Anonymous gifts start arriving at the doorstep must use teenager camouflage birch harmony rifle screen door wrinkle dive pick-up sticker.

Not so Secret Admirer

As Ace opens her screen door to another package sitting there. "Tegan, I have to put the phone down. There is another package."

"Let me guess there is no sticker with a return address on it."

"You would be right." She sighs knowing what Tegan is about to say.

"Ace, I told you I suspect all these packages are being delivered to your home and business from the same person."

"I told you he doesn't think of me that way."

"Do you see how that man looks at you?"

"No, Graham looks at me like he looks at everyone else."

"Believe me he doesn't."

"I see it at every meeting and every time you work with UNIT. Next to Ryan and Yaz he makes sure you get tea before everyone else."

"Tegan."

"No, you need to see how that man looks at you."

"Goodbye Tegan." Ace hangs up the phone and gets the package inside laughing after she opens it finding a new badge for the jacket that she received as a teenager from a stranger that she later found out was the Professor. "Who could be getting me all of these, batches, a water gun that looks like a rifle and some camouflage pajamas. They even knew my size." Ace ponders out loud. She finds her jacket hung up and decides where to put it.

When she arrives at work there is a bouquet of flowers sitting at her desk. This time there is a note, a typed note.

'The sender of gifts will be revealed soon

Love your Secret Admirer.'

"What the hell. Could Tegan be right, could all of this be from Graham?" She then gets to work, a few hours later there is a knock on the door. "Come in."

The door opens and she stands up to see her friend. "How is the woman with a heart of gold," asks Graham, making Ace wrinkle her nose. She keeps an eye on him as she does this. Starting to see what Tegan has been saying for the past year. "I see you have flowers."

"I do and for the past few months I have been receiving these gifts. The flowers have a note on them." She looks into his eyes, Graham tries to find anything else to look at; she reaches out and puts her hand underneath his chin making him look in her eyes. "Do you have any idea who these gifts can be from? Not many people know the places I work and my home addresses."

"I." A phone goes off. Graham looks at it. "Got to go, I just wanted to see you." After he leaves she slumps at her desk knowing something is changing.

She picks up the card flipping it around, she finds a date and coordinates. "Should I go?"

….

That night Tegan is over at her house, they are drinking some wine, "so he tried not looking in your eyes when you asked him that."

"Yes, and I made him look me in the eyes."

"And?"

"What, you want to hear that you were right that he likes me and that he has been probably trying to woo me these past few months."

"And is he succeeding?"

"Tegan, he didn't need to do any of this, I already liked him."

"But."

"There is no but, Tegan, yes, I have had feelings for Graham for over a year."

"Over?"

"Yes, over a year. Since before Yaz came back to earth." Tegan laughs. "What is so funny?"

"Nothing just that you always made the move when you liked someone."

"It's different when you are friends and you share many of the same friends and sometimes work together."

"You know what is different?"

"I just told you."

"No, there is something more."

"Then what is it?"

"This one could actually work out. You two have just enough similarities and differences."

"Whatever Tegan, do you want some more wine?"

"No, I should be heading home."

…..

"Where is that turn," Ace is on her way to meet up with her not so secret admirer. She sees a car in front of her, a car she knows. This car has a bumper sticker, 'former bus driver.' "Graham, if you didn't want me to know until I saw you, you should've taken a different car or a bus." She smiles as he looks in the rearview mirror. "I got you now," she mouths to him. Focusing back on the road; he takes a turn and she follows. Coming to a field, trees everywhere. Some are birch trees. Ace is taken aback by the beauty of everything.

"How long have you known," says a voice near her.

"The day you sent me flowers and came to see me."

"So?" He doesn't meet her eyes again, running his feet along the grass.

"So what?"

"How do you feel, is it ok that I like you?"

"Graham," she takes his hand, "it is more than ok. I have liked you for a longtime now. Tegan made me realize what I was truly afraid of."

"You afraid?" He looks into her eyes.

"Yes Graham, I am human, I do feel fear."

"What were you afraid of?"

"Of us working out."

"Why would you be afraid of that?"

"I haven't been in a healthy relationship before."

"You and Tegan have a wonderful friendship."

"That is not what I meant."

"What," he doesn't get to finish his sentence as her lips gently brush his. The sun starts to set as she backs up, Graham brings her to him again this time he lays his lips on her lips kissing her. After the kiss ends they rest their foreheads together as the winds blow through the trees creating harmony. "Does this make us more?"

"It does, now shut up, you're ruining the moment." As the sun turns to the moon their new life together begins as the birch trees wish them good luck. Ace dives in for another kiss, shutting him up.
