Summary (Work in Progress): Every child's nightmare is to lose a parent, Luz's nightmare becomes a reality when her mom is murdered, leaving her and her dad, along with the whole world, shocked. With Camila gone, it's up to Eda to be a motherly figure to Luz.

The headline of every newspaper, every news station, every post on social media, was all the same.

'Empress Camila has been Murdered!'

Emperor Belos slammed his fist on the table in anger.

"You are to find the bastard that killed her!" He screamed, "Lilith, you are in charge of finding the person responsible!"

"Yes, my Emperor."

"Edalyn, as my daughter's teacher, I need you... to help Luz."

Eda gave a mock salute.

"You got it boss man."

He didn't even have the energy to get annoyed at her. Lilith took the guards and left. Eda was following but heard something. She looked behind her and saw Belos, with his back to her. Eda knew he was trying his hardest not to cry.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked.

Belos took off his mask and wiped the tears away.

"No... no I'm not. I lost the love of my life." He said, "I... I miss her so much. I'm such a mess without her, I can't even get Luz out of her room."

"You know, you aren't the only one who misses her. Everyone in the castle, everyone on the Isles, misses her. She was the most loved person here, she was the first person I felt comfortable calling a friend in over two decades. No one, not even me, will blame you for crying." She held his hand, "The person responsible, will be found. I swear on Camila's grave."

Belos looked at her and did something that even Belos himself was surprised by... he hugged her.

"Thank you." He said.

Eda put her arms around him, giving him comfort. Eda walked to Luz's room where she found Luz's cousin, Hunter.

"Anything?" Eda asked.

"She won't even respond. I've tried everything she likes to get her out, magic, Azura, I even tried to say that her little girlfriend was here. Nothing."

"Let me try." Eda said.

"Good luck, her door is locked."

"You forget." Eda pulled out a hair pin, "Before I was her teacher, I was the best criminal on the Isles."

It took Eda less than four seconds to unlock the door.

"See how easy that was?"

Eda opened the door and went inside, finding Luz, lying on her bed with her back facing the door.

"Kid?"

She heard Luz sniffling and walked up to her.

"Luz?"

"Why did they do it?" Luz asked, "Why did they kill my mom?"

Eda sat on the edge of the bed and put a hand on Luz's shoulder.

"I don't know, but they will be found. I promise you."

Luz turned around and hugged Eda.

"I miss her, so much." Luz said, crying into Eda's chest.

Eda put her arms around Luz.

"I know, Kid. I miss her too."
