Caleb got a message from his friend. "Ben said he found the demon in question and exorcised it. He is still looking around but it looks like he fixed Sam's problem."

Dean relaxed. "I'll call Sam."

Sam was a little disoriented and his arm was asleep. He groaned as he removed it from under Jess. "Hello?"

"Hey, you should be all clear now." Dean said.

Sam rubbed his face. "Yeah, I know."

"You know?" Dean asked.

Sam yawned. "Sorry, I must be out of it. It was weird. Caleb's buddy showed up. We got surrounded and a light showed up and all the demons left."

Dean looked at Caleb. "Sam, what do you mean demons?"

"There were a half dozen or so standing outside Jess's place." Sam said.

Caleb furrowed his brows and shook his head.

"Ben just let Caleb know the one demon he found, he exorcised and he is doing a final check of the place." Dean said.

Sam leaned against the window. "Dean, I was here. He was trapped in here with me until the light exorcised everyone."

Dean walked to Kate's room and opened the door. She was curled up with Millie in her arms.

Caleb called Ben. "Hey, did there turn out to be more than one demon?"

"No, just the one. I have walked around baiting them and none have shown up." Ben said.

"So you didn't get surrounded?" Caleb asked.

"Are you drunk?" Ben asked.

Dean spoke to Sam. "Caleb is talking to Ben right now. He didn't go to Jess's place."

Sam took a deep breath. "I'm losing my mind."

"Or that was another vision." Dean said.

"Ben, would you mind stopping by and speaking to Sam?"

"I thought he wasn't supposed to know about this." Ben said.

Caleb sighed. "There is just a bunch of weird stuff going on."

Sam knew Ben was on his way and waited at the door to the hallway. The man was for sure who he had spoken to earlier. "You have your duffle."

Ben looked at Sam. "I'm not hunting demons without it."

Sam was completely confused. Was he really talking to Dean or was it just another vision? He walked to the window of the kitchenette and peered outside. "They were just standing out there."

Dean was worried about Sam. "They aren't there. There was only one demon so you can go back to whatever you were doing with Jess."

Ben looked out the window too. "Wait, what is that?" There was movement in a dark corner of the courtyard.

Sam pressed his face closer to the window. Several people walked from the shadows and formed a perimeter. "There they are."

"Where the hell did they come from?" Ben asked.

Sam shrugged. "Hell. Did you bring salt?"

Ben handed him a large container. "Did I bring salt? Are you stupid?"

Sam blushed. "It has been a long night."

They put salt on the windows and entrances to the room.

"Why is a pack of demons after some college kid?" Ben asked.

Caleb gave Dean a look. "I'd say he's an easy way to get to John."

The sound of glass shattering caused Sam and Ben to rush into the hallway. The lights flickered and black smoke rushed through the corridor.

"Shit." Ben said.

Sam was hit by the smoke and heard a crack as he hit the ground. The smoke entered another room. A woman walked out of the room with black eyes. "Well if it isn't Sam Winchester in the flesh."

Sam scooted back. "What do you want?"

Ben started the exorcism but was thrown down the hallway.

The demon grabbed Sam by the shirt collar and poised her hand at his chest.

Sam gritted his teeth. At least Jess was safe since the room was salted.

The demon dug her nails into Sam's chest but stopped abruptly as a blinding light flashed across the courtyard. Her eyes flitted toward the stairs and she looked scared. "You."

A young woman approached them. "Let him go."

The demon growled and pressed her nails deeper into Sam's skin.

The woman held out her hand and Sam and Ben both guarded their eyes against the bright light.

A very confused co-ed let go of Sam's shirt and stumbled back. "Where am I?"

The strange woman put her hands on her. "You were sleepwalking, dear. Let's get you back to your room."

Sam and Ben were stunned. Sam could feel blood dripping down his chest and was certain his arm was broken.

Ben checked Sam over. "Who is that?"

"I don't know." Sam said.

The woman walked back to the two hunters and touched them both, instantly healing them.

Ben stammered. "What are you?" He saw a blue glow around the woman. "Are you an angel?"

The woman looked at Sam and winked. "Something like that."

They blinked and she was gone.

Sam swept the salt up and put it back into the box. "That was weird, right?"

Ben was still shocked. "Was that an angel?"

Sam furrowed his brows. "I don't know."

Ben quickly packed his stuff. "I'm out of here."

Sam thanked him for the help and walked him out. He dialed Dean's number again. "Hey, something really weird happened."

"What?" Dean asked.

"The demons from my vision showed up. Things were different though. One got inside. Then, this woman shows up and blasts the demons away, saving the meat suit. She healed Ben and me and then just... vanished." Sam said.

"It is good to have someone on your side." Dean said.

"Yeah, but... I know her. She looked familiar." Sam said.

"Is everything good now?" Dean asked.

Sam assured him that he was fine and the place was demon free. He let Dean go and crawled back into the bed beside Jess. His mind was spinning and exhaustion pulled him into a fitful sleep.

Dean checked on Kate again. She and Millie were still fast asleep. He went to his own room and fell into his bed. Between Sam's chaos and their makeshift slip and slide, he was dead on his feet. At least he could sleep soundly for a little while.

### ###

Days ticked by. Sam didn't have any more demon issues and Castiel was off making sure the crew stayed hidden.

John listened to the police scanner and kept an ear out for information about the house that Dean burned down. After the pure chaos of the previous days, the days following were painfully boring. He'd take boring over watching the kids struggle to stay alive.

Sam couldn't get the woman out of his head. She saved him but something about her stuck in his memory and wouldn't leave. Brady had said the guy who asked for him was tall with dark hair and blue eyes. That didn't really help him. Was he just having visions or what was going on? He struggled to focus on classes and lost sleep.

Jess could tell that Sam was falling apart at the seams. "Sam, maybe you should talk to someone."

Sam sighed. "I'm okay. Just some crazy dreams making me lose sleep."

Jess kissed him. "They are just dreams. Maybe a rest day would be good for you."

Sam couldn't tell her that any moment his brain wasn't busy, it turned to the visions of her being chased by demons.

Bobby had planned to stop by the bunker but the doors were still sealed. The school was breathing down his neck and he hadn't been able to find David. Things were tense.

Dean put Bobby on speakerphone. "Should we unenroll them from that school? There has to be a homeschool course or something that would work."

Kate got excited only to be squashed by the look John gave her.

"It looks like we will need more documentation to explain all of this." John said.

Kate sighed. "If we all die in here, graphing won't matter."

Dean smacked her. "Don't talk like that. I'm not dying in here."

"Nobody is dying in there." Bobby said. "Castiel hasn't been back?"

"Nope." Dean said.

"Ah, well if it comes down to it I'll get you out."

Dean perked up and looked at Caleb. "We do have a grenade launcher."

Taylor grinned.

"Do we know if the doors are sealed by angel magic or some kind of mechanism?" Bobby said.

"We haven't been able to figure that out. Everything is working at normal power." John said.

"Well, that's good. How are you doing on supplies?" Bobby asked.

Taylor took over. "We are running low on a few things but not to the rationing point yet. We could use kitten food and litter. Also fresh fruit and stuff."

"It would be convenient if this place had a mail slot." Kate said.

"We will continue trying to get ahold of Castiel. Have you heard anything fishy on the surface?" Dean said.

"Not really. It is quiet on my end." Bobby said. He needed to talk about David but didn't need Taylor to hear.

Things were quiet everywhere... too quiet. It made people nervous and antsy.

Kate had spoken to Jo since she was a great resource for hunters' gossip. There had been chatter about weird phenomenon but not enough to create a pattern.

Jo was becoming increasingly frustrated. Ellen was on her back and wanted her to stop eavesdropping. One night, she overheard a group of hunters talking about angels. In general, angels were thought to be extinct or just stories. She alerted Ellen who didn't seem concerned.

Ellen wanted Jo to ease up because she had a tendency to have one shred of evidence and run with it, even if it didn't really qualify as evidence. She was worried about the kids too but knew how to wait. "Jo, if you try anything, you are going to connect things that they may not be able to connect otherwise. If you seem too interested, they are going to want to know why."

"We can catch the guy who is after them and then he won't be a problem." Jo countered.

"And then what, Jo? Just because he is after them, doesn't mean he is a bad person. He may not have all the facts. He doesn't have all the facts. We know that some people with abilities are good, but that isn't the first thing you think when you hear of someone." Ellen said.

"We could get him to tell us what he knows." Jo said.

"How do you intend to do that?"

"Well, we'd figure it out." Jo said.

"No, we won't. He only knows a title. He doesn't know enough to be a problem right now." Ellen said with a sigh of exasperation.

"Mom-"

"No, Joanna Beth, drop it. We will keep a watchful eye but you need to drop it." Ellen warned.

Jo stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. She ran up the steps to their apartment and locked herself in her room for a little while.

Ash was at the bar. "Fighting again?"

Ellen rolled her eyes. "When don't we?"

Taylor got an ache behind his left eye and pressed the heel of his hand against it. It had been happening all day and he didn't know why.

"Could it be sinus related?" Kate asked.

Taylor shrugged. "I don't think we can get sick like that. Wouldn't our bodies just heal? I guess it could be ability related, like a vision headache."

"Are you getting visions?" Kate asked.

"No." Taylor said. "Just the pressure."

Kate tossed him a notebook. "Keep a log of when you get it and what you were doing."

Taylor wrote down the few details he had and sat the book down. "I wonder if we will stay human-like."

"I hope so." Kate said and scrunched her nose. "We are mutating but I don't think we will go that way. Although, wings would be cool."

"Not if they stuck out all the time. That would be uncomfortable trying to sleep." Taylor replied.

Dean plopped down between them. "No one is getting wings."

"You don't know that." Kate said.

"I don't know that. You are right." Dean said. He ruffled her hair. "You still look like a little kid."

Kate rolled her eyes. "Don't you have something productive to do?"

Dean scoffed. "No, I've done everything."

"When we get bored you make up stupid stuff for us to do." Taylor said.

Dean chuckled. "I used to but you've done all the stupid stuff so therefore I have no stupid stuff to do."

Kate's phone buzzed. She looked at the name and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Dean asked.

"Away from you losers." Kate said with a scrunch of her nose.

Dean turned to Taylor. "Do you want to target practice?"

"Bow?"

"That works." Dean said. It wasn't the first time that week that they had been to the range but they were running out of things to do.

Kate read the message and called the number. "Hey, Jo. What's wrong?"

"I have a possible lead and my mother is not helping." Jo said.

Kate listened to Jo's explanation and felt a pang of anxiety. "That isn't a lot to go off of. I can run it by Bobby and John."

"They are going to say the same thing my mom said." Jo said.

Kate assumed that Jo called her instead of Taylor because she didn't really want a voice of reason. "Let me do some research. Don't do anything yet."

Sam hadn't had a vision for a few days and finally got to the point that he felt 'normal'.

"Okay, you don't have to dress up. I just want you to go to the party." Jess said.

"Jess, Halloween just isn't my thing." Sam tried.

"Well it is mine, and I'm fond of you." Jess said.

Sam gave in. The last time he had acknowledged Halloween was when he and Dean had taken Kate and Hannah trick-or-treating. The months slipped by so quickly and it was easy to get lost in the normalcy until he looked back and realized just how much had changed. He hadn't seen anyone since Kate pulled him from Stanford. He spoke to them often but they had been locked away for a little while and although they encouraged him to do things, he felt guilty.

Castiel dropped off supplies with little word. He didn't have answers and was working diligently to ensure that the wrong angels didn't find the kids. Naomi was furious and reckless. The search had been called off but Castiel was still cautious in case they were expecting the kids to pop up as soon as the heat was off of them.

Kate just wanted to go outside. "If we don't use abilities, we won't light up."

Castiel was sitting in one of the chairs in the library. "They do know who you are."

"They can't track us because of the warding." Kate said.

Dean nudged her foot under the table.

Kate ignored him. "It is Halloween. Everyone will be out in costumes. Witches and those kinds of people will be doing witchy stuff. It is the perfect night. If we give off some kind of signal, it will get lost."

Castiel thought through the outcomes. He vanished for a moment and then returned.

John tilted his head. "Kate, Taylor, go to the gym or garage."

Kate groaned. "Why?"

John narrowed his eyes.

Taylor grabbed Kate's arm and pulled her from the library.

"She does have a point." Castiel said.

Dean was more than ready to get out of the bunker. "If they were to leave, could we have them use additional warding?"

"Would you be available should something happen?" John asked.

"Yes." Castiel said. "I will return."

Caleb packed his stuff. "Are you sure you are okay with me getting out of here?"

"Yes, go. I'm tired of seeing your dumb ass." Dean said.

"I really appreciate all that you guys have done."

"Can you get Taylor and Kate?" John asked.

Caleb entered the hallway and waved his hands wildly. He followed them to the gym before speaking. "You two are lucky I was the one sent to fetch you."

Kate hugged him. "We will miss you."

"I guess I'll miss you too. Thanks for patching me up."

Taylor shook his hand. "Next time you come back, try the front door."

Caleb smiled. "I'll try to show up in one piece too."

Dean leaned back in his chair as they walked back into the library. He knew the kids hadn't gone to the gym but that was okay. "So, we have a verdict."

"We can leave the bunker."

Kate gasped.

Dean raised an eyebrow. "That seems fake."

Kate closed her mouth. "Regardless of what Cas said, I'm surprised you'd consider it."

"There are ground rules." John said.

Kate sat down. "I'm listening."

"I am going to take Caleb into town. We will discuss them when I get back." John said.

Kate groaned. "Costumes!"

Dean poked her. "When he gets back."

John fired up his truck and pulled out of the garage. The sun was bright and it took a minute for his eyes to adjust.

Caleb took a deep breath. "Man, that air is nice."

John rolled his window down to soak in the clean air as well. "Keep yourself safe out there."

Caleb scoffed. "I'm always safe."

John smirked and looked out the window as he drove. He dropped Caleb at the bus station and drove back to the bunker. Part of him wanted to hit the road but they'd never forgive him for that.

Kate was nearly bouncing off the walls with excitement. "We can go outside!"

Dean's headaches from watching her flit around. "Don't get ahead of yourself."

"Even if I just lay down outside the bunker, I'll be happy." Kate said.

Taylor was happy too. Dean's mantra of 'just be a kid' was easier when they got to do kid things.

"We HAVE to dress up." Kate said.

Dean pulled a face. "I don't."

Kate gave him puppy dog eyes.

"No. I draw the line right there." Dean said.

### ###

Jess didn't push Sam to dress up and toned down her own costume to make him feel comfortable.

Sam's mouth went dry when Jess walked out of the bathroom. She had on a black dress and black cat ears. "Wow."

Jess frowned. "Too much?"

Sam pulled her toward him. "No, not at all. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on."

Jess blushed. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close. "You could wear the ears."

Sam smiled. "I don't think I could pull them off. They look great on you though."

Jess let go of him and grabbed his hand. "There will be a party tonight but there are a few places that I'm going to take you before that."

Sam was so awestruck by Jess that he didn't question her.

"So, no one trick-or-treats anymore. Instead of candy, you get jello shots." Jess said.

"So, adult trick-or-treating?"

Jess smiled. "For lonely college kids who miss mommy and daddy."

Sam laughed. "I don't think jello shots make people feel at home." Cheap beer or whiskey, maybe.

"Don't be judgemental. You are here for the experience." Jess said. She stopped at a booth that was centered in the courtyard. "Two please." She took the cups from the booth and handed one to Sam. "Technically, this is a fall festival. All the spooky stuff happens at night."

Sam smelled of the cup. "What is this."

"Soup. I think." Jess said. "Some of these vendors make food like this so that starving college students don't show up to get drunk."

Sam sipped the soup from the cup. "I guess that is a good idea."

"Officially, the school is against the parties but this is a loophole."

Sam followed Jess around as she collected trinkets and things from the booths. They entered an area that looks a bit like a carnival.

Jess stopped at one of the games. "How good are you at knocking down cans?"

Sam shrugged. "Decent I guess."

Jess pointed to a stuffed rabbit. "Good, because I would really like one of those."

Sam chuckled. "A bunny?"

"Yes, Sam, a bunny." Jess said.

Sam threw away his empty cup. "I make no promises."

Jess leaned against the counter of the booth "No pressure."

Sam paid the vendor for the game and grabbed one of the balls. He pulled his arm back and sent the ball through the bottom of the stack.

The vendor seemed annoyed. "Two more." He stacked the cans again.

Sam knocked them down again.

The vendor rolled his eyes.

Sam grinned. "We will take that bunny."

The vendor handed him the stuffed rabbit and shooed them away.

Jess jumped up and hugged Sam. "Thank you!"

Sam blushed deeply. "I don't think he liked me very much."

"Those games are rigged." Jess said.

Sam pulled her close to him. "You knew that and set me up?"

Jess put her hand around his arm. "I figured you were strong enough to knock them down, even if they were rigged."

Sam kissed her forehead. "Now what?"

"Oh! Cider." Jess said and yanked him toward another booth.

Sam was happy to be along for the ride. Growing up in the hunter world meant they didn't do fall festivals or win prizes from carnival games. Seeing jess get in touch with a younger version of herself made him fall for her even harder.

"This is not the fun kind of cider." Jess said.

Sam wasn't sure if he wanted the fun kind. With how excited Jess was, he thought that it may be a good idea for him to stay away from the alcohol. He was still underaged and desperate to keep his scholarship.

### ###

John figured out a game plan that would allow everyone to venture outside but remain safe. He wasn't a fan of the holiday but Kate and Taylor were.

"We have to dress up." Kate repeated herself.

"Dean can take you to get costumes." John said.

Dean threw up his hands.

"I have a few things to work on with Castiel. You can take them to get what they need." John said.

Dean scoffed. "Talk about taking the easy way out."

John just looked at him.

Kate jumped up and down and pulled on Dean's hand. "Come on!"

Dean stumbled behind her. "Let me get my wallet."

Taylor slid into the front passenger side of the car and leaned his head back. He took a deep breath and smiled.

Dean turned the car on and smiled too. He pulled the car out of the tunnel and had the same reaction to sunlight that John did. "I thought it would be later in the day."

Kate gave him a list of places she had written down. "One of these should still have costumes."

"You could get a brand new one." Dean said.

Kate shrugged. "They are expensive."

Dean sighed. "Consider it a treat then."

Taylor was nervous although he was happy to be out of the bunker. It felt like everytime someone left the bunker, they returned worse off than before.

"What do you want to be?" Kate asked.

Taylor had no clue. "I don't know."

"I went as Dean last time." Kate said.

Dean rolled his eyes. "Manipulative is what that was."

Kate smiled. "You thought it was adorable. Don't lie."

Dean gave her a wink in the rear view mirror. "I don't care what you get. Just make sure it covers what it needs to and you aren't recognizable."

They checked a few stores before finding something that would work.

"I don't have to dress up in a total costume. I can just wear a batman shirt and mask. Then, I can wear the shirt besides just tonight." Taylor said.

"Practical. I like it." Dean said.

"You could wear the mask when we become superheroes." Kate said.

Dean gave her a look. "Zip it."

Kate liked a few costumes but felt silly. Her face would be fully visible. "I could be Harley Quinn." She pointed to a costume above her head.

Dean's face turned red. "Not with that outfit!"

Kate giggled. "No, I can wear tights, shorts and the shirt."

Dean cringed. "Why do girl costumes look like that?"

"I have heard your preferences on women's Halloween costumes."

Dean looked at Kate. "Women. You are a child and when you grow up I'm sending you to be a nun."

Kate found a t shirt with the right markings. "Here, does this work?"

Dean dramatically wiped his brow. "Yes."

Taylor thought the ordeal was amusing. Dean had a reputation for being a lady's man but he could see Dean actually making Kate be a nun.

John had finished with the preparations and heard the kids return.

Kate ran off to get her costume ready and Taylor changed his shirt.

John thought that Dean looked shellshocked.

"The costumes for girls nowadays are disgusting." Dean said.

John snorted and went back to drawing sigils.

"Taylor!" Kate yelled.

Taylor found Kate. "What?"

"I need help with this." Kate said.

Taylor helped her spray dye both sides of her hair. "You may have red and black hair or a while."

Kate shrugged. "Not like anyone will see it."

Dean checked the time and whistled. He made a face when he saw Kate. "What did you do?"

Kate shook her head so her pigtails moved. "Dye."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Taylor's is easier."

"Okay, everyone needs to have one of these." John said and pointed to the anti-posession sigils. "There are a few other things that can go in a pocket. You will stay together at all times. Be alert and listen. If something happens and you cannot communicate normally, you may have to use codewords. Look out for that."

"You are coming.. right?" Kate asked.

Dean shot John a look.

Taylor chose to mediate. "You could come to have another set of eyes. Dean will be keeping tabs on us. Someone should be looking elsewhere."

Dean smirked. "Yeah, what he said."

John sighed. "Fine."

Kate gave Millie a kiss on the head. "Sorry you can't come."

Millie just stretched and yawned.

"I'm going to tell Sam." Dean said.

John smacked the back of his head.

"I'm starting to see the grandfather analogy." Dean teased.

John smacked him again. "Shut up and make sure they both have some type of weapon on them."

Dean dodged a third smack. He did give Sam a call to check in. "Hey, Sammy, boy. What are you doing?" He could hear people in the background. "Are you... are you at a party?"

"I can barely hear you." Sam said. "I'm with Jess."

Dean grinned. "Look at you."

"Are you still at the house?" Sam asked, careful not to say bunker.

"We got a free pass for the night." Dean said.

"That is awesome. What are you doing?"

"Well... I am... the kids are going trick or treating." Dean said.

Sam laughed. "I'm at a college party and you are taking kids trick or treating."

"Bitch." Dean hissed.

Sam grinned. "Jess says hi."

Dean mimicked Sam in an exaggerated voice. "Enjoy your dumb party."

Sam laughed again. "Enjoy parental duties."

Dean snorted and hung up. He was proud of Sam.

John felt uneasy by how many people were out. It did help hide them but it also made it easier for someone to sneak up on them. He stayed back and let Dean take over.

"Do you want to check out the haunted house?" Kate asked.

Dean gave her a weird look.

Kate frowned. "I'm sorry."

Dean smiled. "It's okay. I don't think I want to do that though."

Kate was so wrapped up in the excitement that she forgot about the real haunted house that almost took his life. "That area looks like it is meant for our age range."

They walked over to a parking lot that had games. Most of the people there were in middle school.

Taylor found an archery game and decided to give it a shot. He hit the target each time and one of the boys in line started talking to him. "Hey, you're really good at that."

"Thanks." Taylor said. He let the boy have a turn. He would need to miss more often if he played any more games.

The boy put the bow down. "Do you go to school here?"

Taylor looked at Kate. "No. Just passing through." The boy was fun to talk to and it felt nice to be around someone his age.

Kate won a few games too but stayed by Dean. "He made a friend."

Dean wasn't sure how to feel. "Just a friend?"

Kate walked over. "Hey, who is this?"

Taylor introduced the boy as Luke. "Luke, this is Sara, my sister."

Kate shook his hand. He wasn't a demon or shifter.

"Do you guys want to walk around with me? I know all the best houses." Luke said.

Kate shrugged. "If my brother says it is okay." She ran back to Dean and reported that Luke was just a kid. "He wants us to walk with him since he knows the good houses."

Dean rubbed his face. "Okay." If they looked like they belonged, they'd blend in. He looked around and made eye contact with John.

As the night wore on, Taylor and Luke found things in common.

Kate ran back from one of the houses and slipped Dean something like she was performing a drug deal.

Dean pumped his arm. "Full size candy bars."

John stayed far enough away from them that he didn't look like he was with them. He was mindful not to look like a creepy stalker either. He had never taken the boys to anything like that but Dean seemed to be enjoying himself a little. It probably had a lot to do with the amount of candy that Kate was passing to him.

Kate heard Dean whistle and turned around. She had accidentally walked too far ahead. She went to run back and ran into a man. "Excuse me."

The man ignored her and continued on.

"Don't make me leash you." Dean said.

Kate giggled.

John scanned the crowd for anyone suspicious and met eyes with someone that was looking at him. Maybe he looked suspicious. He nodded his head slightly to acknowledge the person and went back to scanning.

Taylor was walking and grabbed Kate's arm. "Do you feel that?"

"Tingling?" Kate asked.

"Yeah." Taylor said.

The man that Kate ran into got closer to them and stepped around Dean.

Dean went to step around him and saw a flicker of black in his eyes. Before he could react, a flash of blue light hit the man and left him disoriented.

"Sorry, didn't mean to bump into you."

Dean wasn't sure what he had seen. He flicked his eyes to the side and saw a young woman looking at him.

John approached him and put a hand on him. "What happened?"

"Did you see that?" Dean asked. He tried to find the woman again.

John stopped the kids. "What?"

"I thought that guy was a demon but maybe he wasn't. I thought I saw light but it happened so fast. No one else reacted. Then, this lady was looking at me but now she's gone." Dean said.

John rubbed his neck. "I thought I saw someone too."

Although they were confused, they felt, oddly calm.

Kate tugged on John's arm. "Luke says the next street over is the best."

John nodded. "We can go."

They walked down the street and turned. The houses were all decorated and busy. "This place is awesome." Kate said.

Taylor's bag was threatening to burst. "I don't think this will hold any more."

"We should wrap it up. It is pretty late." Dean said. He put an arm around both of their shoulders. "I will be eating a large portion of your candy."

Taylor smiled. "Thanks for bringing us." The tingling got stronger and caused him to stop.

Kate stopped too.

Dean looked up and the woman was back. She was standing across the street, watching them. She gave them a small smile and wave before vanishing.

Taylor stared at Kate.

Kate's eyes were wide.

"What was that?" Dean asked.

Kate swallowed hard. "Me."
