Author's note: I crack up at some of the replies. Thanks, as always. Things may get a little fast-paced in the next few chapters. I don't really know how things will go until I'm mid chapter. I guess we will all be surprised.

Drip. Drip. Drip.
Kate opened her eyes as she felt something drip onto her face. She wiped her face and went to turn her light on. She looked at her hands and quickly tried to wipe them clean. She heard the crackle of flames and looked at the ceiling. She fell back and screamed.
Dean rushed into her room, followed by John. "Katie!"
Kate scrambled toward Dean and held onto him.
"Kate, you're dreaming. Hey, what is wrong?" Dean soothed.
Kate looked around and realized that the hallway was dark and her room wasn't on fire.
John turned the light on and pulled a chair out for Dean to sit in when they got to the library.
Dean sat down with Kate in his lap. "You're okay."
Kate hiccupped as she tried to calm down. "There was fire and blood."
John brought her some water. "Was it a vision?"
Dean rubbed her back. "It is okay. You are safe."
"I had another vision about how my mom died." Kate said.
Dean squeezed her. "You are under a lot of stress."
Kate sniffled but sat up straighter.
"Would it make you feel better if I let you bunk in my room? We can move your mattress in." Dean said.
Kate just nodded.
John left to move the bed into Dean's room. He wondered why Kate was having so many visions again.
Dean picked Kate up and carried her to her bed. "I can sit up with you if you need."
Kate fell sideways onto her pillow. "I'm okay."
Dean sat on the floor and rubbed circles on her back until she fell asleep. He gave John a thumbs up and went back to bed.

Monday morning, John was the first one to wake up. He made coffee and sat down with a file. He had found nothing on his father. There were other things more pressing than chasing his ghost.
Bobby got up soon after John did.
John told him about Kate's vision.
"She is attached to him." Bobby said with a smirk.
"Like a baby duck that imprinted on somebody." John said.
John checked the time. He poured Dean a cup of coffee and took it to his room. Sure enough, Dean was awake already.
"Thanks." Dean whispered.
"Do you need anything else?" John asked.
Dean cracked his neck. "Advil." At some point in the night, Kate had stirred in her sleep and whimpered. Dean pulled her mattress next to his bed and fell asleep with his hand hanging off the bed, patting her back.
John smirked. "I'll be back."
Dean moved to the floor to sit beside Kate. He hated that she had to see so many awful things.
Taylor grabbed a bowl of cereal and took it back to his room. He was taking the last bite when he heard a knock on his door. "Come in." He was unsettled when it was John who opened the door.
"Is there anything else you want to look through?" John asked.
Taylor shook his head. "No, sir. I am packed and ready to go."
"Has your friend said anything useful about the situation at school?" John asked.
Taylor bit the inside of his cheek. "No one will know anything yet."
"We will make some calls today." John said.
Taylor nodded. "Okay."
Bobby worked on the last of the boxes and put things in John's truck. They'd need to make the drive straight through because stopping was dangerous with so many weapons in the vehicles.
Dean quietly packed his duffle. He crouched down and woke Kate. "Hey, kiddo. You can sleep in the car."
Kate stretched. "Thanks." She got up and put her blanket around her shoulders. She packed her bag and placed it outside her door.
Taylor grabbed Kate's bag on the way to the garage. He put both duffels in the trunk of the impala and looked around the room. He needed to get out of his funk and decided to act like his normal self. He found John in the kitchen. "Do you think Sam needs a car?"
John turned to look at him. "I don't know. We can ask him. If we used one of the ones in the garage, we'd need to register it."
Taylor shrugged and helped put kitchen stuff away.
Kate laid back down on her bed and curled up on her pillow. She knew she needed to help but she was so tired.
Dean opened his door to get his phone charger and saw that she was asleep. He felt of her head and left the door open. "Hey, Kate fell back to sleep."
"Let her sleep. She has had a few long nights." Bobby said.
The guys finished the pack out and did another check of the rooms.
Dean picked Kate up and carried her to the car. She woke up a little but he told her to go back to sleep. He placed a pillow under her head and covered her with a blanket.
John put the tarp back over the bed of his truck and secured it. "Plan on driving until someone needs a break. We have a lot of cargo that we cannot let anyone get their hands on."
Dean nodded. "Yes, sir."
Taylor left his phone in his duffel and picked a book to read. He balanced a notebook on one leg and the book on the other leg. If he focused on research, he could stay calm.
Dean gradually increased the volume of the music so he didn't disturb Kate. He was getting a little worried about how tired she was. Could Nephilians catch viruses? She had gotten sick from the burn but that was before she gained the healing ability. "Do you feel tired too?"
Taylor put his finger on the line of text he was reading. He looked away from the book. "Kind of. My allergies are bugging me."
Dean thought about Kate's tumble off the chair. "I wonder if something in the bunker affected you two."
Taylor shrugged. "It is warded. It is possible." He went back to reading but thought about the possibility.
Kate stirred after a few hours. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "When did we get in the car?"
"Three hours ago." Dean said.
Kate tried to swallow but her mouth was dry. "Can I have something to drink?"
Dean flashed his lights to let John know they were stopping. He got out of the car and took a water bottle from the cooler. "Here, you need to eat something too."
John and Bobby got out as well. "How is she?"
"She was thirsty." Dean said. "Hey, Taylor. Now is a good time to use the restroom and stretch your legs."
Taylor got out and walked into the rest stop bathroom. He was having a hard time keeping his mind off of his brother.
John tilted his head to tell Dean to do the same. "I'll check her out."
Kate yawned again.
John got her out of the car and sat her on the trunk. "Are you just tired? Does anything hurt?"
Kate rubbed her eyes. "I'm sleepy and ache."
"What hurts?" John asked.
Kate looked down at her hands. "My joints I think."
John felt of her joints and made sure she wasn't running a fever. "We will get you something to eat and some medicine. Do you think you can go to the restroom?"
Kate hopped off the car and almost hit the ground.
"Easy there." John said. "I'll walk her over there if you don't mind making some sandwiches."
Bobby nodded. "I can do that."
John walked slowly beside Kate. "Moving around may help."
Kate didn't agree. "I just want to go back to sleep."
"I know. Sometimes that makes it worse." John opened the door to the ladies' room and made sure no one was in there.
"Please don't come in here." Kate said.
"I'm making sure you are okay. I'll go out once I know you aren't going to wind up on the floor." John said.
Kate proved that she could walk unassisted. She used the restroom and splashed her face with cold water from the sink. She opened her eyes and saw blood for a fraction of a second.
John showed up behind her. "Let's get you back outside."
Kate stopped in the sun. It was warm and helped the aches.
John waved to Bobby. He sat Kate down on a bench. "You can eat over here."
Dean moved stuff around in the backseat. He felt Kate's bag buzz and pulled her phone from the pocket. He answered it. "Hey, Ellie."
"Uh."
"Nate?" Dean asked.
"Yeah. Um. Tell Taylor I said hi." He said before he hung up.
Dean furrowed his brows. He saw a notification for missed calls. Nate had tried to call eight times that morning. He saw Taylor walking from the building and got a heavy feeling in his stomach. He met him before he reached the car. "Do you know why Ellie would have called Kate several times in a row?"
Taylor froze. "Uh, no."
"See, when I answered the last call, it was Nate on the line." Dean said.
"Oh. Yeah, my phone is off. I told him to call Kate if he wanted to talk to me." Taylor said.
"Taylo,r cut the crap. He called eight times." Dean said.
Taylor bit back his anger. "He has been keeping me updated. He is nosey and updates me with every little thing. He probably thinks he found something good."
"Okay, so call him back." Dean said as he held Kate's phone out to him.
"I'm okay. I'll see him at school tomorrow." Taylor said.
Dean narrowed his eyes. "I don't know what is going on but I do know you are hiding it."
Taylor looked down at his shoes. "Not now."
Dean saw a church bus pulling into the rest stop. "The only reason I'm not making you call him back right now is because there are too many people."
Taylor nodded.
"Get in the car. I'll get you something to eat." Dean said.
Taylor got in the car and rested his forehead against the dashboard.
Dean returned with a sandwich, chips and a drink.
"Thanks." Taylor felt awful. He was angry and did want to handle David but hiding things was going to bite him in the ass.
Kate felt a little better after she ate. She also wondered why her body wasn't healing.
Dean walked over and crouched in front of Kate. "How are you feeling?"
"A little better." She said with a smile.
Dean ruffled her hair. "I'm glad. The car is way too quiet."
Kate finished her chips. "You and Taylor can't talk guns and cars?"
Dean grimaced and looked at John.
Kate sighed. "Oh." She stood up and stretched. "I'll go to the restroom again. Wait, I can walk." She said and stepped away from John.
John rolled his hand to tell her to go ahead. "What is going on with Taylor?"
Dean rubbed his face. "His friend called Kate's phone eight times. I told him to call Nate back and he wouldn't. Of course, that bus over there showed up so I didn't push him too much. I have a bad feeling about this."
John and Bobby felt the same. "He isn't one to lose control." Bobby said.
"When we get back on the road, I think Bobby and I will make some calls to see where his brother is... and how he is." John said.
"I'm interested to see why he has his phone off." Bobby said.
Dean scoffed. "We can wait until we get to your house for that."
Bobby raised a brow. "Why is that?"
"If he is going to get angry and make a crater, I'd rather it not be in my car." Dean said.
John smacked the back of his head.
Kate returned to the bench and unconsciously took John's hand.
Dean looked down at their hands. "Hey, have you traded sides?"
Kate blushed.
John shrugged. "I'm fine with that."
Dean opened the car door for her. "If you feel sleepy, rest."
Kate grabbed her sketch pad. "Okay."
John got into the truck with Bobby.
"I remember, years ago, your boys would get into stuff. Dean would run off with a girl or drink. Sam would sulk and mouth off. I don't remember any of this though." Bobby said.
John chuckled. "Same stuff just different outcomes. If Dean could have blown a hole in a wall with anger, he would have done it in a heartbeat."
"Well, it was easier back then." Bobby said.
John contemplated how they were going to go about handling things. "We need to make copies of that key."
"I'll get on that once we get back. One of us should be with Kate and Taylor at most times but it may be a good idea to teach them how to drive. God forbid something happens and they need to escape alone."
"Oh, Taylor is going to love that." John said. "He was antsy to get his hands on one of those cars at the bunker."
"It may give him something else to focus on." Bobby said. "I'll make those calls."
Kate doodled in her notebook. She brainstormed believable information to feed people who may be hunting them.
Dean drummed his fingers to the beat of the music as he kept pace with John. He glanced over at the book Taylor was reading. Kate was in the back mouthing the words to the song while she drew. He smiled at that. It was nice seeing her awake. He reached his hand back and squeezed her knee. "How are you feeling?"
"Better." Kate said with a smile. "How much longer do we have?"
"Few hours." Dean said as he withdrew his hand. After a few songs, he looked back at Taylor. "That page must be really interesting."
Taylor shrugged and turned the page.
"What's on your mind?" Dean asked.
Taylor looked at him. "Nothing."
"Hmm, right. That is why you are staring at the same page and sulking." Dean said.
Kate felt a crackle of power building and pushed into Taylor's head. 'What is wrong?'
'Stay out of it.' Taylor pushed back.
Dean nudged Taylor. "So?"
"So I am stressed. I'm angry that my brother is a dick." Taylor said.
"Is he still messaging you? Has he said anything significant?" Dean asked.
Taylor sighed and closed the book. "I really don't want to think about it. I turned my phone off so I didn't have to worry."
Kate could still feel the power like static before lighting strikes. 'Taylor, calm down.'
Taylor whipped his head around and glared at Kate. 'Stay out of my head.'
Dean tapped the breaks. "If you two are going to talk, do it out loud."
Kate slumped back into her seat. "I'll stay out of your head."
Taylor simply turned back around and opened the book again.
The power died down so Kate went back to her drawing.
Bobby couldn't find much on David. At least no news was better than bad news. He couldn't see Taylor hurting his brother but the kid was pissed.
John was quiet as he thought about how they were going to handle things. Taylor was a great kid but very angry. He could hurt someone even if he didn't intend to. He thought about Dean at that age and the night he snapped. The teen years were difficult for everyone.
Taylor could see the hole he was digging himself into and needed to dig himself out. "David said some stuff to my grandmother."
Dean turned the music off. "What?"
"She called him to see if he was okay and figure out why he was treating me the way he is. He just said some rude stuff to her. He keeps messaging me too. Yeah, it angers me but I'm ignoring it. Telling him to shut up isn't going to do much besides fuel the hate he has for me." Taylor said.
"That would anger me too. Your grandmother is amazing. What kind of stuff is he saying to you?" Dean asked, ecstatic that Taylor was talking.
David had told him that his mom had tried to 'get rid of' him when he was born but he had woken up hours later. Taylor didn't know if it was true but David said the whole family knew something was wrong with him. "You know, just stupid stuff about mom's death being my fault."
"You know it wasn't your fault. Does he have nothing better to do?" Dean said.
"Who knows." Taylor mumbled. David also said that Craig had told him that Taylor was evil right before everything went down. David said he was going to tell people Taylor was a freak. That was the part that had Taylor worried.
"Where is David?" Dean asked.
Taylor tensed. "I don't know."
"Is he the one that was blowing up your phone when you went to the store?" Dean asked.
Taylor looked out the window.
"Look, you can't lie to us. I know that brothers are different but we have to know what is going on." Dean said.
"Yeah, he sent a few messages." Taylor said.
"Why lie?" Dean asked.
"I want to handle it."
"Handle it how?"
"You know, talk to him." Taylor said.
"And if that talk works as well as talking to Luis did?" Dean asked.
Taylor's eyes flashed blue.
"Cool it. We are in a moving vehicle. We will table this. Feel free to talk if you want to but do not nuke the car." Dean said.
Taylor picked up the lore book and went back to reading. "I'm not going to nuke the car, you know."
"Well, that is good." Dean said.
"Just because I am angry doesn't mean I'm going to hurt people."
"I know, Taylor. When you shell up and do not speak to anyone, it worries us." Dean said.
Taylor apologized and went back to the book.
Kate had fallen back to sleep during the last leg of the drive and woke up as they pulled into Bobby's drive. "She tucked her drawing pad into her backpack and yawned.
"Are you going to be able to go to school tomorrow?" Dean asked.
Kate frowned. "Can I see how I feel in the morning?"
Dean nodded. He went into the house and moved the couch toward the tv so that they could stack boxes behind it.
Kate heard meows and gleefully scooped kittens into her arms. "Hi, I missed you."
Dean smiled. "I think they missed you too."
Taylor opened the trunk and got the bags out. He carried them inside and up to their rooms. He found his phone in his own bag and put it in his hip pocket.
John helped Bobby with unloaded the truck bed. "Taylor."
Taylor slowly turned toward John. "Yes sir?"
"Do you mind helping with these boxes?" John asked.
Taylor shrugged. "I don't mind."
Kate stayed inside and pushed boxes over behind the couch as they were placed inside the door. She didn't know how things were going to fit in the house.
Taylor needed to turn his phone on but he hadn't put it on silent. When he turned it on, it was going to get a lot of messages at once, and even if it vibrated, it would still be heard. If he did turn it on and it buzzed, he could use it as a show of trusting them. He'd tell them David was being an idiot and maybe they'd insist on calling him or filing a restraining order. He put the battery in his phone and turned it on. He put it in his pocket and went back to moving boxes.
Dean pulled a box from the back of the truck. He heard Taylor's phone as he handed the box over.
Taylor grabbed the box and quickly took it inside. He tried to turn the vibration off but couldn't access his settings due to the incoming messages. He groaned and put it back in his pocket.
Kate sat down on the floor and let the kittens climb in her lap. "What did you do while I was gone? I found a secret hideout. You can go there next time I do."
Dean snorted. "I don't think cats in the bat cave would be wise."
Kate gave him a fake glare. "Look at these cute little baby faces."
Dean winked at her. "I didn't see any mice while we were there."
Kate shrugged. "They are good company."
John shut the back of the truck and started clearing the impala. He felt like Taylor was avoiding him. "Come help me with this box."
Taylor groaned. "I've got it."
John heard the buzzing too. "Is that a phone call?"
Taylor shrugged. "I don't know."
"Answer it." John said. "I'll take this inside."
Taylor looked at his phone. It wasn't a phone call. It was a dozen messages coming in at once. The messages got more erratic as they progressed. David had moved from insults to making detailed threats. He could tell people anything he wanted to but he had no proof. All he had was a one-sided conversation of him attacking his younger brother.
John returned. "So?"
"Oh, it is nothing." Taylor said. He put the phone back in his pocket and took the last box inside. "I think I may run. I've been in the car too long."
"I'll go with you." Dean said.
Taylor fought the urge to kick the door. "It is okay. I just want to clear my head."
Dean eyed him. "Alright."
Taylor felt the freedom of not having eyes on him for the first time in days. He sprinted down the trail before stopping to pull out his phone. He dialed David's number and paced. David answered with a string of slurs and insults. Taylor waited for him to take a breath. "You know that isn't true. I was nowhere near there when that happened." He felt his anger pulsing as he argued with David. He was so sick of being treated like dirt. "Are you insane?" He held the phone away from his ear as David yelled. "Where are you right now?" He turned to walk off the path when he heard someone speak.
"Stop."
He turned to look at Kate. "I will call you back. This isn't over." He said into the phone. "Why are you out here?"
Kate chewed her nails. "I was really worried and could see the anger around you."
"Well yeah, I'm angry." Taylor said.
Kate stepped toward him. "Please come back to the house. You can't go after him."
"After who?" Taylor said, trying to act as if he hadn't been about to make a beeline for his brother.
"I heard you. You were about to leave and go fight your brother, weren't you?" Kate said.
Taylor felt electricity in his fingertips. "I told you to stay out of it."
"Taylor, if you fight him, you will kill him." Kate said.
Taylor laughed. "You really don't think I have any control?"
"Not like this. I heard some of what he said."
Taylor felt his blood chill. "You what?"
"Uh, well. I heard some of it. He was saying awful things to you." Kate said, taking a step back. She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them again. "You are scaring me."
"I'm not going to kill him. I just want to talk. I can't promise I won't punch him." Taylor said.
John heard the high pitched ringing in his ear and took off through the trees.
"This is not you. You have to calm down first. What if he pulls a weapon? It may not hurt you but he will see you heal or you will have to use a lot more force to protect yourself. We can't make ourselves a target." Kate said.
Taylor couldn't explain everything without giving too much information away.
Kate could see the blue light in Taylor's eyes. "Taylor, take a breath."
Taylor's phone buzzed again and he looked at it.
John slowed down and approached them slowly.
Kate saw the wave of energy before it reached her. She leaned into it with her shoulder and pushed back.
Taylor couldn't reign in the power surge although he knew Kate was out there somewhere. All he wanted to do was punch David in the face.
Kate pushed against the wall of energy until it faded and they both fell to the ground.
John rushed to Kate. "Are you okay?"
Kate panted but nodded.
John looked at Taylor. "Are you okay?"
Taylor nodded too.
John held Taylor's arm and pulled him up. "Get back to the house, now."
Taylor saw the look on John's face and started to panic.
"Taylor, wait." John said. "Look around you."
Taylor saw broken trees. It looked like a tornado had come through.
"Both of you, run." John said.
Kate sprinted back to the house. She didn't stop until she was sliding down the hallway on the rug that Bobby kept at the doorway.
Bobby barely stopped her before she hit the wall. "Whoa."
Kate brushed the hair from her eyes and looked down the hallway.
Taylor came inside followed by John.
"What was that?" John demanded.
"One of his pulses, but I fought against it." Kate said.
John nodded. "I saw that much. What was on your phone that made you that mad? Bobby, there is a patch of trees that are just.. gone."
Taylor started to breathe rapidly. "I wasn't trying to hurt anyone. I just needed to blow off steam."
"There are better ways to do that." Dean said. "We could see the blue light from the house."
Taylor cringed. "How?"
"It shot out of the trees and into the sky." Dean explained.
Kate sat on the floor. "Probably because the energy from him and energy from me collided."
John looked both of them over to make sure they were okay.
"I feel great." Kate said. She bounced from foot to foot. "I feel like I have had like nine pots of coffee."
John looked back to Taylor. "What was on your phone?"
Taylor froze.
"Kate was trying to talk you out of something." John said.
Taylor turned to Kate. 'How'd he know where we were, Kate?'
Kate flinched and gave him a sad look. 'I couldn't let you go.'
John cleared his throat. "Speak."
"Just my brother being a dumbass." Taylor said.
Kate pleaded with her eyes. She didn't want to get stuck in the middle.
Dean stood beside John. "If he was just being a dumbass, you wouldn't have splintered a bunch of trees."
Taylor clenched his jaw.
"You need to calm down." John said.
"I'll go to my room." Taylor said.
Dean cleared his throat. "Leave your phone down here."
Taylor slowly looked at him.
Dean held out his hand. "Phone."
Taylor felt the device crack in his hand.
Dean took the broken phone. "When did this happen?'
"Must have been during the blast." Taylor said.
Kate pushed into his head. 'Please tell the truth. You are scaring me.'
By the look Taylor gave Kate, Dean assumed that she knew something. "Do you have something to add?"
Kate pushed into John's ear for a split second.
John discretely tapped Dean's elbow to let him know to drop it. "Go cool off. Take a shower if you need to. We don't know who all saw that energy burst so stay inside."
Bobby put his hand on Kate's shoulder.
"Do you know Morse code?" Kate asked as she looked at John.
John furrowed his brows. "Yes."
Kate looked at him for a few moments.
John chuckled. "You are welcome."
Dean looked between them. "Oh is that how you knew where they were?"
John nodded. "I knew she needed help. I didn't know where she was until I got into the woods."
Kate looked toward the stairs and felt her knees get weak.
"Sit at the table." Bobby said.
Dean got her something to drink. "What is going on?"
Kate frowned. "David is saying terrible things and threatening Taylor. He was going to meet him."
"Where?" Dean asked.
Kate wasn't sure. "I didn't hear everything."
"You did a good job. He was in danger." Dean said.
Kate let a tear fall. "I'm scared. Please don't be mad at him. You'd be angry if someone was saying that kind of stuff to you."
"Yes, we would. It doesn't mean we can go after them with a loaded gun." John said.
Kate sniffled. "When Nate called he was frantic."
Dean groaned. "That can't be good."
"Call them. I will speak to Nate." John said.
Kate bit her lip. "I think having you talk to him would make him not talk at all."
John nodded his head. "Go ahead and call. See if you can get anything out of him. I am going to check on Taylor."
Dean shot Bobby a look.
Taylor looked up when his door opened. He was sitting on his bed trying to create a ball of energy in his hands.
"Are you calm enough to talk?" John asked.
Taylor shrugged.
"Were you going to go meet your brother?" John asked.
Taylor bit the inside of his cheek. "I thought about it."
"What do you want to do when you see him?"
Taylor looked up at John.
"Honestly. What do you want to do? Not what are you going to do." John clarified.
Taylor sighed. "Crush him."
"That is pretty violent." John said.
"I know the feeling. Hell, I feel that a lot. The things I want to do to that yellow eyed demon..." John trailed off.
"You'll get to do them." Taylor said.
"Maybe. Why do you want to hurt David?" John asked.
"It is a lot of small things."
"Try again." John said.
Taylor's eyes flashed blue.
John gave him a hard look. "Control yourself or I will."
Taylor swallowed. "He was spreading rumors and that is how Luis got some of his ammo. I confronted him about it and he has just been getting worse. He made wild claims about me killing my mom and stuff."
"What is the real reason?" John asked.
Taylor looked away from John. "I'm going to lose control if I talk about it right now."
John stood up. "I will give you time to cool off. I have one question."
Taylor licked his lips. "Yes, sir?"
"Has anything happened to David?"
"Like what?" Taylor asked.
John stood Taylor up and stood close to him. "It is a yes or no question."
Taylor knew what he was asking. He also knew he really didn't want to answer that question. "I don't know."
"I'll take that as a yes. Is he alive?"
Taylor gasped. "Yes, sir. I am mad but I wouldn't kill him."
John put his hand up. "Is he hurt?"
Taylor's eyes drifted to the edge of the room. "I really don't know."
John studied Taylor. "Did you intend to cause him physical harm?"
Taylor shook his head. "No, sir."
"Okay. Do not set foot on those stairs until you are certain you can control this." John said.
Taylor nodded quickly.
John turned to leave the room but stopped. He remembered Dean's blow up and what Taylor had been through. "Focus on cooling down. Do not worry about one of us being too angry to keep you around or whatever you've got rolling around in your head."
Taylor nodded slowly. "Yes, sir."
John shut the door behind him and went downstairs. "Kate, how are you feeling?"
Kate had both kittens in her arms. "I feel great. It was like I got a boost."
"You kept that shock wave from spreading." John said. "I didn't even know you had left the house."
Kate looked up at him with sad eyes. "Am I in trouble?"
John crouched down and tapped his fingers on the ground so one of the kittens would walk over to him. "No. You called for help as soon as you needed it."
Dean watched them from the office door. "You are not allowed to do that again."
Kate looked over to him with worried eyes.
"I had just gotten used to you being sleepy and it was really peaceful."
Kate cracked a grin to match Dean's. "He's being mean to me." She said and looked at John.
John looked over to Dean. "Dean.."
Dean rolled his eyes dramatically. "Fine, I'll be nice to her." He sat down on the arm of the couch and nudged Kate with his foot. "I am glad that you are okay. I was worried with how much you were sleeping."
Kate smirked at him. "I know how you can make it up to me."
Dean could tell he wasn't going to like what she had in mind.
Kate ran and got an old polaroid camera she had found in one of Bobby's boxes. She tilted her head at John. "Put the kittens on him, please."
John chuckled and handed both kittens to Dean.
"Now hold them." Kate said.
Dean rolled his eyes. "Why?"
Kate picked Millie up and put her on Dean's shoulder. "Smile." She clicked the button to take the photo and excitedly removed the photo from the bottom of the camera. She swished the paper through the air until the photo appeared.
"You look like you've been held hostage." John said.
Kate turned the photo toward Dean. The strained smile Dean had given her made her giggle.
"Yeah, I don't like cats." Dean said.
Kate smirked. "Then why are you still holding them."
Dean rolled his eyes and put both kittens on the floor. "What was that for?"
Kate shrugged. "My room."
Dean ruffled her hair. "The things I do for you."
Kate picked Liam up and headed for the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Dean asked.
"To put the picture in my room and give Liam to Taylor." Kate said.
"You should give him some space." John said.
Kate shrugged. "I think Liam would help him calm down."
John nodded. "In and out."
Kate walked up the stairs and knocked on the bedroom door. "Taylor?"
Taylor told her to come in. He gave her a smile. "Thanks."
Kate clipped the new photo above her headboard and looked at Taylor. "What do I need to undo?"
