Their eyes met across the crowded room. He had noticed her standing there when he got on stage and he knew she was familiar, but the memory had soon become a blur when he had almost passed out and was taken to the back of the Savoy. She followed Michael and Chase as they walked him back, concerned for her friend. Knowing that he was already overwhelmed by his family and hopeful that maybe she could help in some small way.
He noticed her immediately as he was passed a bottle of water by another stranger. "I know you." He said certain as his memory flashbacked to her smiling at him standing off to the side of the stage. This was the first clear memory since his accident and he was relieved that someone seemed familiar. That he didn't only just have memories of performing.
She smiled at him, thankful that he recognized her and hopeful that this meant that he would eventually regain a sense of who he really is. "You do." She assured him cautiously as she didn't want to overwhelm him.
He stood up and stepped closer to her as she approached him. "I'm sorry, I don't remember…"
"It's ok. You will. Alexis, my name is Alexis." She said, reaching out and touching his arm gently as Olivia rounded the corner and stopped suddenly witnessing the closeness that had seemed to overtake the two of them.
Alexis saw her out of the corner of her eye and took a step back. "What do you remember?"
"It's just a flash, but it's clear. I'm on stage and I can see you standing there in the wings. It's not perfect. I don't remember every detail, but it's definitely you."
She was relieved his first memory of her wasn't the day Eddie's Angel came to be although she was sure that would eventually follow. Their conversation was interrupted by Olivia, making her presence known. "Ned, you need to be sitting down. In fact you should still be in the us take you back to GH."
"I've told you, my name is Eddie. And I don't need to be in the hospital." He said agitated.
"Well then come home with your family, to your family." She said desperate.
"Like I told you. I don't know who you are, now, if you'll excuse me I have a show to do and then I need to hit the road and find my next gig."
"Wait." Alexis said, trying to keep him from taking the stage again and possibly injuring himself even more. She had every confidence that he would sound great, he always did, but what happened earlier worried her. "I think I have a solution."
He stopped at the door and turned around. "What?" Olivia said impatiently.
"Now, Olivia, I know you want him to go home to the Quartermaines, but maybe that's not what he needs right now."
"Thank you!"
"We all want to help you through this, and you need a place to stay. I'm offering to let you stay with me. I have plenty of space and I think staying in Port Charles may help you recover. You may not remember us, but your family and friends will support whatever you decide." She said as she looked at Olivia pointedly.
"That's very kind of you to offer, but I wouldn't want to.."
She interrupted, adamant. "Let me do this for you."
He looked into her eyes again, feeling this overwhelming sense of safety as Olivia watched the two of them seeming to understand that there was more between them than even she had thought. "Ok, lead the way."
