Author's notes. Just want to thank you for the reviews again. I feel like I should say it with every chapter but those are what fuels me to write more.

Caleb got to the hospital and bypassed the front desk to go to April's room. He was so glad to see that she was awake. He sat down on her bed. "How are you feeling?"

April gave him a small smile. "Better."

He kissed her forehead. "What happened? What have the doctors said?"

"My blood sugar just dropped." April said.

"It has been doing that more lately. What did you have for dinner?" Caleb asked.

April gave him a worried look.

"Did you eat?" Caleb asked. He rubbed his face. "April, you know your blood sugar drops like this. Why didn't you eat something?"

April sat up a little. "I just forgot."

"What about the stuff that the doctor gave you?" Caleb asked.

April grimaced. "I ran out."

"When? Why didn't you tell me? We could have gotten more." Caleb said. He saw April's body language change and reached out to touch the side of her face. He frowned when she flinched. "No, no. I'm worried. I'm not angry. Don't flinch."

April relaxed a little.

Caleb moved closer to her so he could put his arms around her. "I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't walk in here and start firing questions at you. I was just scared. Please don't flinch. I would never hit you."

Bobby had been silent but cleared his throat. "He knows I'd shoot him if he did."

Caleb turned his head. "Exactly. I also wouldn't because I'm not a dirtbag."

Bobby nodded. "Hell, even if he just makes you sad, I'd consider shooting him for you."

April chuckled. "Thanks Bobby." She rested her head on Caleb. "It was just a habit. I know you wouldn't hit me."

Caleb let out a breath of air. "Good.

"We don't really have insurance. I know I need to see a doctor again but it is so expensive." April said.

"We have the money for that." Caleb said. "I wonder if this is something Kate could fix."

"It wouldn't hurt to try." Bobby said. He slowly stood up. "I should probably go to your house. Karen is shaken over that picture."

Caleb asked what he meant.

"My sister, Elizabeth, is also Karen's sister, Lauren. At least, we think so." April said.

Caleb blinked slowly. "How?"

"We haven't gotten that far." Bobby said. "Karen just recognized her from a photo and called to ask April about it. They have the same scars and birthmarks."

Caleb tried to process the new information. "Huh, I guess you are uncle Bobby after all."

Bobby snorted. "That is better than grandpa Bobby." He patted April's hand. "You get to feeling better. Karen and I will take care of the boys. If you are here overnight, we might take them back to our house but don't worry. If Caleb annoys you too much just let me know." He gave her a wink.

"You should feel special. He's never offered to shoot anyone for me." Caleb said with a smile.

April laid back. "I think I'm safe with you."

Caleb messaged his boss to update him and then sat his phone down.

April's blood sugar kept trying to drop so they did keep her overnight.

Bobby called Karen and told her what was going on.

Karen wrapped Ian in a warm blanket and carried him to the car. "We don't have a seat for him."

Bobby sighed. "I'll drive slow."

Andy woke up when Bobby picked him up. "Where is my mom?"

"She is at the hospital. Caleb is there and they were joking around when I left. She's okay. You are just going to spend the night at my house." Bobby said.

Andy told him to get Ian's bag. He grabbed his own. Caleb had taught him how to pack a 'go bag' and he and Ian both had one. He got into the backseat of the car and saw Ian sleeping. By the time they got to Bobby's house, Andy was barely awake.

Karen got the boys inside and changed into pajamas.

Bobby grabbed a sleeping mat and placed it on the floor of the bedroom. The house wasn't exactly kid-friendly and they didn't need Ian waking up and tumbling down the stairs.

Andy laid down beside Ian and shared a blanket with him. He didn't want Ian to wake up and be scared because he didn't know where he was.

Karen put another blanket over them. She smiled when Millie climbed on top of Andy and laid on his hip. "Bobby." She whispered. "Are they not the sweetest?"

Bobby smiled. He let Liam into the room as well. While he regretted breaking Karen's heart by not giving her the children she so desperately wanted, he felt less guilty knowing that she could enjoy seeing the boys grow up.

Missouri looked at the books while she drank her coffee. "These are from Mary's family?"

"Yes." John said.

Missouri put a book on the table. "What was it like, John?"

"Heaven?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Well, I guess each heaven is different. Karen's was one of their anniversaries. For Mary, she was at the old house. Sam and Dean were still small. She was happy." John said.

Missouri was fascinated. The books held some type of psychic energy the same way that artifacts did.

Kate showed Missouri the drawing that she had found in the crevice. "I haven't shown anyone yet."

Missouri unrolled the drawing and smoothed the edges. It was a drawing of a baby with blonde wisps of hair and blue eyes. Kate could draw in detail. Young Mary drew like a typical kid of that age. The date on the side suggested that she was seven or so when she drew it. "Why haven't you shown the boys?"

Kate sighed. The baby in the drawing had a poorly drawn toy beside it and a yellow blanket with what could have been flowers on it. She motioned for Missouri to follow her. She handed Missouri the drawing and tapped John. "Do you remember the night that you found me?"

"Of course," John said. He wouldn't be able to scrub that night from his memory, no matter how hard he tried.

"I mean, do you remember details?" Kate asked.

"I think so. Why? What's up?" John asked.

"You said that you wrapped me in a blanket. What color was the blanket?" Kate asked.

John thought back to that night. He just grabbed a blanket and covered her with it to protect her from the fire and smoke. "Yellow, I think."

Kate gave Missouri a look. She held her hand out for the drawing. "This was rolled up and hidden away in that room."

John took the drawing to get a better look at it. It could have been a drawing of any baby. Mary always wanted kids. It was common for little girls to draw babies. If they had not encountered the things they had, he would have thought it was just a generic drawing. "Do you think this is you?"

Kate shrugged. "A yellow blanket is pretty specific. If it was pink I wouldn't really think that much about it."

John wasn't sure how he felt about Mary having that kind of ability. Could she have known what was going to happen?

Missouri looked at some of the other drawings. "It looks like all of these were done while she was very young."

Dean was thinking the same things that John was. "Why didn't she tell you when you visited?"

"I don't know, son." John said.

Kate organized the drawings by date. "Did she tell you things that she thought would upset you?"

"Yes." John said. "She told me about the deal with Azazel, although that wasn't her fault."

"So, what if she didn't know that she had an ability?" Kate said. "Sam didn't know he had one. I didn't either. At first, it all just seems like dreams. If you drew something when you were six, would you remember and connect it like that?"

"Maybe not." John said.

Kate nodded. "Not all of these have dates on them so I can't be certain. Based on the drawing style, it looks like these crayon ones stopped around or before she turned ten."

"Maybe she ran out of crayons." Dean said.

"No, there were a variety of paints, crayons, and pencils in the room." Kate explained. She left the room and laid the drawings on the kitchen table. Once they were all flat on the table she pointed to the top row. "When I have a vision, the lighting is different sometimes. If something bad is about to happen, the sky gets dark. Other times I can see colors that I can't see when I'm awake." She moved two of the drawings above the others in that row. "These two look different. She used a yellow coloring pencil or something so that there is a glow around it. The baby drawing and the drawing of the four of you guys is the same." She picked out a few more drawings. "This one has a red hue behind it."

John squinted his eyes.

Dean cleared his throat. "I don't know, that paper looks pretty white to me."

Kate sighed and traced her finger around the outline of the baby's face. "See, she made it look like there is light behind the baby."

Missouri put a gentle hand on Kate's shoulder. "Sweetie, there is no yellow light behind that."

Kate could clearly see it. "Taylor?"

Taylor shrugged. "I see what you are talking about." He picked up another paper on the bottom row. "There is red around this one too. It is just darker than the other one."

Kate studied it. "You are right, this other one might be orange."

Missouri, Dean, and John traded looks.

"You really don't see the colors?" Kate asked. "Missouri, not even you?"

"I have an idea of what you are describing but I don't see it on that page." Missouri said.

"The orbs." Kate said. "Uh, at the stream, there are orbs in the water. They are memories I guess. They glow like this."

Taylor helped her reorganize the pages. "There aren't any glowing ones after the crayon drawings stop."

"So maybe she only had visions when she was little. It could have been because she was around someone or something that was causing them or could be that she outgrew it. Another possibility is that she didn't outgrow it but her dad would have reacted poorly so she ignored it. I don't think she hid it from you in heaven though." Kate said.

"There may be something in those journals." Dean added.

Kate smirked. "I vote we skip school Monday to focus on this new development."

"How about no," Dean said.

"Lame." Kate said.

Once they got back to the storage unit, they only needed to gather a few more things and check for anywhere that could be hiding extra secrets.

John noticed Kate and Taylor talking quietly by themselves and wondered what they were up to. "I think we are good down here. I don't think much would be upstairs in the house but we could check."

Kate wrote a detailed note just in case any of the Campbell family stopped in and wondered why things were missing. She, after talking to Dean and John, added an explanation that wasn't exactly true but it was believable. She said that Mary's sons had taken a photo out of a frame after it broke. They found the coordinates and code for the cellar on the back of the picture. They couldn't really tell people that they visited heaven and got the information that way.

John put the lock back on the door and sent Dean to check the house for wires. Kate and Taylor were still sharing whispers. After Kate got into the back of the truck and searched through boxes, he had a general idea of what they were doing.

Dean stepped back outside. "The house is free of traps." He turned to go back inside and yelled. "Son of a bitch!" He blinked and spun the other way.

John stepped inside. "What is the matter with you?"

"Uh, nothing." Dean said.

Kate and Taylor entered the house behind John. "I don't think I'd call this a house."

"It used to be something," Dean said. He opened a cabinet. "Plenty of salt." He saw something at the corner of his eye and whipped his head around.

John raised his eyebrows at Kate and Taylor but smirked and shook his head.

Dean grabbed the large boxes of salt and placed them on the rickety table. He opened a door next to the kitchen and sneezed. He turned his flashlight on and saw jars. "It looks like someone liked to can."

Taylor poked his head inside the pantry. "If this was a safe house, it is probably like the bunker. Shelf-stable food is a good idea."

Dean crouched and found some boxes on the bottom shelf. He placed his flashlight beside him and pulled one out. "This looks like emergency supplies."

John asked him to bring it to the table. He looked through the box. "I don't think we could use most of it." He pulled out a few things like clamps and scalpels that were in sealed packages.

Dean walked back into the pantry and his flashlight flickered. He picked it up and smacked it against his hand. He'd just get new batteries if it gave out. He scanned the shelves and mostly saw jars of food. He turned to his left and looked at a jar that he wasn't sure what the contents were. He bent down to put it in a small crate and stood back up. He turned the flashlight back to the shelf and jumped. He nearly fell over the crate and stumbled into the kitchen.

John looked up at him. "Are you okay?"

Dean held his hand over his heart. He went back into the pantry but the doll was gone. "Where are they?"

John furrowed his brows. "In the other room looking at books."

Dean rounded the corner. "Alright, which one of you is messing with the doll?"

Kate tilted her head. "What doll?"

"The one that was in mom's room in the cellar." Dean said.

Taylor looked at Kate and shrugged.

Dean eyed them suspiciously. He turned around and the doll was right next to his face. "Son of a bitch!" He yelled again and karate chopped the doll out of the air. He spun around and looked at Kate and Taylor.

"Run." Kate said.

Taylor scrambled to his feet and took off.

Kate tossed the doll into Dean's hands and ran as well.

John heard the commotion and chuckled. When he saw Kate with the doll, he figured that scaring Dean was the plan.

Dean dropped the doll with a shiver. He opened the outside door. "Running won't help you!"

Kate saw him coming and ran around the truck. "It was just a prank."

Dean snorted. "Then come over here."

Kate giggled. "No!"

Taylor ran by Dean and shoved him lightly. He had to sprint to get away.

Kate laughed as Dean chased Taylor around the yard. They ran by her and she screamed because Dean turned to grab her. She ran into the lightly wooded area and kicked when Dean caught her and picked her up.

Dean held her upside down and tickled her ribs.

Kate screamed and tried to get out of his grasp. "Taylor! Help me!"

John continued looking in the house. He had to chuckle at the sounds coming from outside. He picked up Mary's doll and put it into a box. Even if it was a little creepy, it was something that she had once loved.

Taylor jumped on Dean's back.

Dean let Kate go and flipped Taylor.

Taylor landed with a thud. He groaned and rolled onto his stomach.

Kate held up her hands. "We give in! "

Dean messed up her hair and helped Taylor up. "How did you do that?"

Taylor explained. "I can move things around. I have pretty good control. Kate can teleport things but it only lasts a split second. That is why we could get the doll to show up in random places. I moved it a few times too."

Dean rubbed his face. "I want to be mad but I'm kind of impressed. No more doll pranks though."

Kate smirked. "Your reaction made me much more likely to pull doll pranks."

Dean scoffed. "You two are getting bold, maybe it is time for those reminders."

Kate gasped. "No." She batted her eyelashes. "We just wanted to have some fun."

Dean nodded. "Uh huh, that's what they all say." He had no intention of making the reminders that day. He just had to pick on Kate to get her back for the doll mess.

Taylor started walking back toward the run down house. He found a soft pinecone and tossed it at Dean.

Dean tossed it back. He grabbed a crooked stick and held it up. "Just keep pushing."

Taylor fake saluted Dean.

Dean snorted. He tossed the stick down and wiped his hand on his jeans.

Kate stopped walking. "Guys." She hissed.

Dean turned around. "What?"

Kate slowly turned toward him and Taylor. Her mouth went dry.

Dean could tell by looking at her face that something was horribly wrong. He was knocked onto his knees by what felt like a linebacker. "What the?"

Kate whipped her head around, keeping the invisible creature in her line of site. She slowly backed up. "Taylor."

Taylor crept closer to her. "What is it?"

Kate couldn't even say the word. "Protect Dean."

Dean stood up. "Oh no. I am going to protect you. What is it?"

Kate turned her head as the creature moved. It sprinted by them again. It was circling them. "Hell hound."

Dean felt his blood turn to ice. "Get behind me."

Kate grabbed Taylor's hand and kept her eyes on the demon dog. The house was too far away to safely make a run for it. Even if they did, the house wouldn't keep a hell hound out.

Dean pulled his knife out.

The hound moved so fast that Kate didn't have time to warn Dean.

The windows on one side of the house shattered and blew shards of glass into the kitchen where John was standing. He crouched to protect himself from the blast. He ran outside and froze just outside the door. Trees were on the ground. Debris littered the yard and smoke was coming from a spot beyond the treeline. He drew his weapon and ran to the center of the explosion. He called out for the kids but no one answered. When he reached the center he wasn't sure what he was seeing.

Kate heard something and spun around. She couldn't see. Everything was black.

John grabbed her arm to keep her from hitting him. "It's me."

Kate dropped to her knees and cried openly. After a minute, her vision started to return. She looked around her and at her body.

"Kate, what happened? Where are Dean and Taylor?" John asked.

Kate just stared at her hands. She tried to wipe the black from her hands but she was covered from head to toe.

John knelt down beside her. "Kate, look at me. What happened?"

Kate's bottom lip quivered. She shook with her sobs and aggressively scratched at her skin in hopes that it would return to her normal shade.

John put a hand on her arm.

"Don't touch me! You'll get it on you." Kate said.

John tilted her chin. "I don't care about getting this on me. I am trying to make sure you are okay."

Kate started to cry harder.

John got a call and answered it. "Dean, where are you, what happened?"

Dean had hit the ground and rolled. He looked at his surroundings. "Behind a store. Taylor is with me. Where is Kate? Is she okay? Dad, there was a hellhound."

John bristled and pulled the demon blade from its sheath.

Kate tried to get up and walk but she still couldn't see well.

"Are you hurt?" John asked.

Dean could feel his chest burning. "I have some shallow cuts on my chest. Taylor, are you okay?"

Taylor nodded. Kate had pulled some of his power before she sent them away.

Kate stumbled and did her best to get out of the blast zone.

John called after her. "Dammit, Kate, come here. Pray to Castiel. I have to grab her. Dean, I'll be there as soon as possible. Find out where you are."

Dean told him to worry about Kate. He checked Taylor over. He pulled his wallet from his back pocket and handed Taylor some money. "Can you go inside and get something to patch this up? A clean shirt wouldn't hurt."

Taylor nodded and ran into the store. He grabbed a variety of first aid supplies and a black t shirt. He also grabbed a flannel to go over it. He paid and then ran back around the building.

Dean hissed when he pulled his shirt up. "How bad is it?"

Taylor felt queasy. "Uh, not good but it looks surface level." He tried his best to clean up the wounds and placed gauze over them. He wrapped a bandage around Dean's chest. "Did you pray?"

"Yeah, he may show up." Dean said.

Taylor pulled the tags off of the new shirts and handed them to Dean.

Dean could feel a knot on the back of his head and his body ached. "We need to find out where we are."

Kate felt unclean in a spiritual sense. She heard John but she was disoriented.

John caught up to her and prevented her from falling. "Katelyn."

Kate shook her head.

John pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her.

Kate fought him. "No. You'll get dirty."

John managed to get her into the house. "I don't care."

Kate pushed against him.

"Stop fighting." John said sternly.

Kate went limp and sobbed. "I'm sorry daddy."

John's heart broke. "Katie, hey, it is okay. Please tell me what is going on."

Kate hadn't meant to call him that. Dad was still something she was getting used to and here she was, a pathetic mess, crying into his chest.

John poured some water onto a paper towel. He got some of the black off of her face but she was clinging to him so hard that he couldn't see much of her face. He gave up and just sat down with his arms wrapped around her. He hummed the song that he used to hum for Dean and Sam.

Kate started to fall asleep but images of what happened flooded her mind.

John held her to him so she couldn't flail as she started to panic again. "Kate."

Kate alternated between panic and exhaustion.

Dean finally found a sign that told them where they were. He called John back. "We are in town. Cas hasn't shown up yet. I'll call Missouri." He could hear Kate's sobbing in the background. "Dad, is she okay?"

"I don't know, son." John said.

Dean sighed. "I'll call Missouri. She should be able to help in a lot of ways."

"We will head to her house. Kate is solid black except for the bit that I was able to wipe off of her face." John said.

Kate ran through things in her head. She wanted to chew on her fingers but the black liquid deterred her.

There were three crates on the table. He could get them to the truck and then they could leave the house behind. "Kate, we are going to go to Missouri's house. Taylor and Dean will be there."

Kate nodded.

"I need to take those crates to the truck. It will take a few seconds." John said.

Kate stood up slowly. She stepped back so that he could grab them.

John stacked them and rushed them to the truck.

Kate started pacing and driving the heel of her hand into the side of her head. "It's all my fault. It's my fault."

John ran back into the house. "Hey, stop."

Kate hit herself harder. "It's my fault!"

John grabbed her hand to keep her from pulling a fistful of hair out. "Katelyn, stop."

Kate couldn't. She was so distraught and just wanted her brain to shut up. She drew her knife from her pocket and tried to stab her leg.

John grabbed the knife hand and pried the blade from her hand before she could do anything. He growled out of frustration with himself. He made a decision and spun her around and landed three hard swats to her backside.

Kate yelped and froze. She blinked rapidly and stared at him.

John sheathed her knife and put it in his own pocket. He picked her up and let her wrap her arms around him. "I'm sorry, Katie. I didn't want to do that. Dean said that you sometimes hurt yourself to make your mind shut off. I thought that was better than a knife to the leg."

Kate laid her head on his shoulder. The swats had shocked her enough to get the self harm thoughts out of her head.

John could feel that the muscles in her arms and back weren't drawn as tightly as they had been. It was just a momentary reprieve before she melted again. He could get her into the truck before that though. He put a blanket on the seat and draped the sides around her shoulders. He buckled her and then ran around to the driver's side. He pulled closer to the fallen trees and got a good look at the outside of the damaged area. The blast had been enough to reach from the center and all the way to the house. He turned the heat on to combat her shivering. "What is the black stuff?"

Kate stared out the window. "Blood."

John looked at her. "Blood?"

"Yeah, from the hellhound," Kate said, flatly.

John looked up and down. "How many?"

"One." Kate said.

Missouri rushed out the door and drove over to the store that Dean mentioned. She pulled up and told them to get in the car. When she had gotten the call, she immediately grabbed her keys. Dean sounded okay but she could tell that he was far from it. "Are you two boys okay?"

Taylor was starting to feel the shock. "I think so."

When she got back to the house she ordered Taylor to rest and ordered Dean to sit down so she could tend to the cuts on his chest.

"I'm okay. Taylor already bandaged it." Dean said.

Missouri gave him a look. "You just sit yourself down and get that shirt off."

Dean sighed and sat down. He didn't care about the wounds. He just wanted to make sure that Taylor and Kate were okay. "Taylor, did you get banged up at all?"

"No. I twisted my ankle when we landed but it isn't bad. I'm tired because some of my energy was taken."

Missouri walked back into the room. "Dean Winchester I told you to get that shirt off."

Dean blushed a little. He took the flannel off and laid it on the back of the couch. He was slow doing it. He took a deep breath and got the t shirt off as well. The movements required hurt.

Missouri gently removed the bandages and frowned. "These are not shallow, Dean."

"I've had worse." Dean said.

"If you aren't your father's son." Missouri scolded. She got some warm water and a cloth. She cleaned up the skin around the cuts and surveyed the damage. "I'm sure John will want to tend to these."

"He needs to tend to Kate." Dean said.

Missouri felt a darkness and ran her hands over her arms.

Taylor felt it too. He got up and looked outside. "They are here!"

John got Kate out of the truck and carried her inside.

Dean hopped up to check on her.

Kate looked at the loose bandages on his chest and started crying again. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

Dean put his hand on the side of her face. "It's okay. I'm okay. Are you okay?"

Kate wilted.

Missouri patted Dean's arm. "I'm going to take her upstairs to wash off. John, you will want to take a look at Dean's chest."

John got the bigger first aid kit from his truck. He also got the blanket that Kate had been sitting on.

Taylor was disoriented from the dark feeling that had seeped into the house.

"Taylor, what is wrong?" Dean asked.

"What is on her?" Taylor asked.

"Hellhound blood." John answered.

Taylor swallowed. "That would explain the heavy feeling."

Kate was shivering from how cold she was. She still couldn't see normally and her skin was hurting from the blood.

Missouri started the bathwater and motioned for Kate to sit down. "We are going to have to do this in stages.

Kate frowned. "I can do it myself."

"No, honey, you can't. You need to accept help right now. You can just take the jeans off and leave the rest on if you want. I'll get the stuff from your hair and arms. Then you can do the rest." Missouri offered.

Kate sat down and let Missouri wash her hair. She saw the black blood flowing in streams from the top of her head. She started breaking down again and just held her face in the palms of her hands.

Missouri swallowed the feeling of unease. "Can you tell me what happened?" She rinsed Kate's hair for the third time and then added shampoo.

"We were playing around and a hellhound showed up. At first, it wasn't aggressive. I have seen them before and they were just sitting, watching me." She frowned deeply. "We couldn't get to the house or the cellar. It lunged and..."

"Dean is okay, sweetie." Missouri said.

"It jumped on him and it all happened so fast. Suddenly they weren't there and the thing exploded." Kate said.

Missouri got a few more details from her but it was clear that she was exhausted. "I'm going to step out so you can finish up. I'll bring you some clean clothes."

Kate thanked her and peeled her shirt off so that she could get all of the blood off of her skin. She felt better once the water ran clear.

John bandaged two of the cuts on Dean's chest and examined the deeper two. "These are going to need a few stitches."

Dean nodded.

John got the supplies out of his kit and asked Missouri for a brighter light.

"I can heal him." Taylor said. He tried but Kate had taken too much of his energy.

Dean gave him a small smile. "Thanks but I can heal like a normal person too."

Missouri went back to check on Kate. She opened the door and left her dry clothes on the counter. She waited for her to get dressed and then helped her untangle her hair.

Kate followed Missouri back down the stairs and panicked when she saw Dean. "No, no I'll fix it!"

John held his hand out to stop her. "Two more stitches and then I'm done."

Kate was horrified when she saw the lines across Dean's chest. "I'm sorry."

Dean squeezed her hand. "He must be going soft because he numbed me up before starting. I feel nothing."

John smirked. He got done with his job and then bandaged Dean again.

Kate leaned her forehead on Dean's arm and cried. "I'm sorry."

"Kate, stop." Dean said. "There is no need to be sorry."

"I was slow. He got you." Kate wailed.

"I don't know what you are talking about being slow." Dean said.

"I should have done something when I first saw it." Kate said.

"You did. You let us know it was there. If we had started running, it would have chased us down. It probably just went after me because I looked like more of a threat. Poor move on their part." Dean said.

John cleaned up the wrappers and used bandages. He sat back down. "Did you two see what happened before winding up in town?"

"No. I hit the ground and felt it on top of me and then I was rolling across the ground outside the store." Dean said.

Taylor echoed his statement. "Did you take some of my energy?"

Kate sobbed and nodded.

John put a hand on her knee. "Kate, it is okay. We aren't angry. No one is angry."

"I just wondered so I understand." Taylor said.

Kate sniffled. "I was the only one that could see it. I let my instincts take over. I didn't mean to blast you into town."

"You didn't blast us." Dean said. "Had I known what was going on, I wouldn't have landed like a newborn giraffe."

Kate gave him a small smile at that image.

"Did you kill the hell hound?" Taylor asked.

Kate felt sick to her stomach. "Yeah."

Dean remembered when older Kate saved them from the hellhounds and tossed one of them into the air.

"There is a circle around where she was standing. Trees are broken. The glass on one side of the house shattered. I'd actually like to get some photos of the area so that we can study it." John said.

Missouri startled. "Oh, hello Castiel."

Dean shot Cas a glare. "Oh, now you show up."

"I tried to respond but I couldn't get to your location." Castiel said.

"Why?" Dean asked.

Castiel wasn't sure. "I don't know. I have not felt anything quite like it."

"I killed a hellhound," Kate said.

Castiel looked pensive. "How exactly?"

Feet crunched the sticks and leaves around the blast site.

Crowley stood in the middle and looked around. "The mutt wasn't supposed to attack."

"If you dangle a big juicy steak in front of Fido, you can't expect him not to try a taste." Meg said.

Crowley nudged a piece of fur with his shoe. "This is not quite what I expected." He smothered a smoldering stick.

Meg smirked. "So the rumors are true."

"This child is going to be a big problem," Crowley growled.

"I don't know, Crowley, I kinda like the kid." Meg said.

Crowley was not a fool. Fighting the Nephilian would cost him a lot of demons and a lot of hounds. However, befriending them enough to use them against his own enemies might work well for him. "Let's just make sure she is a problem for someone else."
