Hey Everybody, Rathian here with yet another chapter. Yeah this one needed much needed love with some of the stuff, but on to that later. First Though I do wanna point out as these come out the Original will remain alive. I have no plans on taking it Down and will be restoring the origninal chapter 1. I am viewing this, as a kinda way that people can look at the original stuff I did chapters vs. how I am doing them now. Now this will be the shortest of the Chapters just cause of the cut stuff I have done. With that being said onto the chapter

Chapter 5: The Will of Fire
As the wind slashed through the dense emerald foliage of the Forest, Naruto tore through the tranquility with a whirlwind of action. His batons gripped tightly in his hands, he raced forward with the intensity of a hurricane.
"This seems like a good place to start," Naruto declared, swiftly activating buttons on both batons. In a seamless motion, he combined them into a formidable hilt and, with another press, summoned a vibrant green blade forged from pure dust. Without hesitation, he drove the blade deep into the bark of a tree, sliding down its trunk with the grace of a seasoned warrior. As he reached the ground, Naruto executed a superhero landing, sending shockwaves through the earth.
Rising swiftly from his imposing landing, Naruto casually brushed off the dirt and bark clinging to his jacket. His focus, however, was abruptly interrupted by an exuberant "Woo-hoo!" echoing overhead. He glanced upward, spotting Yang soaring through the sky.
"God damn it, Yang," Naruto muttered, his irritation evident as he immediately set off in the direction of his sister's last known trajectory.
As he moved with purpose, Naruto's thoughts raced. 'Professor Ozpin mentioned the relics are to the North. If I keep heading in this direction, I might cross paths with someone—preferably Ruby, Yang, Pyrrha, or maybe even Blake.'
Unbeknownst to him, a dozen pairs of eyes silently tracked his every move, hidden in the shadows of the emerald canopy.
Naruto's momentum abruptly halted as a growl echoed behind him. Slowly turning his head, he spotted six Vulpines approaching.
"Vulpines," Naruto stated, narrowing his eyes and switching his blade to red. "Well, come on then!"
"LOOK OUT BELOW!" A voice called, diverting Naruto's attention upward just in time for a girl to crash into him. "Sorry."
With a quick assessment of the newcomer—a girl in a white corset, red mini skirt, thigh-high boots, and wielding a light blue rapier—Naruto raised an eyebrow. "It's fine, but do you mind getting off? We're kinda surrounded."
Realizing the situation, the girl hastily scrambled off Naruto, her face flushed with embarrassment. "Oh my god, Naruto Xiao-Long, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you."
"It's fine!" Naruto said, getting up and assuming a fighting stance. "You can fangirl after we take out these Vulpines."
"R-Right!" The Girl said still having a blush on her face pulling out her sword and got into a fencing position.
The Vulpines circled, their eyes gleaming with predatory intent. Naruto and the girl faced the encroaching creatures with a synchronized resolve. In an instant, the air crackled with energy as Naruto lunged forward, his blade slashing through the air in a deadly dance. He dispatched two Vulpines with swift and precise strikes, their forms dissipating into ash.
The girl, not to be outdone, twirled her rapier with elegance and finesse. Each calculated thrust and parry was a testament to her skill, sending sparks flying as she gracefully danced through the battlefield. Another pair of Vulpines fell under the combined assault, their growls silenced by the clash of metal.
"Watch out!" Naruto called switching his sword back to batons twirling them and fired dust rounds into a Vulpine that was sneaking up on the girl.
"Thanks!" The girl said to Naruto coming up to him.
"Don't thank me yet we still got the other one and the Apex Vulpine." Naruto said narrowing his eyes at the remaining Grim.
The big Vulpine got on its hind legs and roared at the two as the small one charged but was grabbed by orange appendage coming from Naruto as his body flickers gold as if he was on fire. Naruto then crushes the grim by tightening his fist making the grim dissolve entirely. The Apex Vulpine then proceeded to charge at two it's mouth widening as blue and red particles started to gather causing Naruto's eyes to widen as his shift his weapons back into sword form takes one step and suddenly vanishing appearing behind the grim not even a second later as the Vulpine falls to the ground dead.
"Wowww… that was so cool!" The girl cheered as Naruto turned back to here as his semblance disappeared. "So what kind of Grim were those I've never seen those kind before?"
"Those were Vulpine, Fox like Grimm that are extremely territorial." Naruto said looking around for anymore Grimm then sighed in relief when none was seen.
"Hm I never heard of Vulpine, are they native to Vale?" The Girl asked looking towards the blond.
"What… Yeah you can really only find them around Vale, but I've heard rumors that are more in Mistral." Naruto said looking at the girl. "So what's your name?"
"Hmm!" The Girl hummed looking at Naruto with a confused look on her face.
"Well I need to know the name of my Partner for the next four years." Naruto said with a smile which made the girl's eyes widen and gained a massive blush.
"... I'm gonna be your partner?" The girl said shakily.
"Yeah, I mean we made eye contact did we not?" Naruto said.
"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH, my partner is Naruto Xiao-Long this is the best day ever." The Girl screamed to the heavens then realized the look Naruto was giving her and composed herself. "I'm terribly sorry in all the excitement I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Robin Maron it's very nice to meet you."
"Yeah same!" Naruto said looking at Robin with a smile causing her to blush even harder.
"S-so what is our next move?" Robin asked looking to Naruto who looked to the north.
"We probably should head North towards where the relics being held and kill any Grim that gets in our way!" Naruto said narrowing his eyes clenching his fist tightly which was noticed by the his new partner.
"Are you ok?" Robin asked placing a hand on Naruto's shoulder causing him to look to her.
"Yeah I'm fine I just have a bad history with Grimm that's all." Naruto said smiling once again and starts to walk off. "Come on we half to keep moving!"
"Right!" Robin said trotting after the Blond. 'I wonder why he hates Grimm that much?'
In the middle of the forest, Ruby lands in a crouch, then darts off with a single mantra in her mind.
'Gotta find Naruto or Yang! Gotta find Naruto or Yang, Gotta find Naruto or Yang, gotta find...' Ruby thought then began to shout. "Naruto! Yang! Yaaaang! Naaarrruutooo!" Internally, she envisions herself paired with various individuals, contemplating the potential allies. "Oh, this is bad, really bad... What if I can't find them? What if someone else does first? Well, there's always Jaune. He's nice. He's funny! ...I don't think he's that great in a fight, though. Ooh! What about Blake?! So mysterious, so calm... Plus, she likes books! Then again, I'm not sure I'd be able to hold a conversation with her... Ugh!" Shaking her head to dispel the daydreams, she refocuses. "Okay... Who else do I know in this school? There's Yang, Naruto, Jaune, Blake, Sasuke, Sakura aaaand..."
Time seems to slow down as Ruby skids to a halt in front of Weiss as she is turning to face her. She stops just in time for their eyes to meet and a pregnant pause follows. Then Weiss turns on her heel and walks the other way.
"Wait! Where are you going?!" Ruby cried out following her slightly, then stops and kicks the ground dejectedly. "We're supposed to be teammates..."
Weiss walks struggling through the forest, giving an occasional grunt or "Ow!" as she pushes plants out of her way. She brushes herself off and sighs in relief when she hears a voice above her.
"Come on, come on! Stupid...!" Jaune said apparently struggling to free himself as Weiss sees Jaune hanging a few feet in the air by the spear embedded in his hood and the tree behind him. As he gives up trying to pull it out, he looks down and sees Weiss, giving an embarrassed wave. Weiss simply heads back in the direction she came from and Jaune groans in dejection.
Ruby sat on the ground looking sad until she looked up as Weiss passed her by and proceeded to start dragging her by her hood. "By no means does this make us friends."
"You came back!" Ruby cried out overjoyed as she's dragged away into the bushes"
"Wait! Come back! Who's going to get me down from here?!" Jaune said as watched everything unfold and waved his arms.
"Jaune?" Jaune looked down to see Pyrrha standing there looking at him somewhat concerned. "Do you... have any spots left on your team?"
"Very funny..." Jaune said crossing his arms he eventually looks down again at her and gives a smile, which she returns.
"Sheesh of all the places I land, it's the farthest away from anyone!" Sakura said as she moves through the forest a bit annoyed at her situation. "I mean I just hope I run into at least someone I know, I'll even take the Hippo as my partner at this point."
Sakura keep walking getting more and more annoyed until she finally yelled in angry.
"WHERE IS EVERYONE!"
Suddenly she felt a presence behind her as she turned to see 2 bear like creatures approach the pinkett with rage in their red eyes.
"Ugh I wasn't talking about you guys, but since your here!" Sakura said cracking her knuckles as her bracelets turned into gauntlets.
The Ursa roared and charged at Sakura with their claws raised high prompting Sakura to also charge at the beasts.
"Shannaro!" Sakura yelled planting her fist directly into one of the Ursa's chests splitting the beast in half. The other Ursa roars and swipes at Sakura who ducks under the massive claw and delivers a deadly uppercut knocking the Ursa's head straight off. "Hmph what a couple of jerks!"
Sakura suddenly stop when she heard another growl as a claw flies towards her faster she can dodge then suddenly heard a sound of a thousand birds chirping.
"Chidori!" A voice yells as a piercing sound could be heard for miles followed by a pained roar as a Ursa Major slumped to the ground dead.
Sakura then turns to see Sasuke standing over the dead Ursa body sword in hand with is left hand coated in lightning looks to her with a concerned look on his face.
"Are you okay, Sakura?" Sasuke said as he puts his sword away and the lightning disappears.
"No I'm fine, just was caught off guard I just didn't see that Ursa Major." Sakura said assuringly to Sasuke then realized something. "Look like we are partners now huh."
"Yeah guess so have you seen the Idiot?" Sasuke asked walking up to the pinkett.
"You mean Naruto, no but I'm worried about him." Sakura said with a sad gaze.
"You shouldn't worry about him, the moron is strong he can take care of himself." Sasuke said with a smirk knowing that his best friend and rival wouldn't go down that easily.
"It's not that, Sasuke you know how he gets around Grimm he becomes obsessed with trying to kill them." Sakura yelled at Sasuke who gained a solemn look as he remembers when Naruto lost his mother 10 years ago.
The memories of that fateful day haunted Sasuke as he listened to Sakura's words. He couldn't forget the pain in Naruto's eyes, the anger that consumed him after losing his mother to a Grim attack. He shook his head lightly as he looked toward Sakura.
"Naruto will be fine, Sakura." Sasuke repeated with a assured look on his face. "You have to have faith in him."
"I do have faith in him, it's just…" Sakura began then suddenly felt two finger poking her forehead as she look up to see Sasuke smiling.
"You care about him, I know." Sasuke said turning to see smoke rising from the east. "We better keep moving if we gonna catch up with him."
"Right let's get moving Sasuke!" Sakura said running off followed by the The Uchiha.
After Yang landed she walked around the forest for hours as she tried to find anyone.
"Helloooooooo?" Yang called out not seeing a shadow quickly pass by. "Is anyone out there? Helloooo?"
Yang then stops and raises her arms. "I'm getting bored here!" She then hears a rustling in the bushes behind her and turns. "Is someone there?" The rustling continues as Yang comes over and peaks inside. "Ruby, is that you?"
A low, inhuman growl is heard, and Yang's head looks up as she stares at the creature.
"Nope!" Yang said before quickly rolls to the side as an Ursa charges out of the green. She gets up and activates her Ember Celica, staring at the monster before another Ursa runs out behind her. She leaps over it, and its companion runs at her again, only to get knocked back by a fiery punch. The other Ursa and Yang charge at each other, and Yang manages to get under it and deliver several punches and a kick to send the creature back.
"You guys wouldn't happen to have seen a girl in a red hood, would you or a blond boy with a pair of batons?" Yang asked as the Ursai merely growl at her in response. "You could just say "no"."
One of the Ursai stands on its legs and swipes at her twice, Yang barely dodging the attacks.
"Geeeez, you two couldn't hit the broad side of a ba..." Yang laughed out but stopped as a single strand of her golden hair falls in front of her face and lands on the forest floor.
"You..." Yang whispered in a cold tone as she closes her violet eyes, then opens them to reveal red, making the Ursai look at each other confusedly before Yang screams. "You monster!"
An inferno surrounds Yang for a moment, and she rockets forward, unleashing a devastating combo of flaming hits and blows on the offending Ursa, making it fly through several burning trees. The other monster runs over, but stops short at Yang's gaze while a tree falls to the ground behind her.
"What! You want some, too?!" Yang yelled out as the Ursa rears up and prepares to strike... right when a whirling noise is heard and the monster makes a befuddled noise, falling down a second later to reveal Blake with her weapon Gambol Shroud in the beast's back.
Yang pants in exhaustion while Blake recalls the weapon back to her hand, sheathing it on her back and smiling to the side. Yang, now purple-eyed again, speaks to her new partner over the smoking remains of the monster.
"I could've taken him." Yang said.
"I'm sure you would." Blake responded simply as she looked to the blond.
"The last pair has been formed, sir." Glynda said looking at a tablet with Ren and Nora together. "Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. Poor boy... I can't possibly imagine those two getting along. Still, he's probably better off than Miss Nikos."
"Mmmm…" Ozpin said not really paying attention to Glynda.
"I don't care what his transcripts say. That Jaune fellow is not ready for this level of combat." Glynda said then looks at a video of Naruto and Robin fighting. "Then there is Ms. Maron to think her father would even think about letting her come to Beacon and to be paired with Mr. Xiao-Long is asking for a international incident."
Glynda then looks over to Ozpin seeing that he was not listening to her.
"Professor Ozpin?" Glynda said to get the man's attention.
Ozpin continues to not answer as he watches his tablet with footage of Ruby and Weiss.
As Robin and Naruto continue to move through the forest the brown haired girl kept staring at her blond partner back.
'The more Grimm we seem to run into the angrier he gets, what is the cause of his hatred.' Robin thought to herself as Naruto suddenly turns and yells "Get Down!" Tackling Robin to the ground as something slashes the tree behind them causing it to fall down.
"So the stories are true you are fast." A voice called out to Naruto.
Naruto and Robin looked up to to see a hooded man wearing a full length black coat with a waist-high slit going up the back. He also has a large silver zipper that fastens at the top and zips down to seal the coat, silver drawstrings for the hood decorated with a large silver bead hanging from the end and a silver chain ornament adorned with four large cylindrical silver beads that fastens to a loop on either side of the collarbone region.
As Naruto and Robin scrambled to their feet, the mysterious hooded man stepped forward, with a sword in his hand that catches Naruto's attention. The blade was shaped like a key and had a combination of silver and black throughout the blade with 4 spearheads on the bottom of the blade varying in color of Black and silver. The guard around the hilt was black with two points sticking out toward the blade end with 3 silver Spearheads on one side and 2 on the other. In the center of the guard was a symbol of a upside down heart that was empty. At the end of the blade was a keychain with with an X on the end.
'I've seen that kind of weapon before.' Naruto thought as he pulled out his weapons. "Who are you?"
"No one you need to know about." The boy said as he dashed forward, making Naruto's eye's widen as he pushes Robin away and proceeds to block the strike of the Man's blade.
The clash of metal rang through the forest as Naruto and the mysterious hooded man engaged in a swift exchange of blows. The hooded man moved with incredible speed and precision, each strike of his blade aimed with deadly intent.
Robin quickly regained her footing and observed the intense duel, her eyes focused on the unfolding battle.
Naruto gritted his teeth, feeling the weight of the hooded man's attacks, then suddenly felt a kick to his stomach as he was sent flying by the Cloaked Figure.
Naruto crashed into the underbrush, rolling to a stop. He winced, feeling the impact reverberate through his body. The hooded figure approached, his movements fluid and confident.
Robin, seeing her partner in distress, quickly intervened. She lunged forward, using her semblance to create fire blasts that circled the hooded man, attempting to disorient him. However, the hooded man effortlessly sliced through the blast of fire, his attention unwavering.
Naruto, determined not to be taken down easily, leaped back into action.
The hooded man, unfazed by the diversion, turned to face Naruto. "You're persistent. I'll give you that," he remarked, the edge of his blade gleaming ominously.
"Yeah I get that alot." Naruto said narrowing his eye's in preparation for the next attack.
The man started to move forward again but was stop suddenly by another man wearing the same coat as him.
"That quite enough, I understand your eagerness to fight him now but it's not the right moment." The new man said looking down at the other man. "Naruto Xiao-Long let be it known to you and Ozpin that She is the only reason you still live."
"What do you mean she, who is she?" Naruto growling to the taller man. "And who are you people?"
"Questions for another time perhaps." The taller man said lifting his hand as a Portal appears. "Come along we have dallied for to long."
The taller man then disappears as he steps into the portal.
"Well looks like our little game is over, see you later Naruto." The other man said as he disappeared.
Naruto sighed putting his staffs away then turned to Robin.
"You ok?" Naruto asked as he helped her up.
"I'm fine but who were those guys?" Robin asked still confused about the whole ordeal.
"I don't know, but that first guys Aura it felt familiar for some reason!" Naruto said looking at where the portal was. "Question for later I guess, we better keep moving come on."
"Right let's go get that relic!" Robin said as the two ran off toward the Ancient temple.
"You got cocky kiddo, Your Lucky the big boss doesn't turn you inside out with that stunt you pulled." A man yelling toward the man who attacked Naruto and Robin as the 3 sat in a room with differing heights of chairs that circled the room. "I mean to have the Superior babysit gotta be a low blow."
"What done is done." The Superior said to the man while looking down at the boy. "I understand your frustration Menma in seeing you other reincarnation but you must be patient your and his time will come."
Menma then pulled off his hood revealing a young man about 19 years old with Black Spikey Hair 3 fox like whisker on each side of his cheek and Red Slitted eyes that danced with Glee.
"Yeah I can't wait."
And done, wow yeah lot of stuff going on. So the stuff I changed well the beginning and the fight with the Vulpine was completely rewritten. I also added Team RWBY getting their partners, cause why not I didn't go in much with it but felt I was a good move. Menma was giving his Keyblade which is good cause when I first wrote this chapter all he had was a sword, mostly due to the fact originally I was just gonna have Organization XIII no Keyblades. And If you had read the original that changed quite quickly. I also decieded to name drop Menma early. I mean tbh I never understood why I just called him XIII until chapter nine when I literally hinted at who he is in this exact chapter. But with that Said Chapter 6 should be coming out soonish, so yeah keep being real folks.
