This is the 25th chapter. I don't own the series of My Hero Academia or the series of Justice League.
Shadow Joestar: And they will. Like Stain said, there are too many fake Heroes and criminals because some of the Pro Heroes may use them for the greater good, but some use them for their selfish gain only for letting the fame and glory getting to their heads. They just need some help and reflect their mistakes, that's all. But sadly, not many wanted to learn their mistakes which basically like criminals, not all wanted to be rehabilitated. And as far as it goes, Harley Quinn will help out because she has a PhD license, but it'll be in the future chapters.
BrianShooter672: 'Burnout Competition'?! Like you had to ask! I've watched that episode of the 'Counting Cars'. It's nasty and it's awesome! So yeah, it'll be an awesome scene. And no, I won't be adding them, but they'll tell them about their crew.
Hush Part 1
At Koko City, Daniel and his crew were telling about themselves to Ethan and the others. Daniel had a younger sister named Danielle C. Koker, who's a general manager of 'Count Kustoms' which she's in charge of the business while making sure that he doesn't go crazy on spending a lot on money for vehicles for adding his own collections. Though, Daniel couldn't help himself, but Danielle keeps him on a short leash for a reason while Fred helps her. Both Daniel and Danielle may get on each others nerves, but they love each other as siblings. Fred told them the crew members like Mark Henry and Josh Henry were the great grandsons of Michael 'Horny Mike' Henry. Like Horny Mike, both Mark and Josh are airbrush artists, but the former has a thing for horns while working on his own projects and can be obnoxious at times. Josh on the other hand is the opposite, he does his work and try to keep his brother on a short leash. The Henry brothers usually compete against each other, but they're brothers.
Sheila even told them about a bike shop manager named Sharon Aikau, who's the great-granddaughter of Shannon Aikau. Sharon has talents on repairing and restoring motorcycles, which she became a manager by working on the 'Count Kustoms.'
Ethan and the others were impressed of their work, but didn't get a chance to meet them because they stayed in US to keep the business running.
But just as they're about to leave, Fred turns to Daniel and spoke.
"Hey, Daniel, I challenge you to a "Burnout Competition'." Fred challenged which it got Daniel's attention. "I really want this event to make it more interesting, and something to bring back the old school challenge."
"Wow, you really want to challenge me to a 'Burnout Competition'?" Daniel asks with a smirk. "Man, you've gotta be crazy enough to have the guts to challenge me."
"Oh, I'm crazy, and I'm not backing down without a fight." Fred told him, smirking. "Why don't you bring your own car and I'll bring out mine!"
Daniel then thought about it for a second. Though, he knew that Fred won't be able to beat him in the 'Burnout Competition' since he's been a champion for only 6 years, but it got him realizing that Fred is trying to bring back the competition and gives his heroes a 'Farewell Gift' before heading back to US.
"Alright, you're on." Daniel accepts. "Better not chicken out on me, ya hear!"
With that, both Daniel and Fred heads out to bring out their own cars which it got the civilians interested when they overheard of the 'Burnout Competition'. They decided to get out of the building and hoping to see the competition. Sheila then decided to announce the competition as she spoke.
"Everyone! Today, we were witnessing for the 'Burnout Competition' that has long forgotten for the past decades!" Sheila announces. "Well, we're here to bring back as the two competitors, Daniel and Fred, brings out their own vehicles. Let's see Fred Jones' vehicle!"
Fred brings out and showed the civilians a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM, causing them to cheer.
"The 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM, this bad boy is one of the Pontiac models from the late 70s. It has 180 hp and 325 lb-ft torque, it can also go to 130 mph at top speed." Sheila said. "And, this car was used in the movie series called 'Smokey and the Bandit'."
The civilians roared with a cheer as they take a photo at the car.
"Now, let's see of Daniel Koker's vehicle!" Sheila said.
Daniel then brings out the Chevrolet Corvette, known as C3, which it also got them cheering.
"The C3, also known as, Chevrolet Corvette, the third generation of the Corvette sports cars from the late 60s to the 80s." Sheila said. "This baby has 435 hp and 460 lb-ft torque, and it can go fast as 125 mph. This car was used in the movie called 'XXX' and 'Fast Five'."
The civilians roared with a cheer as they also take a photo at the car.
"Alrighty boys, the rules are simple. Whoever makes the most smoke wins!" Sheila informed the two. "First up, we will begin by pulling together on the bleach and washer fluids. So you boys can turn the smoke show into a smoke symphony."
They then start pouring the mixture of bleach and washer fluid next to the tires so Daniel and Fred can make smoke.
"Alright, Fred, are you ready?" Sheila asks when she turns to Fred, earned a thumbs up that he's ready. "And! GO!"
Fred then starts heating up the tires, turning the mix of bleach and washer fluids into smoke. He then starts driving his vehicle while making the smoke. Fred then decided to have some fun by reversing his car and starts spinning his car which it got the civilians excited.
After a good spin, Fred drives his car back in its place as the civilians cheered.
"Wow, that's a lot of smoke, Fred! Nice one!" Sheila praises him.
"I'll admit, this is awesome." James states. "That was nasty and that was some serious burnout."
"Yeah, but we'll see if Daniel can pull that off." Dick told him.
"Alright, let's see if Daniel can pull it off by making more smoke that Fred's!" Sheila announces, then turns to Daniel. "Are you ready, Daniel?"
Daniel gives her a thumbs up.
"And! GO!" Sheila shouts.
Daniel then starts heating up the tires, turning the mix of bleach and washer fluids into smoke which was bigger. He then starts driving his vehicle while making more smoker. Daniel does the same by reversing his car and starts spinning his car which surrounded him.
Soon as the smoke clears, Daniel was laying on top of his car with a pose when the civilians gave a cheer.
"Wow, that is the most smoke and burnout I've ever seen!" Sheila announces. "And looks like we've ourselves a winner!"
The civilians gave Daniel a cheer because he won the 'Burnout Competition', but Fred also got a cheer since he put up a good fight which both of them made the car event entertaining. The civilians were even able to record the competition and send it to the people, so they'll see the 'Burnout Competition'.
After the 'Burnout Competition' is over, Daniel and his crew gave their farewells as they left the car event.
Later that night, the other event was taking place in Eshua City. Ethan Wayne was invited at the Gala by Lucas Fox and Jin Bubaigawara, who's the current CEO of the Wayne Enterprises. Ethan doesn't like going to fancy parties that much, only because he was with Bruce Wayne growing up and learning how to run the business. He also learned to be wary of the people being shady and try to get the money and the company. Ethan wasn't old enough to go to the Gala, but Lucas invited him to come, which he doesn't have many options. However, Nightwing is heading to the docks after learning that there's an illegal delivery of heroin that's been going on recently.
Once Ethan arrived inside of the building with a black tuxedo, white shirt underneath, black vest, black tie, black tuxedo pants, and black shoes, the people turned their attentions to him.
"Is that...?"
"Oh, he's here. Bruce's son is here."
Many of the people smiled of Ethan's arrival. Ethan however, wasn't enjoying of being here at the Gala, but he's keeping his calm demeanor when one of them spoke.
"Ethan, is that you?"
Ethan can only respond with a nod.
"Ah, this is a terrific opportunity to talk about your first day about running business at Wayne Enterprises company."
"One moment, I've got to take this." Ethan told him, walk past him while turning one his ear microphone. "I'm clear, any updates?"
"Nothing yet, Ethan." Iwao told him, communicating through the computer. "Ethan, you're at the Gala. Could you at least take a night-off? Try speaking to them, you know, something that doesn't involve hero work?"
Ethan can only respond by raising his eyebrow. Even though, Ethan isn't exactly much of a people person because he'd rather fight against criminals as Batman than going for the fancy events. Ethan knew that the people can only talk about businesses and mingle. But it got him snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Lita in a black neck-high split dress with black stocking, and black high heels.
"Lita, what is she doing here?" Ethan asks.
"Probably she's invited to the Gala and wanted to see you. Or maybe, she wanted to impress you with that dress she's wearing." Nightwing told him. "But come on, Ethan, she's your girlfriend."
At the docks, Nightwing was fighting against one of the criminals by blocking the attack and counter by delivering an uppercut, then punched him twice in the jaw, and knocking him out by delivering a roundhouse kick to the face.
"She does take it after Selena, after all." Nightwing states with a smirk.
The second criminal was about to deliver a punch, but Nightwing blocked the number of punches, grabs the wrist and deliver a backfist to the face. Nightwing then grabs him in the arm and tossed him at the crate, then knocks him down by elbowing him in the shoulder. Nightwing ducks down, dodging the attack from behind, and backflipped a few times. The two criminals surrounded Nightwing when he does the kip-up. Nightwing then use his defense and counter when the criminals charged after him.
"Sounds like you found out about the shipment tonight and things have gone South." Ethan states.
"Pretty much." Nightwing answered when he kicks the criminal hard in the sternum and deliver a combo punch to the other, knocking him up by using an upward kick to the chin. Nightwing then turns and blocks the punch, counter by uppercut to the chin and knife edge chop at the back of his neck, knocking him out. "Since they found me, I thought I'd torch it."
Then, the loud explosion was heard from the dock.
"Who knew heroin was so flammable?" Nightwing rhetorically questions, looking at the destroyed dock.
Until, one of the criminal fired the M16 Rifle at Nightwing, causing him to dodge by backflipping a few times, then jumps at the top of the barrel, and jumps off before the barrel explodes.
"The Pro Heroes and the police probably heard that noise. You might wanna wrap this up." Ethan warned him.
"Relax, kid, I know what I'm doing." Nightwing states when he pulls out a batarangs, throws it at the barrel of the gun and explodes, knocking the criminal out by lunging at him with his escrima sticks. "It ain't my first rodeo."
Then, the sirens were heard as Nightwing placed his escrima sticks on his back and left the scene.
"The police arrived, so I'm out." Nightwing told him, ending transmission.
Back at the Gala in Eshua City, Ethan couldn't help but chuckle since Nightwing made a valid point about his solo missions.
"So, Ethan, are you gonna ask her?" Iwao asks when Lita noticed Ethan.
"Maybe I should." Ethan said with a smirk as he and Lita approached each other.
"Well, well, didn't think you'd be here." Lita said with a smirk. "Mixing in with the swells I mean."
"Lucas and Jin invited me to come here, not my idea." Ethan told her. "Also, it's mandatory, I'm a new board member. You?"
"You could say I'm in a crossroads, based on my work for the wildlife animals. And at the art gallery." Lita said. "But still..."
"You'd rather fight crimes instead of here, right?" Ethan guessed with a smile.
"When you put it that way, yeah." Lita replied. "I bet you're thinking the same thing."
"Ethan?" The voice called him, earned their attention when they saw a man named Thomas Elliot approaching the two.
Thomas Elliot is a middle-aged man with short red hair and green eyes. He's wearing a grey business suit with white shirt and black tie underneath, grey pants, and black shoes.
"You're actually here." Thomas said with a smile, raising his arms. "Bruce told me all about you, and you never come to these things."
"Lucas and Jin told me to come here." Ethan told him, shook his hand with a smile. "You must be Thomas Elliot, right?"
"That's right." Thomas replied. "As you know, I'm a world renowned brain surgeon at Gotham City, well more like in US and parts in Canada. Bruce is a good friend of mine when we were kids, especially after his parents died. And I'm sorry about what happen to Bruce."
Ethan responds with a nod when Lita approaches next to her boyfriend.
"It's like singing a unicorn in a 5,000 dollar suit." Lita said with a smirk which it got Ethan's attention, but earned a glare from him.
"Thomas, this is Lita Kyle." Ethan introduces his girlfriend, causing the two to shake hands.
"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you." Thomas greets politely. "I've met your mother one time, and let me tell you, Bruce and Selina would've been a lovely couple. And now, you two would made yourselves quite a happy couple when you're married."
It got both Ethan and Lita blushed of his statement as Thomas then turns to him.
"And Ethan, you won't get away this time. Let's have a drink." Thomas offered.
"Thanks, but I'm still a minor." Ethan politely declined.
"Well, that's too bad. All we have a water." Thomas told him as he head towards the bar counter to grab a drink, leaving Ethan and Lita alone as he heard the alarm from the ear microphone.
'Sorry for interrupting your catch up, but I'm receiving a report that there's a child abduction by a villain at the abandoned warehouse. I've already sending coordinates to Emily, so you and Lita better get going.' Iwao informed him, ending transmission.
"Sounds like we've got work." Ethan said. "Feel up for it?"
"Better than sticking around here." Lita told him with a smirk as she and Ethan left the party.
Just as Thomas arrived with a drinks, he noticed that both Ethan and Lita had already left which it got him confused. He shrugged and drink his own with a chuckle.
After Batman and Catwoman suited up, they head towards the abandoned warehouse where the police surrounded the building while the media arrived. Barbara was waiting for them to arrive since the villain has demanded ransom. Once Batman and Catwoman arrived, the police spread out and letting them through.
"Commissioner, what's going on in there?" Batman asked.
"A child was abducted at the playground this morning, and was taken by three criminals at the abandoned warehouse." Barbara informed him. "They demand ransom for his release."
Batman and Catwoman replied with a nod as he quickly fired his Batclaw into the top of the building, grabs her, and entered inside of the building. Once inside, they split up and starts sneak inside while quietly looking for the criminals, who're patrolling. Batman quietly lands behind of the criminal as he deliver an elbow strike, forcing the criminal to discard an M16 Rifle while deliver a backfist to the face, followed by double knife edge chop to the neck, and knocking him out by a knee to the nose.
"Here I thought those villains learn, but I guess not." Catwoman said when Batman fired his Batclaw into the metallic rail.
One of the villains turned with his M16 Rifle ready while walking back a few steps when Catwoman quietly approaches him. The second villain yelped when Catwoman punched him hard in the neck, grabs him, and knocked him out by knife edge chopped him in the back of the neck.
"It's not like them to be in so public." Batman told her.
But little did they know, Red X also arrived at the building, watching both Batman and Catwoman from the shadows. The third criminal was guarding a hostile named Kota, who's hyperventilating in panic and bring tied into a chair with ropes. But Batman throw the bolas at the villains neck, then dropkicked him, knocking him out. Catwoman then uses her claws, cutting the ropes and freeing Kota.
"Everything will be fine, kid." Catwoman assures him.
"You're Catwoman!" Kota exclaims, then turns to Batman. "And you're Batman!"
"Where is it?!"
The shout was heard when Batman, Catwoman, and Kota turns when they saw a muscular villain leap in front of them.
"Where's the damn money?!"
Just as the muscular villain rushes after the two vigilantes and Kota, they're able to dodge a downward punch which made him hit the chair. Kota flees while the muscular villain was about to deliver his hammer fist strike, causing Batman to jump up of the structure and then leaps in midair while throwing his 4 batarangs at him. The muscular villain grunts when the batarangs hit him in the chest and shoulders, but Catwoman cracked her whip, wrapping his leg around as she pulls the criminal, making him tumble down to the floor.
The muscular villain was about to get up when Batman delivered a curb stomp, knocking him out.
After the quick fight was over, Kota approaches Batman and Catwoman.
"Your parents are waiting for you at the front." Batman told him with the assured smile.
Kota even remembered of Batman saved his parents called Water Hose from a villain named Muscular 2 years ago back at the city. Kota nods with a smile as Batman and Catwoman were about to escort him when Red X revealed himself from the shadows.
"Batman, Catwoman." Red X called them, earned their attention. "Relax you guys, I'm not here to fight."
"Shouldn't you be heading back to US?" Catwoman inquires.
"I was, but one of the League of Assassins came to me and deliver a message." Red X told them. "But before you two go trigger happy, I'm just a messenger boy."
"The League of Assassins has no business here." Batman told him with a brooding glare.
"Normally, I agree with you on that one, but whenever someone tried anything, it makes it their business. After Ra's Al Ghul was killed for making a deal with the Riddler and the Court of Owls, Talia Al Ghul became the new leader of the League of Assassins. She's been doing her things her way after hearing the death of Bruce Wayne." Red X explains. "They came to me to find you, the League has been influx."
"And should we care, why?" Batman questions.
"Because someone managed to get their base without getting caught and using the Lazarus Pit." Red X answered. "They need to know if you know anything about this."
"No, but if what you're telling us is true, then we should look into it." Batman told him.
"Maybe we should." Red X agrees. "I better get going, let me know if you got anything."
And with that, Red X left the building. Barbara and Water Hose revealed themselves when they saw Batman, Catwoman, and Kota as they turned to them.
"Mom! Dad!" Kota called them, rushing to his parents as they hugged their son.
"Is it too much to ask for one quiet weekend?" Barbara questions.
"Apparently." Batman answered simply.
"Well, thanks for saving Kota." Barbara thanked them.
"While you're here, we saw Red X that night." Catwoman told her. "Apparently, the League of Assassins has business with someone."
"What do you mean?" Barbara questions. "They have no business here."
"That's what we thought, but someone managed to find their hideout and use the Lazarus Pit." Batman points out. "We don't know who's been using a Lazarus Pit."
Barbara could only sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose which she knows that there's gonna be more trouble in Japan.
"Alright, I'll try and look into it, but you two should be heading out. We'll take cares of things here." Barbara suggested as Batman and Catwoman left the building.
Both Batman and Catwoman were running at the rooftop, leaping over and down to the other rooftop. After a few minutes of running and leaping from rooftop to rooftop, Catwoman leaps down at the 19 foot building, lands on the training. Batman fires his Batclaw into the building and launches himself to catch up to Catwoman, but a sniper bullet snapped the cable and making the Dark Knight fall which it got her attention after landed on the building with her whip.
"No..." Catwoman muttered with dread.
"Ethan..." Red X said in panic.
Batman continued to fall fast when he tried to grab a building, but it crumbles and then, the Dark Knight crashes down on the ground with an impact, leaving him unconscious and bloodied from his nose.
Apparently, the assailant was satisfied with his kill when his face was revealed from the shadows, who happen to be Hush.
"Hush, Batman...Hush..." Hush said with a sinister smirk on his face, leaving the scene.
At the streets, six street thugs manage to find Batman, who's rendered unconscious.
"Ha, told you it was him, fell out of the sky like a dead pigeon."
Just as one of the street thugs was about to take the mask, the blinding cloth wrapped his arm around and pulled him. The street thug was knocked out by a kick to the face.
"You know fellas, you shouldn't be taking someone's mask off. Because that'll be a spit in the face." The voice of Eraser Head said when he revealed himself with a glare.
The street thugs glared at Eraser Head when a whip cracked the second street thug in the face, making him cry in pain. Catwoman lands next to Eraser Head and in front of Batman with a smirk on her face.
"Back off, boys. He's mine." Catwoman warned them, bringing out her claws.
"You six better leave if you know what's good for you." The voice of Red X adds, revealed himself from the shadows.
The street thugs then began to surround them. One of them pulls out a switch knife.
"How about we cut him in two, and then the three of you."
"After we're done with you, he means."
"Naughty, naughty, there's a 3 strikes law in this city, boys." Catwoman told them when the second thug charged after her when she dodge that attack and counter by delivering a spinning heel kick to the face. "That was one."
The third thug grabs a crowbar and about to strike, but Eraser Head delivers a punch to the chin.
"That's two." Eraser Head said.
The fourth thug then raise his baseball bat when Red X delivers a leg sweep and then uses an armbar, snapped his arm.
"And that's three." Red X said when Catwoman cracks her whip right in wrist, forcing the fifth thug to lose his weapon and she whipped him in the ass, making him yelp.
"You know some guys pay for that." Catwoman states with a smirk.
'Good thing Midnight isn't around to see that.' Eraser Head mentally thought with a sweat drop.
Until, they heard a loud noise when Batgirl arrived at the streets with her motorcycle. Batgirl jumps off the motorcycle as the thugs were about to rush are her. Batgirl slammed their heads, leaping in midair, and sweeps her leg, causing the thug to knock down to the ground as she stood up, readied her fighting stance.
"Man, screw this!"
And with that, the street thugs then ran off when they stopped and fell down to the ground when Midnight revealed herself.
"You guys made it easy for me." Midnight states with a smirk, but noticed Batman was on the ground as she rushes to him. "Batman! Batman!"
"What happened?" Eraser Head asks.
"I don't know." Catwoman said. "After we save that kid from those criminals, we were about to leave. And next thing I knew, he fell out of the sky and crashed into the ground."
Batgirl and Eraser Head then noticed something with the Batclaw, which was snapped off.
"If I have to guess, someone used a sniper to snap off the cable." Eraser Head said.
"Delta and Red Hood don't seem the type to do that, but who? I'm not sure." Batgirl said when Batman groans. "We should get him to the Batcave to patch him up."
Eraser Head and Batgirl grabs Batman over their shoulders as they head to the Batmobile.
At the Batcave, Iwao was furious after hearing of his nephew being hurt pretty bad, but he wanted to know who's after the Dark Knight. They were able to bandage him up between the ribs and the head, while placing a neck brace around his neck. However, they examined him which his ribs were broken along with the head injury.
"You're right, the Batclaw is snapped with a bullet. Whoever shot it must've been a pro sniper." Tamao states, but turns to her cousin with worry. "How is he?"
"With a couple of injuries, his head injury is something we can't fix." Emily told her.
"He needs a hospital." Dick suggested with a glare.
"No need." Aizawa said, hanging up his cellphone. "I've already called Recovery Girl, she said she'll do a brain surgery when you bring him in at U.A. High. She's bringing someone else who specializes the brain surgery."
"Thomas Elliot, maybe?" Lita inquires, earned a nod from Aizawa.
"Wait, back up, Thomas Elliot is here? In Japan?" Dick asks with his eyes in shock.
"What? You know him besides the renowned brain surgeon?" Emily asks curiously.
"Yeah, but he has a dark secret." Dick replied, then turns to Eri. "Eri, pull out a file that said 'Thomas Elliot'."
Eri began working on a computer by typing a name when the screen of Thomas Elliot, AKA Hush, was revealed from the screen.
"His criminal name goes by 'Hush'. He's well-known as a brain surgeon and became friends with Bruce Wayne, but he blames him after his mother died from cancer." Dick explains. "The fortune goes to Bruce after his parents were killed that Thomas had sought to create himself and wanted the fortune. His mentality that would one day fuel an elaborate plot to destroy Bruce."
It got them shocked of Dick's explanation of Thomas' dark secret.
"Thomas became Hush that was based on a song called 'Hush, Little Baby.'" Dick continued. "It happened before back in Gotham City. He played mind games onto Bruce, which was well-played out."
"That sounded like he's a strategist when it comes to deception." Jason said when he approaches them. "If anything, Bruce was able to figure it out while fallen into Elliot's trap."
"Yeah, but Bruce won the fight in the end." Dick replied. "But...Thomas somehow survived from being burn back at the abandoned metal works. I don't know how, but for some reason...unless..."
"The Lazarus Pit." Lita guessed, scowled. "Damn! So that's why Red X warned us about the intruder..."
"What do you mean by that?" Jason asks when they turned to him.
"The League of Assassins wanted to know someone who entered the Lazarus Pit and uses it." Lita explains. "And I think Thomas Elliot managed to find their hideout and uses the Lazarus Pit to make him younger."
They were completely stunned of her answered, which it got them wondering how Thomas was able to survive and being young.
"Damn...and now, he's coming after Ethan." Aizawa growled in anger.
"Jason." Dick called him, earned his attention. "I'm not gonna like this, but if you saw Hush...kill him."
"What?!" Jason exclaims. "Why?"
"Because the effects of the Lazarus Pit won't be able to last forever, not for Elliot." Dick told him. "After that, he'll lose his strength, he'll also lose his mind."
"Wait, the Lazarus Pit won't last?" Emily asks.
"That's right." Dick replied. "You see, the Lazarus Pit can bring someone back from the dead, like me and Jason, but it won't wear us off if that's what you're wondering. The Lazarus Pit is powerful, it can resurrect the dead, heal your injuries, and rejuvenate the sick. Ra's Al Ghul has used it longer than any of use and granted him immortality, but there's a catch, it can make anyone insane and gains increased strength for a brief period. It can only use one time."
"Which means you were revived once while Jason was revived only twice now." Eri states, earned a nod from Dick and Jason.
"We're still in our prime thanks to the Lazarus Pit, but for Thomas, not so much." Jason points out, then turns to Dick. "And Grayson, if that's what you want, then I'll be sure to put an end of Thomas...for good."
Dick nods since he knows that Ethan was right about the 'no killing' code, but decided to put an end of Hush's misery.
