"I think the Gingerbreads are done," Shachi said pulling out the freshly baked gingerbread from the oven, he placed the tray on the cooling rack and smiled seeing his lover's eagerness to start cutting and decorating the Gingerbreads.

"You used to this with your family?" she questioned having never done gingerbread house building before much less taste it. She was a bit eager to try her hands a new thing, once leaving Wano her world opened and there were bunch of new things to in the new world.

The Heart Pirates graciously took her in and began showing her the ropes of the outside of Wano. She took a bite of the gingerbread not too crazy about the strong cinnamon taste. Shachi himself had been kind showing her new things outside of the Polar Tang or exploring new endeavors with her, he seemed the most eager.

"Yeah, we used to do it every holiday season together," Shachi admitted he wasn't one to talk about his past. None of the Heart Pirates were but the few times but the few times they did it almost felt like they were accepting her more and more to part of the crew.

She knew they were all from the north and Law and Bepo met Shachi and Penguin in swallow island. She also knew Penguin and Shachi were cousins who lost their parents at a young age. She watched Shachi take prices cuts into the gingerbread getting the base ready for house.

"What else did you do?" Mako questioned.

"You know hang out with Penguins family to open gifts and enjoy some dinner," Shachi said. He was remembering his childhood they were pleasant memories that had been ripped away when he was young and forced to live with his uncle, "Penguin and I used to exchange gifts when we loved with my uncle," he said as all the parts were ready.

With some help Mako's help the house slowly started to come together, Shachi shared his memories of building the house with his mother. Or how he and his dad used to give one another haircuts. Mako listened to the old stories eagerly as they decorated the houses.

Her part of the house was nicely designed, basing it off designs she had seen on her travels. Shachi himself had a rougher look to it but brought all of his artistic talent to it.

"Hey, do you think building gingerbread houses with me could be a new tradition?" Mako asked shly.

"I thought we had already started," Shachi answered smiling.
