Ra's Al Ghul
After learning that Bruce Wayne was abducted by Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins, Ethan have called the Bat Family, Catwoman, Delta, and Iwao. He even called Nezu, All Might, and Aizawa. They were now inside of the Batcave, after Ethan gave them an explanation that Bruce Wayne is taken by the League of Assassins and their leader, Ra's Al Ghul. James, Emily, and Lita were stunned that Ra's Al Ghul was still alive after all these years.
"I can't believe it! Ra's Al Ghul is still alive!?" Emily exclaims in disbelief. "I thought the League of Assassins are dealt with..."
"It sounds like he still got unfinished business with Bruce." Iwao states with a ponder, turns to his nephew. "So, who is this Ra's Al Ghul?"
"Ra's Al Ghul is an international eco-terrorist and a leader of the League of Assassins. His lifespan has been extended for hundreds of years because he found the Lazarus Pit and achieved immortality." Ethan explains, showing the image of Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins. "Both Bruce and Ra's met and fought many times decades ago."
Both Iwao and Tamao were shocked of Ra's Al Ghul's background and how the first Batman fought. Even though they never heard of the leader of the League of Assassins which to the UA Faculty members, it's new.
"And you think this Ra's Al Ghul character kidnapped Mr. Wayne why?" Aizawa inquires.
"Bruce and Talia had a son by secret and not telling Ra's Al Ghul." Ethan answered, showing the image of Damian Wayne. "His name is Damian Wayne, he's the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul."
"Wait, what?! That's Bruce's son and Talia is the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul?! They're sworn enemies!" Aizawa exclaims in disbelief.
"It got complicated. Talia first met Bruce and fell in love when Ra's Al Ghul has plans for him. Ra's was making sure that Bruce is suitable for becoming the next leader of the League of Assassins. His daughter was in love with Bruce and Ra's Al Ghul was willing to give him her hand in marriage if proving to be a worthy successor." James explains.
"Did he...?" All Might muttered shockingly.
"No, Bruce wasn't the type on killing mercilessly when he come up with 'no killing' code." Lita answered.
'So, Mr. Wayne came up with the 'no kill' method and not planning to become the next leader of the League of Assassins, smart man.' Aizawa mentally thought with a smirk. 'Sounds like Ra's Al Ghul has plans for Mr. Wayne.'
"Do we know where he's taken Mr. Wayne?" Nezu inquires with a ponder. "Those League of Assassins you spoke of are quite well-known in assassinations and stealth kills."
"Bruce has left us a clue where he was taken. He left a message on his cane." James told him, showing them the cane that has a written message 'UA Sports Festival'.
It got the UA Faculty staff members, Tamao, and Iwao shocked that Ra's Al Ghul is taking Bruce Wayne to UA Sports Festival, which it'll take place by next week. Both All Might and Aizawa couldn't help but scowl of Ra's Al Ghul's twisted plan.
"I'm afraid we have to alert the Pro Heroes and the police to look for Ra's Al Ghul and Mr. Wayne." Nezu suggested.
"No, it'll draw too much attention and Ra's Al Ghul will kill him." Ethan warns him. "We need to be rational and play it smart in order to save Bruce."
"He's right, the UA Sports Festival will be in for next week and that's where him and the League of Assassins are heading." Lita agrees serious.
Both Aizawa and All Might were impressed that they're keeping calm and think rational instead of going around looking for Bruce aimlessly. True that they're shocked that Bruce is missing, but he left a clue of where he'll be held at.
"We need to be on surveillance to keep an eye on the League of Assassins and Ra's Al Ghul. They're well known in martial arts and assassinations, but they're also the master of stealth." Emily informed them. "They'll try and blend in as civilians, which we have to be wary and vigilant. I don't know what Ra's have plans for Bruce, but we all know it can't be good."
Nezu, All Might, and Nezu confirms with an agreement since the Bat Family and Catwoman knew Ra's Al Ghul by reading his background and the files.
"But what about the Sons of Batman Motorcycle Club? Should they know about it?" All Might inquires.
"They got back in Gotham City since Batwoman asked them to help out protect the city. She can't defend it on her own." James explains. "The Boondock Saints are heading to Switzerland for the bounty, which basically, All Might, we're on our own."
"But wasn't there anyone who can be of help?" Nezu asks, causing Ethan to smirk since he knows someone who to call.
Somewhere in France, a French vigilante Jean-Paul Valley III, known as Azrael, is the son of Jean-Paul Valley who is the second Azrael and the former members of Sons of Batman Motorcycle Club, Order of Saint Dumas, Bat Family, and the Justice League. Of course, his grandfather is the first Azrael and a member of the Order of Saint Dumas before his death and having his son to carry out the legacy. Jean-Paul Valley, Michael Lane, and the Order of Saint Dumas trained him to become the next Azrael before the death of his father. Jean-Paul Valley III became older and became the next Azrael after his graduation at Gotham University and the current member of Order of Saint Dumas and the Bat Family.
Jean-Valley Paul III has the appearance of a muscular young man with blond hair and blue eyes. He's wearing the attire of the Catholic priest attire.
Soon as he heard a phone call, Jean-Paul Valley III grabbed his phone and answered.
"Bonjour, comment puis-je vous aider? (Hello, how can I help you?)" Jean-Paul said in French.
"Jean-Paul, je vous en pire. (Jean-Paul, I need your help.)" Ethan answered.
"Ethan, I haven't heard from you or Bruce in years during your time in France." Jean-Paul said with a smile. "So, what is it you need help?"
"It's Bruce, he's been abducted by Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins." Ethan informed him, leaving Jean-Paul widen his eyes. "We believe he'll be held at the UA Sports Festival and we were wondering if you're coming to Japan to help us. The event will be held in a week, think you can make it?"
"Oui, I've got time to get there. I'll get everything ready and head there." Jean-Paul told him. "I'll see you there."
And with the call ends, Jean-Paul Valley II heads inside of the base and getting his equipment, his weapons, and his own jet ready to head to Japan.
Back at the Batcave, Ethan hangs up the phone and then turns to the others with a serious look on his face.
"He's getting everything ready. He's on his way to Japan." Ethan informed him. "For now, we'll begin formulating a plan to save Bruce and capture Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins."
"Right, and we should fill in with the Pro Heroes to let them know of Mr. Wayne's disappearance." Aizawa replied with a nod. "They may not like it, but like you said, we have to be rational."
"I doubt the Pro Heroes would say the same, but knowing them, they'll probably do their own thing just for some glory and all that." Lita points out with a sigh of annoyance.
"Not to worry, Lita, we'll try to convince them on working together." Nezu assures her. "In the meantime, we can't afford to cause a panic to our students. It's bad enough after the USJ incident, and now this, Ra's Al Ghul kidnapped Mr. Wayne."
'That could also mean I won't be telling young Midoriya since he's already on his mind to get strong and learn how to control All-For-One. But with Mr. Wayne missing, it'll cause a serious panic and the students will be eager to help which it'll also get them killed by the hands of Ra's and the League of Assassins.' All Might mentally thought. 'And with the UA Sports Festival coming next week, I had feeling that this event is gonna get ugly.'
And then, they began formulating a plan since the UA Sports Festival is only held in a week. Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins are gonna be there along with Bruce Wayne since the leader of the League of Assassins had something planned for him.
One week late, the UA Sports Festival event has been when the fireworks were set off around the building, many newscasters were standing at the front of the gate, wanting to get in. However, the security was much higher this time around due to the League of Villains. Some are even criticizing U.A. for holding the festival because of it. But the controversy is what the media feeds off of for higher ratings. However, the Pro Heroes are on high alert after hearing that Bruce Wayne was abducted by Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins. Bruce Wayne was strapped in binds and right behind him was a bomb as Ra's Al Ghul approaches him with a sinister smirk on his face.
"You could've become my successor as the next leader of the League of Assassins. But you chose not to kill lives, I am truly disappointed of your actions." Ra's Al Ghul said. "Instead, you chose your own successor who will become the next Dark Knight. Well, I'll be sure to never let it happen...by killing you."
Bruce Wayne can only glare at Ra's Al Ghul since he knows his actions, but unknown to them, Jin Bubaigawara, known as Twice was overhearing their conversation and noticed that the previous Batman is about to get killed.
Twice was a rather well-built man with blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He had visible traces of facial hair over his mouth and at the bottom of his chin. His attire was a black and gray bodysuit that covered his body completely, along with gray boots. The upper half of his mask was gray with white eye sockets while lower half-covering his mouth was black. He also sports a red and green wristbands that he stored his measuring tapes in. His suit was black other than the section over his lower legs and the gray designs that appear to form a 'T' and 'W' over his chest. The 'T' is formed by a horizontal line crossing his upper torso and a vertical line ascending from the abdomen. Another line snakes down to his lower torso and splits down to his thighs, which then ascends to his hips forming a 'W'.
Twice was an orphan after his parents were killed by villains during middle school, but he was taken in by Slade Wilson who's the previous Deathstroke. Slade trained his sons and Jin in martial arts and weaponry, but his Quirk allows him to create clones of himself. Slade was impressed of his superpowers and Jin was able to master it along with combat and martial arts. Twice then became the member of the Justice League and became an employer of the Wayne Enterprises, working with Bruce Wayne.
Twice then quietly left while pulling a communicator.
"Did you find him?" Dabi questions, answering his communicator.
"I found him alright, but we have a problem. Like a 'Big Boom' problem, Mr. Wayne was about to get killed by a bomb and that Ra's Al Ghul guy had him strapped." Twice informed him. "If we don't do something, he'll die."
"Calm down, Twice. The Pro Heroes will get them evacuated if that happens, we have to keep a sharp eye and watch out for the League of Assassins. Toga is patrolling at the food stands. I'll let her know that you found him." Dabi told him. "The Bat Family, Catwoman, and Delta are heading that direction."
"I'll place the tracker and give you the coordinates." Twice said, placing the tracker next to the wall.
At the food stands, Himiko Toga looks through her device that has a tracking system where Bruce Wayne was held. She then turns to Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms were at one of the food stands, but behind him was Adam Rothstein, known as Atom Smasher.
Adam Rothstein is over 7 foot 6 inches young man with a muscular appearance with auburn curly hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black shirt with a camo cargo pants, and black boots.
Adam Rothstein is the son of Albert Rothstein, who's the original Atom Smasher. Like his father, he has superpowers that grants him to increase his size due to the Thorium radiation and he was trained to learn how to control his powers while learning combat and driving. As he grew older, his muscles and height has increased and every people around him were intimidated because of the sheer size. He became a member of the Justice League and takes up the mantle as the new Atom Smasher after learning of his fathers death.
Himiko Toga is a relatively petite, fair-skinned girl who is prone to blushing and is frequently described as having a pretty face. She has slightly inward-tilting bright yellow eyes with thin slits, somewhat resembling those of a cat and her wide mouth is also rather feline, as both her upper and lower canines are more pointed and longer than the rest of her teeth, giving a vampiric appearance. Her hair is pale, dirty ash-blonde and styled into buns. Her attire consists of a ninja with a black skin-tight bodysuit, shin guards, vambraces, and shoulder guards. She also wears a demon mask. She carries her throwing knives around her thighs, a utility belt around her waist, and two tantos around her back.
Himiko Toga was born as the eldest daughter and developed a Quirk called Transform, which showcased a rather disturbing and morbid interest in blood. She once brought a dead, bloodied bird to her parents and cheerfully asked them if it's 'pretty', which it turned scarred and disturbed them. Despite the pressure her parents put through by getting her to be 'normal', Katana, Bronze Tiger, and Martian Manhunter found her and took her in. Himiko Toga have practiced in martial arts, weaponry, ninjutsu, and her Quirk since it only requires blood for her to transform. She also practiced in Zen training by meditation to suppress her interests in blood. Doctor Fate and Spectre were able to alter her Quirk which instead of the blood she requires, she can transform by shapeshift. Himiko Toga became the member of the Justice League.
"I'll take one order to go, please." Mt. Lady said, drooling over the food she stares which it got his attention.
"Whoa, Mt. Lady! Is it really you?"
"And hold the salt, will you?" Mt. Lady adds.
"Of course, that's going to be 10 bucks."
Mt. Lady just gasp in shock, realizing that she got no money when Adam extends the 10 bucks to the owner.
"Keep the change, sir." Adam said with a smile, extends the food to her. "Here you go, little lady."
"Oh, thank y-"
Before Mt. Lady starts thanking Adam, she noticed his height and muscular appearance which it got her jaws dropped in shock.
'Oh my God! He's huge!' Mt. Lady mentally exclaims, but starting to blush. 'And a real stud~! He's my type~!'
"Um, ma'am, are you there?" Adam asks, raised his eyebrow which it got Mt. Lady snapped out of her thoughts.
"Uh, yeah, I...sorry...thank you..." Mt. Lady muttered, quickly takes the box of takoyaki while try to make her impression. "I'm Mt. Lady. A new hottest Pro Hero."
"Okay, I'm Adam Rothstein." Adam introduced himself with a chuckle. "I work as a mechanic from Bronx, New York."
"I bet you're good at fixing cars with those arms of yours, handsome." Mt. Lady states with a seductive smirk, much Kamui Woods and Death Arms annoyance.
"I like to work out during my time off and in the morning. I've been going through some growth and muscle mass, which is why I've done it daily." Adam told her. "Guess you can say that I've got my dads sheer size and height."
'And I bet you're also hung from between your legs, handsome~! 'Cause you and I can...'
"Um...shouldn't we be heading to the waiting room, Mt. Lady?" Kamui Woods asks in annoyance, making her snap out of her thoughts. "I'm really sorry about this, Adam. She has no sense of shame."
"It's cool, she's not bothering me." Adam assures him, then turns to Mt. Lady. "Well, guess I'll see you around, little lady."
"Oh...yeah...I'll see you, handsome." Mt. Lady said with a nervous chuckle as Adam left, which it got her groan. 'And just where things are about to get good!? Thanks for nothing, Kamui Woods!?'
And with that, Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady left the food stands while steam comes out of her ears. Adam then pulls out his communicator, noticed the coordinates.
"Care to tell me why didn't you tell me?" Adam asks in annoyance.
"Wouldn't want to spoil your good time with your girl, Adam." Twice answered with a chuckle. "Adam and Mt. Lady sitting in the tree, K. I. S. S. I. N. G."
Adam then hangs up with uninterested look, feeling annoyed of Twice being immature as he used his powers to change into Atom Smasher. He then noticed Dabi and Azrael walking towards him.
"Take it he found Bruce?" Atom Smasher asked.
"Actually, Batman was able to figure out where Bruce is abducted a week ago." Azrael told him. "I've already let him know that I'm here along with some help."
Himiko and Twice were able to meet up with them without getting caught by either the Pro Heroes or the League of Assassins.
"Anything?" Dabi inquires.
"Nothing yet." Himiko shook her head. "But I was able to take down one of the assassins."
"Same, but only 4 of them." Twice adds.
"Keep an eye on the assassins, we won't know when they'll strike." Dabi suggested as he pulls out his communicator.
At the stadium where the UA Sports Festival takes place, the students from different classes were in the waiting room, getting ready for the competition. Shoto Todoroki heard a call from the communicator as he pulls it out and answers it.
"Yeah." Shoto said.
"Shoto, I should warn you before the competition. The League of Assassins has caught Bruce Wayne and they've held him here at the Sports Festival." Dabi informed him, leaving Shoto widen his eyes in shock. "I want you to keep an eye on them and be careful, these are not your typical villains because of their deadly arts of assassination and weaponry. Ra's Al Ghul is the leader of the League of Assassins for a very long time, be careful when you encounter."
Shoto replied with a nod as he hangs up his communicator with a serious glare on his face.
"Aw man! I was totally hoping I could wear my costume!" Mina complains as she and the other Class 1-A were wearing a standard PE uniform.
"At least everyone will be in the uniforms, that'll keep things fair, right?" Ojiro said, stretching his arms to get ready.
"I wonder what they have in store for us in first round?" Rikido asks nervously, pressing his fingers together while sitting on a desk.
"No matter what they're prepared, we must persevere." Tokoyami suggested calmly.
"Right." Shoji agrees when the door opens, revealed to be Tenya Iida.
"Everyone, get your game faces on! We're entering the area soon!" Tenya shouts with an announcement.
While Mineta repeatedly said 'Swallow your fear' and counted something on his palm before eating, Midoriya can only sighed with relied when Todoroki approaches him.
"Midoriya." Todoroki called him with a cold glare, earned his attention.
Though, Midoriya didn't know a lot about him, other than he was calm, quiet, and reserved. Not really interacting with others, so it was surprising to see Todoroki wanting to talk to him.
"Hey, Todoroki, what's up?" Midoriya asks while trying to be friendly.
This didn't go unnoticed by the others. Everyone in the room turned their heads at the two in the middle of the room. Also curious for what Todoroki wants with Midoriya.
"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." Todoroki said bluntly, despite every one of his classmates listening which it got Midoriya backed up a little.
"Yeah." Midoriya said.
"However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out." Todoroki told him with perspective, causing Midoriya's eyes widen in shock. "I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two, but know that I will beat you."
It got Midoriya shocked of those words.
"Ooh! What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Denki asks with intrigue when Eijiro stood up and walked over to place his hand on Todoroki's shoulder.
"Yeah, what's the big deal? Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden? And right before we get started..."
Eijiro's efforts to break the tension was interrupted when Todoroki pushed his hand away with his elbow.
"We're not here to be each other's friends." Todoroki snapped at him, before turning around and walked towards the door. "Don't forget, this isn't a team effort."
"Wait a sec, Todoroki!"
Todoroki stopped when Midoriya called him.
"I don't know what's going through your head, or why you think you need to tell me that you beat me, and yeah, of course you're better than me." Midoriya said with his eyes shadowed over by his hair and his fist clenched. Everyone was now staring at him, wanting to know his response. "In fact, you have way more potential than anyone in the Hero Course. That's why you've got in so easily."
"Midoriya, maybe you're being a little hard on yourself." Eijiro said, try to break the tension. "And us."
"No, he's right you guys. All of the other courses, they're coming for us with everything they've got." Midoriya points out, remembered why he wanted to become a Pro Hero as he then looked at Todoroki. "We're all gonna have to fight to stand out. Then, I'll be aiming for the top too."
"Fine." Todoroki responds.
With the stage set, the battlelines are drawn, and everyone is aiming for first place at the finish line. The students of U.A. High will have to show the world what they've got to offer. However, the show was about to end when Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins has plans for Bruce Wayne.
Meanwhile, the Bat Family, Catwoman, and Delta were on their way to find and save Bruce Wayne along with everyone in the UA Sports Festival. The Pro Heroes were on alert for the League of Assassins and Bruce Wayne while the members of the Justice League were keeping an eye on the civilians.
They were able to make their way to the UA Sports Festival and ran towards the festival where they see all of the students entering the coliseum. So, they fired their grappling hooks at the upper part of the coliseum. Once they're up at the upper part of the coliseum, they jumped inside and falling down towards the ground. The Bat Family drew out their batarangs, Catwoman pulls out her whip, and Delta pulls out her two Heckler & Koch P30L. Out of the corner of their eye, they saw Ra's Al Ghul along with the League of Assassins which they're all in disguises as fans of the crowd. So, the Bat Family throw their batarangs, Catwoman cracks her whip, and Delta fired their pistols at League of Assassins, causing Ra's Al Ghul and the assassins to reveal themselves.
"Ra's Al Ghul!?" Batman growled with a glare.
"Ah the detectives sidekicks." Ra's Al Ghul said with a sneer. "I'm glad that we finally got to meet!"
"Where's Bruce?! What have to done to him you son of a bitch!?" Red Robin demands, pulls out his battle staff.
Soon as it got the Justice League and Azrael's attention, they noticed the League of Assassins are coming after the Bat Family, which they're chasing after them as the heated battle began. However, it didn't take long for Present Mic and Eraser Head to notice the fight.
"Wait, what's this?!" Present Mic exclaims. "It seems like the Bat Family, Catwoman, and Delta has just joined in and now they're fighting against ninjas. Wait, is that Ra's Al Ghul?!"
"Looks like it." Eraser Head answered with a scowl, decided to join the fight. "Gather the Pros!"
Eraser Head then joins the fight when he breaks the window and lands on the ground, fight against the League of Assassins. Shoto also joins the fight when he uses his Ice Quirk to slide towards the stairs and delivers a kick to the jaw at one of the assassins. Dabi joins his brother when he conjures his blue flaming sword and Shoto conjures an ice sword, parrying their attacks and counter while taking down the number of the assassins. Azrael drew out the Sword of Sin to parry and counter when it conjure in the minds of the assassins guilt. Both Twice and Himiko are working together when they dodge and counter the number of the assassins.
Atom Smasher used his combat and wrestling tactics to throw the assassins and knocking them out since he's resistant to all attacks because of his metahuman powers. Catwoman was using her agility and acrobats to dodge their slash while using her whip to force them to discard their weapons, knocking them out. Delta was using her combat prowess to break their bones while firing her dual handguns, killing the number of assassins. Both Batgirl and Red Robin were working together to block their attacks while breaking their bones and knocking them out.
Batman and Ra's Al Ghul were colliding against other in martial arts. Ra's Al Ghul nailed him hard by punching him in the jaw, but Batman retaliates by kneeing him in the gut and elbowed him in the back. However, they failed to realize that Bruce isn't far away because he's been tied up next to a bomb. And once they realized that, the Bat Family, Catwoman, Delta, Azrael, and the Justice League turned their attention to Bruce Wayne.
"NO! BRUCE!" Batman yelled, stop the fight and rush towards Bruce.
And just then, the bomb start to go off all around the arena. Both the students and the Pro Heroes start to jump into action by fighting against the League of Assassins and find the bombs. Batman's mind is saving Bruce and it's his top priority, and as he continued to rush towards him, the bomb went off. His eyes widen as he watch the one person who's been like a father to him for years...get turned to ash.
"NOOOOOO!" Batman yelled as the blast blows him back, causing him to fall to the ground.
The Bat family, Catwoman, Delta, Azrael, Shoto, and the Justice League just widen their eyes with horror when they saw Bruce Wayne, the original Dark Knight, is dead. It now turns to anger as they go all out, hunt and fight the League of Assassins. The Pro Heroes and the students aren't far behind as they began to take down the number of the assassins.
Batman regains his consciousness, but his ears were ringing while starting to readjust the situation. Batman remember what just happened which it all starts to set in. From all of Ra's Al Ghul's plan to kill Bruce Wayne, it's all too perfect.
'Why didn't Bruce escape?! He was the Dark Knight of the past, but he had grown old...To the point that if he tried to escape or fight all of the assassins on his own because his heart is too weak...And he wouldn't escape...But why?! Why wasn't I fast enough?!' Batman mentally shouted since he was so focused on stopping Ra's Al Ghul that he didn't realize his real plan and the cost was Bruce Wayne. He failed him.
After taking it all in, Batman realized that there was one thing he could do, look for Ra's Al Ghul. He found him trying to make his escape with some of the elite assassin.
"RA'S AL GHUL! YOU'RE DEAD!" Batman called him, chasing after Ra's Al Ghul.
Batman is now enraged and he's going to make sure that Ra's Al Ghul is put down for good. Soon as Ra's began to realize Batman is coming after him, he ran past Midnight when he slashes her across her face which was enough to distract the Dark Knight. Batman was able to catch up to him as he tackled him down to the ground.
"Heh, look at you! You're so full of rage! I love it!" Ra's Al Ghul sneered with a sinister look on his face.
"SHUT UP!" Batman yelled before punching him hard in the jaw.
Ra's Al Ghul grunts in pain as he tries to slash him with his sword, but Batman block the attack with his arm guards before kicking him to the ground. Ra's Al Ghul kicks him in the jaw before standing back up as the 2 clashes against each other again. Batman was ready when Ra's Al Ghul was about to go for the kill, causing the Caped Crusader to front flip over him and got behind him, then punches him the jaw while making him drop his sword. Batman then started to land a hit after hit with his punches and kicks, then deliver a swift uppercut, knocking Ra's Al Ghul to the ground. Once he's on the ground, Batman started beating him. His blood was now stained with his knuckles.
"You took him from me! You took the one person who cared about me!" Batman snarled angrily. "So now I'm going to kill you!"
Batman kept beating Ra's Al Ghul before grabbing him in the neck, clearly ready to snap it. But just as Batman was about to kill him, both Red Robin and Batgirl pulled him away from the Demon while Eraser Head restrains Ra's Al Ghul with his capture clothing.
"Batman! Stop!" Red Robin shouts. "This isn't you!"
"Stay out of this! He's mine!" Batman snapped.
"Bruce doesn't want you to do this!" Batgirl snapped back. "If you kill him, then you're no better than Ra's Al Ghul!"
Batman knew that they're right, this isn't what Bruce want him to do. So, he calms down while lower his fighting stance. Eraser Head then drags Ra's Al Ghul, who's now beaten and bloodied, even both of his arms are broken. The Pro Heroes then arrests the League of Assassins when both the Justice League and Azrael left the scene...but Batman was standing emotionless because Bruce Wayne is gone. Batman then deliver one final kick to the jaw, knocking him out. After Batman cuffs him, he slowly turns to the students and the Pro Heroes.
The Bat Family, Catwoman, and Delta decided to leave since they're in no mood dealing with them right now because all they can think about is Bruce Wayne and how they weren't fast enough to save him.
Once they're out of the coliseum, they decided to head home.
At the Batcave, Ethan took off his mask when Eri slowly walk towards him with tears in her eyes. Ethan kneeled down to her level, embracing Eri with tears rolling down and she began to cry with a sad heavy heart.
'I failed...Bruce was gone...' Ethan mentally thought with sorrow.
One week passed since the death of Bruce Wayne. Barbara, Ethan, Eri, James, Emily, Tamao, Iwao, Lita, Selina, Jean-Paul Valley III, Samantha, Charles, Boondock Saints, and Sons of Batman Motorcycle Club held a funeral for him. But after the funeral, Ethan locked himself up because he needed to be alone and Eri is right now with the Gordon family. So there he was, sitting at the Bat Computer just looking at Ra's Al Ghul's file.
"Why...did you do this?" Ethan asks angrily, slamming his hands down in frustration. "Your daughter loved him! What kind of a father would kill the man his daughter loved?!"
"It's because I was his grandson."
Ethan turned around to see some sort of a ghost like spirit. The ghost was wearing a Robin costume as Ethan slowly starting to realize who he's speaking too.
"Damian?" Ethan asks shockingly.
"It's good to meet you, Ethan." Damian said with a smile.
Ethan rubbed his eyes, starting to feel crazy.
"You're not real...this is just my mind playing tricks on me." Ethan states.
"Smart as always, father trained you well." Damian said with a chuckle. But right now, you need to stop grieving and hiding down in this cave."
"No...I failed, Damian. Bruce trusted me and I failed him." Ethan told him sadly. "I promised myself that I would protect Bruce until he died of old age. I wouldn't let him die...but I failed."
"You sound exactly like the old man sounded when he lost me." Damian said. "Let me tell you something. Bruce's death wasn't your fault, my grandfather was the one who killed him. You didn't pull the trigger, he did."
"But I should've been quicker!" Ethan shouts. "If I had gotten to the arena quicker, I could've saved him. But I didn't!"
"Ok, now you really sound like Bruce. This was going to happen eventually." Damian told him, making a valid point. "Death comes for us all...even the great Batman must die...which is why he chose you."
"But what if he's wrong? What if I fail too?" Ethan questions.
"Ethan, my father was never wrong. Trust me, something tells me that you're going to be one of the best Batmans around." Damian states with a smile. "You have my fathers code and you have the drive."
"Thank you, but I'm never going to be as good as Bruce." Ethan said. "He was the best of us."
"Of course he is, he was our father after all." Damian agrees. "He took you in, trained you. Just like he did for all of us. Now, you gotta continue his legacy, for all of us."
Ethan nods, knew that he would have to do this on his own.
'But how? How would I be able to do this?' Ethan mentally questions himself. 'I'm not Batman, I'm just a 16 year old boy in a Halloween costume.'
"That's what I used to think too, kid."
Ethan seem shocked as he turns around to see Dick Grayson standing there, also known as Nightwing.
"Bruce died once before, but it turned out that he had just been sent back through time, we saved him." Dick told him. "Eventually, but for those few years, I was Batman. I took Damian in as the new Robin. I did a lot of good of good as the Dark Knight, but I did it on my own way. You need to do it your own way. Don't try to be Bruce, make your own legacy."
Ethan nod as Dicks advice since he didn't have to do it like Bruce did which he has to do it his way. But even though, he's going to do it his way, he refuse to take a life.
"Thank you, but what if it's easier to take a life?" Ethan asks. "What if it's easier to kill?"
"Trust me, kid, I've been through that. Dick why don't you go take 5."
Dick nods and vanished as Jason Todd, known as Red Hood, revealed himself.
"Trust me, I know that killing might seem easier, take it from me. A natural born killer. But in some situations, it's easier to put them down. But if you down that path, it you give into rage, then you'll lose yourself." Jason warns him. "You'll become an agent of rage and bloodshed. You need to be ready to make the hard choice and sometimes the hardest choice is sparing a life. But I have faith in you, you're a good kid. After all, if I ever think that you're doing wrong, I'll find another way to come back from the dead so I can kick your ass."
Ethan chuckled and nods, he still don't feel like he can do this.
'What if I'm not as good as the others?' Ethan mentally questions himself.
"You can't doubt yourself like that, Ethan."
Ethan turns around and see the final Robin who died by the hands of the Joker, Tim Drake. He was always smart and had Bruce's detective skills, but he also had a kind heart. He knew that life could get tough, but always rose to the challenge.
"C'mon Ethan, after three pep talks from each of the Robins, you should know that you're skilled enough to take up the mantle." Tim told him. "Just don't be afraid to try and make the Batman mantle your own. We are all proud of you. Now, you need to rise up and become the next Dark Knight."
Ethan nods and stand up, finally that it's time for the Batman to return. Ethan walks over to the suit maker and starts working on making his own suit which it took two days. After Ethan finally finished his own Batsuit, he starts to walk towards the Batmobile, but he was walking and saw something that occurred his eye. It was memory of his first patrol with Bruce.
'This suit looks amazing! I'm so ready!'
'That's exactly how I felt when I put the suit for the first time.'
Ethan smiled at the memory before getting into the Batmobile as he quickly speed back out into the night.
