All of this was difficult to understand for any of them. One moment they were in Detroit escaping the US army. Now they were on a ship somewhere in space. A ship full of human beings. None of which trusted any of the androids. Especially, not the man with a thick accent. He seemed to be a scientist like Elijah.

But, not at the same time.

The whole amount of humans had herded them to the observation deck. Threatening to shoot anyone that tried to escape. Ash hugged Oliver tight as they stood on the deck. Looking at each of the humans as everyone else around them whimpered. Holding each other like he was with his lover. Quietly, Ash asked,"You don't think they're going to kill us do you?"

"No, they're just being cautious is all.",Oliver answered. Trying to keep his tone as calm as humanly possible. He was feeling just as scared as his lover. And didn't want to show it. Hugging him back, Oliver gave a gentle smile. Trying to be as reassuring as he could. He continued,"They just want to be careful that we're not going to harm them."

"None of them are monsters, Ash. They're just scared.",he reminded. Which was a valid concern. If he were in these folks shoes, he would do this too. So would their leaders. Though Markus probably would be a lot calmer about this. Not having armed people keep them in one room. The guards were glaring at all of them. Or at least the folks who had been violent in their response. Again, that was fair. They had attacked first out of fear the Army had herded them somewhere. And that they were all going to die. Many of them should understand that they were just terrified they'd be killed.

Though they already disarmed them and had them effectively cornered...Oliver did his best to ignore this.

While they stood there, Ralph paced around them. Walking a tight circle as he muttered to himself. He did this whenever he was anxious on Earth, too. Wander around while speaking softly to himself. It worried him as the guards were staring at the injured android. Oliver carefully reached over to grab Ralph's shoulder. Trying to not scare or harm him as he got close to them again. Giving him a gentle squeeze as the other android stopped. In a soft voice, Oliver assured,"We're going to be okay, Ralph."

"They don't want to harm us, they're just being careful.",he informed. Didn't help that they were terrified of them. And so far, there hadn't been any real violence from the humans. No signs of retaliation to come. Things were going to be okay. Ash, Ralph, and himself weren't going to be dying somewhere in space. They were going to live and go back to Earth. He would make absolute sure of it. Ralph stated,"He knows. But this is just so...so terrifying. Ralph wants to go home, Oli."

"I know, Ralph and I do to. And we will, we just need to remain calm.",Oliver sympathized. It was a difficult situation to be in. And he knew it wasn't easy for any of them. No one was having a good time and Oliver gently squeezed both of his lovers. Pulling Ralph closer to kiss his cheek and then the top of Ash's head. Both returned the kisses as they stood there. Trying their hardest to calm themselves down as they watched the guards. Oliver prayed that Markus was getting them to see reason.

These humans were cautious and none of them could fault them. After all, the androids had indeed shot first. Thinking this was some form of trap by the military. And that they were all going to die. They should have known better but, fear had won out above reason.

"What has happened should have been avoided and we are sorry that it happened.",Markus stated. It was the fifth time that he had to say this. And he was starting to feel like a broken record. None of them like harming human beings but, it still happened. The attack was in all honesty just an accident. At least no one had been murdered so far. Despite the shots that had been exchanged between them. He continued,"We mean it, Telford. All of us were backed into a corner and we were scared."

"None of us want to kill any of you, we promise.",Markus swore. For what felt like the upteenth time of the talk. Telford was like talking to a wall. As did the other man, Young. Neither of them seemed all that interested in listening to him. At least, they seemed to be. North quickly placed herself between Telford and Markus. Eyes locked on the human's weapon. While Josh was blocking humans from Markus's other side. As Simon blocked their fearless leader's back. Eyes trained on the guards that were beyond the door. The trio were unarmed but, that didn't mean they weren't a threat to the humans.

"...in all fairness, you shot at us first.",Young reminded. Again, that was fair. Completely fair and he had a right to say this. That's indeed what some of the armed members of Jericho did. Though it hadn't been entirely those members fault. They had seen Young's men holding up guns and feared for the others safety. It wasn't wise to fire but, they were too terrified to think properly. Calmly, Markus stated,"I know and it was wrong of us to shoot first."

"We aren't here to harm anyone, we swear. We just wish to exist like you do.",Markus informed. Trying his best to keep his tone level and not show his fear. Or show any frustration with the man. They still had a right to be afraid of them and he knew this. Still,it made this whole meeting uncomfortable. Looking Young dead in the eye, he stated,"The members of Jericho do not wish you or anyone on board any actual harm."

"We promise to do whatever it takes to prove we're not out to harm you.",he added. Hoping to save the rest of Jericho from any harm. Feeling that if they promise to help, they wouldn't shoot them. The four of them had to do anything to protect all of their members from death. This seemed to give the one called Young some pause. His expression going from tense to a slightly calmer state. He motioned for the other two men to move to a different part of the room. The trio of men forming a huddle that faced away from them. Discussing what had to be done. Voices not going above a whisper as they did so. None of them even looking over at the group once. And none of them realizing that the androids could hear their every word. Telford spat,"Are you sure they're not going to attack us if given an opportunity?"

"They've already wounded at least six of us already.",he added. Jabbing his thumb back at the four. Wounded but, not killed. As their gunmen didn't want to run the risk of murdering anyone. Not unless absolutely necessary. Such as one of the men had cornered them and left them no real choice. Rush chimed in,"Wounded, not killed. They could be worth keeping an eye on."

"They're so advanced and they could help with repairs to the ship?",Rush offered. North bristled at the idea. Being slaves for these humans and doing what they wanted. It disgusted her. Yet, she knew it was wise to keep it to herself. Not wanting to start another fight. Young nodded his head at this. Seemingly thinking what Rush had been thinking. He stated,"We watch them and we keep weapons far away from them."

"They'll prove their worthiness and safety through their actions.",Young added. Calmly, they broke their circle and told the Leaders of Jericho this. That they were being given a chance to prove themselves. That they were going to be given tasks on the ship. To better assist the humans which would help them as well.

It sounded fair enough and all of them agreed to it. Not, that they had much of a choice to begin with. Markus shook Young's hand to signify the deal. Then the trio led them back to their group. The armed men immediately instructed to lower their weapons. Markus 'spoke' to the members of Jericho about the deal. Telling them that they would live so long as they helped folks on the Destiny. A few seconds later, the group split up to their assigned tasks. Grateful that they weren't being shot as they walked. Oliver followed some blond woman that looked like a doctor. Ralph was taken by two other men. And Ash found himself walking behind a young man named Eli. Who was telling him stuff that he barely listened to. Looking around the ship with wide eyes. It was much more complex than anything he'd ever seen in his entire life. And that was saying something. This place was absolutely beautiful than anything he had ever known. His thoughts were racing as he nearly collided with Eli. Who had only stopped in the middle of the hall for some reason. Raising an eyebrow, Eli asked,"You didn't hear a word that I said, did you?"

"Sorry. I've never been anywhere like this before.",Ash apologized. Grinning awkwardly as he made eye contact with Eli. This was more than anything he ever experienced before. Just so much more advanced and it was like stepping on the set of a science fiction movie. Looking around, he added,"It's really amazing. This place is just so beautiful."

"Beautiful? I guess it is if you're a giant nerd.",Eli joked. As he himself was also a giant nerd. Probably more so than the robot in front of him. Or was he an android like Data? Either way, he wasn't anything that Eli ever seen before. Eli asked,"So, uh. What do I call you?"

"I mean, my name is Eli. So what's yours?",Eli stated. Ash gave him a polite smile back as he held out his hand for Eli to shake. Figuring that it was the cordial thing to do. He answered,"Ash. My name is Ash."

There was something slightly hilarious about the android's name. And he did his best to not laugh as he shook Ash's hand. Keeping a somewhat straight look on his face as he did so. When he took his hand back, he stated,"Okay. So your duties will be helping me fix things around here."

"Any damaged areas that we can't safely reach due to them having no oxygen.",Eli explained. As Ash didn't need to breathe, he would have no issues. It sounded somewhat sucky but, he figured it was for the best. If it kept everyone safe then Ash would handle it. Nodding his head, he let his hand drop. Walking with Eli past the man that he had seen briefly earlier. Dr. Rush, if he remembered it right, was standing at a control panel. If he could consider that mechanical thing that. The man gave him a small glance. Not saying a word as the pair past him. Out of the corner of his eye, Ash saw a strange orb following after them as they walked. Eli stated,"That's a kino."

"In case you were wondering what the little thing following us is.",Eli explained. Holding up the remote that went to the odd round object. It seemed strange. And Ash wasn't sure why Eli would need it at all. Before he could ask, Eli added,"It's sort of a security camera that I can use to communicate with you while you're out there."

"Oh, so it's sort of like a drone that's just really round.",Ash stated. It was sort of weird having it follow them. All of this was like being in an odd episode of Star Trek. Except there wasn't a quick and easy fix to their problem. And no Shatner being an over-dramatic weirdo to make the situation more fun. All there was, was this ship and some scared humans. Who seemed a lot safer than the ones they'd seen. Or were at least a whole lot less violent than them.

"Okay, I'm going to need you to wear this suit while you're out there.",Eli stated. A suit? Like what astronauts used? That seemed very unnecessary to Ash as he didn't need to breath. So why would he need something like this? Ash poised this question to Eli. Who gave a small smile as he showed him the suit. He asked,"Could you please just humor me with it?"

"It feels really wrong sending you out there without this when you look so human.",Eli added. Looking a bit nervous at the idea of sending Ash out unprotected. It made some form of sense in his mind. As it probably wouldn't look right to him either. And definitely would make him uncomfortable as well. So, he decided to just humor the young scientist as he got the suit on. Figuring it was the right thing to do. He walked into the direction that Eli pointed out to him a second later. The Kino leading the way as he walked to the correct door. Which opened a second after he walked up to it. Nearly getting the kino sucked towards the gaping hole that was at least a foot long. And a few inches wide. In a flash, Ash snatched the little thing before it could go straight through the hole. Pulling it close to his body and giving it a gentle pat on top of it. Feeling as though he had to reassure the little thing it was safe. Despite how silly and unnecessary that was. Soon as the door shut, Ash put the kino in a spot where it wouldn't get pulled away. Making sure that Eli could still see and speak to him as well.

Then he went about patching the giant hole with some scrap metal he found. Listening to Eli explain what was going on with them. All the dangers that they have been dealing with. What kind of hardships they'd have to handle since they've boarded. How they've lost people and other things. It was just as bad as what they've dealt with back on Earth. Ash only hoped this wouldn't screw any of them over.

And that these humans were better than the ones they just fled.
