Summary (work in progress): Luz is given a choice by her sister, either go to camp and be normal, or go with her to work and learn secrets about their family that have been kept secret.

Luz looked out the window as the car kept going.

"Come on, Hermana, I'm sure camp won't be that bad." Lucia said.

Luz just sighed. Lucia took her cigarette out and tossed it out the window.

"Alright, here's what I'm going to do." Lucia said, "I'm going to give you a choice, either you can go to camp and become boring, or, you could come with me to my job."

"Uh, won't mom realize I'm not at camp when I return home with you?" Luz asked.

"Who said you'd come back?" Luz was silent, "Okay that came out wrong. What I mean is, you would be living with my boss for the summer. What do you say?"

Luz thought about it for a second, anything seemed to be better than camp.

"Okay, I'll go with you."

Lucia quick made a, highly Illegal, U-turn and drove back to their house. They got out and Lucia quickly rushed Luz to the old cabin by their house. Lucia pulled out an old key.

"Uh, Lucia, what's going on?"

"This key, I don't know why, but it only works for me."

"What do you mean it only works for you? It's a key."

"Watch."

Lucia pressed the key and a door popped up. It began to shine bright and Lucia smiled.

"You want a fantasy world? You got one."

Lucia pulled Luz into the door and closed it behind her.

"Luz, welcome to the Boiling Isles, a place full of witches, demons, magic and a bunch of other stuff that I'm not going to bother with explaining." Lucia said, "Come on, let's go see my boss."

"This place is insane, actual magic!? How long have you known about this place!?"

"Let's see." Lucia said trying to do the math, "I'm twenty two, so about... eight years."

"You've known about this place for eight years!?"

"Yeah, but let's talk about later."

They walked around for a while, some... creatures, looked scared of Lucia.

"Uh, why are they looking at you like that?"

"Let's just say, I have a reputation." Lucia said, "How are you?"

"Good, why?"

"Give it a few days. Your body will start to... change."

Lucia didn't explain anymore, much to Luz's dismay.

"Here we are, my boss's stand." Lucia said, "She's a great, powerful, and-"

"Hungover." Eda said, "Hey, Beanie, what's new?"

"Not much, brought my little sister with me."

Eda looked at her and came to a conclusion.

"She looks like your mom did at that age." Eda said.

"You know my mom?!"

"Yeah, that girl came here when she was your age. Pretty good at making Potions." Eda noticed a couple guards coming up to her stand, "Here we go."

"Eda the Owl Lady, Lucia the Human Witch. You are under arrest for misuse of magic and demonic misdemeanors."

"Luz, get behind me."

Luz went behind the stand and Lucia tried to reason with them.

"Now, we can do this the easy way-"

Lucia was quickly hit hard enough to knock her down. She picked herself up and leaned against the stand.

"Oh, they done it now." Eda said.

Lucia wiped the blue blood from her nose and smiled.

"Get Luz to the Owl House." Lucia said, "I got this."
