"Kate, that is..." John didn't know what to say.
"A long shot. I know. Please don't tell Bobby." Kate said.
"We have to." John said.
"Not yet. With all the hoops we have to jump through, I don't want him to think that it is possible and then be crushed." Kate said.
John rubbed his face. "Only until Castiel figures all of this out."
Kate smiled. "Thank you."

Caleb stared at the creature in the cage. It made his blood run cold. He had flashes of memory from the basement and stepped into the hallway to get a breath.
"Are you going to be okay?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, just give me a minute." Caleb said.
Dean stepped back into the room with John. "That is one ugly son of a bitch."
"It hasn't eaten. It isn't deteriorating." John said.
Dean tapped the bars with a long stick and jumped back when the creature lunged at him. "Fast."
"It looks like it has no fat. It is just sheer muscle." John said.
Caleb entered the room. He rubbed his stomach where the creature tore into him. "Could that be the same one that.." He motioned to his abdomen.
"Maybe but there was more than one." Dean said. He furrowed his brows. "Considering how fast those things are, how did we even make it through the door. How did we make it to the window?"
"You don't know how long they were down there." John said.
"What if the ghosts had something to do with it?" Dean asked.
"Like the ghosts belonged to the bodies?" Caleb asked.
Dean shrugged. "Or they were keeping them down there."
John pulled the tranq gun out. "First shot is yours, Caleb."
Caleb loaded the tranq gun with the first vial and nodded for John to turn the light on. This would force the creature into one corner, away from the light. He pulled the trigger and smiled in satisfaction.
The creature growled and pulled the needle from its chest.
John started a timer and wrote down his notes in a notebook that Marty gave him.
"I don't think that did much." Dean said.
"It may not. We have to give it time." John said.

Kate put her cast back on her arm and fastened it.
Taylor helped her with the sling and smeared a little bit of graphite around her eyes to mimic a bruise that was healing.
"You look like you got into a fight." Bobby said with a chuckle.
Kate scrunched her nose. "I want to figure out how this healing thing works. Pain sucks but sometimes it does this and I have to fake being hurt so people don't ask questions."
"You healed slowly when your brain was scrambled," Taylor said.
"When you heal, are you focusing on what needs to heal?"
Taylor shrugged. "Kind of."
"So stop hitting your head." Bobby said.
Kate smiled. "Excellent advice."
Ellie squealed when she saw Kate. "You're back!"
Kate hugged her with one arm. "Apparently all of this won't keep me out of school."
Ellie pulled a marker from her backpack. She frowned. "I wanted to be the first to sign it."
"You'll be the first girl to sign it. None of these count." Kate said and pointed to the signatures of Dean and Taylor.
Ellie signed her name on Kate's cast and added a smiley face beside it. "There. Why is it gray?"
Dean had told Kate why he chose gray and it made her happy. He knew her well. "Gray goes with everything."
"I would have chosen pink or purple." Ellie said.
"I was not awake when the choice was made." Kate said. She was welcomed by several students and her teachers were extra nice to her. She was slightly uncomfortable with all of the attention but she pushed the discomfort down.
Ellie insisted on carrying Kate's lunch tray and drink.
"Ellie, I've still got one good arm." Kate said. She put up with the pampering but was glad to see Bobby waiting outside at the end of the day. She peeled the cast off of her arm and flexed her wrist. "Much better."
"Are they back yet?" Taylor asked.
"No. They are making a day of it." Bobby said.
Kate was dying to know the results of the trials. Being around Bobby was awkward because she was still working with Cas on the time stuff. She wanted to tell Bobby but it would hurt him more if it wasn't possible.
April picked Andy up from school and walked back to the apartment. "How was school?"
"It was good. Owen gave me these cookies that his mom made." Andy said.
"That was sweet of them." April said with a smile.
Andy ran up the steps and waited for April to unlock the door. "Can I have one now?"
April thought about it. "You can have one. Just one."
Andy put his backpack on the table and unzipped it. He pulled the bag of cookies out and removed one from the plastic bag. He broke off a small bit and gave it to Ian.
Ian shoved the cookie in his mouth and reached for the bag.
Andy moved the bag away.
Ian started fussing and reached again.
April moved him back. "No more right now."
Ian sat on the floor and cried.
Andy sat beside him and patted his back. "I know it is sad. We can have dinner and then I'll give you a whole cookie." He got up to grab one of his cars and gave it to Ian.
April leaned against the counter and watched them. Andy was doing better with his behavior. He was a good big brother, even on his bad days. She just hoped it lasted.
"When is Caleb coming home?" Andy asked.
"I'm not sure, buddy." April said. "Should we order pizza?"
Andy smiled. "Yes. Can we get garlic dip too?"
"Of course." April said. She called the pizza place and ordered for delivery. She looked through Andy's backpack for homework and saw a note from his teacher. "Did you and Owen get into trouble today?"
Andy gave her sad eyes. "Just a tiny bit."
April read the note so she knew what happened but asked him anyway. "What did you do?"
"Drew on the bathroom mirror with soap." Andy said. He studied his shoes.
"Did you have to sit out during recess?" April asked.
"Yes, and we cleaned the mirror." Andy said.
"Let's make better choices next time." April said. She put the note on the table and patted Andy's arm.
Andy promised he'd make better choices. "I'm not in home trouble too?"
"Did you mean to hide the note?" April asked.
"No, mama. I was going to tell you." He looked at the floor. "I was a little distracted by cookies."
April smiled. "Okay, you're a good kid. So is Owen."
Andy was glad that his mom wasn't mad. "Is Owen in trouble?"
April couldn't be sure. Jody was the sweetest person so she wasn't sure how things worked at their house. "I can call her." She called Jody and asked her about the note that was sent home.
Jody chuckled. "They've been friends for a while now. I'm surprised this is the first time they teamed up."
April was only slightly worried that Jody would consider Andy a bad influence. "Andy is worried that Owen will be in additional trouble."
Jody smiled. "That is sweet. No, now, if they try to burn down a barn, I can't promise I won't be mad."
April laughed. "Those boys are lucky you were the one that picked them up."
"Taylor looked higher than a kite. Kids around here get bored. It might be a right of passage to get arrested at least once." Jody said.
"I'll pass that information along to Dean." April said.
"Tell Andy that he has nothing to worry about." Jody said.

Most of the vials had no visible reaction on the creature.
"How do we plan to shock it?" Dean asked.
John tapped the bars. "I don't think a taser it is going to work. Wet the ground and use the water to shock it."
Dean and Caleb filled buckets with water and poured them into the cage.
John stripped a wire and carefully placed the tip into the water.
The creature screeched as the electricity traveled through its feet.
John pulled the wire out and watched the reaction.
The creature's arms and legs grew stiff and it fell face first into the water.
John started the timer again. "30 seconds give or take."
The creature slowly got up and lunged at the bars.
"Huh, well that is something." Dean said.
"It recovers faster than a human would but I'd say that worked." John said. He touched the wire to the bar, causing the creature to fall and go stiff.
"If nothing else, it is entertaining." Caleb said. He looked at his watch. "I should be getting home."
Dean smirked. "The missus expects you home?"
Caleb shoved him. "As a matter of fact, she does."
John chuckled. "We can pick this up another day."
Kate was sitting at the kitchen table pouring over another page that Cas had given her. She had told Taylor about the vision's meaning and it was beginning to paint a clear picture. She ran her fingers over a raised portion and got an idea. She used a knife to poke her finger and held it over the page so the drops would fall onto the raised area. She jumped and flailed, knocking the paper onto the ground and stumbling back. "Uh, hi."
Cas had brought everyone back to Sioux Falls and Dean was outside helping Taylor with something. John was light on his feet for a man of his stature. "Kate."
Kate put a hand over her chest to calm her heart. "Where did you come from?"
"Kate." John said again.
Kate wiped the blood from her finger onto her pants leg.
"Pick up the paper and show me what you were doing." John said.
Kate picked the paper up. "It has these ridges."
"Why is there blood on the paper?" John asked.
Kate sighed. "It is just a few drops."
John turned her around and tucked her against his hip. He landed a sharp swat with each syllable he spoke. "Do. Not. Use. Your. Blood. With. Out. Asking. An. Adult. It doesn't matter how many drops it is. Am. I. Understood?"
Kate sucked in a breath of air. "Yes, sir."
John let her go and gave her a stern look.
Kate rubbed at the sting. "That sentence was way longer than it needed to be."
John raised an eyebrow.
Kate swallowed hard. "I mean your point is very clear."
John shook his head. "I am going to leave soon. You had better not go back to using your blood."
Kate licked her lips. "I'm not. It was like two drops."
"That is why I just swatted you." John said.
Kate was sure his hand was made out of steel. "I understand."
John pointed to the paper. "Show me what you are working on."
Kate looked at the lines the blood had filled. "There is something written behind the letters."
John looked at the paper. Where the blood had touched, it was easier to see the areas that the blood did not cover. "Is it written with a type of wax?"
Kate shrugged. "I hadn't gotten that far."
"Use paint or coffee. Do not use your blood." John said.
Kate eyed the coffee pot. She poured some into a cup and used a paintbrush to paint the paper. "It is a symbol."
"We can ask Castiel about it." John said. He put a comforting hand on Kate's back. "If your blood is possibly part of this spell, it could react with anything that you mix with it. Even if you are using a drop, it could have other effects than hurting you."
Kate scoffed. "You could have just said that."
John sighed. "Kate."
"I know, stop while I'm ahead," Kate said with a small smile.
"There you go." John said.
Taylor joined them. "How is it looking? Is that blood?"
Kate's face turned red.
Taylor looked from John to Kate and cringed. "What did you find?"
"There is a symbol hidden behind the writing... which can be seen when you use... coffee to bring out the writing." Kate said.
"See if Castiel will come tonight. If not, you can talk to him. If the 27th is an important date, you still have time." John said.
Dean was also privy to the 'time plan' although he didn't understand half of it. "Bobby needs to know."
"Not yet." Kate said. "This is a big fat 'if'. How would you feel if you thought your mom could come back and then it was just a long shot?"
Dean sighed. "I think he should know before it is done."
"I think we all agree on that. I just want to figure out if this is possible before getting his hopes up." Kate said.
Dean looked at John. "Remember when we were shocked when she healed herself the first time?"
John nodded. "Time has changed a lot."

John went back to hunting. As much as he wanted to take more time with the kids, he couldn't shut off the hunter side of his brain. He didn't stray too far from Sioux Falls so that he could make it back if the plan got put into motion.
Kate and Taylor worked with Castiel and clarified lines and details that could be important. Kate was excited by the idea but didn't want to put Karen's soul in harm's way.
Dean took a few hunts as well but like John, didn't stray far from Bobby's house.
Kate and Taylor babysat Andy and Ian at Bobby's house so that Caleb and April could go out for Valentine's day.
Dean got to celebrate with Lacy as well.
Bobby didn't mind the kids being at his house. Ian was his little buddy and easy to deal with. Boppa had gotten shortened to Bop and that was fine with Bobby.
Andy was giddy and silly as soon as he got there.
"What has you so excited?" Taylor asked.
Andy grabbed his hand and pulled him into the bathroom. "I saw something."
Taylor sat down on the side of the tub. "What did you see?"
"Caleb had a box that was really little. I looked inside of it." Andy said. He fidgeted. "It has a ring in it."
Taylor's eyes grew wide. "What kind?"
"It was pretty." Andy said.
"When did you see that?" Taylor asked.
Andy grinned. "This morning."
Taylor put a finger over his mouth. "Shh, that is a big secret. Make sure no one else hears about it."
Andy tilted his head.
"It is a happy secret. You don't want to accidentally tell your mom and ruin the surprise."
Andy nodded. "I didn't mean to find out about it."
Taylor chuckled. "You did open something that you had no business opening."
Andy gasped. "You won't tell Caleb, right?"
"No. Just don't make it a habit. Next time it could be something that isn't good." Taylor said. Taylor did tell Kate about the ring and asked her to compel Andy to be calm about it. "He is so excited but I think he's going to pass out."
Kate held Andy's hand and told him to remain calm. She was excited for them but knew that an overly excited kid could land themself in trouble.

April had never been on what most would consider a date. She'd never gotten the chance to dress up and go somewhere nice. This was all new to her. The restaurant that Caleb took her to was beautiful. She felt out of place and like everyone was looking at her.
Caleb put a hand on her lower back. "I asked for a booth in the back corner."
April looked up at him.
The waiter showed them to their table and left them to look at the menus.
"Why the back corner?" April asked.
Caleb smiled. "Hunter's habit. I don't like anyone behind my back but I also know that you don't want people watching you. So, you are blocked off from most of the other people."
April looked around her. There were two other tables in her view. One was empty and the other had an elderly couple. She sighed. "I'm sorry."
Caleb furrowed his brows. "Why? I'd have chosen this seat anyway. It is okay to have needs and preferences."
April thought about that sentence. She always felt needy. Steven made her feel needy. Yet, here Caleb was, telling her that it was okay.
"I don't think you would be upset with me for wanting to have my back to the wall. Why would I be upset that you feel more comfortable out of sight?" Caleb asked.
"You are right." April said.
Caleb grinned. "I know."
April started to feel more comfortable. Caleb had that effect. She opened the menu and the prices made her a little sick.
Caleb tapped the top of the menu to get her attention. "Don't worry about the prices."
April looked at him. "How do you know?"
Caleb smirked. "I could see it on your face. Marie sent us a card with some money in it. I've been instructed to treat you to a nice night out and be prepared for an earful if the night is anything less than spectacular."
April smiled. "I like Marie."
"She is fond of you too." Caleb said.
April fully relaxed and enjoyed the meal. She held onto Caleb's hand as they walked down the sidewalk, to a courtyard with a fountain and lights.
Caleb handed her a coin. "Make a wish."
April smiled and tossed the coin into the fountain. She leaned her head on Caleb's arm and watched the water flow.
Caleb's nerves were getting to him. He fidgeted with the box in his jacket pocket and looked around. They were pretty much alone. He found a bench and got her to sit down.
April wasn't sure what he was doing but her breath hitched. "Caleb?"
Caleb didn't go for the 'down on one knee' bit because it would draw too much attention for April to feel comfortable. He took both of her hands. "I had this all planned out in my head and it all seems silly now."
"What are you talking about?" April asked.
Caleb squeezed her hands. "When Dean and I were attacked, I knew that I wasn't going to make it out of that driveway. I was calm about it and kind of accepted it. Then, I woke up in the bunker. It took me a while to get my head around what happened. I was single and didn't really have any family. That is part of why I just accepted my fate. Once I was back on my feet, I got a little depressed over everything. The hunting life is lonely and I didn't have much going for me. Then, I met you and the boys. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I felt something I hadn't felt before and I didn't know what to do with it. None of it was planned but I love what I have stumbled into."
April touched the side of his face for a moment. "Are you okay?"
Caleb smiled. "Yes, here." He said and pulled the box from his jacket. "What I am trying to say is I love you and I don't want any of this to go away."
April flicked her eyes from the box to Caleb's eyes. "Are you?"
Caleb nodded and opened the box.
April threw her arms around him and squeezed. "Oh my gosh! Yes!"
Caleb laughed. "I haven't asked you anything yet."
April held her hand out. "Ask me then."
Caleb kissed her. "Will you marry me?"
April grinned. "Yes!"
Caleb's shoulders relaxed. He put the ring on her finger and kissed her again.
"Did you think I would say no?" April asked.
Caleb blushed. "Well, no. I had hoped you would say yes but I didn't ask at the restaurant because you don't like too much attention."
April hugged him again. "It fits perfectly."
Caleb grinned sheepishly. "I measured your finger when you were sleeping."
The ring was unique. The gem wasn't a diamond. "What is this?"
"Moonstone," Caleb said. "Rod made it."
April turned her hand over to view the entirety of the ring.
"It is two bands twisted together. One is silver and the other is iron." Caleb said.
April smiled. "To use against ghosts and shifters?"
Caleb smiled back at her. "Well, something like that. I thought it meant more than a store bought band."
"I love it." April said. She ran her finger over the moonstone center and leaned her head on Caleb. She was completely shocked that he proposed but it felt right.
Caleb stiffened slightly.
"What is wrong?" April asked.
Caleb sighed. "When you ran, you changed your names. You put a lot of thought into that. You'll be April Fisher, I was wondering if you would mind if I adopted the boys."
April whipped her head around. "Would I mind?! Caleb, that would be amazing."
Caleb smiled brightly. "I didn't think Andy would take it well if I didn't."
"Oh, he is going to be over the moon." April said.
"I think he already knows." Caleb said with a chuckle. "When I was getting ready I think he found the ring. He gave me the biggest hug that he claimed was for no reason."
"Oh, Andy." April said.
"It is okay. At least he was happy about it."
"Of course he was. He loves you. When you take your jacket off, you do it in a specific way. He has started doing it the same way."
Caleb furrowed his eyebrows. "I take it off normally."
April smiled. "You twist your wrist when you go to hang it up. Kind of like spinning a ballerina."
Caleb put his arm around her. "Do you want to stop by the house before picking the boys up?"
April shot off the bench and grabbed Caleb's hand.
He laughed. "I'll take that as a yes."
### ###
It was getting late and although Kate compelled him, Andy was antsy. He was staring out the window, willing Caleb's truck to show up in the driveway.
"Do you want to make a card for them?" Kate asked.
"Won't that get me in trouble?" Andy asked.
Kate gave him a wink. "I'm psychic. If they ask how you knew, I'll just say I had a vision."
Andy grinned. "I'm going to draw our family."
Taylor went to look for Ian and found him asleep on Bobby. Bobby seemed to be asleep too, leaning back in his chair. Taylor hoped that the plan worked and Karen got to come back. Bobby did so much for so many people and it was the best gift he could possibly get. He backed out of Bobby's office and messaged Caleb to ask when they were heading back.
Dean knew that Caleb was going to propose. He was happy for them. He loved Lacy but didn't see himself settling down like that for a while. Lacy was simple. She didn't mind when he was gone for weeks at a time. After the birthday trip, they both agreed that they should spend Valentine's day at Lacy's house.
Sam, on the other hand, could see himself marrying Jess. They were both incredibly young though. He also didn't think John would be overly happy about it.
Caleb got the message from Taylor and chuckled. "We are wanted at Bobby's house."
April got dressed again and smoothed her hair down. She smiled. "Andy is going to freak out."
Kate gently clouded Andy's memory so that he could enjoy the good news. He'd remember he knew afterward but the surprise wouldn't be ruined.
Andy saw headlights and waved through the window.
Ian and Bobby woke up from their cat nap and Ian signed for 'food' letting Bobby' know he was hungry.
Andy smooshed his face against the glass and giggled when Caleb tapped the window.
Taylor let them in. "Hey, Bobby, Caleb and April are back."
Bobby carried Ian into the living room and welcomed them in.
They chatted briefly but April wanted to share the news.
Caleb sat down on the couch and motioned for April to sit down too. "Andy, we want to talk to you."
Andy hesitated but walked over.
"How would you feel if me and your mom got married?" Caleb asked.
Andy gasped. "Forever?"
Caleb chuckled. "Yes."
Andy jumped up and down. "Can you?"
April smiled and showed Andy the ring on her finger.
Caleb put his hands on Andy's shoulders to get him to calm down. "Hold on. After we get married, I want to adopt you and Ian."
Andy froze and started crying before wrapping his arms around Caleb's neck. "You promise?"
Caleb rubbed his back. "If that is okay with you." He wasn't expecting Andy to break down.
Andy sniffled and locked his arms around Caleb's neck. "You'll be my dad?"
"Yep, officially. You'll even have my last name." Caleb said.
Andy let go of Caleb and hugged April. "Can we do that, mom?"
"Of course." April said.
Kate touched Andy's arm to fix his memory.
Andy jumped back. "I have a card!"
Caleb laughed. "He has a card?"
Taylor told both of them congratulations and explained what happened with Andy.
"I wanted him to be as excited as he was when he told Taylor." Kate said. She hugged each of them also congratulated them.
Bobby clapped on the back. "Well, son, you did well for yourself."
Andy returned with the card and handed it to April. "I drew our family but now we are a real family."
Caleb grabbed Andy in a gentle headlock and tickled him. "Why is the Caleb one chunky?"
Andy laughed and tried to wiggle away from the tickling. "He has a jacket!"
Caleb stopped tickling him and righted him. "I love it. You did a really good job."
April hugged him. "We can frame it."
Bobby caught himself smiling and rubbed his face. He remembered the day that he proposed to Karen. He was a nervous wreck and he didn't even get the whole question out before Karen said yes. Part of his heart was warmed from the memory and the other part ached because he missed her. She was missing so many things that she would have loved.
### ###
A week went by and the moon looked less like a crescent each day. If the 'spell' was going to be successful, it would need to be done the 27th. Castiel found the rest of the information that he could find and helped Kate with the plan.
"All he is going to do is let me talk to her." Kate said.
"How do you get to heaven? Is this something that you are going to have to die temporarily for?" John asked.
"He will pull my consciousness but I will remain in my body and alive." Kate said.
"It has to be done ahead of time so we can see if Karen even wants to do it." Taylor said.
John and Dean had found every flaw in the plan they could and each flaw had been remedied. "I am uncomfortable with you going alone."
"Taylor can go with me and Castiel will be there." Kate said.
Dean's phone was on speaker. "I could go with them."
That made John feel a little better.
Bobby noticed most things so keeping him out of the loop was difficult.
The first trip was done at April and Caleb's apartment so that Caleb could pull them out if need be.
"How am I supposed to yank you out of there?" Caleb asked.
Castiel gave him three syringes. "This will increase their heart rate and they will wake up."
"They won't be dead though, right?" Caleb clarified.
"No." Kate said. "Have you ever had a dream that you fell off of a cliff and you wake up with your heart racing? That is what it would be like."
Caleb rubbed his face. "Okay, where do I jab this?"
Kate poked Dean's leg and used a chalk marker to put an x on his thigh. "There." She did the same for herself and for Taylor.
Caleb was capable of performing his duties but he really didn't want to. "How long will you be out?"
Cas handed him a timer. "If this goes off and they aren't back, use the syringes."
Kate gasped. "Oh!" She looked at the dosages and used tape to label each one with an initial. "If you give me Dean's dose, I would be in bad shape."
Castiel looked at the time. "If this is to be done, we must go now."
Kate laid down on Andy's bed and moved over so Taylor could lay beside her.
Dean did the same but on top of a mat on the floor.
Castiel touched each of their heads before disappearing.
Caleb started the timer and waited.
(In heaven)
Kate grabbed Dean's arm. "Whoa."
Dean felt woozy. "I've got to stop traveling like this."
Taylor cleared his throat. "Are we at Bobby's house?"
"Heaven isn't like the movies." Cas said. "Each individual has their own personal heaven. This belongs to Karen Singer."
Kate thought that was sweet. The sun was out and it was clearly summer or spring. A rottweiler ran up to them and rolled over for belly scratches.
Dean crouched down and rubbed the dog's belly. "Rumsfeld. This old guy was around when we were kids."
Kate scratched his ears. "I don't think I remember him."
Dean smiled. "Bobby would be glad to know he's up here."
Kate looked up at the house. "I guess we ring the doorbell."
Dean pushed the button to ring the doorbell and stepped back.
Karen opened the door, startled to have visitors. "Uh, hi."
Kate stepped forward. "You are Karen Singer, right?"
Karen smiled. "Yes I am. And you are?"
Kate held out her hand. "Kate. This is Taylor and that is Dean."
Karen was puzzled. "It has been so long since we have had visitors. What can I do for you?"
Dean put a hand on Kate's shoulder. "We were hoping to talk to you."
Karen welcomed them inside. The house was clean and bright. The smell of pie radiated from the kitchen and music was playing softly in the background. Instead of books on vampires and demons, the shelves that would have been in Bobby's office were lined with photographs and knickknacks.
Kate knew they were on a time crunch. "We have something pretty important to talk to you about."
Karen motioned for them to sit down.
Taylor looked around. "Where is Bobby?"
Karen smiled warmly. "I sent him to the store. I'm making a roast for our anniversary but ran out of sweet potatoes. "
Castiel appeared behind the sofa.
Karen jumped. "Who are you?"
Castiel touched her head. "An angel." That gave Karen enough understanding to move beyond pleasantries and straight to the important stuff.
"You are in heaven. Do you remember dying?" Kate asked.
Karen looked confused for a moment and then started to remember. The lights in the house dimmed and the music stopped. "I couldn't control my body. Bobby, is he okay? Did I kill him?"
"Bobby is okay. Well, he's grumpy but it is kind of endearing." Dean said.
They tried to give Karen a brief recap of everything that transpired after she died.
"He has been like an uncle to us. He basically raised my younger brother and me." Dean said. "He hunts but has settled down a little because Kate and Taylor came along."
Karen couldn't imagine Bobby with four kids in the house. He never wanted kids. "What happened to your parents?"
Kate sighed. "A demon killed Sam and Dean's mom and their dad hunts. My mom died when I was a baby. The same demon killed her and their mom. My dad hunted too but he died a while back. I have been staying at Bobby's house and then Dean's dad adopted me."
Taylor took over. "I didn't know my biological dad but he was a hunter too. I didn't find out about him until years later. The man that I thought was my dad murdered my mom and now he's dead too. Dean's dad also adopted me."
Karen was blown away by the three young people in front of her. "I am so sorry."
"We can't go back and change it." Kate said. "There is so much that we don't have time to cover. Taylor and I have abilities." She sighed. "We can explain all of that but first we want to ask you if you want to go back."
Karen furrowed her eyebrows.
"Here, Bobby is just part of your heaven. On earth, he never moved on. If you go back, it won't be sunshine and rainbows but you'll be with the real Bobby." Taylor said.
"If you decide you want to stay here, you won't remember any of this and you will go back to your anniversary dinner." Kate said.
Karen rubbed her arms. "Why would you bring me back? Is that even possible?"
Cas touched her head to give her understanding about the plan.
Karen blinked. "Do I have time to think about it?"
Kate gave her a sad smile. "Yes. We would return in a few days."
Karen slowly nodded. "Thank you."
They left the house not knowing if she would say yes or no. It was nerve-wracking but they had done all they could do.
Caleb shot out of his chair when Dean and Taylor sat up. "You're back?"
Kate gave Castiel a folded piece of paper. "This is it. You know what to do with it."
Castiel studied her. "Is it wise to hide this from them?"
Kate chewed her thumbnail. "Probably not but I have to."
Castiel touched her head. "I'll be in touch."
Kate sat up with a gasp and rubbed her eyes.
Dean touched her arm. "What took you so long?"
Kate shrugged. "I stopped to pet the dog."
