The Ultra Divine Water is a mystical water known for its deadly potency and the amount of deaths it causes to the one who drinks from it. But it is said that if you can survive its ill effects, you will be granted power. For Goku, this power came in two fold - one from the drink itself, and the other from being on the edge of death's door. But of course, a human does not get the latter benefit so it does beg the question… How will Chi-Chi affect the upcoming battle against King Piccolo and can she truly turn the tide?

At Korin's Tower, only a short while before Tien's team arrives to face King Piccolo and his demons, Korin watches from his tower as he senses what is going on, more or less focusing on Ayote, looking into her heart.

Korin: "...You poor kid. Your Saiyan flame is snuffed out, creating a mental block that's keepin' you from your full strength. Heck, even at half strength, you'd give Piccolo a run for his money. But without even a spark, you aren't any better than the common human…"

Korin then turns back to check on Chi-Chi, who's been still for the better part of a couple of hours. He could still sense her heart beating - rapidly, but still beating - but her mind is completely frozen over. He was getting worried that Chi-Chi may have died from the Ultra Divine Water… until an aura burst from the young girl. An angry, fiery aura colored a shade of blue, which contorted to form a bull; veins appeared on the girl's head and arms as she tried to control this raging bull before the aura vanished and Chi-Chi collapsed to her side. Korin, now even more worried, ran up to her side and checked to see if she was okay.

Korin: "Hey! Chi-Chi! You okay, girl?"

Chi-Chi: "...I… I feel amazing!"

Chi-Chi hopped to her feet, looking as if she didn't just drink water that is known to kill those that drink it. She gave a few swift jabs to the air, Korin noting that her speed and agility has indeed improved. He didn't feel like it could defeat King Piccolo wholesale, but it may just give the edge she needed after all.

Korin: "That's impressive, kid. You are one in a million to survive that. And I can sense it; you've definitely gotten stronger."

Chi-Chi: "I feel it too. But you don't look as happy as you should though…"

Korin: "Well… Let's just say your friends have decided to start their coup. And if you don't get your butt down there pronto, I fear you won't be much help to 'em."

Chi-Chi: "Okay. B-But how do I get to the fight in time? My dad's car is fast, but not that fast…"

Korin chuckles before walking over to present a large yellow cloud. He explains that the Flying Nimbus Goku flew around on is only a small chunk of a larger whole. He then pulls out a small cloud from the yellow cloud, giving Chi-Chi her own Nimbus.

Korin: "With this, you oughta be able to get to King Castle in no time."

Chi-Chi: "Thank you for everything, Master Korin. Truly…"

Korin: "Oh. And one last thing… Don't kill King Piccolo."

Chi-Chi: "Huh!?"

Korin: "Yeah, I know. Sounds counter-intuitive saying it out loud. But… Let's just say if you take his life, the chance of reviving Goku and those lives taken by King Piccolo's children will just plummet."

Chi-Chi could sense the seriousness in Korin's voice. She gives a nod to the cat before hopping onto the Flying Nimbus. Before she leaves though, Korin gives her a small satchel of Senzu Beans that he's been growing for this occasion. With a "thanks", Chi-Chi flies away from the tower, heading to the battlefield. But as she flew through the air, she looks in a general direction.

Chi-Chi: "Nimbus. I know we are in a hurry, but can you take me to where Goku last fought King Piccolo?"

As if responding to her wish, Nimbus does indeed fly to where Goku's body should have been; there was no body, but his Power Pole was still there. Chi-Chi could only presume the worst, considering how cruel nature could be at times, but she had to be brave. She grabs the Power Pole and its sheathe before putting both on her back.

Chi-Chi: "Goku… Give me strength… Even if you are not here, please fight with us in spirit."

With the Power Pole on her back, she heads to the final battle.

Now in the present, Chi-Chi stands between King Piccolo and a wounded Ayote, looking defiant as the Demon King rubs some blood off his bottom lip.

Piccolo: "Another defiant warrior wishes to die? Tch. You got a lucky shot simply because my guard was down. However, you won't get lucky twice."

Ayote: "...Ch-Chi-Chi…?"

Ayote was hurt pretty badly, but she did see Chi-Chi raise a thumbs up, though still staring at Piccolo.

Chi-Chi: "Remember what you told me? To live my own life? You need to do the same too, Ayote. Goku… Krillin… And Master Roshi… I know how their deaths deeply affected you, and trust me, I felt the same way when I lost Mom. But you pulled me away from that path and set me down something better. A different path to pursue, as a means to keep my promise to my Mom."

Piccolo: "How cute. A promise to your mother, you say? Hmph. Whatever nonsense that is, you will have to settle for a blood oath!"

Drum, Triangle, and Cello jump at Chi-Chi with her back still to them. For her, time seemed to slow down as she closed her eyes. She then jumped towards Drum, landing a hard knee to his gut before flipping back and landing a drop kick. She then moves to Cello and hits him in the chest with an elbow, the monster reeling back and being met with a backfist to his beak. Triangle is sweep kicked, causing the demon to start spinning; with some concentration, the girl slammed her open palm right onto the demon. To everyone else, Chi-Chi just seemed to slightly move position as all three demons are sent flying in separate directions, much to Piccolo's shock. Even Ayote was in awe; not even a day ago, Chi-Chi looked to have barely understood the fundamentals of martial arts and only acted with childish hatred towards Ayote, which resulted in her hitting a wall and eliminating herself as a result. Here, she looked fully in control.

Drum: "Wh-Why you!"

Drum rushed at Chi-Chi, throwing fists at Chi-Chi, but it seemed like they just went through her. Ayote could barely see it, but Chi-Chi was in fact dodging; it was just so fast that it seemed like the demon's fists were just passing through her. As Drum slammed a fist to the ground in anger, Chi-Chi jumped over this attack, quickly spinning as she slams a spin kick to the demon's head, causing viscera to fly as his head comes clean off, much to Piccolo's anger and the other two demon's shock.

Cello: "Drum! …Alright. No more mister nice guy… Take this!"

Cello took to the skies and began to charge energy into his mouth, ready to unleash a powerful blast that would engulf the entire area. Chi-Chi pulls out her Power Pole and aims one end at Cello while aiming the other to the ground. Cello didn't seemed worried as the distance meant he could dodge a simple pole.

Chi-Chi: "Power Pole, extend!"

The pole extended on command, hitting the ground as Chi-Chi was propelled into the air with enough force to launch her at Cello at impressive speeds. As the demon was ready to fire, Chi-Chi slams a foot onto Cello's bottom jaw, forcing it closed as his own power effectively exploded from the inside of his body.

Triangle: "Sh-She's so strong… I can't take her by myself… But… I can at least take someone!"

Triangle lunges over to the downed Tien and Chiaotzu, aiming to use them as hostages. But Chi-Chi sees through this plan and readies her Power Pole once more. She extends it downward at the demon, the impact slamming through his chest with enough force to ultimately land a fatal blow. All three of Piccolo's strongest demons, all dead by Chi-Chi's hands. Piccolo was seething in anger over the loss of his children… But part of him was impressed by the power of this new fighter.

Piccolo: "To defeat my sons like that is no small feat. I will give you some credit, girl… However, as long as I draw breath, I can simply make more."

Chi-Chi: "I'm aware. And I have every intention of beating you."

She says, waving a hand to showcase her defiance. However, this was a mere cover as she tosses the satchel of Senzu Beans to the still wounded Chiaotzu. He looks at the satchel's contents, then at Chi-Chi, she giving a subtle nod before looking back to her opponent.

Piccolo: "Feeling brave, are we? Then come… Let's see how far that bravery takes you."

Chi-Chi gets into a fighting position as Piccolo starts to power up, preparing himself for battle. A light breeze blows through as the combatants glare each other down. Piccolo makes the first move by stretching his arm out at Chi-Chi, much to shock as she is grabbed and pulled towards him and slammed in his knee. This clean hit shows just what kind of fight she was in for; but she quickly recovers and swiftly lands a vertical spin kick on the Demon King's face, actually causing him to spit out blood from the impact the kick had. With this moment, Chi-Chi unleashes a pulse of her energy, knocking Piccolo back even further. As the girl lunges at him with a readied punch, her punch is caught as the Demon King recovers from this slight. He then grins at her as he fires eye beams at her, burning her right shoulder as she moves to avoid a lethal shot. She knees Piccolo's hand holding her fist to get free before backing away quickly with a few side flips.

Chi-Chi's Thoughts: "Damn it… He's sturdier than I thought. My hits are landing, but they won't be enough to beat him…"

Piccolo: "I told you, you won't get lucky twice. My power is far mightier than any creature on this planet. Observe!"

Piccolo starts to grunt as he charges power and begins to grow in size, becoming an even larger creature, much to Chi-Chi's horror. Giant King Piccolo smiles down at his much smaller prey before raising a foot and stomping it down toward her. Chi-Chi jumps back before clenching a fist.

Chi-Chi: "Oh well… No time like the present!"

Chi-Chi charges up and unleashes her aura, releasing her inner raging bull. She jumps up toward the stomach of the giant, slamming a fist with enough force to cause Piccolo to reel back in pain. Nimbus flies in to provide flight for Chi-Chi as it flies around the giant's attempt to swat her away. With Piccolo distracted, Chiaotzu eats one of the Senzu Beans, fully recovering in an instant.

Chiaotzu: "Whoa… What's in these beans?"

He then quickly rushes to Tien's side as the tri-clops could barely move.

Tien: "...Ch-Chiaotzu…"

Chiaotzu: "It's okay. Here. Eat this."

The tinier human gives Tien a Senzu Bean, allowing him to quickly recover from his injuries and stand back up.

Tien: "Amazing. Thanks, my friend."

As he adjusts his wristbands, he looks up to see the giant before him fighting Chi-Chi. He then clenches a fist.

Tien: "Chiaotzu. Give one to Ayote. We may need her help too."

Chiaotzu: "But what are you going to do?"

Tien: "Heh. Make my dissatisfaction of his ruling known. Now go!"

Chiaotzu nods before floating his way over to Ayote. Tien looked at Piccolo before flying up high, beginning to charge energy.

Tien: "I need to conserve enough energy for the Mafuba. No playing around."

Chi-Chi sees Tien fly into the air, distracting her enough to get hit by a mouth blast from Piccolo. Thankfully her aura kept her from being reduced to dust, but it still hurt a lot. But she took the opportunity to get out of the way of what was coming.

Piccolo: "Hah! Fool… In this form, I am invincible! None can hope to best me!"

Tien: "I wouldn't be too sure about that!"

Piccolo's eyes widen before he looks up to see Tien charge energy into a familiar hand formation - the Tri-Beam.

Tien: "This is for everyone you killed! Tri-Beam! HA!"

Tien's attack fires, landing a direct hit on Piccolo as he's slammed to the ground by the intense force of the attack, knocking him off his feet. It barely did any damage, but not enough to keep the king down. Chiaotzu approaches Ayote, holding the satchel tightly.

Chiaotzu: "Ayote! Are you okay?"

Ayote doesn't respond, merely staring at the fight before her. The pale child could only sigh before glaring at her.

Chiaotzu: "Ayote! Come on! I know you're hurting! Krillin, Goku, and Master Roshi are gone… But they would want you to keep fighting for them! There's still a fire in you! Why else would you have saved me!?"

Ayote pauses at that, now asking that question herself. What made her save Chiaotzu? Was it just a compulsion to do the right thing? Her thoughts continued to swirl around her mind as she couldn't think of any logical reason.

Chiaotzu: "Please, Ayote. We need you too."

Chiaotzu places the satchel in Ayote's hands, she gripping it tightly instinctually.

Chiaotzu: "Eat one of those beans in the satchel when you are ready."

With that, Chiaotzu flies back to fight King Piccolo by firing a barrage of Dodon Rays at the giant. Chi-Chi ran in and slammed a drill kick on the downed Piccolo's back, causing him to scream out in pain. With another Tri-Beam rained down on him, Piccolo's patience had reached its breaking point.

Piccolo: "Enough!"

Piccolo unleashes an explosion of his energy, sending the heroes flying back from the force of his power, even destroying his castle with this unleash of power. Tien, Chiaotzu, and Chi-Chi were blown back, the Flying Nimbus escaping the fight before it could be destroyed again; the former two struggled to their feet, but Chi-Chi was in serious pain due to being in her enraged bull for too long. Piccolo shrinks down to his normal size, feeling pain from his own prolonged transformation, before glaring at the warriors.

Piccolo: "Your efforts to defeat the mighty King Piccolo are in vain. I am all powerful. Unstoppable! Immortal! Even you, girl…"

Ayote was blown away by the explosive wave much like everyone else, but she held on to the satchel as she continued to stare at the battle. She then heard a cackle as Piano, Piccolo's right hand, approached.

Piano: "Those fools truly thought they could stand up to my lord at his prime? Maybe in some deluded sense if they fought him before he made his wish upon the Dragon Balls."

Piano then turned to Ayote, charging a ball of ki as he smirked.

Piano: "As for you… You are worth nothing if you won't even fight. Your defiance to my master has cost you any good faith he was willing to give."

Ayote could only listen, ridiculed by even her enemy. Her want to fight continued to conflict with her guilt. She was even willing to accept death at the hands of someone so weak. That is until she heard voices.

Roshi: "Ayote. You mustn't give up now. Not after everything you've gone through."

Ayote's ears perked up as she looked around. Was she going mad now?

Goku: "Hey, I know you're better than this! And way stronger too!"

Ayote: "...Go…ku…"

Krillin: "Hey, I'm here too! Look, I know losing loved ones is hard… And things look really dire. But you need to keep a chin up. You're that girl from a tiny island that changed us for the better."

Goku: "Yeah. I got to remember something truly important thanks to you. My mom… My dad… And who I am. I am Kakarot… But I'm also Son Goku."

Krillin: "We're brothers-in-arms. We help each other out when we need it. Ayote… We know you need help, so please, don't give in to sorrow."

Elery: "Come now, is this truly the kind of daughter I raised? To give up on the world you call home? Do you want to lose something that precious to you?"

Gine: "Come on, Ayote. You still have the will to fight. No matter what, we are all still with you."

Gohan: "Hehe. This is our first proper meeting, Ayote. But I thank you for taking care of Goku… And being a wonderful friend to him. I feared what may happen to him when I left the world of the living… But knowing that there are people like you out there… I hope you can continue to be a good influence on others."

Mutaito: "Piccolo is strong, but you are stronger still. You and this young lad… You both share a gift. You were given another chance to live. Don't let this demon take it from you just because your heart is hurting."

Roshi: "Ayote. I am very proud of the woman you became. You changed this old hermit's life… I never wanted you to be involved with the sins of our past. Your emotional state just wasn't clear and I feared what may happen to you… I was a fool in the end for thinking I could handle the situation myself. Ayote. You still have a chance to honor the Turtle School… To honor your family…"

Ayote: "...Everyone…"

Ayote began to cry as she heard so many voices speak out to her, those she knew and those she didn't. Her heart began to beat hard, her fist started to clench before she felt something inside her ignite. It was small… but enough to provide her strength. She began to gather energy, standing on her feet as she did, causing the rocks and debris to float around her as her power grew. Piano, who was ready to end her, suddenly felt scared as this surge of power was ever increasing. Piccolo, who picked up Chi-Chi by her neck, ready to stab his claws through her chest, senses Ayote's energy as he turns toward her, fear in his eyes as he could feel such intensity from the girl.

Ayote: "Piccolo!"

Ayote's aura was on full display as she stepped towards the Demon King, causing him to drop Chi-Chi as he took a step back. Tien and Chiaotzu stared at this display, jaws opened wide at such power.

Tien: "Is this… Ayote's true power!?"

Piccolo: "S-Stay back! Wh-What sort of creature are you!? WHO ARE YOU!?"

Ayote: "...I am a Saiyan born from Planet Vegeta. I am a girl raised on Earth, who survived the destruction of her home… I am the one who will protect this world… I am Ayote!"

With a flash step, Ayote plunges her fist deep into Piccolo's gut, causing such intense pain as the demon king's eyes bulged out. Piccolo reeled back, holding his stomach in pain as he took slow steps back.

Piccolo: "H-How…? How can such a creature exist!?"

Piccolo, in an act of anger, uses a Makosen, firing two beams from his hands, both blasts connecting as they explode. But as the smoke cleared, Ayote remained standing, tanking the blasts without any difficulty. Piccolo's dread only increased. At first, he thought this girl a weakling with no spine after taking a heavy beating from his sons. But now he sees what this girl truly is. His thoughts then turn back to the boy he killed and notes how similar their energies are… Could that boy have similar power to her!?

Piccolo: "No… No! NO! I am Piccolo, the King of the Demons! I am the strongest in this world! I will not be outdone by some brat!"

Desperation took over as Piccolo readied all the energy he could as he prepared to unleash his strongest Exploding Wave. He launches it at Ayote, who continued to just stand there, taking the full brunt of the attack. Tien and Chiaotzu moved out of the radius of the attack as they carried Chi-Chi away. But once again, the dust settles… And at first Piccolo seemed triumphant as Ayote no longer stood where the attack hit, letting out a tired laugh as he thinks he utterly decimated Ayote. However, his sense of victory was short lived as he felt energy behind him. He turns slowly to find Ayote standing there, her clothes scorched off, leaving only bits of clothing clinging to her form.

Piccolo: "I-Impossible… A-Are you s-some kind of demon…?"

Ayote: "...No. I'm an Earthling."

Ayote jumps up, slamming a hard kick on Piccolo's head, knocking him to the ground. Ayote begins to charge a ki blast, holding it out to finish Piccolo on the spot. But as she did, Chi-Chi stopped her by calling out to her weakly.

Chi-Chi: "D… Don't…!"

Ayote: "Hm?"

Tien and Chiaotzu approach the Saiyan, the former still carrying Chi-Chi as she looked at Ayote.

Chi-Chi: "I… I know what you plan to do… And you have every right… But… If Piccolo dies… Then our chances of reviving Goku and the others vanish…"

Ayote: "...But this monster destroyed the dragon. We can't revive them anyway."

Chi-Chi: "I didn't… believe it either… But Master Korin… He helped me get stronger… And Goku too… I don't think he'd lie about this… Ayote, if you truly care about Goku… Then please spare Piccolo…"

Ayote paused, her ki blast still in her palm. She closed her eyes before firing her blast at Piano, utterly destroying him and making sure no one would interfere.

Ayote: "Tien… Can you still do the Mafuba?"

Tien: "I can."

Chi-Chi was placed aside as Tien got ready to use the Evil Containment Wave, Chiaotzu using his telepathy to hold Piccolo down in case he tried anything funny. Tien opened the bottle he brought and placed the seal on its side. With the Mafuba used, Piccolo was dragged into the bottle and sealed inside, ending his reign of terror.

Chiaotzu: "You did it, Tien!"

Tien: "No… We did it. We all did it."

As the group settle down with the defeat of King Piccolo, they hear the sound of a car speeding to their direction; the ronin Ayote had threatened in her brief spout of anger was driving a hovercar to the heroes before stopping.

Yajirobe: "Hey. Is one of you Ayote?"

Ayote: "...I am. Aren't you the pudgy fellow who was with Goku?"

Yajirobe recognized Ayote, but turned away when he noticed her looking… less than decent.

Yajirobe: "Uh… Yeah… Ahem… I was told by the cat in the tower to take to see him… Assuming you won the fight, that is… And he says to bring King Piccolo with ya too."

Ayote tilts her head, unbothered by her lack of clothes before turning to Tien, who gave her the bottle containing the demon king.

Ayote: "Tien… Sorry I wasn't much help earlier… And thanks for taking care of me…"

Tien: "Yeah. I just… hated the idea of owing you anything. This was just my way of paying you back for the tournament."

The Saiyan extends a hand to the tri-clops, smiling.

Ayote: "I… I'm not a hundred percent myself… So I can't ask for a rematch now… But if I ever get back to who I was before… Then I want us both to go all out."

Tien: "You still have a spark in you, Ayote. And I await the day we can have a proper match… I'll defeat you… on our terms."

Ayote nods as Tien gives Ayote a handshake, the two forming a fire forged friendship. After that, Ayote gets into the car with Yajirobe, the ronin still not looking her direction as he speeds off towards Korin's Tower. With the end of King Piccolo, peace was once again restored, thanks to the efforts of several strong warriors. Though a question remains… What happens next for Ayote? And is there a way to bring back her fallen friends and family?
