Summary: 20 contestants battle it out on a private resort in a tropical paradise hosted by the amazing Chris McLean, and his assistant, Chef Hatchet. In a brand new season of twists and turns, who will walk away with the prize?
We don't owe Total Drama, only our OCs.
Remaining Contestants: Joseph, Abigail, Brittany, Fernando, Dante, Rebekah, Ilyria, Lin, Butch, Walter, and Demetrius
"Last time on Total Drama Hawaiian Resort…" Chris would begin the famous recap. "The 12 remaining contestants were transported into a video game, where they were given superpowers to battle one another in a tournament bracket style!"
"Joseph easily took down Ilyria in his match, and Lin was able to handle Fernando really quickly in her match," Alexis continued.
"Shockingly, Lucille managed to beat Butch, who I bet on winning in their match," Chris gave a sadistic grin.
Alexis glared at the host, before continuing. "Abigail took down Walter, despite some difficulty, while Rebekah easily took down Demetrius in her fight. Brittany thought she won against Dante, but due to the super speed he was given, he was able to overpower the mob boss and beat her!"
"While that happened, Lucille's wheelchair would go missing, and we had no idea about it until the second round matchups, in which Lin took down Joseph, and Lucille was about to win against Dante in her match," Chris continued.
"I made Chris stop the challenge, and we had to search for Lucille's wheelchair, with Joseph basically tearing the whole lobby apart trying to find it," Alexis said.
"In the end, we couldn't find the wheelchair, so we had to make the difficult decision to medically evacuate Lucille from the competition," Chris said.
"But she did finally share that kiss with Joseph!" Alexis grinned as a flashback would show the two kissing.
"Looks like Demetrius might be ready to unleash some kind of plan soon, but we still don't know what it is," Chris said. "With 11 contestants left, who'll be the next to bite the dust in the horrible challenge we have planned? Find out on this episode of…Total!"
"Drama!" Alexis continued.
"HAWAIIAN RESORT!" the two let out together.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine,
You guys are on my mind.
You asked me what I wanted to be
and now I think the answer is plain to see,
I wanna be famous.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
I'll get there one day.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na! (as can be heard in the background)
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
(Whistling in tune)
Episode 12: Knockout Gas of Doom
Brittany
The mob boss would get ready for bed, thinking to herself.
"Finally, that girl's out." she let out. "But it is kind of suspicious the way she left the game… Demetrius definitely has something to do with it. He's really twisted…and someone has to take him down. He still has Walter and Butch on his side…which is bad news." She would walk over to the window, and look out. "But on the other hand, I should be glad that Joseph has no more close allies…he'll be easier to take out. That is, if he doesn't get immunity, or find one of those stupid idols."
She finished getting ready for bed, and laid down, going to sleep.
Abigail
"Poor Lucille…the way she got out of the game just like that. She was really good in her battle, and she could have won against Dante…" the former child star let out. "I suppose I should be glad that I'm still in the game though…here's hoping I can win the challenge…whatever it may be." She sighed. "I need to talk with Fernando first." She would leave her room, after getting dressed, and going to the male model's room.
Joseph
The tribal chief looked out into the night sky from his room, a grim look on his face.
"Who took Lucy's wheelchair and why? … It doesn't matter, there's going to be hell to pay for whoever did it! … Still, somehow I think it's better that she left now rather than later. If it came down to just me and her towards the end then I can't afford to go easy on her. She wouldn't have liked that anyway."
The young man laid down on his bed and stared up at the ceiling for a moment before shutting his eyes.
"Whatever the next challenge is, everyone's going to have to be ready for me, because there won't be any letup or mercy anymore."
Lin
The street urchin had just entered the elevator going back up towards the penthouse. Her search for one of the immunity idols remained ongoing. She held a firm look on her face as she watched the screen on the elevator tell which floor she was currently on.
"Still nothing." She thought to herself. "I've gone over about a third of the island already. Has someone else already found one of them? If so, then who? If it's the same person, or people, that took Lucille's wheelchair then this could be a problem."
The elevator doors opened with a soft ding as Lin stepped onto the penthouse floor, watching some of the remaining contestants lounge around.
"I need to be careful who I ally with from now on…"
Demetrius, Walter, Butch, Damiano
"Well, boys, we've done it," Demetrius let out. "Soon, we'll be ready to launch the plan."
"When should we make our move?" Walter asked.
"Not now, perhaps we can wait until 9 people are left," Demetrius replied. "If you have anything to report on those idols, then tell me now."
"No luck." "Nothing yet." Walter and Butch shrugged.
"And you, Dante?" Demetrius looked at his new ally.
"I haven't found any of them either. But I think you guys ought to find one soon. I don't know if you've noticed but that stunt you guys pulled earlier put a lot of eyes on you."
"Figures," Demetrius scoffed. "We need to lay low now."
"Maybe." Damiano mused. "Or, you could do something to get some attention off of you."
"What do you suggest?" Demetrius raised an eyebrow.
"We would have to either win the next challenge or find the Chef Immunity Idol for this to work, but the plan is for you to do one of those things and eliminate one of your lackeys here." Damiano explained, motioning to Butch and Walter.
"Say what?!" Butch shouted.
"Interesting…it would throw suspicion off me. Boys, would you be alright with this?" Demetrius asked.
"I'm not exactly happy about this plan, but if it will help you, then I volunteer as the one you can vote off." Walter said, raising his hand.
"Thank you, Walter. This way, you can prepare the weapon for when everything is ready," Demetrius smirked.
"'Course we'd have to find the idol first." Damiano shrugged. "Otherwise you'd have to rely on your chances of winning or someone else opting to vote off Walter instead."
"Not to worry." Walter assured. "With the overall strength that Butch and I have, I believe we have a good chance. Coupled with Demetrius' strategic mind, our chances only get better."
"Which is why I'm assigning you to find that Chef Idol, Walter. If you do find it, bring it to me," Demetrius smirked.
"What about the other idols?" Butch asked.
"Perhaps we can save those for later," Demetrius replied. "For now, we only need that Chef Idol."
Fernando and Abigail
The former child star soon reached the male model's room, humming to herself. The sight of her new boyfriend leaving his room caught her attention, silencing her and putting a smile on her face.
"Hey, Fernando," Abigail greeted him with a grin.
"Ah, Abigail, how are things?"
"I'm just thinking," Abigail responded. "It's really strange how Lucille left the game earlier tonight."
With a sudden idea flicking into his brain, Fernando couldn't help but smile devilishly for just a moment.
"Now that you mention it, it is a bit strange. Dante's also been acting quite strangely recently… You don't think that he…"
"What?" Abigail was beginning to get worried.
"Maybe… maybe he took Lucille's wheelchair."
"No…he couldn't have…" Abigail let out. "That's not like him."
"Are you sure? Lately it's like he's been acting like an entirely different person. Perhaps us becoming a couple just made him want to show us who he really is out of frustration."
"I dunno…" Abigail let out, looking down at her feet. "I think Butch took the wheelchair."
"Are you sure?" Fernando asked, placing a hand on the child star's chin and making her look at him. "What makes you say that?"
"Well, he has been hanging with Walter and Demetrius a lot…and he did lose his battle with Lucille. Maybe he threw his battle against her, so he could take the wheelchair? It makes sense. And I did beat Walter…"
Fernando was silent as he thought for a moment before sighing.
"Well my dear, maybe we shouldn't stress ourselves too much with this. I'm sure things will sort themselves out later on and we can figure all of this out. If it makes you feel any better though, I'll try talking to those boys and seeing where that goes."
"Alright," Abigail smiled a little. "It's too bad we can't sleep together…"
"Haha, I suppose it is a shame." Fernando laughed as he gave Abigail a quick kiss on her forehead before walking away.
"Goodnight, my love," Abigail swooned.
Morning…
Alexis would go over to Brittany when the mob boss woke up.
"Hey, Chris wanted to know if it was okay that Avalanche chills with the eliminated contestants during the challenge. He doesn't want her getting hurt."
"Shocking," Brittany scoffed. "Fine, I suppose it's okay."
"Don't worry, you'll get her back after the challenge is done," the young chef reassured the mob boss.
"I know that. Go on, Avalanche. Be a good girl," the mob boss looked over at her Doberman.
"Woof!" Avalanche let out, as she would go with Alexis over to the main resort.
Ilyria, meanwhile, would be trying to contact her agency team, managing to get through to someone.
"Carlos, thank goodness I've got you," Ilyria let out. "Can you give me a Sitrep?"
"Ilyria, we've lost contact with Sarah, Skylar, Kayla, and Tamara," Carlos let out, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Bloody hell, are you serious?" Ilyria groaned. "That's not good."
"Apparently, the boss also sent another agent, someone Russian, we're not sure yet. But you still have me, Cleo, and Alexander."
"Thankfully," the British spy let out. "I would have been devastated if you got taken."
"Haven't been taken since that last mission," Carlos smirked.
"Very true," Ilyria grinned back. "You were a funny mime."
"It was horrible not being able to talk," Carlos pouted.
"Alright, I have to get going. The next challenge is starting soon. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure out Demetrius really soon," Ilyria said, as she signed off from her spy phone.
"GOOOOOD MORNING, CAMPERS!" Chris announced gleefully.
"I wish I had more beauty sleep," Abigail yawned.
"Oh you just might have the opportunity to get some more with today's challenge!" Chris chuckled.
"What does that mean?" Lin asked.
"Something insane," Rebekah groaned.
"Only a little." Johan remarked before getting immediately silenced by Chris.
"SHOOSH!" The host urged. "Now, as I was saying. Today's challenge is fairly simple, but not easy by any means! From noon today until sundown, the entirety of this hotel will be filled with a specialized knockout gas!"
"So that's why you had Alexis collect Avalanche from me…" Brittany muttered. "Smart move, McLean."
"Yup! We'll torture you, but I draw the line at harming animals! Anyway, this knockout gas won't kill you and it's fairly easy to wake you all up once this challenge is over. We've also tested to make sure there aren't any lasting effects so you'll all be fine when this is over. As for the challenge itself, once the gas starts going through the ventilation system, you'll all have to last as long as you can. All exits will be completely sealed off and breaking any windows will result in you getting disqualified from the challenge. Whoever is the last contestant standing OR whoever can last until sundown will be the winner."
"Do we get gas masks or anything?" Abigail asked.
"And what happens if more than one person makes it to the end?" Rebekah added.
"Both are good questions!" Chris began. "There is exactly one hidden gas mask in the resort. You'll be able to start looking for it when the challenge starts. As for the unlikely event of multiple players lasting until time's up, they will be given immunity, but there will be a tiebreaker to determine who gets the vote."
"Sounds simple enough," Ilyria let out. "May the best player win this challenge."
"I told you it was!" Chris grinned. "Now, we have about two hours until the challenge starts, so enjoy your breakfast, plan your next moves, talk to whoever you want. As long as you're all inside before the challenge starts."
As some of the teens dispersed, Demetrius looked over at Walter, giving the soldier a firm nod that Walter reciprocated.
Lin climbed up into one of the many trees within the tropical forest a bit further away from the resort, her eyes scanning the area for anything that looked even remotely out of place.
"If I can get a good vantage point then I should be able to at least get a better idea of the terrain, I've already ruled out the base of the mountain. If I can't find it now I should check the beaches next." She thought to herself. "Now, if I do find one, what should I do with it? Guess it depends on which one I find. That Chris statue gives me a good safety net in case someone wants me gone. If I can find the Chef Idol then I could get rid of some major players and people who've bugged me. Demetrius is too shady; Joseph, Walter, and Butch are all way too tough for me to beat outside of super specific instances like the VR challenge without some sort of strategy; lastly there's Brittany, who deserves to go after she made Terra cry!"
Now lost in her thoughts, Lin sat on the branch of the tree and looked off into the distance.
"Then there's the others. Abigail and Fernando are an item now, so they'll probably have each others' backs, even if Fernando is super shady too. Dante's a wild card, he's been acting super weird just like a lot of the others. Depending on what he does next, I may have to take him out soon. As for Rebekah, she's kind of just been hanging back like I was. She might just be my best bet for a potential ally."
The street urchin was brought out of her thoughts by the sight of Walter walking along the dirt path just under the tree she was sitting in. The soldier dug through nearby bushes and looked through the other plants with a clear focus in his eyes.
"Great, now I know that both Joseph and Walter are looking for the idols." Lin grumbled to herself. "As if things weren't already difficult…"
Pool for Fools
Johan cautiously walked Avalanche over to the poolside area, putting the canine's food and water bowls in a safe area.
Avalanche immediately went over to her food, eating from it.
Lucille noticed the dog. "Guess Chris has some sort of challenge in mind where it might affect Avalanche?"
"Probably," Miguel muttered. "I grew up on a farm with dogs as well, so I can handle things if Avalanche might want to attack."
"Here's hoping that dog won't attack," Spikke let out.
"Aww, I'm sure she'll be fine!" Shauna cooed, carefully walking over to Avalanche and giving her a gentle scratch behind the ears.
Avalanche stiffened a bit, before relaxing, and continuing to eat.
"So what do you think they need the whole building for?" Jerusha asked.
"I dunno, but here's hoping Joseph can win this," Lucille smiled.
"Well we're about to find out, looks like Chris is ready to start." Trish said, pointing to a large tv screen showing the hotel interior.
The doors and the exits to the hotel would give off a warning that the doors were closing shortly.
"Contestants! 8 minutes until the doors close! Get back inside, ASAP!" Chris announced on the loudspeakers.
Ilyria would go over to Joseph. "Since there's only one gas mask, I've got a little something to help," she began. The taller teen raised an eyebrow at the spy, giving her a skeptical look.
"Don't worry, it's something helpful," Ilyria reassured him, pulling out a set of nose plugs. "These bad boys are small enough to let us breathe properly, and block out the gas. We can also speak normally, unlike most nose plugs."
Joseph took one of the plugs and began inspecting it, looking even more skeptical.
"If you're plugging your nose wouldn't that mean you'd have to breathe from your mouth? If not then is there some kind of filter in these things?"
"Yeah, there's a filter, but it's really small. However, I've used these a bunch of times," Ilyria smiled, putting her own set in her nose. They really were invisible, as if nothing was plugged up in her nose.
"So you're going to cheat then?" Joseph scoffed, handing the spy back her plugs. "I figured you'd be better than that."
"It's not cheating," Ilyria said. "Besides, there's only one gas mask. This will help me, until I find that mask."
"If you find it at all. Good luck."
Ilyria sighed as she pocketed the nose plugs handed back to her. Her frustration turned to confusion when she saw Lin running back inside, Walter coming in soon after.
"Lin? Are you okay?" Ilyria asked.
"Peachy. Just lost track of time while I was out." She replied, glancing at Walter as the soldier walked over to Demetrius and Butch, who were waiting for Chris away from the others.
"Status report?" Demetrius looked at Walter.
"I think I may have found it, but I wasn't able to grab it before I had to come back here."
"Well done. We'll find it after the challenge then," Demetrius smirked.
"Okay! And it's time to start the challenge in three….two….one!" Chris blew an airhorn, as the gas slowly began coming into the room. The very air itself seemed to begin having a purple tint as the gas seeped into the air, the eleven teens all scrambled away from the mist in different directions.
Rebekah and Lin
The tomboy was plugging her nose with her fingers as she was trying to find the gas mask.
"Do you really think that'll work?" Lin asked.
"Hopefully," Rebekah let out with a mutter.
"Doesn't look like the gas has really reached this room yet. In the meantime there's something we need to talk about."
"Oh?" Rebekah unplugged her nose. "About what?"
"About the others. We're pretty much the only ones without any allies. Everyone else is either in some sort of alliance or chooses not to be in one."
"I've noticed," Rebekah nodded.
"So here's what I'm suggesting. You and I can team up and take out one of the major players. If we can take out someone like Demetrius or possibly even Joseph or Brittany, we might have a better chance in this game."
"I'm down…but what's in it for me?" Rebekah raised an eyebrow.
"Well, what do you want?"
"For you to not vote for me if you win. I'll do the same if I win," Rebekah replied.
"Well only the winner of the challenges gets to vote, and if we're going to be in an alliance I wouldn't have a reason to vote for you. Tell you what though, if one of us finds the Alexis Idol, then we'll use it on each other. Deal?"
"Deal," the tomboy responded.
Fernando and Abigail
"Where could that gas mask be?" Abigail muttered as she began to look around. "It has to be somewhere…"
"It could be anywhere!" Fernando grumbled. "This entire building is going to be full of knockout gas soon and we need to work fast! Who knows what this stuff could do to us!"
"Chris did say that it's not lethal," the former child star responded.
"Maybe, but we still don't know if its dangerous in other ways."
"Yeah, you're right," Abigail let out. "Where should we search next?"
"Hmm… maybe we should check back in the penthouse?"
"Oh? Any other reason why?" Abigail smiled playfully.
"Well… it would give us some alone time." Fernando replied, returning the playful smile.
"Sounds good. Let's go," Abigail grinned, taking his hand.
Joseph
The tribal chief waited as the elevator ascended back up the what used to be the floor the Flamingo team resided on. As he stepped out onto the hallway floor, he looked around and listened for anyone else before silently sighing in relief at the silence that he was answered with.
"Now comes the annoying part…" He told himself as he entered the first bedroom and began searching for the gas mask.
There was nothing in the first room, nothing out of place either.
Ilyria and Butch
The spy would be looking around for the gas mask with Butch looking rather annoyed.
"I can do this on my own y'know…" He grumbled.
"We're a couple, we need to work together," Ilyria responded.
"Doesn't mean we need to be together 24/7."
"You're acting colder than usual," Ilyria turned to him. "What's going on, Butch?"
"Nothin', just feels like everywhere I go someone else has to be there. Now that I think about it, it's that way for a lot of us."
"Is that so?" Ilyria raised an eyebrow. "You've been hanging with Demetrius a lot more lately, and it's getting really suspicious."
"I think him and Walter are just cool guys, that's all."
Ilyria huffed. "Just cool guys, you say?"
"Yeah, pretty much." Butch shrugged. "That a problem?"
"It's very suspicious," Ilyria narrowed her eyes. "Just like Lucille's wheelchair going missing…"
"Ah, you're just being paranoid! Relax!"
"How can I, when she was medically evacuated?" Ilyria demanded. "Something's fishy, and I think it has Demetrius written all over it."
"Look, I'm sure the wheelchair will turn up eventually. I'm sure Chris or Chef just took it to be a jerk or something."
"Hopeless. Utterly hopeless," Ilyria muttered, as she would walk on ahead.
"Ugh, whatever." Butch grumbled walking in a different direction.
Demetrius and Walter
"Seems that things aren't going well with Butch's task," the hypnotist muttered.
"So what should we do?" Walter asked. "Dante also seemed keen on not joining us as well."
"I need to have a few words with Butch," Demetrius glowered. "He cannot fail in his task."
"May I ask what you intend to talk to him about?"
"Simple, his task, and making sure that spy doesn't catch on to our plan," Demetrius replied. "But anyways, have you been able to make a move on figuring out how to get Joseph out?"
"I would have thought Lucille being out of the game would have had a negative impact on his psyche, but he seems to be more focused than before. I fear that he may be even more difficult to take out now."
"I see…" Demetrius muttered. "Very well. Continue to focus on that."
Joseph
After having searched through the entirety of the old Flamingo rooms, the former captain wiped his brow as the gas started to take its toll on him. His vision began to blur ever so slightly, but the young man remained standing as he walked back to the elevator and pressed the button to go to the Peacock's floor.
As he arrived onto the lower floor, the air was tinted with a deep purple as he could feel the amount of gas already making him lightheaded. With a low curse, Joseph ran into the first room he could to begin his search.
*Confessional*
Joseph: "I wasn't expecting the gas to get that strong that fast. Heh, if it hit me that hard then I doubt Ilyria's faring any better."
*End Confessional*
Fernando, Abigail and Damiano
The young couple would be in bed, half undressed, after a passionate makeout session.
"Wow," Abigail grinned, her arm draped over the male model, who had a proud smile on his face.
"Your lips are as soft as pillows, my dear."
She giggled, quickly pecking his lips. "And your lips are as soft as strawberries."
The door to their room opened suddenly as Damiano entered and grimaced upon seeing the two.
"Oh for God's sake…" He growled. "I came up here to be alone!"
"Dante, come on," Abigail pouted as she and Fernando began to get up from their spot on the bed. Just as they did though, Damiano turned around and slammed the door to the room shut.
"Ugh!" Abigail let out, annoyed.
"Oh, don't mind him. Jealousy is such a cruel mistress."
"Are you sure?" Abigail glanced at him.
"Of course!" Fernando huffed. "And if he wants to behave like a child, then perhaps it's time he left this game."
"Only if one of us wins, of course," Abigail reminded him.
"Yes, of course." Fernando nodded. "Speaking of which, we should… get back to…"
The model couldn't even finish as the effects of the knockout gas brought the boy to sleep.
"Fernando!" Abigail let out, but soon passed out herself due to the gas, falling on top of him.
"Fernando and Abigail are out of the challenge!" Chris announced on the loudspeaker.
Rebekah and Lin
The tomboy heard the loudspeaker. "Figures those two would be out first."
"Two down, eight left to go." Lin noted. "The gas is starting to get stronger too, it might just be me but I'm starting to feel a bit woozy."
"So…am…I…" Rebekah yawned.
"Hey, no, none of that." The street urchin urged, pinching Rebekah's arm. "Don't pass out on me now."
"I'm trying…but it's so damn hard," Rebekah muttered. The two entered the dining room, Lin carrying Rebekah into the room as the tomboy struggled to stay standing. Several dishes sat in the center of the tables with metallic covers on them.
"Sure, that's not obvious at all…" Lin groaned.
"I don't think we should lift them…" Rebekah muttered.
"You think it's a trap?"
"Knowing McLean, it probably is…" the tomboy responded, yawning again. Lin could see Rebekah's eyes beginning to droop down ever so slightly.
"Well, it's not like we have any… better ideas…" She replied, her own eyes growing heavy. As she approached one of the tables, she could hear Rebekah drop to the floor behind her. Everything started to become a blur as Lin placed her hand on top of the dish's cover. As she lifted it up she noticed something dark placed upon the plate, but at that point her vision was so obscured she couldn't tell what it was.
Using the last bit of energy she had left, Lin placed the object onto her face and tried to breathe.
And it wasn't a real gas mask, but a fake! A faint scent of chocolate entered Lin's nose before she joined her partner in unconsciousness.
"Damn… you… Chris." She grumbled.
"Lin and Rebekah are out!" Chris gleefully announced over the loudspeaker.
*Confessional*
Alexis: "Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a fake gas mask out of cake? Because it's not easy! But damn it, I made it work!"
*End Confessional*
Brittany
The mob boss would be searching for a real gas mask, but it was difficult, especially with the gas getting stronger than ever before. But unfortunately, the gas would be too strong, knocking her out.
"Brittany is out!" Chris announced on the loudspeaker.
Demetrius, Butch and Walter
The hypnotist managed to catch up with the brute. "You're failing in your task," he hissed, annoyed.
"That spy just wouldn't leave me alone! I know I'm supposed to seduce her, but if none of us win the challenge then we could all be at risk!"
"Figure it out, and quickly. She's getting to be a pain," Demetrius let out, annoyed. "Am I clear?"
"I'll try… boss." Butch replied. The two were suddenly caught off guard by a loud thud. The two turned to Walter, only to find him collapsed onto the floor, the gas having knocked him out too.
"Just fantastic," Demetrius muttered.
"Walter is out!" Chris announced on the loudspeaker.
"We need to find a way to turn off the gas," Demetrius growled. "Any ideas?"
"Is that even possible?"
"There has to be a way!" Demetrius yelled.
Joseph
The tribal chief had now slowed down to a crawl as he continued down the hallway. As he rose up to his feet to grab the doorknob to Terra and Lin's old room, he was able to see that the sun was just beginning to set. Using whatever strength he could muster, Joseph pushed the door open and collapsed back down to his knees afterwards. As he slowly crawled forward, he saw something on Terra's bed but his vision was so distorted that he could barely tell what it was.
Eventually, he was able to reach the item and grab it. With his eyes heavy enough to be fully closed, he put the item on his face…
And it was the real gas mask!
With fresh air beginning to circulate through him, Joseph readjusted the mask and laid down on the floor for a moment, allowing the clean air to wake him up a bit.
"The gas mask has been found! I repeat, the gas mask has been found!" Chris announced.
Ilyria
Upon hearing that the gas mask had been found, the spy rolled her eyes. "Typical." She was still not affected by the gas, due to her nose plugs. If only she could find the machine to turn off the gas…unknown to her, she was being watched by none other than Demetrius and Butch.
"Don't fail me," the hypnotist hissed at the brute. "Go on."
Ilyria still hadn't noticed the two of them, her back facing them. Butch sighed before walking towards Ilyria.
"Hey…" He greeted.
"Butch?" Ilyria turned to him. "What's going on?"
"Look… about earlier… I…"
Ilyria raised an eyebrow. "You what?"
"I'm so-" Butch couldn't even get to finish as the gas finally took its toll on the boy. He collapsed onto the hallway floor in a heap.
Demetrius swore under his breath.
"Butch is out!" Chris announced.
Damiano
"Ergh, it's like everywhere I go that girl is always there! It's bad enough that I can hardly breathe right now, I don't need Dante getting back in control, especially now that that idiot Demetrius released Dante from that hypnosis. Keeping up that facade is another issue."
The elevator Damiano had been in finally stopped back in the lobby. The setting sun mixed in with the purple gas to give the room a very odd color. Damiano was barely able to see a nearby clock.
"I don't know if I can even last for another seven minutes… Damn it…"
As the villainous personality let out an exhausted yawn he was able to see Rebekah and Lin passed out in the mess hall.
"At least I'm not the only one who failed." He said aloud before drifting off into unconsciousness.
"Dante is out!" Chris announced on the loudspeaker.
Ilyria
The spy would soon find the machine sending out the gas. "There has to be an off button somewhere…" she let out, searching all over. She would soon find it, and turn the machine off, watching as the gas faded away. "That should do the trick."
The loudspeaker crackled to life again. "Congrats for making it to sundown, Ilyria. You've won immunity, but you're not the only one still standing. Demetrius and Joseph remain as well."
"Figures," the spy scoffed.
"But unfortunately, turning off the machine was not part of the challenge and turning it off has gotten you disqualified."
"Oh, bloody hell!" the spy groaned, annoyed.
"We're down to two!" Chris announced. "The gas mask has been found and we're down to just five minutes left!"
Demetrius
"So…I'm not the only one left. Figures." the hypnotist let out quietly. Even though the gas was gone, he was still tired. His eyes were getting heavy, as he sat down, and closed them, falling asleep.
"Demetrius is out! Which means the winner of the challenge is…JOSEPH!" Chris announced on the loudspeaker.
Joseph
The Samoan let out a sigh of relief as he removed the mask, a proud and resolute smile on his face.
*Confessional*
Joseph: "Consider that the first of many immunity wins."
*End Confessional*
Pool for Fools
"Yes!" Lucille cheered happily as she watched the TV screen. "I'm so proud of you, Joseph!"
The exits would soon be opened, as Alexis, Chef and Johan would work on waking up the contestants who failed the challenge.
"I suppose for now, you guys can chill by the pool while Joseph has a very tough decision to make," Chris shrugged his shoulders.
Ilyria had removed her nose plugs, as she went over to Butch. "So, what were you about to say?"
"I… uh… Sorry for being such a jerk as of late…" Butch admitted.
"Okay, I'll forgive you," Ilyria kissed his forehead. "Just don't do it again, m'kay?"
"Sure, sure!" Butch said, quickly glancing over at Demetrius, who silently glared at him.
"Do it," he silently mouthed. With a quick nod, Butch kissed Ilyria on the lips.
The spy would be wide-eyed at first, before returning the kiss.
While this was happening, Lucille saw Joseph, and waved him over, a smile growing on her face. "You did it!"
"And I'm going to keep doing it until I win!"
"I'm so proud of you," Lucille gushed.
A bit further away from the others, Damiano sat on a poolside chair, looking up at the stars that were just beginning to form among the setting sun. His view was soon blocked by Abigail.
"Hey, can we talk?" Abigail asked. Damiano grimaced as he looked at her, which she noticed. "This is about me and Fernando isn't it?"
"Ah, there you are!" Fernando called out, as if right on cue. "Honestly, Abigail, dear, you shouldn't have to waste your time on him anymore. Clearly he's shown to be too immature."
"Huh?" Abigail was wide-eyed.
"You want to run that by me again?" Damiano asked, standing up and looking Fernando right in his eyes.
"I'm just saying…" Fernando began as he raised his arms up in defense of himself. "You've been acting like a big baby ever since Abigail and I hooked up. Clearly if you want to be this jealous then she wasn't meant for you anyway!"
By now a few of the others were looking at the three in confusion or anticipation.
"Get me some popcorn, stat!" Chris told Johan, who gave him an annoyed glance before leaving.
"This should be interesting…" Brittany smirked.
"I'm the immature one?" Damiano chuckled. "I'm not the one stringing someone along and I'm not the one who's been trying to overthrow the team captain back when the teams were still around."
"What?!" Abigail said in shock as she looked at Fernando with her eyes as wide as dinner plates and her skin now growing pale. Upon hearing the second part of Damiano's statement, Joseph looked over at the three with his gaze now growing ice cold.
"Don't trust him, my dear Abigail, he's lying to you!" Fernando assured, tiny beads of sweat now dripping from his forehead.
"Oh? Am I?" Damiano continued, getting closer and allowing his piercing gaze to rock Fernando to his core. He wasn't sure why he didn't realize it before but seeing Dante's rather muscular frame made the model feel very unsettled. "And what would I possibly gain from lying? Abigail's affection? Please. You've had her wrapped around your finger from day one! Couple that with those angry little glances you gave Joseph during every team meeting and every time we ate in the dining room, your plan was clear. You wanted full control over everything and you never really cared for Abigail. Honestly, I'm surprised nobody said anything sooner!"
With some nerve coming back to him, Fernando shoved Damiano back into his chair and glared daggers at the boy.
"Screw you, you bastard! I've been trying to keep that secret for weeks now! Do you have any idea how much I planned and prepared?! Acting like some lovey-dovey jackass is hard enough!"
"I can't believe you!" Abigail yelled at the male model. "Someone, go and get my high heels. Now! And make sure this fool doesn't get away!"
"Oh ho ho, with pleasure!" Damiano responded, a sadistic grin growing on his face as he grabbed Fernando, whose face went stark white.
"Already got 'em!" Johan added as he returned with a bowl of popcorn for the hosts and a pair of ruby red high heels.
Abigail thanked the intern, before slipping her shoes off, and putting the heels on, before approaching Fernando.
"A-Abbi, come on! None of that is true!" Fernando laughed nervously.
"We're done. Permanently." With that, she kicked him in his family jewels. Just as everyone began to cheer, Joseph approached the crumpled form of Fernando and hoisted him up with a hand firmly grasped around his neck.
"You wanted to get rid of me? You thought you had control over the team? You really wanted to be some kind of big shot, is that it?" He began.
The joy at seeing Abigail get her revenge was replaced by a chilling silence as everyone listened to Joseph's ominously calm tone.
"Well?" Joseph continued as Fernando began whimpering and stammering a response that never came. "Do you think you're me, is that it? DO YOU THINK YOU'RE ME?!"
The silence only seemed to grow more chilling at the sound of the Samoan's thunderous tone.
"Chris!" Joseph called out.
"Yeah?" the host asked, shivering ever so slightly.
"I'm taking this trash out of the game!"
"Well, good call! Fernando, you're eliminated!" the host exclaimed. "Now then the-"
Chris couldn't get another word out as Joseph suddenly hoisted Fernando up higher and chokeslammed him into a foldable table, which broke under the sudden force.
"Oooh…that's gonna leave a mark," Brittany smirked.
"Well…" Chris continued. "That was certainly one way to eliminate someone! As I was saying though, now that Fernando's eliminated, we're down to only ten players left in the game!"
"Next time, we've got the second aftermath, where the next five eliminated contestants will be interviewed by Maria and Johan," Alexis continued. "How will those interviews go?"
"It'll definitely be an interesting set of interviews, especially after what we just saw." Johan noted.
"Tune in, next time, for Total!" Alexis began. "Drama! HAWAIIAN RESORT!"

LaViolaViolaRosa: While I am a little sad, I'm hoping that Abigail will find true love soon! But anyways, stay tuned for the second aftermath, which is unlucky Episode 13!
Allureon: We'll have some lighthearted comedy to balance out this heavier drama so look forward to that!
