Family/Type: Abnormality/Fairy
Risk Level: TETH
Habitat: Forests
Diet: Meat and Men's Spirit Energy
Disposition: Gluttonous, Hungry
Appearing as a fairy sitting on a small branch of a tree. Faelantern appears to be a supposedly harmless mamano to those uninitiated.
However, the fairy body is a lie and is used as a lure to lure prey to their death. Her real body is underneath the tree, being a bunch of glowing yellow eyes peering from the shadows.
In terms of behavior, Faelantern uses her fairy body to lure in male targets and other critters to be eaten. The latter she just consumes using her roots to dice them up and then consumes them using her true body's mouth. However, for the former, she simply uses her roots as pleasuring tools to have them release spirit energy into her mouth.
When noting her disposition, she is known to be rather gluttonous and hungry. This can be seen when her fairy body always points out that she needs sustenance almost all the time.
As for which habitat she tends to stick around in, Faelantern likes to stay in forests. The reason for this is because so she can stick not as much.
After the Mamano Lord declared to have the mamanos not hold back against the Order, once they began to break great taboos, Faelantern returned to her more violent habits, preying on Order members wielding Argent Energy alongside the other man-eating Abnormalities.
Speaking of man-eating Abnormalities, it is theorized by other mamanos that Faelantern is related to the fairy abnormalities named Fairy Festival (a ZAYIN), and the two TETHs Fairy Long Legs and Fairy Gentleman. This can be attributed to all of them being man-eaters before their transformation into sexy mamanos and also all being fairies.
In combat, Faelantern can hypnotize people into approaching her so that they get into the attack range of her roots. However, if there is more than one individual, then some of them she could not lure. As mentioned before in this entry, Faelantern can use her roots to impale her targets, either going for single or multiple targets. However, if her fairy body is damaged, this would force her real body to emerge, allowing her attackers to aim at her real body without being lured. Although Faelantern can regenerate the fairy body to begin the luring process again, her true body will go back underground to begin the process again.
As for what type of damage she does she can do [MISSING INFORMATION] damage. She is also [MISSING INFORMATION]to RED, [MISSING INFORMATION] to WHITE, [MISSING INFORMATION] to BLACK, and [MISSING INFORMATION] to PALE.
Her fairy body appears to resemble that of the fairies of our world, albeit appearing entirely teal-colored and transparent. This fairy body tends to sit on the tree portion of the abnormality and can speak to her would-be prey or anyone else.
Her true body resembles that of a vague humanoid made up of a mass of eyes. This true body is typically buried under the tree itself and also underneath the ground. Speaking of the true body, the mass of eyes is capable of utilizing roots that seem to come out of said mass. She also has a mouth where one would expect, despite her true body being made up of eyes, and is capable of digestion.
A Scholar's Notes: Interestingly, Faelantern is considered an Aberration of another Abnormality known as Meat Lantern. This can be seen by the fact the two abnormalities have similar names relating to lanterns and also function somewhat similarly in that they lure prey with false innocence and attack from the ground. Other than that, both are noticeably different, with Faelantern being akin to fairies and nature while Meatlantern is a strange-looking creature.
A/N: Yeah, there's a rather new Abnormality from the recent new game Limbus Company made by ProjectMoon. So yeah, I am including other Abnormalities that shall show up from other media in the ProjectMoon universe.
And yeah, this abnormality shows up in Refraction Railway 2 as a boss, although I wonder if anyone else knows about Limbus Company, anyway?
