Scottie was walking around in the plaza with his Pikachu when he sees a Lass running up to him.
"Hey, are you Scottie?" the Lass asks.
"Yep, it's me, Scottie! What is it?" Scottie says.
"Here! Two girls gave me this and they told me to give it to you!" The Lass hands over the letter to Scottie.
"Huh. What's this?"
"I don't know. They didn't tell me what it is and they told me to not open it."
Scottie opens the letter and reads it out loud.
"Dear Scottie,
We are excited to invite you to the Battle Villa for a New Year's Meetup. Meet us there as soon as possible. We all are so excited to see you today!
From, Lisia and Dawn."
The Lass widens her eyes.
"Oh? That was an invitation? I must say I am a bit jealous! When they handed that invitation to me they were wearing some thematic clothing! I wish I was invited there actually!"
"Hold on, they did say to not bring anyone else on this invitation. I wonder why they want me there alone. Hey, do you know where the Battle Villa is from here?"
"Oh, I think it's in that direction," the Lass points west.
"Alright, thanks!" Scottie runs over to the direction the Lass is pointing.
When Scottie arrives directly outside the Battle Villa he walks up to it and knocks on the door. After a while the door opens with Lisia in the doorway.
"Oh, hi, Scottie! Looks like you accepted our invitation! I'm so glad you showed up! Come on in!" Lisia said cheerfully.
Scottie looks at her. "Oh, you have your New Year's outfit on! I guess it makes sense since it is the New Year! And I'm guessing your friend Dawn is, too."
Lisia currently wears a kimono skirt consisting of a blue and yellow top with detached sleeves with a short mint green skirt at upper thigh length with a white bow tied around the entire kimono, along with a blue and white bow on her head and shoes consisting of green and blue along with short white ankle length socks below her knees with puffing at the top of the socks.
Lisia nods her head. "Mhm! And we have some other friends as well! Girls! Scottie is here!"
The other girls run over to the main area of the Battle Villa and look at Scottie.
"Huh? There are only four of you inside?" Scottie says as see observes the girls. "I thought this was a huge celebration party with everyone in Pasio."
"Oh no, it's just us four! This is a bit more of a private party with you!" Lisia says.
Scottie looks at the other girls.
"So you're Dawn! I remember seeing both you and Lisia on the stage in those outfits last year! You girls were pretty cute in them!" Scottie says.
"Aw... thanks!" Dawn says while blushing a bit. "I did hope I looked good."
Dawn wears a kimono skirt consisting of a purple top and detached sleeves with a short red skirt at upper thigh length with a purple bow tied around the entire kimono, along with a purple bow with white puff accessories on top of her head with purple flower accessories on the sides of her hair and shoes consisting of two shades of purple with short white ankle socks below her knees similar to Lisia's.
Scottie looks at the furisode girl in black.
''Oh, Kali! I remember you as well! If I remember, you designed both Dawn and Lisia's outfits! I really liked them!" Scottie says.
"Aw... thank you! I'm glad you really liked them! I tried my best! I almost didn't manage to get the outfits to them in time because there was a huge crowd blocking the way! Luckily Bede was there to help me!" Kali said.
"Bede? How did he help?"
Kali looked a bit nervous.
"Well... he brought out his Hatterene and it... it literally lifted me in the air... it was... a bit frightening to say the least..." Kali said.
"Oh! So that's why it took so long for you to arrive!" Lisia said. "And you flew in the air? That must've been so graceful to watch! I wish I could fly in the air like a fairy as well! It would be a dazzling performance!"
Scottie looks at the furisode girl in white.
"And you are...?"
"Oh, please excuse my manners. I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Katherine," the furisode girl in white said. "I'm one of the gym trainers from Laverre City! I guess Valerie didn't let you about me, yet. And you probably know this already, but Kali is a gym trainer in Laverre City, too! Although Kali designed the outfits, I'm more passionate about battling, and looking elegant doing it as well!"
"Oh! Nice to meet you, Katherine!" Scottie says.
"Alright then! Looks like you've met everyone in this place now! Let's go to the dining room!" Lisia grabs Scottie's arm and drags him inside the Battle Villa to the dining room with the other girls trailing behind.
"Ta-da!!!!!" Lisia exclaims. "The dining table! A banquet for all of us, especially for you!"
"Wow. Honestly that's really impressive for just the five of us," Scottie says.
"There's tons of good food here too eat! Food from different regions like Hoenn and Galar! Dawn was responsible for making the pastries! I've heard that she was also a baker with her Alcremie to assist in making them!" Lisia said.
"You're treating me like I'm some hot stuff. Do you girls like me or something?" Scottie says.
All of the girls suddenly stop and started blushing or looking away.
"Um... Maybe...?" Lisia says while holding her hands together and looking away. "But we're all just friends anyways! Anyways, you can have the middle seat!" Lisia points to a seat near the table.
Scottie sits on the seat along with the other four girls around him.
"Hey, Lisia, I'm guessing you got Wallace's permission to host this private party, right?" Kali asks.
"Oh... uh... I actually never mentioned it to Uncle Wall at all, but it's just a friendly gathering, so it should be okay." Lisia says.
"It doesn't matter, it's already started! Let's dig in!" Katherine says.
They eventually start digging in to the food with the girls looking at him with happy expressions and he passionately eats. After eating, they were all full and happy.
"Mmm... that was delicious... thanks girls!" Scottie says.
The other girls make affirmative nods.
"I'm glad you liked it!" Dawn says. "It was like a battle to see who could get the food first!"
"Speaking of battles..." Katherine says as she gets up from her seat, walks over to Scottie, and picks him up by his arm out of the seat. "Let's have one right now!"
The other girls look surprised.
"But Katherine, he just finished eating. I don't think he's ready to battle yet. At least give him a few minutes." Dawn protested.
"Too bad. I wanna battle him right now," Katherine says.
Katherine brings Scottie to the main hall.
"Hey, if you we're are gonna battle, can I go first?" Kali asks.
"You know what?" Katherine says. "Let's double up on him. I'm sure he looks like a pretty weak trainer."
Both furisode girls go on their battle pose; Kali bows her legs towards each other and Katherine puts her left leg toward.
Lisia and Dawn gasp.
"You're doubling up on him? At least give him a breather first! It's not a fair fight!" Dawn protested.
"Don't worry, it's fine. I've never been more pumped than ever!" Scottie says. "Pikachu, I choose you!"
Pikachu runs in front of Scottie.
Both Kali and Katherine chuckle.
"Alright then! It's time for the beauties to dazzle you strong! Go, Slurpuff!" Katherine says in a cocky voice.
"Azumarill, now! We both are strong and stylish!" Kali says.
"So it's a two on one then. I'm ready! Pikachu, Thunderbolt on the Azumarill!" Scottie yells out.
"Slurpuff, use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Azumarill, dodge and use Bubble Beam!"
As Scottie and the furisode girls battle, Lisia and Dawn watch from a distance.
"Wow, I didn't know both of them were such passionate battlers!" Dawn says.
"I guess they are gym trainers after all. I wonder how Valerie treats them," Lisia says.
After a while, Kali's Azumarill gets zapped by a Thunderbolt and is knocked out.
"Ah! No! Azumarill!" Kali screams.
"Don't worry, Kali! I can handle this! Pikachu is sure to be weakened a bit!" Katherine reassures Kali. "Slurpuff, use Charm to distract the Pikachu!"
"Pikachu, don't fall for it. Ignore it and use Quick Attack!" Scottie says.
The Pikachu ignores the Charm and rushes into the Slurpuff attacking it what a Quick Attack.
"Slurpuff!" Katherine yells.
"Now finish it with a Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu unleashes a bolt of lighting and zaps Slurpuff and knocks it out.
"Huh? Slurpuff? No! D-Did we lose?" Katherine says. "Did use two furisode girls lose to this one guy?"
Both Lisia and Dawn start clapping.
"Wow! Scottie just defeated those two girls all by himself!" Lisia says with joy.
"Yeah, that was amazing! Oh hey, how about we both battle him as well?" Dawn says.
"But his Pikachu might have used some of its energy from the battle."
"Don't worry. My Pikachu still has some fight in him!" Scottie says.
"Are you sure? Alright then! Let's go!" Lisia says and both she and Dawn trade positions with Kali and Katherine.
"I still can't believe we both list to him! I was sure we'd beat him!" Katherine says.
"Hey, cheer up! At least we got to battle him!" Kali says.
"OK! Time to sparkle!" Lisia says while looking at Dawn.
Both Lisia and Dawn spin and twirl in their kimono skirts with one of their legs raised upwards while simultaneously sending out Galarian Rapidash and Sensu Oricorio respectively.
"I would use my Altaria, but I feel using my Rapidash will be more appropriate for this occasion!" Lisia says.
"Wow! So strong and stylish!" Kali says from a distance.
"Okay, Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Scottie says.
"Dashie, use Giga Impact!" Lisia says.
"Oricorio, Revelation Dance!" Dawn says.
As the Pokémon fight, Kali says something to Katherine.
"Wow, I bet those girls are stronger than us!" Kali says to Katherine.
"Nope! I don't accept that! I will be the strongest furisode girl here!" Katherine says in a serious tone.
"But we both got crushed there!"
"Shut it, Kali! I don't want to hear it!"
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Scottie says.
The Pikachu zaps the Oricorio dealing a lot of damage.
"Oh no! Hang in there!" Dawn yells.
"Dawn, I got this! Dashie, Quick Attack!" Lisia yells.
The Galarian Rapidash charges towards the Pikachu, but it dodges in time.
"Woah! That was fast!" Lisia says. "Faster than Dashie!"
"OK, Pikachu, time for the finisher! Time for Thunderb of Newfound Passion!" Scottie yells out.
Pikachu unleashes a huge thunder that strikes both Pokémon and they both get knocked out.
"No! Dashie!" Lisia cries out.
"Oricorio..." Dawn says.
"Oh my goodness! That's so strong!" both Kali and Katherine say in unison.
"Wow. That was truly a performance neither of us could outperform... Hey, Lisia-" as Dawn turns to Lisia, she sees her on her knees with her face down not making any noise or movements.
"L-Lisia? D-Don't cry. We both did great..." Dawn tries to reassure Lisia.
Suddenly Lisia squeals with excitement and runs towards Scottie very quickly.
"Lisia? What are you doing?" Dawn says.
Lisia lunges at Scottie hugging him passionately with one of her legs up behind her.
"Oh! That was so dazzling and dizzying! You and your Pokémon are so cute and marvelous! I could faint from my excitement for your cuteness!" Lisia squeals.
"Uh... personal space please," Scottie says.
"Oh, sorry," Lisia lets go of Scottie.
"Wow. A miracle idol really complimented him that passionately. That's saying something!" Kali admires. "I bet I could design a nice furisode for you, Scottie!"
"Hmph. I bet I could do better. Just you wait and see the power of the fairies!" Katherine says in a huff. "At least I didn't lose to a dragon user!"
"Oh wait! I forgot! We have a massive surprise waiting for you!" Lisia says. "Yoohoo, Kali, get the blindfold!"
Kali ties the blindfold around Scottie's eyes.
Eventually, they reach their destination.
"Alright! Remove the blindfold!" Lisia requests.
After the blindfold is removed Scottie sees that he's in a bedroom with a huge bed that can fit all five of them.
"W-Wait! What is this?" Scottie stammers.
"It's a bedroom! You'll feel really comfortable on the bed, and us four will make this experience even better, better than you can ever imagine!" Lisia happily says.
All the girls look at Scottie and they all smile and him.
Scottie suddenly starts sweating and gets really nervous.
"Um... I appreciate your generosity, but we're just supposed to be only friends. Is this the appropriate way to celebrate the new year?" Scottie says.
"What are you talking about? We'll just be even closer than before!" Lisia says unaware.
"Hey, thank you for the New Year's party girls, but I don't think I can do what you girls are about to do. Sorry, I just can't. We're only made to be just friends, so..." Scottie suddenly bolts out the door.
"Hey, Scottie! Wait! Where are you going?" Lisia says, but Scottie is long gone.
"Hey, thank you for the New Year's party, girls, but I don't think I can do what you girls are about to do. Sorry, I just can't. We're only made to be just friends, so..." Scottie suddenly bolts out the door.
"Hey, Scottie! Wait! Where are you going?" Lisia says, but Scottie is long gone.
Lisia sighs. "Aww... it was about to get good. We were going to treat him like a king. We were going to perform, sing, and dance in front of him while he relaxes in that large bed! I figured he would want a lot of room on that bed! We were going to feed him with even more pastries, play friendly games together, and even fan him once in a while to make him comfortable!"
"To be fair, I think you did send the wrong message to him when you showed him the bedroom," Katherine says with her arms crossed.
"What do you mean?" Lisia asks.
As Scottie rushes out the Battle Villa, he sees the Lass from before peeking through the window.
"Huh? Were you peeking at us through the window?" Scottie asks in surprise.
The Lass notices Scottie and looks up at him.
"Oh! I saw you and those four girls together! It was a private party? I'm so jealous! I wish I was invited there! You even battled with them, and that green-haired girl even hugged you!" The Lass paused for a moment. "Hey! I wanna be with you as well, so why don't we be together for the rest of the night?"
Scottie immediately backs away. "No, no, no! Nope, nope! Nuh uh! Not you two! I'll spend the rest of the night somewhere else alone! I've got too many girls after me at the moment! See ya!"
Scottie quickly sprints away from the Lass without looking back.
The Lass looks at Scottie confused. "Huh. It was just going to be a friendly date. What on earth is wrong with him?"
