Chapter two
Quinn hadn't been happy for years. She had moments of happiness, but didn't everyone? She felt this sadness, slowly winning her over each day that passed. At first she thought it was because she was an ugly, fat, child who had no friends. When she went from Lucy to Quinn, she thought it was a punishment from God, as people were made in the image of his mind. Even after Quinn achieved getting head cheerleader in her freshman year (something unheard of in McKinley) she still felt the sadness.
She sometimes wished she was more like Rachel, unaffected by people's words, actions, and whatever else they did to her. Rachel hardly let her smile falter, never showed any signs of being hurt (though people did awful things to her) and never gave up on her dreams. She relentlessly bullied Rachel throughout freshman and the start of her sophomore year, trying to make her give up on said dreams, yet she never let it affect her and still showed Quinn kindness when she had gotten pregnant. Quinn didn't know how Rachel could be so forgiving to her after how awfully she had treated her for over a year, and if she hadn't gotten pregnant she would've continued with it. Santana and Brittany had shown less affection to her when she had gotten pregnant though they were meant to be her best friends and Rachel was meant to be her enemy. Quinn couldn't figure out why Rachel wasn't awful to her considering she deserved it. She also couldn't figure out why her? Why had she bullied her? Why was Quinn so invested in Rachel's life? And why was she jealous of Rachel and Finn?
During the summer, Quinn had worked out nonstop to get the baby weight off of her so she could go back to her old life. Though there were still stretch marks and fading scars on her thighs and stomach, she felt like she was able to be head cheerleader again. She and her mother had moved back in together, though it was slightly awkward as Judy still felt guilt hanging over her. She felt like Lucy again this summer, constantly reading, hardly going out unless it was to loose weight, dieting, and playing her piano. Whilst she was pregnant, Quinn fell back in love with playing the piano as she stopped when she got head cheerleader and didn't need music in her life. She did everything she could to hide her old life when she first joined McKinley, as she wanted to feel like a new person. She had a new name, a new look, and a new life. Maybe this was why Quinn was so invested with Rachel, Rachel never hid who she truly was, and still got to date the quarterback of McKinley High.
erm i really don't like this chapter, i think it jumps around too much but oh well, i need to study for my calculus test that's tomorrow so hopefully this is okay. hope you enjoyed.
