Author's note: I have been without internet for a week. As a writer, that is torture. However, the lovely tamilyn helped me by editing this chapter so that I could use my phone's internet to simply post it.

Going back to school after talking to Kyle gave Taylor a bit more respect for how hard Kate was fighting against her desire to know what was in her file. He wanted to sit down and look through the file. Part of him felt like it was unfair since it was his. He got John's reasoning, but it plagued him and distracted him. Kate felt her emotions much more strongly than he did. He'd make sure to commend her for her efforts. He'd just do it in private so that Dean didn't pick on him about being too nice to her.

Hailey met eyes with Taylor as he walked over to her locker. "What's up?"

Taylor furrowed his eyebrows. "I got lost in thought. I might enjoy tormenting Dean a little more than I should but it is a nice change from growing up with the 'brothers' that I used to have."

Hailey slung her backpack over her shoulder and slammed her locker door. "I can tell he actually likes you guys. I mean, normal siblings should like each other but Heather likes hanging out with me. My other sisters don't so much."

Taylor held his hand out. "Let me carry some of that."

Hailey blushed and handed him the box she was trying to carry. "Thanks. I need to get all of this to the library and then I need to work on the signs. I'm sorry, I can't hang out before practice." Her eyes widened. "Shoot, practice. Uh, I need to call my sister."

Taylor was overwhelmed just watching Hailey. She was frazzled. She had too much on her plate but she didn't want to delegate. He took a chance and asked Dean if Kate could walk over to the high school to help with signs.

Hailey returned to the library and grabbed a bag from the table. She ran out with it and left Taylor standing by himself.

Taylor took a deep breath. He hoped that she didn't get angry at him.

Kate jogged over to the high school as soon as she was released. She found Taylor in the library and asked what was going on.

Taylor tracked Hailey down. He got her attention. "I hope you don't mind. I called Kate because she is an artist. I figured she and I could handle the signs."

Hailey's eyes lit up. She tiptoed and kissed him. "Thanks. You're amazing."

Taylor blushed and went back to Kate. "I guess she wants signs for the upcoming pep rally."

Kate raised an eyebrow. "Signs? You didn't ask what she wanted on them?" She rolled her eyes. "Men." She found Hailey and asked for details, although she took the liberty of reading her. She went back to the library and started going through supplies. "Where is the art room?"

Taylor walked her down the hall. He knocked on the art room door and hoped that the teacher was there.

A woman in a bright green dress opened the door with a smile. "Well, hello, Taylor, what can I do for you?"

Taylor nodded toward Kate. "She is helping Hailey with some signs. I think she may need something."

Kate's eyes were drawn to the walls of the room. Each wall was a giant mural. "Oh, uh, do you have spare paint?"

Taylor was sent to gather the signs and supplies so that Kate could work on them in the art room.

Kate liked the art teacher right away. She was in heaven with all of the supplies that the room had to offer. "I was thinking about doing one with the mascot swooping in like it is about to grab its prey."

The teacher, Ms. Cole, smiled. "Do you need to print out a photo?"

"No, I can freehand it." Kate said. She placed a large sign on the table and got to work with her sketch.

The teacher helped by painting the backgrounds of the other signs the way that Kate wanted. She saw Kate pick up a plate of paint and looked over her shoulder. "Wow, you weren't kidding. That is quite the sketch."

Kate grinned. "Thanks. It will look cool once I'm done." She pointed to a spot between the eagle's talons. "They can leave this blank or hang a cutout of the other team's mascot here."

Ms. Cole let Kate do her thing. She felt that every child was an artist but Kate's passion was refreshing. Most of her high school students felt like art was a waste of time. "How old are you?"

Kate chewed the end of her paintbrush. "12."

"You are incredibly gifted. Have you ever entered a contest?" Ms. Cole asked.

Kate looked up at her. "No, ma'am."

Ms. Cole smiled and printed off a sheet of paper. "There is one coming up. I'd be more than happy to enter some of your work, alongside my students'."

"That would be so cool. I'll start working on stuff when I get home!" She switched paint colors and worked quickly to finish the eagle. He looked fierce, just like she had planned. She felt her phone buzz and answered it. "Hey, Dean. Yep, I'm in the art room. You can just pick me up when you pick Taylor up."

Ms. Cole asked about Kate's family after she got off the phone. She enjoyed having Taylor in class but didn't know much about him. She did, however, remember David.

Kate pulled a face. "David is a bit of a jerk."

Ms. Cole nodded. "Taylor is much better suited to have you as a sibling."

"He's cool. I went from no brothers to three so it is an adjustment." Kate said. She finished the details on the big sign and started on a second one. She was in the zone and didn't realize how much time had went by. She heard her name and looked up. "Dean."

"I don't see how you paint like that." Dean said, motioning to how Kate was half laying on the table, propping her head up with her elbow. "Taylor is almost done. Are you ready?"

Kate looked at the signs and then at the teacher.

"Go on, I'll set these out to dry." The teacher said. "You can finish them tomorrow if you'd like."

Kate thanked her and skipped after Dean. "Did you see my eagle?"

Dean smiled. "I did. I bet that would scare the pants off the cats."

Kate rolled her eyes. "Cats don't wear pants."

Dean put his arm over her shoulders as they walked. He paused and wiped a few speckles of paint from her face. "You looked happy."

"I was. Did you see all of those paints? I could spend weeks in there. Oh, here is an application for a competition." Kate said.

Dean read it. "Sounds good. Tell me what you need and I'll drive you to the store."

Kate felt a brief surge of anxiety, much like a string on a guitar being brushed. She recognized it as one of Taylor's feelings and frowned. She replaced her frown with a smile as she forgot about the feeling and thought about what type of art she was going to enter into the competition.

Taylor saw Hailey talking to one of the other players. She gave him what looked like money and slipped something into her backpack. Taylor furrowed his eyebrows. That didn't look good at all.

Hailey skipped over to Taylor. "Hey, I wanted to have a chance to say goodbye before I have to run. I've got to drop off canned goods at the pantry and I have to get some stuff for the rally."

Taylor tilted his head. "Can't anyone else do some of that?"

"Well, I said I would. It is okay. Did the signs get finished? I can work on that before school."

Kate had just gotten close enough to hear their conversation and smiled. "Signs are almost done. Ms. Cole said I could finish them tomorrow. I hope you like them."

Hailey hoped she liked them too. If not, she would have to stay up to fix them. "I can look at them before I leave."

Taylor gently grabbed her arm. "Wait. We can take the stuff to the pantry."

Hailey grinned and jumped to hug him. "Oh my god. You are seriously the best." She told Taylor where to get the stuff and ran off to look at the signs.

Dean rubbed his neck. "I think I got whiplash from watching her."

Taylor grimaced. "I think she signed up for too many things."

Kate smirked. "Fear not, her knight in shining armor is here to save the day."

Taylor playfully shoved her. "I'm just being nice."

Dean helped Taylor load boxes into the car. "Why am I getting volunteered to help?"

Taylor shrugged. "I could have asked but you didn't look busy."

Dean flicked his ear. "I would be if I wasn't waiting around for you two."

After the boxes were dropped at the community pantry, Taylor felt like it was a good time to bring up the files. "So, did dad find anything in that file that Kyle gave him?"

"He is still working on it." Dean said.

"So he did find something. Was it proof? What is in it?" Taylor asked.

Dean sighed. "He will share when he is ready."

Kate crossed her arms. "He has had my file for weeks and hasn't told me anything."

Dean pinched the bridge of his nose. "Again, he will when he is ready."

Taylor dropped it because he didn't want Kate to get riled up. He was actually tired from the day and ready to eat dinner and get some rest.

John expected Taylor to ask about the file but was thankful that he didn't. He wasn't done looking through it, but he also knew he couldn't tell Taylor what his held without telling Kate about hers. Once they were in bed, he sat in his usual chair and had Bobby assist him with scouring the file. Taylor didn't talk much about his childhood. Judging by some of the documents in the file, it was far worse than any of them had thought. He didn't know if Taylor was unaware or just never admitted how dark things were. He dreaded those conversations. With Sam or Dean, they would storm off, maybe break something and yell if they were truly angry. He had two super charged nephilian that were both hurting and would both be angry if he told them what he had found. He needed to find a way to break the news without tearing another hole in space and time. He finished his beer. Normal teenagers were so much easier.

(Charlie)

Charlie had a spreadsheet to organize the files with. She had fallen down the rabbit hole of obituaries and felt a sense of hopelessness.

Marie noticed right away that their chipper Charlie was not her usual spunky self. She asked her about it.

"Those files we stole. I kind of wanted to see what happened to those people. I looked at obituaries and several files ended the day the person died." Charlie said.

Marie squeezed her knee gently. "I suppose all doctors would end a chart if the person passes away."

"Yeah but these kids were seemingly healthy toddlers." Charlie said.

Marie moved so that Charlie could rest her head on her shoulder. She gently patted Charlie's arm and soothed her. "Death is something we all face. I do not know what happened to those children. I do know that you can't dwell on it. You can't help them now. However, what you are doing, research and computer work, will help us find out what really happened. Perhaps you should stay away from the obituaries."

Charlie turned her head and furrowed her brows when a small 'ah dammit.' came from the kitchen.

Marie got up to check on Krissy. "Surely I didn't hear what I thought I heard coming from your mouth."

Krissy licked her arm where chocolate milk had spilled out of the overfilled cup. "I made a mess." She gave Marie her best puppy eyes and fluttered her eyelashes.

Marie smiled. "I see that. Let's use a wet cloth to clean this up."

Krissy spilled some more as she sat the cup down. "Charlie got me chocolate milk when I was sad. Now she is sad."

Marie poured some of the milk into another cup. "That is very sweet of you. I'm sure she will like that."

Charlie joined them in the kitchen so that Krissy wasn't tempted to carry the cup any further. She thanked Krissy with a smile. "This is just what I needed."

Marie gave Krissy the smaller cup and finished mopping off the splotches of chocolate from the floor.

Krissy was content with Charlie since she wasn't actually stealing Rod and Marie away from her. She even got to call them Nana and Grandpa like Taylor did. Ben and the twins didn't get to do that and that suited Krissy. Ben was stinky and she was tired of playing with him.

Marie spotted a few wet spots in Krissy's hair and sighed. "Tonight will be a hair wash night."

Krissy snapped her head around to look at Marie. She hated having her hair washed. She'd rather die.

Marie was prepared for the protest. "You have milk in your hair."

Charlie had witnessed Krissy's hatred for getting her hair washed. She was shocked the first time because she thought that the water had been too hot or something. She tapped the table. "Do you know the little mermaid?"

Krissy nodded.

Charlie shook her head to move her hair. "If you lay down in water, you can do this and it is like having mermaid hair. I used to do that a lot when I was younger."

Krissy considered this new thought. She took a deep breath and fidgeted in her seat. "I will try it."

Marie was hopeful. If it went as poorly as it usually did, she would just make it quick. Five year old Taylor hated having his hair washed as well. Taylor did not put up the fight that Krissy did though. Krissy was about a thousand times more fiery than the gentle spoken five year old that Taylor was.

(Bobby's house)

Taylor tossed Kate one of his jerseys. "Does this smell? I can't tell?"

Kate held it up and took a deep breath before gagging.

Taylor laughed and dodged the jersey as it got thrown back at him.

Dean was standing in the doorway. "You fell for the oldest trick in the book."

Kate sprayed some of her body spray around her. "I thought we were beyond that. I literally saved your skin."

"Hailey's skin." Taylor corrected. "Although I don't know why she can't have someone else do some stuff. There are other people on her squad."

Dean shrugged. "Lights out in 30."

"Isn't it early?" Kate asked.

"Just a little. Dad wants some time to research in peace." Dean said, gently.

"Right, research." Taylor said.

Kate fell back onto her bed. "Why do you never tell me bedtime stories anymore?"

Taylor tossed a pillow at her. "Because you aren't a toddler."

Kate sat up and threw the pillow back. "Dean has the best bedtime stories."

Taylor tossed the stinky jersey back at her and skirted around Dean. He clapped him on the back. "You can tell her a bedtime story and tuck her into bed. I'm going to shower."

Dean flicked him before he could get out of arm's reach. He decided to sit down on Kate's bed and wiggle her foot. "Bedtime story, huh?"
Kate smiled. "I'm 12, not 22."

Dean leaned back onto his elbows and looked up at the ceiling. "How are you?"

"Pleasantries?" Kate asked.

"I'm asking how you are holding up. You seem to be in a pretty good mood but I know you mask it sometimes. I don't want to assume you are doing fine and you spiral." Dean said.

"I'm okay. I am frustrated that I'm grounded from this stuff. I'm frustrated that I can't see my file. I'm frustrated that you guys closed the rift. I'm just trying to make it through a school day without dying from boredom. I'm okay though. I am excited for this art show and contest. I've been thinking about what I want to do." Kate said.

"What is that?" Dean asked.

"Well, paint or sketch, obviously. I want to do more than one thing. Dad took everything else so I have tons of free time to paint." Kate said, looking down at her hands. "Anyway, I want to do one bigger piece that represents how I see time."

Dean furrowed his eyebrows. "How are you going to do that?"

"I want to make a frame that is kind of like a cube. Then, I want to use plastic wrap to paint splotches and lines on. I'll layer those so that once they are all together, you can look from one angle and see something." Kate explained. "I have to ask Ms. Cole about a few things but a small fan could be on the side and the wrap could have enough slack that it waves a little. I think that would kind of show how I see time."

Dean blinked slowly. "Kid, I thought you were going to enter some sketches."

Kate grinned. "I will. Oh! What if I used string instead of plastic wrap! I could make a really detailed web and still have the figure."

Dean groaned. "What do you need me to do?"

Kate held up her hands to show Dean an approximate size. "Can you build a cube? You just need skinny rods or something so that most of the area is clear."

"I think I can manage a square. Anything plastic wrap, paint or string related, you are on your own for." Dean said.

Kate hugged him and flipped her blanket back to get into bed. She propped herself up with her pillow and laced her fingers together, placing them on her lap. "Okay, bedtime story."

Dean chuckled. "I think I used all of my stories."

Kate chewed her lip. "Tell me about a time when you felt proud of yourself."

Dean rubbed his head. "Oh no. You had to make this difficult."

"Nope. You tell us when you are proud of us. You kind of assume you're always doing the wrong thing so I want you to tell me when you were proud of yourself." Kate said.

Dean moved his arms to cross them over his chest. He studied the pattern on the ceiling for a minute and sighed. "When dad left me at that house for boys, I wrestled. It was my first time doing something like that on an actual team. I won a few bouts and then won overall at the regional competition. I couldn't believe that it was real life. I got a trophy. I think that was the first time I honestly felt proud."

Kate sat up to pat his arm. "I bet you were amazing."

Dean wondered if Sonny still had that trophy. When he was there, it had been displayed on a shelf. He needed to give him a call. "Alright, it is bedtime."

Kate frowned. "It hasn't been 30 minutes. I want another story."

Dean moved his feet so he didn't trip Taylor as he was walking back into the room. "Nope, one story was all I had."

Kate fell back onto her pillow. "I'll expect another tomorrow night. That will give you an entire day to think of one. Same kind."

Dean raised an eyebrow. "Who told you that you were in charge here?"

Kate rolled onto her side. "When I am down on myself, you force me to write down or say good things about myself."

Dean grimaced. "I never realized how annoying that is."

Kate nodded. "So, I expect stories."

Taylor sat down on his bed. "If you are going to have to think the entire day, you may be a vegetable by bedtime."

Dean scooted down to reach Taylor with his foot. He lightly kicked his leg and sat up. "I'm going to go tell dad that your attitude is crap."

Taylor smirked. "He'd just get mad at you for interrupting him."

Dean cracked his knuckles. "You are lucky I don't have a belt on."

Kate sat up quickly. "Your room is like two steps away." She squeaked when a pillow crashed into her face.

Dean grabbed the pillow and hit Taylor with it. "Kate was being very sweet and you soured it."

Taylor fluffed his pillow and placed it at the head of his bed. "I was saving you from a chick flick moment."

Dean snorted and turned off their light. "Don't be annoying."

Kate scooted down under her blanket and patted her bed for Millie. "Goodnight."

Dean smiled. "Goodnight."

(The next day)

Kate dreamt about art the whole night. Maybe some of the dreams were visions but they didn't leave her exhausted. She had big ideas that she needed to squish down to fit into the small idea boxes that other people seemed to view the world through. Art gave her a creative outlet. The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to create a representation of time. She wasn't able to explain to Dean how she saw pieces of Karen before they brought her back to earth. She could remember a time before she could see those things. How could she explain a color to someone that would never be able to see it? She could create art.

Taylor stretched. "Uh, before you go downstairs. Going back to school, knowing that Kyle gave dad my file... well it sucked. I get why you are so frustrated."

Kate gave him a small smile. "Thanks."

Taylor shuffled his feet against the rug on the floor. "I don't know what dad has planned but I can ask him not to share my information until he shares yours."

Kate tilted her head. "Why would you do that?"

"Solidarity." Taylor said. "Just promise me you won't do anything dumb. That would kind of defeat the purpose."

Kate rolled her eyes. "Lower your expectations."

"Hey, the freak stuff interests me too. You need to toe the line so you can get ungrounded. I want to find a solution to this and we all know we won't get anywhere until you are back in the game." Taylor said.

Dean cleared his throat. "Is that so?"

Taylor whipped his head around. "You've gotten better at appearing out of thin air. Dad will be proud."

Dean smirked. "Stealth. I appreciate that you are trying to encourage her to be good but you could have a little more faith in us."

Kate flashed a grin. "So you have made progress without me?"

Dean pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm bowing out of this."

Taylor stood up and stretched, cracking his back. He shook his legs out and smoothed his hair down. "I will probably help Hailey after school."

"I have to finish the signs." Kate said.

"Noted. Don't pick you up until after practice." Dean said. "That gives me more time to have a life." He shot them both a glare. "If either of you makes a comment, you're walking to school."

"That isn't a threat because I can teleport." Kate said.

Dean lightly smacked the side of her head. "It may have been easier to threaten Sammy with that kind of stuff." He smelled food and turned to go out the door. "I'm leaving in 15 minutes. Either be ready or find alternative transportation."

John and Bobby had a lot to think about with the information that Kyle provided. It brought their morale down and neither knew what to do with the information.

"Just a heads up. Sparky decided you have to spill about Kate's file before you can tell him about his." Dean said.

John raised an eyebrow.

Taylor jumped down the stairs. "One, if you call me that, I get to shock you. Two, out of respect for Kate, I don't feel as though it would be fair for you to tell me when you have had hers file for a longer period of time."

Dean narrowed his eyes in warning so that Taylor didn't zap him.

John took a large sip of his coffee. He nodded once and studied Taylor. "I have not finished reviewing your file."

Taylor grabbed a plate for food. "I guess he had a lot to round up."

John didn't respond, not feeling a need to. He tapped a page in his journal with the tip of his pen. "I will be gone today and tomorrow. I should make it back before your game."

"Hunt?" Taylor asked.

"Vamps." John answered.

"Are you going alone?" Kate asked. "Dean could help you."

Dean did really want to go on the hunt. John just tended to assume that he was going to stay back and watch the kids.

John raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to go?"

Dean said he did. "You two can find a way home after practice, right?"

"I'll pick them up." Karen said.

Dean nudged Kate. "Are you going to keep it together if we are gone overnight?"

Kate rolled her eyes. "Yes. It is for the greater good of the family. You are less grumpy when you hunt."

Dean clapped John on the shoulder before he went to get his duffle. "Your kids are out of control and I think you should fix that."

Taylor's mouth dropped open. "Kid. Not kids."

Dean karate chopped him in the side. "You act like you haven't been a pain in my ass lately."

Taylor shrugged. "It is one of the joys in my life."

Dean looked from Taylor to John. "See what I mean?"

Kate gathered her school stuff and a few artsy things. She couldn't leave the signs to be boring or normal. They had to be the best signs anyone had ever created. "I'll walk over to your school after I get out. I'll just head straight to the art room but I'll send you a message."

"Send me one too." Karen said.

"I will." Kate said. She waited by the door for Karen to grab her own stuff so that she could take them to school. She wished she could skip the school day and go straight to painting signs. She also wished that they were homeschooled so that she could zip through a bunch of coursework and be able to ignore school for a few weeks at a time. Science was the only thing she found interesting as it wasn't just memorizing information. She had to be careful though. The temptation to continue her studies at school, instead of the lab, was strong. She just needed to control herself for a bit longer so that John would allow her to research again. The school had microscopes but the lab had many more things that were essential to study blood components and freak saliva. She counted to ten in her head. If she didn't change the subject she was going to obsess

Taylor was as bored with school as Kate was. Freshman classes were easy and a few were a repeat from the previous year. He found solace in helping Nate keep his grades up. Explaining something to someone else required more thought than sitting in a chair, listening to a teacher explain the same thing.

Hailey was in a tizzy that day as well. The last pep rally of the season was supposed to be eventful. The cheer team learned a new routine and Heather had put Hailey in charge of several aspects of the rally.

Taylor spotted Hailey and got her attention. "You look... frazzled."

Hailey didn't make eye contact with him as her body was determined to continue on the path she had been walking. "I need to drop this design off in the library so that it can be printed on paper to make flags. Then, I have to plan out where to put these posters so that the student section can hold them above their heads and it will look like our team name from the other stands."

Taylor thought her eyes were shaking and he could feel her heartbeat through her arm. "Are you doing okay?"

"Yeah, totally. I just have to get this stuff done." Hailey said.

"Did you sleep last night?" Taylor asked.

"Uh, I think a few hours. It is okay though. I'm not sleepy. I just have a few minutes between classes and have to drop things off so that I can pick them up between other classes." Hailey said.

Taylor took the first design from her. "I'll drop this one off."

Hailey kissed his cheek. "Thanks."

Taylor furrowed his brows when she shuffled away. Hailey was always bubbly but she was down right jittery. How much coffee had she downed before school?

Kate slid into the hallway and tossed her books into her locker.

Hannah caught her. "Where are you going?"

Kate grinned. "Highschool. I am helping with signs."

Hannah smiled. "Okay. I can't wait to see them."

Kate ran out the door and hustled over to the high school. She skipped down the hallway and knocked on Ms. Cole's door. The smell of paint made her heart happy.

Ms. Cole pulled the signs out and placed them on the art tables. "Have you thought about the contest?"

Kate excitedly told her about the string art and a few other projects.

"Oh my. I haven't had anyone this excited for art in a long time."

Kate shook the paint pen in her hand. "It is my favorite thing to do."

Taylor helped Hailey with a few things before practice. He couldn't shake the feeling he had in his stomach. "Hailey, you seem really jittery."

Hailey put a hand to her chest. Her heart was beating out of her chest. "Too much caffeine."

"Maybe you should sit out during practice." Taylor said.

"No can do. Everything has to be perfect." Hailey said.

Taylor let it go and went through the motions of practice. He tried not to be one on one with his coach, knowing that he may have more questions to ask.

Kate was completely done with the signs by the end of practice and was pleased with how they turned out. Ms. Cole's admiration was also nice to have. She took the signs outside, one by one, to spray them with a varnish that would keep the paint from cracking. If she had it her way, they'd be able to reuse the signs for years.

Taylor met up with Hailey to see if she needed more help. She looked tired and was slowing down.

Hailey just wanted to sleep but the game and rally were too close for her to do that. She let Taylor carry a few heavy things and refilled her water bottle inside the school. She dug around in her backpack and brought her hand to her mouth.

Taylor grabbed her wrist, although somewhat gently. "What is that?"

Hailey startled. "What?"

"What are you taking?" Taylor asked.

Hailey stared at him.

Taylor groaned. "I'm not trying to be a jerk."

Hailey sighed. "Caffeine pill. It is like coffee but not bitter."

Taylor was a little shocked. "Those can be dangerous for someone your size. I get trying to get stuff done but how many have you had today?"

Hailey's face was red. "Just one this morning."

Taylor turned her hand over. "Where did you get these? From Baker?"

Hailey nodded. "I know it is dumb. It is just caffeine though. My parents would let me drink coffee."

Taylor got a good look at the pill.

Kate felt Taylor pushing into her head and saw an image of a hand with a pill in it. He wanted to know what the pill was. She had done extensive research into drugs and medications and knew it was Adderall.

Taylor got his answer within moments and looked at Hailey. "That isn't a caffeine pill. That is Adderall, for ADHD."

Hailey gasped and dropped the pill as though it had burned her. She covered her mouth with her hands and tears pooled in her eyes.

"Did he tell you it was just caffeine?" Taylor asked.

Hailey nodded. "I swear. I would never take something like that. Oh my god. I am so stupid."

Taylor shoved the pill into his pocket. He hugged Hailey to him. "You aren't stupid."

Hailey was quickly becoming hysterical. She was a good girl and prided herself on staying away from things that normal teenagers got into.

Taylor asked Kate to stay with Hailey while he went to talk to Baker.

Kate found them in the cafeteria. "What is wrong?"

Taylor gritted his teeth. "Show her the signs. I'm going to go find Josh Baker."

Kate pushed into his head. 'I was joking about you doing something stupid.'

Taylor pushed back. 'I'm just going to talk to him. He gave her Adderall and said it was caffeine.'

Kate swallowed hard. The flash of blue in his eyes told her how angry he was. She put her arm around Hailey and guided her down the hallway. Whatever Taylor was going to do, Josh probably had it coming anyway.
