Author's note. I am a little giddy. 500,000 words was a random goal I set for myself. I will be exceeding that with this chapter. I still have a ton of chapters in me. Things will start to tie together here soon. Thank you fro sticking with me for so long!

Kate lifted her head and tried to look at her arm. "What time is it?"

Dean rubbed his face. "You mean what day?"

Kate tried to sit up but Dean pushed her back down. "Day?"

"You were out for a while. It is Monday morning." Dean said. "You did the spell on Saturday night."

Kate groaned. She tried to sit up again.

"Stay still." Dean said.

John came into the room. He checked Kate over. "How are you feeling?"

"I feel fine. Just a little weak." Kate said.

Taylor slid into the room. "Kate!" He leaned over and hugged her.

Kate felt a little stronger as each minute passed. She tried to sit up again.

Dean put his hand on her arm. "Stay."

"I feel fine though." Kate said and tried to roll her feet off the bed.

John leaned over her. "It wasn't a suggestion."

Kate noticed the look on their faces and laid still.

Sam was laying in bed with Jess's head on his chest. He heard a soft knock on his door and told the person to come in.

Taylor covered his eyes and opened the door.

Sam chuckled. "Taylor, it is okay." He massaged the back of Jess's head.

"Kate is awake." Taylor said.

Sam rubbed Jess's back. "Babe, I'll be right back. Go back to sleep."

Jess mumbled something and rolled over.

Sam slipped a shirt over his head. "When did she wake up?"

"Just now." Taylor said.

Kate was happy to see Sam. He was less angry at her.

Bobby brought some water and breakfast to Kate.

Dean helped her sit up. "Slow."

Kate drank the water quickly. Her stomach rolled at the sudden introduction of liquid.

Bobby handed Dean a cup of coffee. He had refused to sleep in his room although Bobby and John both watched over Kate. Just seeing how worried she had Dean made him want to throttle her himself.

Kate took a small bite of food and swallowed it. "Did it work?"

Sam grimaced.

Kate looked up and met eyes with Dean. He was mad.

"We don't know yet." Sam said.

Kate looked around the room. "Where is it?"

Taylor started to grab the bowl but Dean told him not to.

"We will figure it out in a little while." Dean said.

Kate turned. "Can I see it?"

"No." Dean said.

Kate put the plate beside her. "I just want to see it."

"I said no, Kate." Dean said.

She realized everyone was tense and Dean looked especially frazzled.

"You are not going to touch it. You are not going to look at it. Taylor will assist if needed." Dean said.

Kate started to protest.

John leaned against another bed and crossed his arms. "You can't be trusted not to harm yourself."

Kate looked toward the bowls. She bit her lip and shifted uncomfortably.

"Taylor, what else is needed?" John asked.

Taylor looked at Kate. "We make a tea out of it."

Kate nodded. "With holy water."

"Go do that." John said.

Taylor picked up the small bowl and carried it to the kitchen. He wanted to talk to Kate but wasn't about to go against any of the adults.

Kate chewed the side of her thumb.

"How are you feeling?" Bobby asked.

"Better than when I first woke up." Kate said.

John felt her pulse and checked her blood pressure. "Looks like your ability finally kicked in."

Kate was starting to piece together what may have happened. "Oh."

Castiel appeared at Taylor's side.

"Thanks for coming." Taylor said. "You'll know if it worked?"

Castiel nodded. "Yes."

Sam joined them in the kitchen. "What are the side-effects of this?"

Taylor shrugged. "We don't know."

"I can mend you if they damage you." Castiel said.

Sam poured some of the tea into a mug. "How much?"

"There is enough for you and Andy." Taylor said.

Sam smelled of the tea and pulled a face. He took a sip. "This is awful."

"I'd add sugar into it but the recipe didn't call for it." Taylor said.

Sam sat down at the table and chugged the rest of the tea. He shivered and gagged a little. His body started to get tingly.

"How do you feel?" Taylor asked.

John and Dean ran to the kitchen.

"Tingly." Sam said. He scratched at his arms. The veins on his face and neck were bright red and visible.

Dean touched his arm. "Sammy?"

Sam pulled his shirt off as he felt like he was overheating.

Taylor ran a cloth under cold water and handed it to Sam.

Dean gave Castiel a desperate look.

Sam got paced around and shook his arms. He felt sick to his stomach and stumbled into the bathroom. He threw up several times before rocking back and leaning against the stall door.

Dean opened the door. "Sammy."

Sam groaned and gave him a subtle wave.

Dean felt of his head. The veins were no longer red.

Sam threw up two more times and asked for water. He sipped it slowly before going to one of the showers. He turned it on cool and let the water drench him.

"Sam." Dean said again.

"I'm okay." Sam said.

Castiel put his hand on Sam's head and nodded a Dean.

Dean's eyes brightened. "It worked?"

Sam looked up. "It worked?"

"There is no trace of demon blood." Cas said.

Sam pushed his hair back out of his face and let the cool water flow over his face.

Dean called John and told him the news. "Cas said there isn't any more demon blood."

John crouched down. "How are you feeling?"

"Seasick but it is fading." Sam said.

Kate fidgeted nervously. She was worried and no one was telling her anything. When Dean came back into the room she looked at him hopefully.

Dean walked over and hugged her. "It worked."

Kate squeaked. "Really?"

"Yes, you and I are still going to talk but it worked." Dean said. He spun on his heel and went back into the hallway.

Bobby raised a brow at Kate.

Kate wrapped a blanket around her shoulders.

"I wouldn't go anywhere." Bobby said.

Kate frowned.

"You are on incredibly thin ice. The ice is actually long gone. This is great news but you scared the living daylights out of us."

Kate brought her feet back onto the table and rested her head on her knees. "It will all be worth it if Sam and Andy get to live normal lives."

Bobby sighed and approached Kate. He patted her back and put an arm around her. "Things will be okay."

Jess stepped into the hallway in one of Sam's t-shirts. She rubbed her face. "Where is Sam?"

Dean held open the bathroom door.

Sam towel dried his hair. He smiled at Jess. "Hey, baby."

Jess looked from Dean to Sam. "What is wrong?"

"I tried the cure." Sam said.

Jess touched his face.

"It worked." Sam said. He grinned and picked her up so that she was sitting on the bathroom counter.

Dean shut the bathroom door. He'd give them their space. He went back into the infirmary to talk to Kate. "Sam is okay. He felt rough for a few minutes but is great now."

Kate relaxed. She sniffled a few times and started sobbing.

Dean took over from Bobby. He sat down and pulled Kate into his lap. He rested his chin on the top of her head and let her cry.

Bobby clapped John on the back. "How does it feel?"

John scoffed. "I am glad Azazel doesn't have his claws in my son anymore."

Sam got a clean shirt from his dresser and put it on. He changed pants and tossed another shirt to Jess. "That exhausts the clothes I have here."

Jess changed shirts. "Luckily you are a giant and your shirts are dresses on me."

Sam smiled. He sat down on his bed and drew Jess closer. "If we stay in here, you don't even need the shirt."

Jess swatted his hands away. "Control yourself."

Sam frowned and squeezed the back of her thigh. "Fine. Buzzkill."

"How is Kate?" Jess asked.

"She is gaining strength," Sam said. He tilted his head. "We can go see her."

Dean looked up when Sam and Jess walked into the room. He tapped Kate's shoulder.

Kate sniffled and wiped her face. "Do you feel okay?"

Sam sat down beside her. "Yeah, bug, I do."

"You should ask Jess as well." Dean said.

Kate looked at Jess with furrowed brows.

Jess nodded. "I feel okay too."

"She wound up giving you twice what we planned for her too." Dean said.

Kate shrunk a little. "I'm sorry."

"It is okay. I'm happy I was able to help." Jess said.

Taylor put Andy's portion of the tea into a mug to cool. He felt pressure behind his eye and stumbled. He found Bobby. "Call the police."

Bobby furrowed his brows.

"Jody, call Jody!" Taylor said.

Bobby put a hand on Taylor's shoulder. "Are you okay?"

Taylor shook his head. "Call her!"

Bobby dialed Jody's number and cleared his throat when she answered.

"Ask her if she is at the office." Taylor said.

Jody smiled. "Is that Taylor?"

Bobby pinched the bridge of his nose. "Yeah, it is. Are you already at work?"

Jody placed her travel mug in the cupholder of her car. "I am on my way there. What is up?"

Taylor held his hand out for the phone.

Bobby told him to wait. "Did David get that psych eval?"

"No, he hasn't yet. The person who does that is going to come in today."

Taylor braced himself against Bobby's arm. "Tell her to stop."

Bobby covered the phone. "Taylor, I can't just tell her to stop."

"David is going to kill someone," Taylor said. "I saw a uniform."

Bobby nodded and tried to stall Jody. However, if he stopped her, David could always kill another officer. "Does anyone have eyes on David?"

"I don't know." Jody said. She turned her car off and put the phone to her ear. "What is going on, Bobby?"

"Let me talk to her." Taylor said.

Bobby held his hand out and covered his phone again. "Taylor, I know you had a vision. I believe you. You can't just tell her though."

"Where is Cas? He can get me there."

Bobby grabbed his elbow. "No. You are going to run straight into a trap."

Taylor's eyes flashed blue. "I can't just let him kill people either. He is going to get out of that cell and he is going to kill people."

Bobby put the phone back to his ear. "Taylor had a dream that David hurt one of the officers. After everything he has been through, he wants me to ask you to be careful. His anxiety has been bad since the explosion." He gave Taylor a look.

Taylor nodded his approval.

"Oh, well... I can certainly be careful around him. That is a strange dream to have." Jody said.

"Trauma does that to a kid." Bobby said.

Jody got to the precinct and couldn't shake what Bobby said. Taylor was a wonderful kid and didn't deserve the things that happened to him. "Has anyone checked on David this morning?"

A new officer got up. "I was just about to."

"I'll come with you." Jody said.

"Oh, ma'am, I can handle it." The young man said.

Jody smiled at him. "Just curious."

They walked down the hallway and through a set of doors to the holding cells. The young officer tapped the bars.

David sat up and looked at them blankly.

"You are being transferred in a few hours." The young officer stated.

David leaned against the wall. "Joy."

Hibbins unlocked the cell to do a routine check before providing David food. He stepped in and patted David down. He was satisfied that David was clean. "Someone will bring you a tray." He went to step away from David but David grabbed him.

David went to hold a knife to Hibbins's throat but Jody knocked it from his hand and had him pinned to the ground on his stomach within moments.

Hibbins scrambled to his feet and cuffed David.

Jody chained the cuffs to a bolt on the floor and grabbed the knife. She was in shock.

Hibbins left the cell and once out of sight of the cells, grabbed his stomach and doubled over.

Jody yelled for backup and left David in the hands of two of their colleagues. She walked Hibbins out of the holding area and had him sit down. "Are you okay?"

Hibbins touched his neck. David had cut him on one side.

"It is just a knick." Jody said. She held a paper towel to the wound and requested assistance.

"How? How did you?" Hibbins tried to ask how she reacted so quickly but his heart was in his throat. He had a new bride at home.

Jody couldn't get Taylor out of her head. She wouldn't have gone back there with Hibbins had Bobby not called her. She had no reason to go back there. "I saw him moving." She checked his neck and let out a big breath. "He just grazed you." She patted him on the shoulder when a medic showed up.

The medic confirmed that the cut was superficial.

Jody gave her statement to another officer and walked out to her car to call Bobby. "Alright, Bobby Singer, you had better start talking."

Bobby was caught off guard. "What?"

"Tell me how the hell you knew David would try to hurt someone." Jody said.

Bobby scratched his chin. "I told you Taylor was worried about it."

"Did you have something to do with it?" Jody asked.

"What happened?" Bobby asked.

Jody explained what happened.

Bobby rubbed his head. "Where did he get a knife from?"

"I don't know, Bobby! I was hoping you could tell me since you knew it was going to happen before it happened." Jody was slipping out of shock and starting to panic.

Taylor reached for the phone. "Miss Jody?"

"Taylor, sweetie." Jody said.

"Bobby didn't do anything. I just had a bad dream. Are you okay?" Taylor asked.

Jody's heart melted. "Yes. I am okay. David had a knife on him and hurt an officer but the cut was superficial."

Taylor gave Bobby a look that said 'I told you so.' He felt a chill. "Is he still there?"

Jody walked back into the building to chaos. "What is going on in here?"

Hibbin's threw up his hands. "Evans and Smith let the little shit escape."

Evans, a seasoned officer whirled around. "We did not let him escape! He was there and then he wasn't."

"He was chained to the floor!" Hibbins shot back.

Jody whistled loudly. "Where is he?" She remembered Taylor on the phone. "Taylor, honey, I'm going to have to call you back."

Taylor's eyes turned blue and stayed blue. "If you see him again, run."

Jody ended the call and helped search for the escapee. She had no idea how he would have gotten out of the chains, the cell and then the building. She paused, Taylor had asked if he was still there. She started to think about David's activities and things she had noticed about Taylor.

Bobby put his hand on Taylor's shoulder. "Reign it in."

Taylor rolled Bobby's hand off his shoulder. "I was right."

Bobby touched his arm again. "You were. You warned Jody and no one has been hurt."

Taylor gritted his teeth.

John swiftly approached and put his hand on the back of Taylor's neck. "Cool it!"

Taylor blinked and his eyes were normal.

"We will listen. You, however need to control yourself." John said.

Taylor nodded. "Yes, sir."

John let go of his neck. "Is he connected to the demons surrounding Sam's place and Azazel?"

Taylor held his head. "I don't know."

"Where would he go?" John asked.

Taylor sat down in a chair. "Nate... Nate and Ellie."

Bobby called Jody back. "This is going to sound crazy but.."

"Singer, everything sounds crazy right now. Skip the pleasantries." Jody said.

"There are two kids that live over on Fuller Street. They are brother and sister."

Jody wrote down details and grabbed her partner and a squad car. She zipped over to Nate and Ellie's house and banged on the door.

Nate's mom answered the door in her robe. "Hello?"

Jody introduced herself. "We received a call from someone that was concerned about your children."

"They are walking to the bus stop."

Jody stepped onto the sidewalk and motioned for her partner to run with her. She saw the two kids and called out for them.

Nate turned around. He was startled to see two officers running toward him. "Ma'am?"

Jody drew her gun from its holster. She motioned for the two kids to approach them.

Ellie stopped to see who Jody was looking at. She screamed when David grabbed her.

Jody grabbed Nate and shoved him behind her. "David, let go of the girl." She shuttered when David met eyes with her. She squinted. She could have sworn they were black.

Castiel appeared beside David and Ellie.

David vanished.

Castiel touched Ellie's head and told her that it was a normal morning and nothing happened. He did the same thing to Nate and Jody's partner.

Jody aimed her gun at Castiel. Her hands were shaking.

"I will leave your memory intact. You will be useful."

Jody blinked and Castiel was gone. She shakily reholstered her weapon and called Bobby back. "Rober Singer, you owe me on hell of an explanation."

Bobby rubbed his face. "Man in a trenchcoat?"

Jody put a hand on her cruiser. "David was there and then he wasn't."

"He is fast." Bobby said.

Jody took a deep breath. "What have you gotten me into?"

Bobby chuckled nervously. "That is a long story."

Castiel said that David was underground for the time being. He had fled as soon as he saw him.

Caleb rocked back in his chair. He propped his feet on the library table. "Are there still demons around Sam's house?"

Castiel looked into the distance and then back at Caleb. "No."

"Where did they all go?"

"Here." Cas answered.

Bobby looked up at the ceiling. "Here?"

"They are awaiting orders." Cas said.

"From who?" Bobby asked.

Castiel vanished for a moment. As suspected, the demons scattered. He returned. "They are more skittish of me than they typically are."

"Well, that is handy." Bobby said.

"David is a demon, right?" Taylor asked.

"He is possessed by one." Cas said. "It may be one of Azazel's most loyal."

Taylor hit the table. "I was right! He is connected!"

John simply looked at Taylor.

Taylor slowly sat down. "Controlling myself, got it."

"Go get the others." John said.

Taylor gathered Dean, Sam and Kate. "John wants everyone in the library."

Jess stayed with April and played with Andy and Ian.

"David is in the wind. He attacked an officer and attempted to attack two children." Bobby said.

Kate gasped. "Ellie?"

Taylor nodded. "Miss Jody stopped him. Cas got rid of him."

Kate sat down and bounced her legs.

"Cas thinks he is possessed by one of Azazel's groupies." Bobby added.

Dean sat down and covered his face. He had a migraine and just wanted to sleep.

"Could they still be after Andy?" Sam asked. "Why is David involved?"

"I can get David here." Kate said.

Dean sat up. "No. You are banned from abilities and magic for right now. He may be assuming that you'd try that and then we'd have a demon in the bunker that has intimate knowledge of Azazel's plans and knowledge about Taylor."

Kate made a zipping motion over her mouth.

"I can stop him." Taylor said. "I have had visions for weeks. This is obviously my fight."

"No." Dean and John said at the same time.

Taylor's eyes flashed blue for a second before he reigned himself back in.

"No Nephilian powers." John said. "We don't know what the plan is so they may be expecting for you to use your abilities."

"My blood is toxic to demons." Kate said before she could stop herself.

Dean slid his chair back and grabbed her arm. He marched her to her room and sat her on her bed. "No abilities. No blood. No magic."

"But.."

"No."

"Dean."

"Demons are our specialty. We will figure it out." Dean said.

"I won't talk anymore." Kate said.

Dean pointed to her bed. "You are going to stay in your room."

Kate started to protest but Dean's scowl told her to shut up.

Dean shut Kate's door and sat back down.

"Should we cure Andy first?" Sam asked.

John opened and closed his pocket knife to give his hands something to do. "Will he be able to handle that?"

"I can stay with him. It feels rough for a little bit but I am fine now." Sam said.

John nodded. "Taylor, go with him."

Taylor opened his mouth and promptly shut it. He reluctantly left the library and followed Sam.

Sam could see flashes of blue imitating from Taylor's eyes. "I hated when they did it to me too."

Taylor stopped and shoved his anger down. "The only way to get stuff done is to go behind their freaking backs."

Sam turned and looked Taylor in the eyes. "I get being frustrated. I do. Taylor, please don't go behind their backs. Kate is in so much trouble and trust me, you don't want to be in the same boat."

"I already am." Taylor said, ruefully.

"No, no you aren't. You are on the same lake, maybe but not the same boat." Sam said. "I talked to Dean and dad."

Taylor sighed. "Let's cure a kid."

Sam knocked on April's door and explained the cure and how he reacted to it. "He will feel sick but it passes."

April was unsure.

Andy sat up. "I'll do it."

"Andy." April said.

Andy shook his head. "I have to mama. I don't want to hurt you or Ian."

April kissed the side of his head. "What if he reacts badly to it?"

"We have ways to help. Worst case scenario we call in our personal angel and he heals him." Sam said.

Taylor brought the tea to Andy.

Sam gathered stuff that would ease the chaos. "Jess, would you mind taking Ian somewhere?"

Jess held Ian. "Is that okay?"

April nodded. "Yes, thank you. If he is hungry, he will happily eat any kind of fruit."

Jess bounced Ian as she walked. She wanted kids one day. Ian was just too cute. She wondered if Sam wanted kids.

"I had a lot of symptoms hit me at once. It looks bad but he will be okay." Sam said.

April held Andy's hand as he sipped the tea.

"This tastes yucky." Andy said.

Sam sat on a stool. "I thought so too." He pinched his nose. "IF you pinch your nose like this, it blocks some of the taste."

Andy did as Sam showed him. "That does help a little." His tummy felt rumbly. He drank the rest of the tea so he didn't have to drink it anymore.

"I started getting tingly and hot. My stomach hurt and I threw up. I promise it will pass though." Sam said.

Andy started getting wiggly. "I don't like this."

Sam fanned him with a folder. "I promise it will pass."

April knew what was coming but it still cut into her heart. "Breathe love."

Andy started pulling at his clothes and rubbing his arms and legs.

"I'm going to carry him to the bathroom." Sam said.

April nodded and followed him.

Sam turned one of the showers on and sat down in the floor with Andy in his lap. He let the water hit Andy's back and held a bucket for him.

Taylor assisted by grabbing towels and wiping Andy's face.

The side effects lasted longer than they had with Sam but eventually they dissipated. Andy was weak, limp, and cold.

Sam shivered. He scooted from under the water and wrapped Andy in a towel. "It is over."

Andy leaned his head on Sam and took big breaths. He didn't like that at all. "Am I good now?"

Sam carried him to April. "You were always good."

"I had demon in me." Andy said.

"I did too. Doesn't mean we were bad." Sam said.

Andy sniffled. "I'm cold."

April dried him and helped him get dressed.

Sam carried him back to his bed and placed a blanket over him. "Cas will come to check on him." He realized Taylor wasn't with him. He ran into the hallway and found Taylor.

Taylor had gotten another wave of visions once the demon blood had left Andy's system. He was shaking with anger and about to snap.

Sam grabbed Taylor and held his arms to his side. "Fight it."

Taylor pulled against Sam. "Let go of me."

Sam shoved him into an empty room and blocked the door. "Pull it together."

"He is here." Taylor said.

Sam braced himself against the door. "You have to fight it."

Taylor shook his head. "I have to end it."

"Taylor, listen to me. Tell me about what you saw. I'll even help. Do not go at this alone. Even if you get the upper hand, I know my dad would be beyond pissed." Sam said. He wondered if he could physically restrain Taylor if he needed to.

Taylor took deep breaths and tried to relax his shoulders and jaw.

Sam kept talking him down. "Let's go in there and talk to them. They will listen if you stay calm. If you snip, dad is going to snap."

Taylor took one final calming breath. "I seem to remember you being notorious for snipping."

Sam laughed. "That is why I am telling you to calm the hell down."

Taylor stepped toward the door.

"I can only do so much. I can body check you but if you piss dad or Dean off..." Sam said.

Taylor stopped and laughed lightly. "I understand."

Sam nodded. He checked on Andy briefly and told Jess she could go back into the room. He kissed her and gave her a wink.

Taylor walked ahead of Sam into the library. "Andy is resting."

"Did it work?" Dean asked.

Taylor started to speak but Sam jabbed him in the side.

"Once he was over it, Taylor got another vision about David." Sam said.

Taylor turned away from them so he could manage his anger.

"Taylor said David is here." Sam said.

Castiel checked the perimeter and confirmed Taylor's observation.

"Is it just him?" Dean asked.

Castiel said that there were several others.

Kate pushed into Taylor's head. She had had a vision too.

Taylor's eyes glowed.

Sam touched him. "Taylor."

Taylor growled deep in his chest.

Dean got up and stood in front of Taylor. "We are listening. What is going on?"

Taylor slowly turned toward John. "Maybe you can't pull a person back into their burned body but you can pull their twisted soul from hell and put it in another body."

John's blood felt chilled. "Where is this coming from?"

Dean saw Taylor's face. "Kate."

Taylor held his hand up. "She isn't doing anything."

Dean sighed. "I didn't say she was. I'm going to tell her to come out here."

Taylor told Kate to come. "She's on her way."

Dean could feel static electricity coming off of Taylor.

"Taylor, we are going to put an end to this. We can't do that if you snap." John said. His voice was firm but gentle.

Kate touched Taylor's back and pulled some of the energy from him. "Not now."

Taylor shook his head and got control of himself. He felt like he was breathing through a wet cloth.

Castiel spoke to Dean where no one else could hear them. "They are correct."

Dean flinched. "How?"

"David," Castiel said. "He is working with the demon that possesses him. They both get what they want."

"So Craig is out of hell?" Dean asked.

Castiel said that he was indeed out of hell.

Dean rubbed his face and walked back over to the table. "They are right."

John pulled Taylor to the side. "We are going to get rid of them. They may be trying to get to you. You going out there may be exactly what they want."

"You want me to stay here." Taylor said.

John put a firm hand on his shoulder. "I need you to watch out for everyone here."

Taylor didn't respond. He just looked away.

They hatched a plan based on the information that Cas obtained.

Sam was not 100 percent from how sick the cure made him. He wasn't surprised that he was told to stay back.

"Send them back to hell, try to save the humans." Caleb said. "Got it."

Dean wasn't 100 percent either but he would not be told to stay back. He shoved a container of holy water into his pocket and counted out salt rounds.

Kate tapped Dean on the arm. "Be safe."

Dean ruffled her hair. "I will try."

"You still owe me a talk." Kate said.

Dean hugged her. "I know. So I will come back in one piece."

Taylor wanted to go. He wanted to get revenge. He understood that they likely were trying to trap him but a mix of anger and fear grew in his stomach.

John approached Taylor one more time before they went outside.

Taylor worked through some emotions and comments. He finally looked at John. "When it comes to Craig, if you don't kill him, I will."
