As Bell and Caster finished last of the monsters from their Surroundings Bell was Confused and worried about why the monsters were at the surface?
This led to him asking no one in particular this question. "Ho...How did the Monsters appear here?"
Caster was still looking at the Corpses of monsters as if he was examining them and brought his attention to Bell.
"Well while this is confusing Master what you Should be asking right now is not How and who but Why."
Bell looked absolutely confused as he heard what Caster said. "what do you mean Caster?"
Caster took a Cigar out and lit it up as he took a puff of smoke. "Master in a place where all sorts of things are possible and Magic is dependent on the user themselves it is a waste of time to look for How but what we need to understand is Why as it will help us decrease the amount of Suspects."
Out of habit bell was already taking the magic stones out of the Monsters when he heard what Caster had said, finally understanding what Caster meant he smiled and nodded signaling he somewhat understood.
There was a feeling as if someone was watching bell as he took out the magic Stones but he dismissed it.
Gathering all the stones, Bell put them in a bag and followed Caster to Leo's House. Still a persistent Feeling like a tingling through his body present.
As they reached the Cottage, Caster slowly knocked at the door and said. "Mr.Leo, I was sent here by Mr.Neil to Check on you."
There was no response so Caster put his hand on the handle and to his surprise the door wasn't locked. This made his face scowl in confusion as he wasn't optimistic on what had happened.
As both Caster and Bell entered the room what they saw horrified them to no extent.
Mr. Leo's lifeless body lay sprawled on the floor, a grotesque tableau of violence. His once-blond hair now clung to his forehead, matted with blood. The air was thick with the metallic scent of it. The old man's eyes, frozen in an expression of shock and pain, stared blankly into nothingness.
His clothing, torn and stained, hinted at a struggle. Deep gashes and lacerations adorned his body, telling a grim tale of a merciless attack. The limbs twisted in unnatural angles, and the pooling blood created a morbid canvas around him.
The brutality of the scene suggested a frenzied assault, leaving Mr. Leo's features contorted in a final, silent scream. The grim aftermath hinted at a struggle for survival that, tragically, ended in defeat.
The room was dimly lit, casting an eerie atmosphere on the gruesome scene before them. Bell's eyes widened, and a chill ran down his spine as he beheld the lifeless body of the old man with blond hair. The air hung heavy with the stench of death.
Caster's expression darkened, the glow of his cigar accentuating the severity of the situation. "Master, it seems we've stumbled upon a tragedy. This is Mr. Leo, and judging by the state of his body, it seems like a work of an animal rather than a human."
As the chilling scene unfolded before them, Bell's instincts screamed at him, sending a surge of adrenaline through his veins. Without a moment's hesitation, he kicked Caster aside just as a formidable force clashed with his silver sword. The impact was fierce, the clash resonating through the air.
A blur of speed and power emerged – a woman with snow-white hair and piercing blue eyes, an eerie contrast to the bloodstains that marred her appearance. Her movements defied the capabilities of a mere level one, leaving Bell astonished.
The clash escalated, and Bell found himself overwhelmed by the woman's strength. With a force that defied logic, he was sent hurtling through the cottage wall, crashing outside with a speed akin to a bullet.
Regaining his bearings outside, Bell laid eyes on the woman – her snow-white hair, piercing blue eyes, and an attractiveness marred by the gruesome sight of blood. It wasn't her appearance but the sheer brutality of the encounter that triggered a memory in Bell's mind.
In that moment, a recollection surfaced – a story from his grandfather about a woman named Elizabeth Bathory. The woman before him didn't resemble the historical figure, but the brutality of the attack echoed the dark tales of Bathory's infamous deeds.
Bell, fueled by both instinct and the weight of the unfolding mystery, readied himself for the next phase of the confrontation with the enigmatic and blood-soaked adversary.
The battlefield echoed with the clash of weapons and magical energies as Bell and Caster found themselves in a relentless struggle against the mysterious woman. Her movements were a blur, her speed and strength surpassing their expectations. Bell, with his silver sword, clashed fiercely with her steel-like staff, each clash sending shockwaves through the air. Meanwhile, Caster unleashed magical beams with precision, attempting to catch the elusive opponent off guard.
Bell gritted his teeth, his instincts guiding his every move. The woman's attacks were a whirlwind of precision and power, forcing Bell to draw upon every ounce of skill he possessed. He parried her strikes with agility but struggled to land a decisive blow.
Caster, a master of magical arts, fired beams of energy in an intricate dance. The magical projectiles illuminated the chaotic scene, but the woman effortlessly dodged and weaved through the magical onslaught. It became apparent that brute force alone wouldn't be enough to overcome their foe.
As the battle raged on, Bell observed with a keen eye. Despite her overwhelming physical strength, there was a certain predictability in the woman's fighting style. He began to discern patterns in her movements, finding openings to exploit. With newfound determination, Bell aimed to use not just strength but strategic finesse.
In a calculated move, Bell feigned a strike to the left, only to pivot and land a swift blow to the woman's side. She staggered, momentarily caught off guard. Seizing the opportunity, Caster directed a barrage of magical beams, forcing her to evade in a desperate dance.
The pace of the battle quickened, a symphony of clashes, dodges, and magical explosions. Bell's silver sword and the woman's staff met in a series of intense exchanges. Caster, relentless in his magical assault, adapted his strategy to keep the opponent on the defensive.
Bell noticed a flicker of frustration in the woman's eyes. Despite her superior physical attributes, Bell's honed combat skills and Caster's magical prowess were proving to be formidable opponents. The struggle was intense, each party pushing the other to the limit.
As the fight reached a fever pitch, Bell and Caster coordinated their efforts. Bell engaged the woman in close combat, forcing her to defend against the silver blade, while Caster unleashed a barrage of magical beams, creating a relentless assault from both sides.
The woman, though formidable, began to show signs of weariness. Bell's earlier observation of her fighting style paid off, as he anticipated her moves with increasing accuracy. With a coordinated effort, they managed to push her back, gaining a momentary advantage.
During the Fight as They were about to gain an advantage the women suddenly increased her pace and kicked Bell to the side which caused him to fly through the air and hit the wall of the cemetery as he felt as if he had broken something.
As the women focused on Caster who was trying to remain far away Bell quietly made the use of his Spell to record one of Caster Spells.
This was one of the things he and Caster had noticed while he gained some information on the spell Such as its Imminent Effect and how one would cast it he wouldn't really gain any more information about it.
Bell, nursing his injuries against the cemetery wall, gritted his teeth in determination. Observing the ongoing battle, he seized the opportune moment when the mysterious woman was fully engaged with Caster. Summoning his strength, he launched himself back into the fray, approaching unnoticed.
As the woman focused on dodging Caster's magical onslaught, Bell executed a swift and calculated ambush. His silver sword sliced through the air with precision, targeting the vulnerable points in her defense. Caught off guard, the woman staggered, momentarily vulnerable to Bell's relentless assault.
In that critical instant, Bell tapped into the knowledge he had gained from secretly recording one of Caster's spells. Channeling the magical energy with newfound proficiency, he unleashed the captured spell at the perfect moment. The arcane energy surged, manifesting as a brilliant burst of power that struck the woman's shoulder with devastating force.
The impact created a massive wound, eliciting a pained cry from the enigmatic adversary. Blood stained the snow-white hair, and the intensity of the battle waned as the woman faltered under the unexpected assault.
Seizing the advantage, Bell pressed on, his every movement fueled by a combination of combat instinct and the borrowed magical prowess. The woman, now on the defensive, struggled to recover from the surprise attack.
Caster, recognizing the opportunity, intensified his magical onslaught. The combined assault of Bell's relentless swordplay and Caster's magical barrage overwhelmed the woman, pushing her to the brink.
The relentless exchange of blows reached a climactic point as Caster, empowered by the borrowed spell, prepared to deliver the final, decisive blow. However, just as his magical attack was about to connect, the mysterious woman halted abruptly.
In an instant, a blinding shower of golden light enveloped her, leaving Bell and Caster momentarily disoriented. When the brilliance subsided, all that remained was the aftermath of destruction—a ruined cottage, traces of blood, and the wearied figures of Bell and Caster.
The absence of their enigmatic adversary hung in the air, and the once-fierce battlefield now echoed with an eerie silence. Bell and Caster, both breathing heavily, exchanged glances that conveyed a mixture of exhaustion and bewilderment.
"What just happened?" Bell muttered, his voice strained from the intense confrontation.
Caster, still holding his cigar, scanned the surroundings with a furrowed brow. "She... vanished. A disappearance in a shower of golden light. Her Master probably uses a Command Seal to Call her back."
The realization of the woman's sudden disappearance left an unsettling feeling lingering in the air. The toll of the battle became evident as Bell and Caster struggled to catch their breath, the gravity of the encounter sinking in.
The destroyed cottage stood as a testament to the fierce struggle that had taken place, while the traces of blood on Bell and Caster's forms painted a vivid picture of the intensity of the confrontation.
As the echoes of the battle settled, Bell's gaze lingered on the remnants of Mr. Leo's cottage, a grim reminder of the tragedy that had unfolded. With a heavy sigh, he turned to Caster, the questions in their minds mirroring the uncertainty that shrouded the mysterious woman's sudden disappearance.
