John found Collins propped up against a tree, holding his arm. "Hey, are you okay?"
Collins was pale. "It came out of nowhere. I didn't even get a look at it."
John wrapped his wounded arm. He couldn't see the extent of the damage but there was a lot of blood. "It was a hellhound."
Collins winced and leaned forward.
Dean knelt down beside them. "Where is Henry?"
"I don't know." Collins mumbled.
John called for an ambulance and waited at Collins' side. "Dean, try to find Henry."
Dean ran off down the trail to find their vehicle. He heard a shotgun being cocked and frozed. "Henry?"
Henry slowly walked from behind the truck. "Dean? Oh, God, kid. Sorry."
Dean approached him. "Are you hurt?"
"No." Henry said. "They got my partner though."
"He is alive. We found him. An ambulance is on the way." Dean said. "It wasn't werewolves. It was hellhounds."
"Hellhounds? We didn't make a deal." Henry said.
Dean couldn't explain why they were there because he'd have to explain how he knew what he did. "Someone else did and we interrupted the collection part of the deal."
"Where are they now?" Henry asked.
Dean shrugged. "It looks like they cleared out."
Henry followed the ambulance to the hospital. He left John in charge of making sure the area was clear and thanked them for helping Collins.
John unloaded his gun and placed it on the table at the motel. He shook his head and opened a beer.
"What did you think of older Kate?" Dean asked.
John inhaled slowly. "She is strong."
Dean nodded. "She is still Kate."
John put the beer down. "Was she supposed to be someone else?"
Dean opened his own beer. "No. I mean she still acts like Kate. She has already been through hell and I guess I worried that she would lose what makes her Kate."
John finished off the beer. "It would take more than hell to change that." He got up and went to the bathroom.
Dean heard the shower turn on and leaned back in his chair. He wanted to meet an older version of Taylor just to make sure he turned out okay. Where was Sam in eight years? Did Caleb stay with April? Wanting to know the future was something everyone had thought about at least once. However, seeing a glimpse made the desire worse. He sighed and sipped his beer. He called Bobby and gave him the update. "Just don't tell them who saved us."

April woke up with a cold chill. She looked at the clock and gasped.
Caleb was sitting on the couch with Ian in his lap, feeding him bits of a banana.
"I'm so sorry, Caleb." April said.
Caleb smiled. "He just woke up."
April rubbed the back of her neck and sniffled. "He fell asleep?"
"For a few hours. He may need some more Tylenol." Caleb said.
April picked Ian up and felt of his face. "I am so sorry. I didn't know he'd be up this much."
Caleb stood up and stopped her. "I got some sleep when he did. I've been looking through stuff for John. I intended for you to get some rest."
April's throat was a little sore. "You didn't have to do that."
"I know but I wanted to." Caleb said.
April gave Ian some more of his medication and started to make coffee. It was already made. She poured a cup for herself before sitting down at the table.
Caleb organized his papers and placed them in a folder. He heard a sniffle and turned around. "Hey, what is wrong?"
April shook her head and wiped her eyes. "Nothing."
Caleb pulled a chair out and sat in front of her. "April, are you okay?"
April lost control of her composure and broke down.
Caleb rubbed her shoulder. "It's okay."
Andy entered the kitchen and saw his mom in tears. He balled up his fist and looked at Caleb. "Did you make her do that?"
Caleb held back a chuckle. "No. I don't know what's wrong yet."
Andy narrowed his eyes and clutched his fist. "You promise?"
April looked up. "Caleb didn't do anything, buddy."
Andy grabbed some tissues and handed them to April before wrapping his arms around her. "It's okay, mama."
Caleb got up and got April a cool cloth and some water. "Here." He coaxed Ian out of April's arms and placated him with a popsicle. "Andy, would you mind finding a cartoon to watch?"
Andy dragged Ian to the living room and turned on the TV. He could be close by if his mom needed him.
April calmed down and swallowed. She winced and held her head.
Caleb sighed. "You are sick too."
April nodded. She felt awful but she also felt stupid. "I'm so sorry."
Caleb poured some cold medication into a measuring cup and handed it to her. "Why?"
"I've been an emotional mess and needy." April said.
Caleb gave her a small smile. "I'm not sharing a room with Dean right now. You've done me a favor."
April sipped the coffee. "You are on a couch though."
"I really don't mind." Caleb said.
April sniffled and swallowed again. "You could share my bed."
Caleb froze and looked at her.
April's face turned red. "No. I mean. I.. I'm sorry."
Caleb felt of her face. "How about you go back to bed for a little bit."
"You've been up all night." April said.
"I'm used to it. I got my four hours. I've got to run over to Bobby's house but they can go with me. I don't think Andy is going to touch anything."
April couldn't explain where her head was at but he was right. She was sick. "Okay."
Caleb put extra medication and water on her nightstand. "There you go."
Andy helped Caleb gather a few things. "Can I wear pajamas?"
Caleb chuckled. "Sure."
"Mom always puts extra clothes for Ian in the bag." Andy said.
Caleb looked around and found a stack of Ian's clothes. "Here we go."
Kate helped Caleb get the boys inside. "I can heal Ian."
Caleb felt of Ian's face. "I don't know if you should. Sickness is a normal part of life. It isn't like an injury. I know Dean doesn't want you using blood."
"I can just do what I used to do. I can do what I did last time Ian didn't feel good." Kate said.
Caleb nodded. "Then, yeah, if you don't mind."
Kate put her hand on Ian's head and closed her eyes. "That should help the fever and pain."
Ian perked up and looked around. He wriggled to get down and took off to Bobby's office.
Bobby saw him walking in and smiled. He put him on his lap and went back to reading.
"Why does he like Bobby so much?" Caleb asked.
Kate shrugged. "I don't know. It is pretty cute though."
Bobby looked up. "You two go gossip somewhere else."
Andy held Kate's hand. "Can you swing me?"
Kate asked Caleb if it was okay and then took Andy outside to the tire swing. "How are you liking it here?"
"I love it. My school is fun." Andy said. He giggled when the swing spun.
"Did you get to decorate your room?" Kate asked.
"Mom said I could pick out stuff for Christmas. Can you draw me some pictures for the wall?" Andy asked.
"Of course." Kate said. She spun him again and asked what kind of drawings he wanted.
Andy told her. He got quiet and put his foot down to stop the swing. "Katie?"
"What?" Kate asked.
"Do you think Caleb would want to be my dad?" Andy asked.
Kate smiled. "That is a big job."
"You have John. Then, Dean is kinda like a dad, right?" Andy asked.
"Dean is a very bossy older brother." Kate answered.
"My mom gets really sad sometimes. She gets happy when Caleb is at the house." Andy said.
"That is great that he can make her happy. Usually, if people get into a relationship, dating, or just as friends, it takes a while. I knew Dean and these guys for a while before I got adopted."
Andy looked toward the house. "I like it here."
"I like it here too. I'm glad you are here." Kate said. Snowflakes started to fall. "Let's go inside."
Andy frowned. "I love snow."
"I do too but you aren't dressed for snow." Kate said.
Caleb was talking to Bobby when Andy and Kate went back inside. "I think she has what Ian has."
"I'd say it would hit her harder because she's been taking care of the boys." Bobby said.
"I'm trying to help her. She acted upset earlier but I don't know why." Caleb admitted.
Kate, with Andy's words in mind, cleared her throat. "Taylor and I could babysit so you could pick up some food and check on her. She may need to go to the doctor."
Caleb considered it. "I don't know. I told her I'd watch them."
Kate asked Taylor to take Andy to look for a snack. "If you are worried about safety, I do have the ability to compel people."
Caleb chuckled. "That would have been useful yesterday."
Bobby had Ian falling asleep in his lap. "I'd be fine with them being here. You go take care of her."
Caleb told Andy where he was going and told him to listen and not touch anything he wasn't supposed to.
Kate patted Caleb's arm. "We will keep him out of trouble."
Bobby leaned back in his chair and propped his feet on a stack of books under his desk. He shifted Ian and asked Kate for a blanket.
Kate covered Ian. "He should nap for a while."

Dean didn't head back to Bobby's right away. "I'm already here. I might as well help."
John accepted the help. "It is a poltergeist."
"Did we ever figure out why the one that hurt Sam was so strong?" Dean asked.
"No. It may have just been old and angry." He saw Dean smirk and glared at him.
Dean scoffed. "I didn't even say anything."
"I knew what you were about to stay." He smacked Dean's chest as he walked by. "I'm not old."
Dean rubbed his chest. "Just angry."
"The poltergeist has been here for a few decades. A while back, it seemed like someone got rid of it but it has started to act up again." John said.
"Do you know anything about it?" Dean asked.
John stopped walking.
Dean sighed. "You did your research."
"The man was cremated so something here is keeping him here," John said. He used bolt cutters to break a chain.
Dean stepped into the building and pulled a face. A mouse ran across the floor and he could hear water dripping. The building was concrete-based. "What did this place used to be?"
"It has been a few things over the years. It used to be one of those alternative schools." John said. "If the kid couldn't make it in regular school, they came here as a last-ditch attempt to keep them out of jail."
Dean ran his fingers along the wall. "That would create an angry ghost or two."
"That was a while back, though. It has been used a few times over the years so most of this stuff wasn't around when our guy died." John said.
"So are you thinking something is stuffed into a vent?" Dean asked.
"That is what we are looking for." John said. "Lyle Burckette died in 1952. He found his wife with another man and chased the man here. They fought and Lyle was killed."
Dean whistled. "I'd be pretty angry too. Why did they run here?"
"I don't know." John said. He pulled out a set of blueprints and found the room that was Lyle's reported location when he died.
Dean crouched down. "Blood could have soaked into the floor."
John turned the EMF reader on and scanned the room. "I'm not getting anything."
Dean found a vent and shined the light in it. "I don't see anything."

Caleb got to April's house after going to the grocery store. He went to her room and gently woke her.
April startled and hit him.
Caleb grunted. "It is just me."
April quickly sat up and grabbed her head. "Caleb, I am so sorry."
Caleb handed her a can of ginger ale. "It is okay. How are you feeling?"
April was shivering. "I'm okay. Where are the boys?"
"At Bobby's house. Ian is asleep on Bobby and Taylor and Kate are watching Andy." Caleb said.
April pulled her blanket up. "I can get them."
"If you want me to, I'll go get them but Ian looked pretty comfortable before I left." Caleb said. "He told me to come back here and check on you."
April grimaced when she drank the ginger ale. "I can't get warm. I'm so cold."
Caleb felt of her head. "You are running a fever. Here, take this and I'll bring you something warm to drink."
April was embarrassed that she was so helpless.
Caleb made her some tea and brought it back. "Hey, why are you crying?"
April shook her head and looked away from Caleb. She wrapped her arms around herself and shivered uncontrollably.
Caleb put the tea down. He hesitantly climbed into the bed beside her and wrapped his arms around her.
April relaxed as Caleb provided some warmth. "I think I'm just really tired."
"You have been breaking down lately." Caleb said. He pulled another blanket over to them. "You have every reason to. Can you tell me why?"
April bit her lip. "There is no way to explain it without sounding stupid."
Caleb squeezed her. "Just try."
April leaned her head back against his chest and rubbed his hand. "Steven messed me up. I still struggle with the lies he put into my head. He made me think I was crazy and that I was needy. You are amazing. You are kind and so good with the boys. Half of me is afraid that I am misunderstanding you. Part of me is so happy that I finally have someone good to be around. I don't want to assume things that aren't true. Then, I'm scared to let my guard down because of what Steven did."
Caleb ran his hand up her back to the back of her neck. He rubbed the base of her skull and chose his words carefully. "That isn't stupid. I'd love to stay here. Andy and Ian are great. Are you wondering if I want to make this... official? Right now I'm just some guy sleeping on your couch. I'm not going to push you either way. You deserve a chance to make the first move."
April blew her nose. "Do you want to?"
Caleb smiled. "Absolutely. I'll still need to hunt sometimes but I want to stay."
April coughed and held her head. "This isn't romantic."
Caleb chuckled. "It is real life."
They talked until April couldn't hold her head up.
Caleb scooted down so that he was lying beside her, letting her rest her head on his arm. He took in the moment and smiled. This was real life. This was his life.

Taylor helped Andy stand on a large rock. "The water is really cold so be careful."
Andy looked at the pond. "Maybe we could ice skate."
Kate shook her head. "We would go to a skating rink for that. We have no way of knowing how thick the ice is out here."
"Oh." Andy said. He tossed a rock onto the ice. He grinned. "That sounds awesome."
"The soundwaves go through the ice and water so it sounds weird." Kate said.
Taylor threw a rock too. "Sounds like aliens."
Andy excitedly threw another rock. "Are aliens real?"
Taylor shrugged. "I have never met one."
Kate nudged Andy. "Do you think Dean is one?"
Andy's eyes crinkled at the edges. "That is funny."
Bobby messaged Taylor to check in and to make sure Andy hadn't gotten into anything. Ian's fever was spiking again and his hair was wet. Bobby sat down on the porch swing so that the cool air could help Ian's body cool down. He gently pushed the swing and wiped the sweat from his brow. The porch light flickered a few times and caught his attention. He stood up to tap it and it stopped. One day, he'd need a new light system. That one had been broken too many times.
Kate felt static electricity and looked to the sky. "Do you feel that?"
Taylor put Andy on his back. "Sometimes the air gets staticky before a lightening strike but that would be odd for this time of year."
Andy giggled and held on. "Can you run?"
Taylor acted like he was going to drop him. "I'm not a horse."
Kate headed back to the house. Weather changes could be just weather or it could be supernatural. Either way, they were safer inside. "You can pick lunch."
Andy laughed when Taylor spun around. "I want the pizza noodles!"
"Pepperoni rigatoni?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah, that!"
Bobby asked Kate to take a look at Ian again. "That fever is pretty high."
Kate took him from Bobby's arms and tried to heal him again. "Fever is the body's way of killing off viruses and stuff. They make you feel bad though."
Ian opened his eyes and looked around. He reached for Bobby again and looked toward the kitchen.
Bobby chuckled. "Are you hungry?"
Taylor got the rigatoni out and put it in the oven. He cut some berries and gave them to Bobby.
Ian ate all of the berries and was satisfied for the moment.
Kate could still feel static. "Is it supposed to storm today?"
Bobby looked at the weather report. "No."
"The air just feels weird." Kate explained.
Ian found a bit of energy and got down in the floor to play with a car that Caleb had brought in the bag. He made the motor noises and slid it across the floor.
Andy slid it back and sat down so he could play with Ian. He wished Ian was older so they could really play but at least he was cute.
Ian was happy to play until the food got warm enough to smell. He ran over to the oven and put his hands on the handle.
Bobby scooped him up. "We don't want you getting burned."
Ian fussed and tried to get out of Bobby's arms.
Bobby caught the oven door with his foot before it completely opened. That was weird. Maybe he needed to tighten the bolts. The lights flickered inside the house which put him on high alert. "Kate, take the baby."
Kate grabbed Ian and Taylor grabbed Andy. They went downstairs to the panic room just in case a demon or angel was trying to get into the house.
The lights stopped flickering. Bobby checked the house but couldn't find anything out of place. He called the kids back up and got the food out of the oven. He sat it on the counter and filled bowls for each kid.
Ian leaned forward in Kate's arms and fussed.
Kate got a better grip on him. "You'll get to eat. Hold on." She felt the static getting stronger and it caused her hair to begin to stand up.
Ian whined and continued trying to get down.
Kate sighed and let him go.
He made a beeline to the plates and was stopped by Bobby. "You are determined to burn yourself."
Ian wailed and sat down in the floor, not understanding why he couldn't eat the steaming pasta.
The lights started to flicker again and one even shattered.
Bobby looked at Ian and then at the light. He thought about the light outside and took a deep breath. "Balls."

Dean used a chair to poke at the ceiling tiles. "You know, this place could just be burnt to the ground."
John picked up a book and flipped through it. "We can't just torch every haunted building."
"The job would be more fun if we could," Dean said. He found a loose tile and pushed it out of the way. He pulled himself up and looked around the attic space. "I don't see anything up here." He sucked in a breath of air and nearly fell off the chair. "Rats. There are rats.'
John smirked and shook his head.
"Spirits stay around because they are bound or because they have unfinished business. Why is this guy still here?" Dean asked.
John stepped into the hallway after hearing a faint voice. He held his hand up and motioned for Dean to go with him.
Dean followed him to another room and saw a figure standing in the middle. It was a girl, probably a teenager. She had dark hair and she was crying. When she turned to the side, she had a prominent bump.
John took in all of the details that Dean did. Something wasn't adding up.
The girl saw them and became aggressive.
Dean hit the wall and scrambled to his feet. "Maybe Lyle wasn't our angry spirit."
The girl screamed and ran into the hallway before disappearing.
They left the building to do some more research. They'd never be able to get rid of the ghost if they didn't know who it was.
Dean looked through records of students that went to the school. He found a few teenage girls that could be their ghost. He used the computer to look up each of the names, hoping that there was a news story or yearbook photo. He found one that looked like it could be the one they saw. "Dad, check this out."
"Cora Bradley. Hold on, I think I've seen that name." He flipped through a folder and pulled out a paper. "She was a missing person. Her parents sent her to that school because she got pregnant."
"So something must have happened to her at the school." Dean said. He rubbed his face. "I don't think I want to know what happened."
They combed through more information before going back to the building.
Dean knocked on the walls of the room that Cora was in. He found one that sounded more hollow than the others.
John handed him a sledgehammer and stepped back.
Dean knocked the bricks out of the way and stepped into another room. "They must have bricked over the doorway."
John agreed. "They probably painted over it so you couldn't tell."
Dean's flashlight started to go out and he swore. The room got cold and he could hear crying.
John looked around for a light switch and found one.
Dean stumbled back when something hit him. He grabbed his stomach and groaned. "Cora, we are trying to help so maybe don't punch me."
The room got warm again and the light stopped fading.
John shrugged. "Huh, that worked."
"When Caleb and I were in that office building, the ghost was a college girl. Telling her we wanted to help kept her from throwing me through a third-story window. I think some ghosts are crying out for help and people just can't hear them."
John found some files and looked through them. "These are records. Cora's name is here. The last entry about her wasn't too long after Lyle died."
Dean checked the walls again and didn't find any weak spots. He thumped the floor with his boot until he found a loose board. He knelt down and started to pry it up.
The room got cold again and Cora returned with a vengeance.
"I think I found her remains," Dean said. He ducked so John didn't take his head off with the salt rifle. He continued to pry the boards up and found a small pit. He covered his nose with his shirt and gagged. "Yeah, found 'em."
John sat the files down and poured a salt circle around the pit. He held his light over Dean's head so he could get a better view.
Dean saw two rolls and carefully pulled back the edge of a blanket. He choked and removed more of it. He checked the other one too and said that it was not as old as the first.
John traded places with Dean. "It looks like this one has some trauma to her face and head." The body had a necklace with a 'c' on it. "This must be her." He used his knife to peel back her shirt. "There is no baby."
Dean wasn't sure if that was a relief or not. "So she had it and then someone killed her?"
John looked at her clothes. "With this amount of blood, I'm wondering if they didn't take the baby."
A strong wind whipped through the room and shattered the windows.
Dean kept his rifle poised to fire but asked John about the other body.
John moved the blanket. He could tell she was female and a teenager. That was about all he could tell.
A second ghost showed up beside Cora. Her eyes were wet with tears and she tried to lunge at Dean.
"Uh, I think we found the second person."
She also had a bump, although her body didn't.
John poured salt on both of them and jumped out of the pit. He lit a match and threw it in.
Both girls vanished in a flash of fire.
Dean coughed and brushed the circle of salt into the pit.
John grabbed the files and told Dean to get out. The fire department could handle the fire. The girls were at rest. He read through the files again as Dean drove away from the building. He remembered a police report and angrily shut the folder.
"What is it?"
"I don't think Lyle found that man with his wife. I think he found out that the school was taking babies." John said. "It wasn't uncommon for girls to go to a school like that and then come home with no baby. They'd adopt them out to some married couple. If one of them didn't want to give up their child, I bet they ended up in that pit."
Dean hit the steering wheel. "Son of a bitch."
John opened his journal and referenced notes that other hunters had made. He reorganized the papers and made sure that his theory was plausible. "Looks like the police need a tip."
Dean parked down the street from the police station and let John out.
John pulled a hood over his head and walked by the station. He dropped the file outside and quickly left the area.
Dean got a call from Kate and answered it. "Hey, what's up?"
"We may have a bit of a problem." Kate said.
Dean sighed. "What kind of problem are we talking about?" He heard Ian cry and then the phone cut out. It crackled and then he heard Kate's voice again.
"Wierd stuff... lights... when he cries." Kate said as the phone struggled to stay connected.
Dean tried to make sense of it but he couldn't. He gave John a look when he got back into the car. "Something is up."
John tried to call Bobby but couldn't get through. He felt a slight pain in his head and nodded. "They think Ian has abilities."
Dean scoffed. "What? He is not even two." He drove to the motel and gathered his stuff. He tried sending a message to Kate but she didn't send one back.
Kate pushed into John's head again and said that everything was okay.
Dean relaxed slightly. He whirled around and nearly stabbed older Kate.
She grabbed his wrist and disarmed him before he could process it. "You're getting slow."
Dean picked his knife up off the floor and put it back in its place.
"So, we have a problem."
"You are having all kinds of problems today." Dean said.
Kate tilted her head and then remembered what day it was. "Oh, Ian."
"What is wrong with Ian?" Dean asked.
Kate sighed. "I can't spoon-feed you everything. I have already given you a way to fix it. There are things I can change and things that I cannot change. In my time, there is a war. I'm going to give you an envelope. You cannot open it until the date that I wrote on it. I am trusting you."
Dean traded looks with John. "What kind of war?"
Kate was frustrated. "A supernatural one." She got a phone call and angrily answered it. "You son of a bitch."
Crowley tsked. "Now, now, there is no reason to be nasty."
Kate opened the door and yanked Crowley inside.
John and Dean both jumped up.
Crowley held his hand up. "Let's have a civil chat."
John was forced to sit down.
"If you keep showing up, I'm going to let one of them shoot you." Kate said.
"That would put a damper on the evening." Crowley said.
"Do you have it or not?" Kate asked.
Crowley held out a pendant and pulled it back when Kate reached for it. "Where is your end of the bargain?"
Kate growled and gave him a vial.
"What is that?" John demanded.
Crowley smirked. "Blood. Kate's blood to be exact."
Kate didn't have to turn around to know that both John and Dean were about to come unglued. "Go to hell, Crowley."
Crowley shoved the vial into his pocket and dusted off his hands. He chuckled and looked at John and Dean. "If a vial of blood is enough to ruffle your feathers, wait until you hear about the sweet, sweet deal, Miss Katelyn and I have." He smiled. "Bye for now."
Kate slammed the door and replaced the salt line. She put the pendant in a small bag and then remembered where she was.
John took a slow breath. "You made a deal with him?"
Kate swallowed hard. "That was out of context."
John stood up quickly. "Did you make a deal with him?"
Kate stepped back. "Stop looking at me like I'm still eleven. I am an adult."
Dean grimaced.
John grabbed her by both arms and sat her down in a chair. "I don't care how old you are. I am asking if you made a deal with a demon."
Kate sent Dean a look.
Dean was equally as angry as John but staying back.
Kate rolled her eyes and sighed. "I didn't sell my soul."
John was seething. "Did you make a deal with a demon."
Kate shrunk in the chair and grimaced. "It isn't what you are thinking. A lot happens. Rules change. Pacts are made."
"Why did you make a deal?" Dean asked.
"So others could be safe." Kate said.
John shook his head. "It doesn't matter. You don't make a deal with a demon."
Kate rolled her eyes. "Be pissed off about it. That is fine. It won't change anything. I made the deal and you yelling at me isn't going to change that."
Dean got up and put himself between John and Kate. "Let's not poke the bear. What did you trade?"
Kate glared at John. "Blood."
Dean stiffened. "Why would you do that?"
Kate didn't like being challenged over decisions she made painstakingly. "One day it will make sense. I can't explain right now."
John wasn't a fan of that answer.
"Crowley keeps the hellhounds away from our family and I keep the freaks away from the hellhounds." Kate said.
"The freaks?" Dean asked.
"Caleb never could decide on a name for them so you suggested 'Saber-toothed, scissor-handed freaks.' So we have just been calling them freaks." Kate said.
Dean nodded in approval. "It's a good name."
"Why would you keep them away from the hellhounds?" John asked.
Kate grimaced and groaned. "This is going to bite me in the ass, I know it. I can't give too much information because it will alter the timeline and in my time, we barely have a handle on the situation. Someone made a demon deal and as the time drew near, they wanted to find a way to combat the hellhounds and weasel out of the deal. They engineered a creature that could act as a guard dog. The experiment got away from them and now we have freaks."
"So why not let them kill off the hellhounds?" Dean asked.
"A hellhound is just about the only creature that can fight one of them and have a chance. Most creatures mutate once bitten. Hellhounds don't." Kate said.
"Why does Crowley need your blood?" John asked.
Kate shook her head.
"Why did you promise your blood?" John pressed.
Kate stood up and got the pendant from her pocket. "One day you'll understand." She dropped it into Dean's hand and vanished.
John growled and ran his fingers through his hair. "Dammit."
Dean looked at the pendant and then held it up to the light. "I have no idea what this is. It is the second piece of jewelry she has given me though."
Young Kate called Dean's phone and finally got through. "Hey, no emergency. Everyone is okay. We just aren't sure what to do."
Dean put her on speaker. "What is going on?"
"Ian has abilities. They are subtle but that is the only explanation for what is going on." Kate said. She walked out of the room that Andy was in. "We need to find a way to control them."
Dean felt of his back pocket and scoffed. He held up the small bracelet. "That looks like it would fit a baby."
John pinched the bridge of his nose. "It does."
"What are you talking about?" Kate asked.
"I have a bracelet that might work for him." Dean said.
Kate furrowed her brows. "Where did you get it?"
Dean skipped over her question. "Why would he have abilities?"
Kate groaned. "We have a few theories and you're not going to like the big one."
Dean sighed. "What is it?"
"Andy had abilities because of Azazel. Ian could be absorbing abilities or maybe it is genetic." Kate rambled.
"Kate, just spit it out." Dean said.
Kate pressed her forehead against the cool glass of the window. "To get a Nephilim, a human and an angel, or technically an angel possessing a human have to... you know."
Dean sighed. "Yes."
"We know that Steven was periodically possessed when they were with him. He was keeping an eye on Andy for Azazel. That being said, what if he was possessed by the demon when... you know?"
