Mac Gargan knew that heroes also have the right to privacy, but Peter Parker would appreciate it one day.

This had all started when Harry Osborn had called Peter very worried and Otto had picked up the phone because Peter had forgotten it at Aunt May's house. Nothing would have happened if Spiderman hadn't been exhibiting erratic behavior for a month.

The robbers and drug traffickers fought directly with the police because Spiderman did not appear. He also did not respond to the attacks of the Sinister Six. Then they found out that Spider-Man had been seen in Gotham. What was he doing there? Why did he visit it so frequently?

The Bugle had released a scoop saying that it was likely that Spiderman was thinking about retiring... and that had sparked alarm among his villains. What was happening with Peter Parker?

The Sinister Six had gone to question Daredevil, who, confused, had told them that he knew nothing of what Spider-Man might be doing in his private life. They had also interrogated Deadpool, who had shot himself in the temple in front of them and now most of the Sinister Six were having nightmares. Since they were fighting Spiderman they had mellowed out quite a bit.

But Deadpool had told them that they didn't need to worry about Spiderman, that there was already someone in his life who would take care of him.

And Gargan had started following Peter Parker. He didn't particularly care about the boy, but Spiderman was his hero and if he was regularly fighting any other villain, he wanted to find out who that guy was and tell him to find his own hero or move to New York so they could all fight against Spiderman. Because Scorpion wasn't going to change heroes. Who did he want to fool? He liked fighting Spiderman, but he would never admit it out loud.

What he found was much worse than he had expected.

Peter Parker was going to stop being Spiderman because he had gotten hooked on drugs.

Damn the kid and his obsession with drug dealers! Gargan knew something like this would happen, because when you deal with crime, you're likely to end up getting into situations you can't get out of.

After following Parker for an entire week, Gargan had obtained enough evidence to show to the Sinister Six. They would have to make an intervention soon and convince him to stay away from Hood.

Red Hood would become Scorpion's personal problem if it was necessary, but he was going to remove Parker from his influence and he didn't care how many bats he had to deal with. Gargan would drag Parker away if he had to, but the kid was going to quit drugs and Gargan would make sure of it. He would personally take him to the detox centers; he had already looked for some with good references. He would pay for it personally out of his own pocket if it helped Parker get better.

He had seen it all. The meetups at the cafeteria, all the times Parker had gone to one of his safe houses, the times Spiderman had helped him. Hood! A dealer! Since when did Spiderman help criminals? Had all this started with Deadpool? Should they also distance him from his influence? Gargan thought that yes, Deadpool frequently self-harmed and it was not good for the child to see those types of scenes. He had enough traumas!

Spiderman had saved his life several times, he had even saved him from himself. Supporting Spiderman was the least Scorpion owed him.

- Come with me, child. You have nothing to do here.

Mac Gargan had intercepted Peter Parker when he was going to pick up his next delivery to the Hood's house. The boy was in too deep, Gargan wanted to believe there was still hope for him.

- "Gargan? What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here," said Peter Parker.

"You're the one who shouldn't be here," Mac replied. "I've been following you all week and I've already warned the Sinister Six about this whole situation. We are very upset with you, but you are going to be fine. You will come with me and we will get you the help you need."

-Have you been following me? -Peter was clearly furious, but Gargan would not be easily intimidated, although all the villains knew that a silent spider was a dangerous spider. -It's my private life! You had no right to invade my privacy!

- Is something wrong, honey? - Hood left the house, accompanied by Dick Grayson, apparently a corrupt police officer or addicted to drugs. Gargan was going to show up at Bruce Wayne's house and tell him what his son was doing and the company he kept. But first he would deal with the Spiderman problem. Maybe he cared too much about the boy.

-This is none of your business, Hood!-Gargan was not going to be intimidated. If Hood wanted a fight, he would give it to him and put an end to one of his problems. But Peter had put himself in the way. "Get away from this, child! This is between Hood and me!"

"If you mess with Hood, you mess with me, Gargan," Peter said, also preparing to fight. Something he couldn't do without revealing his identity as Spider-Man. Or perhaps Parker was planning to fight him as if it were a street fight?

"I'm going to take Parker now, Hood," said Gargan. He didn't know how he could take Parker if he didn't cooperate, but Hood wouldn't have to know that.

"I'm not going to go with you, Gargan," Peter said, standing next to Hood. "I want to stay here, with him."

"You heard it, old man," Hood said, putting his hand on Parker's shoulders. Gargan growled at him in warning. "Parker stay with me, go back the way you came or I will send my men after you."

"Parker is not going to stay here," Mac replied. "Peter, you don't know what you want. You think you know, but you don't and you are making a series of mistakes that can end your life, but don't worry, I'm here to help you. I promise you, I'm going to get you out of this kind of rut you've gotten yourself into and we'll go back to fighting like we did before."

-What are you talking about, Mac?-Peter was confused.-Of course I know what I want! I love him! I'm in love with Red Hood!

This was not expected. Apparently his involvement with drugs had led Parker to believe that he was in love with his drug dealer. My God! It was much worse than Gargan had imagined! He needed help getting this boy out of here.

- Peter, let's call Harry, shall we? I'm going to get you help," Gargan said.

-He doesn't want your help, old man.-said Hood.-You heard him. Peter loves me and I love him. Get used to seeing us together and get over the drama.

Red Hood motioned for Dick Grayson to get into the house. Once the three of them were inside, they closed the door in his face. Him! To Scorpion! Red Hood was a bad influence on his spider. Gargan would take care of getting him away from Hood. Peter Parker would have a normal and healthy life again. It was time to call the Sinister Six and rescue their spider from him.
