still remembers how Kacchan got a hand cramp for using his Quirk too quickly when he got it. Izuku pressed his palms in front of his eyes, it felt like his eyes were pulsing against his palm.

After a while it stopped pulsing and Izuku lifted his face out of his hands, and everything was back to normal, and that's when he saw it. One of his fingers had a bluish-purple color and is bent the other way. That's when the pain came, and Izuku screamed.

Toshinori Yagi stepped into an elevator and pushed the button to the right floor. He was prepared to become All Might right when the elevator door is about to open. He was there for a reason, he had failed as a Hero, he had saved a boy from a villain, and afterwards he had screamed in pain. Toshinori has only seen someone scream in pain like that only when something has been broken, and it was probably his Texas Smash. The villains Sludge Quirk shouldn't have broken anything so easily, but his Texas Smash is a whole other story.

The elevator door opened, and All Might stepped out, he walked towards the door that would lead him to the Midoriya household. All Might wanted to ask for forgiveness for hurting him, he hoped he could forgive his failure to catch the villain before he hurt someone. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer, but heard nothing, he then knocked again, but he still couldn't hear anything inside the apartment.

"Heh, isn't anyone home, but the young Midoriya school ended a little more than an hour ago? Did they have a place to be?"

With the Midoriya's.

"How did you manage to break your finger?" "It wasn't even twenty minutes since you got home."

Izuku had broken his finger when he broke the soda bottle, afterwards his mother had taken him back to the hospital who was surprised to see him a day after he was cleared. After a quick Quirk operation it had fixed his finger, well almost. The Docton's Quirk just put the bones together and there was still a lot of pain in the finger.

"Um, you see… I don't have a good way to explain it," Izuku said, not sure how to explain it.

"Izuku". His mother looked at him like she knew he was hiding something. "You can tell me everything, I won't be angry".

Izuku's will bent to it, after all he had no desire to hide it from her. "Um, Mom… I think, I think I have a Quirk".

There was a silence between them, Izuku waiting to see how his mother would react and Inko not knowing how she would react.

"What, what do you mean Izuku?" The low and uncertain voice almost caused Izuku to break into tears at a reason he didn't understand.

"I- I have a Quirk. I don't really know how to turn it on, or how it works, but I can do something." Izuku looked up at his mother. "I can be a hero".

"Um, I understand you're having a family talk, but if you have an unregistered Quirk, you're required by law to register it, and then we need to test it. Shall we make an appointment for that". The doctor who had fixed one of the three bones in Izuku's finger, was still in the room. Completely forgotten by the Midoriya.

The two Midoriya looked at each other and then back at the doctor, saying at the same time, "Yes please".

Izuku hadn't figured out how to activate his Quirk, and the tests he has to do are tomorrow. He had been staring so hard at a bag of chips that his mother began to worry about him.

It had been three days since he broke his finger, and in those three days he had only managed to activate his Quirk once.

"Izuku, it might be good if you take a break, it's not good if you burn yourself out."

Izuku breathed out and said, "ok mom" and then went to his room. In his room he went to his desk and looked into one of his notebooks. Everything he knows about his Quirk is in it, but it doesn't say how he can use it, he's tried everything online. But most that is online are for children around four years old so…

"Err". He leaned back, wondering if he could figure out his Quirk before U.A entrance exam, or if he would miss it. "What am I missing? I know I have one, even if it hurts, but it hasn't stopped me, so why?"

He went through everything, from what he has written down in notebook 1 to number 13, everything he can remember about his Quirk and everyone else, he also went through his parents extra some to see if there was anything similar between them.

"Izuku Izuku, it's time to wake up."

Izuku flinched as he realized his mother was calling out to him. He looked at his mother and said, "Huh?"

"It's morning, the test will start in three hours".

"WHAT!?"

..

"Ah, Miss Midoriya and young Midoriya, let me go over what we are going to do today".

Izuku had been trying to figure out how to activate his Quirk, he had hoped his whole life to become a Hero, but he can't even get his stupid Quirk to work, is he really a Deku?

Izuku had fallen asleep before figuring out how to activate his Quirk, and he hadn't figured it out on the way or in the waiting room. And now he's in the room, with a doctor who is probably going to tell him he has no Quirk, and he can't become a Hero.

"Midoriya Izuku, can you step into the room and use your Quirk," the doctor said, pointing to a door.

"I can't," Izuku said, shame in his voice.

The Doctor looked at him in surprise until his mother explained. "My son has been having trouble activating his Quirk on command, and is concerned that he can't display it during the test."

"Ah I see, no problem, the room is not only to understand how Quirk works, but can help with it. It includes getting it up and running, and I have helped with similar situations before, but never someone this old".

Izuku looked up at the puppet, and he looked back with a smile. He then went through the door and came into an almost completely white room, with a mirror that is probably a one-way window. It was a dummy that had a drawn face of a villain on it from what he would guess is a children's cartoon.

"Ok Midoriya, start by going up to the dummy and trying to use your Quirk," said the voice of the doctor from a microphone.

Izuku walked up to the dummy and concentrated on it, he tried with all his might to activate the optical part of his Quirk. He reached out to touch the dummy, hoping it would activate his Quirk like before.

Nothing happened, he touched the dummy and nothing happened. No red lines or headaches, everything was as usual.

"It is no problem Midoriya, it happens, there are a couple of tricks that we can try. I want you to try to think about what you want to happen, instead of trying to activate it".

What do I want to happen? Izuku looked down at his hand and thought about what happened to the soda can and the wall. Izuku reached out again, this time muttering one thing several times in his head.

Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break Break

The unfamiliar yet familiar feeling of when his Quirk activated, and the world became covered in the red lines. Izuku reached out to touch and follow one of the dummy's lines, but Izuku wasn't prepared for the words that came out of his mouth.

"Die"

The dummy falls in two pieces, split by the line, but that wasn't what Izuku was focused on. Why did he say die? Had he spent too much time with Kacchan? No, it doesn't feel like it was like that, it was like it was the only right word. Death, why does it feel like that's the right description? Izuku asked himself, with another broken finger.

"Excellent Midoriya, I said it was nothing to worry about".

The voice of the doctor was heard in the room, and Izuku turned to the one way window and was surprised. He could see a couple of red lines on it. No, behind the windows, it was moving, as if it were alive, but it was not only that, but also a green line and a gray one.

Izuku realized what he saw and said. "Hey, I can see you, or I can see your lines".

There was a couple of seconds of silence before the microphone went on, but he didn't hear the Doctor's voice, but his mother's." Waaaaaaaaah, my Izuku has a Quirk!".(Crying noises)

"Miss Midoriya! Please control your Quirk! The machines in this room are not waterproof! Um Midoriya, Izuku Midoriya, what do you mean by our lines?".

"Oh, I figured you couldn't see them, I knew there was a chance that instead of putting lines on everything I see, it instead lets me see it. But the lines feel different, and that's how I know there's something physical in it mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble".

"Miss Midoriya stop crying!"

"My son has a Quirk!". (Crying noises)

An hour later and in another room.

"Ok, I've gone through everything, it looks like your Quirk is one of an optical sub-type. When activated, it seems that your eyes become a mix of colors, more specifically red, green and blue. My scanners couldn't see how you see the red lines, or if you make them. It couldn't even see how you broke the dummy, if you ask my scanners you touched it and it broke".

Izuku looked at the doctor, his broken finger bandaged, and asked. "So, what does my Quirk do".

"Like my scanners said, you touch something, and it breaks. You could even see it on us through the window, but I don't know what it was about the different lines. You said everyone has been red?"

"Yes, all that I have seen have been red, but the red and the colorful one both moved".

"I see, well it looks like we'll have to wait to name it. There is far too little we know about it, your Quirk is really interesting young Midoriya".

Izuku couldn't help but chuckle at it and start smiling like an idiot, but it was something that he needed to ask. "Hey, do you think I can be a Hero with my Quirk?"

"Um, good question. You're unused to it, and it's dangerous, but it's like that with most Pro Heros too, so yeah, why not".

Izuku's smile grew wider, a weight that has held him down for years has been lifted. But there was something holding him back, and another heavy weight fell upon him.

Why does it feel like those I'm looking at are going to die, why couldn't I describe that I broke the dummy, but instead it feels right to describe that I killed it?

And that was that. Ok, this story will be about Izuku having The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, and how he will try to become a Hero, even though his Quirk is only made to kill. Izuku can also turn off his Quirk (Right now). This is because he doesn't have a link to the void, or Mystic Eye Killers Mystic Code, which I have no good reason to give Izuku. And without them, his mind will break.

Yes, I know the pace of this story is so-so, but I didn't know how to fix it. And as for Izuku's finger, from what I've seen, all Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are unique. So I decided that if he uses his finger, he breaks it, even without One For All he still breaks them.
