Author's Note: Look, it took me some time to figure out where I can plug in some smut in an otherwise super serious season 2 that it was. At least I knew there was a lot of down time in the TVA in the early episodes of season 1 lol. Anyway, have some smut between these two idiots. I have a few more ideas that want to fall out of my brain so keep an eye out for those, maybe?

Lime Libations

It wasn't often that someone could slip away from Loki, but when it was someone who was quite skilled at trickery and deception like theirself, it tended to require more effort to get ahead of their schemes. Though, losing the Judge and Timely frustrated Mobius to no end, Loki found the game intriguing despite the underlying doom that was on the line.

"Dammit!" Mobius shouted, kicking a wooden bucket. "They got away! Just slipped right through my fingers!"

Loki approached their handler, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, we'll—"

Mobius shrugged Loki off him, stomping away aimlessly, he ripped off his bowl hat and threw it violently at the dirt and proceeded to kick it into a wall for good measure.

"I lost them just like I lost you back at Roxxcart!"

His breath became quick and unstable, he gripped at his salt-pepper hair and pulled at it in frustration. "Stupid… stupid…"

That statement stung a little bit, but there was no real heat behind it, either. Even though the TVA has been (mostly) dismantled and being reinstated under a new point of view and goals, it was difficult to let old habits die. Mobius was very passionate about his job, so losing the target wasn't something that settled well with him. Loki learned this quickly about the agent.

"Mobius," Loki said calmly, placing a hand on his back this time. "It's alright. We will find them. Just… take a breath, it's okay."

The agent nodded, dragging his hands over his face, he let out a slow breath and stood up straight. Loki flourished their hand to collect the discarded hat and corrected it, dusting it off before offering it to him.

"Thanks," Mobius said, placing it back on his head. "Sorry, lost my nerve there."

"No need to explain."

It was then that Loki remembered a place they bypassed not long ago; a diner nestled just on the outskirts of the fair. A handwritten sign in the window advertised pie, and so Loki knew where they were going to next.

"I have an idea. Come with me," they said, grabbing Mobius by the elbow to guide him out of the alleyway.

If it's one thing Loki learned about their handler, food always calmed him down. Especially sweets.

The Misplaced Diner was a fitting name for such an establishment. It seemed off, but Loki couldn't put their finger on as to why exactly. They quickly dismissed this thought and led Mobius through the door, a small bell chimed above their heads when they entered. It was dim, the lighting being a mixture of oil lamps and wax candles, obviously it was not ready to integrate electricity yet. It gave the place a private feeling, yet also felt a bit seedy, like it was really meant to be a bar but offered a more innocent appearance at a glance.

There wasn't a soul around.

They took a seat at the bar and perused the menu hanging above them. The specials were hand written in chalk and Loki's eyes lit up upon seeing 'NEW: Aunt Sally's Lime Pie' listed.

A young lady—who almost looked too young to be working here—emerged through the double-swinging doors and approached them, holding a notepad and pen between black fingerless gloves. Her skin was unusually pale to Loki, and her hair was as black as her spaghetti strap tank top. A black leather strap necklace wrapped around her throat, donning a silver ankh cross that rested close to her throat. Her piercing silver eyes were outlined in black liner, and they noticed a small tattoo of what appeared to be a snake curling down just under her right eye from the outer corner (the Eye of Ra?). She had a double pierced left eyebrow that donned two silver snakes that seemed to imitate an infinity symbol.

She was in fact placed very out of time.

Those eyes met Loki's then, and they bore into their emerald green, as if she was wanting to read their very soul, but before they could react to the feeling, her gaze swept over to Mobius instead.

"What can I get you folks?"

Mobius didn't seem to be as reactive to her appearance, barely acknowledging her at all actually, which was peculiar to Loki. They ordered for them before Mobius hummed and ha'd over the menu.

"Two slices of Aunt Sally's lime pie, please," Loki said.

"And coffee," Mobius added. "With cream and sugar, if you have it."

"Sure thing," the waitress (barkeep?) said, smiling.

She pulled a bowl out from behind the counter and placed it between them before turning to disappear behind the doors. It was only then did Loki spot the black pencil skirt and the clicking of her vibrant cherry red wedge heels that finished her out-of-time style. They let out a low hum of curiosity before focusing back on Mobius, who had already started picking through the mixed nuts that were present in said bowl.

Loki gladly grabbed a couple as well.

"Strange place, is it not?" they asked, hoping that they weren't the only one who felt like they stepped out of reality when they entered the diner. "Unusual lady, too. Certainly not dressed for the time."

Mobius half-shrugged, popping a couple almonds in his mouth. His mind was hung up on the Judge, Loki wagered.

"Please talk to me, Mobius," Loki encouraged, leaning closer to their handler. "You're hung up on seeing her again, aren't you?"

They tried to hide the jealousy in their words, knowing that wouldn't help the situation. Mobius and Renslayer had a deep, personal, intimate relationship together that spread through countless years. He was quite private about it, actually, but Loki was nosy and found out far more than they probably should have between the two. Needless to say, the betrayal still didn't hurt any less to Mobius, and it didn't help the possessive, judgemental nature Loki harnessed, either.

"It's just…" Mobius sighed. "I wish she would understand where I am coming from, educate her on what she believes is right is actually not. We used to see eye to eye on a lot of things, but now it's just…" Mobius picked at a thread on the cuff of his jacket sleeve. "It's like she's an entirely different person than who I used to know… or thought I knew, anyway."

Loki knew all too well about that predicament with Odin.

"She isn't worth it," Loki said before thinking. "People who think like her can never see reason or change."

Mobius gave Loki a side look at that, and Loki swallowed back the rest of their rant. One of their hands wandered onto Mobius' knee.

"I do not like seeing you like this… seeing you hurt," Loki continued.

"I just feel a sense of obligation to help her, you know?" Mobius countered. "She… We… go back a long time."

The tone in his voice wounded Loki. If such a brief encounter with her caused their handler so much pain, how will he keep it together when they apprehend them?

Loki needed to fix this, quickly.

"Here ya are, folks," the woman said, placing two pies and a mug of hot coffee in front of them. "Feel free to enjoy yourselves."

Loki's hand flew off Mobius' leg immediately. She gave Loki a knowing look, smirking mysteriously as she slid an unordered filled shot glass in his direction and disappeared behind the doors without another word.

Mobius lit up at the sight of the pie, grabbing the fork and immediately digging in. Loki didn't bother with theirs, finding the dessert far too sweet. Instead, they ate the nuts from the bowl and simply observed the agent enjoy his treat. Unfortunately for Loki, that jealousy overcame him from listening to his thoughts.

"The Judge doesn't deserve your pain or sympathy, Mobius," Loki pressed on, "Would she extend the same sentiment to you if the roles were reversed?"

Mobius stalled the fork to his mouth, giving them a harsh, sharp glare. It was a look Loki hadn't seen on the agent before, he hit a nerve.

"I… I would like to think she would—"

"But she didn't," they cut in, "She pruned you! She literally kicked you down the stairs. She might as well have spat venom in your face with the exchange of words you had earlier." Loki was growing flustered at the situation, at Mobius' refusal to see the negative. Sometimes his thought process infuriated them.

"How many more times are you going to allow her to make you suffer when she clearly does not care about you anymore?"

Mobius went silent. The air around them was heavy, thick with heated emotions and candle smoke. Loki took the shot left behind, letting the bite of hard liquor wash over their sharp-laced tongue. Mobius finally took the bite of pie that lingered in the deadspace, keeping his attention hyper focused on the pie now.

Loki messed up…

"I'm… I'm sorry," they muttered, stopping the urge to touch his arm. "I just hate knowing someone has hurt you so… deeply."

Mobius gave a weak nod in understanding, taking a sip of coffee—another delicacy Loki didn't fancy. He let out a soft moan of satisfaction before finishing the pie in two small bites. The twinge that teased Loki's core had them shift in their seat. He took the opportunity to gently slide the tip of his shoe up Mobius' calf. The response from him alone sent another jolt of pleasure through them.

"Feeling better?"

"A bit, yes." He met Loki's emerald gaze. "Even that cruel silver tongue of yours knows its way around me."

The god smirked at this, leaning close enough to smell the sweetness of lime and bitterness of coffee in the air between them.

"I'm sure I could help you out even more, if you choose." Loki's hand found its way back on Mobius' thigh, and they didn't hesitate to let it keep going. "Perhaps we find a different way to ease this disagreement between us?"

This seemed to startle Mobius. He glanced around the dark, vacant space before checking the double doors behind the counter. It was unusually quiet back there for a business, but it wasn't something Loki really cared about right now. Not even the strange woman who bothered them prior wasn't a thought on their mind in the moment.

"What? Here?" Mobius caught Loki's wandering hand. "In public?"

"Quite private, actually," Loki said, tone hushed as they brushed their lips against Mobius'.

The agent crumbled then, melting into the kiss as his own hands reached for Loki's white dress shirt. Misbehaving was Loki's specialty, after all, and they wanted to help their handler find that well needed release. Mobius nearly climbed onto Loki's lap as he deepened their kiss. Jackets were discarded to the floor with his bowl hat (Loki never did bother recovering their own), and he was tugging on the vest buttons before somewhat coming to his senses.

"To the back…" Mobius ordered when he pulled away.

Getting to his feet, Loki was quickly led to a convenient storage room tucked away in the far corner. It was better than the restroom or back alley, Loki mused. The sudden contact their back made to the wall sent a shock of excitement through them. Mobius was wanting it rough. Loki smiled wickedly at this while they were being ravished by the agent. Hissing at the sting one of his bites caused on their neck, it gave Loki an idea. They gave Mobius' ear a nibble before whispering.

"Fuck me like she did you."

The double-meaning behind that statement set something off in Mobius just like Loki hoped it would.

It didn't take much effort to shift into something more fitting for him, either. Mobius worked the clothes off her rather quickly, and she barely managed to slip under his loosened beltline to get a proper feel of how hungry Mobius was before she was denied the contact with a swat to her hand. He pressed her firmly against the wall with a forearm to her bare flat chest, using his free hand to slide up her now naked thighs. Mobius' brow slightly raised when he sank three fingers deep into her cunt. It was fast, rough, exciting. Loki moaned into the tight space between them, begging for more contact. She lunged for him, but Mobius pushed back hard with his arm, slamming her against the wall, leaning into her.

"No misbehaving, sweetheart," he growled against her ear, flicking his tongue at the nape of her neck.

"No rest for the wicked," Loki panted out, snaking a leg around his still clothed one.

She drug her hands across his chest, relinquishing his own white shirt off his shoulders and discarding it. She still half-wore hers to dampen the chafing on her back, but her trousers were tangling around their ankles. Loki shivered as Mobius aggressively worked her core, her slick drenching his digits and her folds. She dug her pointed nails down his lower back while he sucked and bit the crook of her neck and collarbone, causing him to groan and further press himself firmly against her. She smiled, tucking her hands between his waistline again and firmly grabbed his arse, spreading his cheeks just enough to tease a finger against his hole. He shuddered violently at the contact.

"Ah, you like this?" She half-whispered. "Did she make you feel this good?"

She let her finger explore him, and Mobius melted against her, struggling to stay upright. Loki reveled in this response, thrusting her hips against his hard cock despite his hand interfering.

"Did she?"

"N-No," he breathed out.

He muffled a grunt by capturing her lips with his. Loki could still taste the sweetness of the pie lingering on his breath. She shimmied his trousers down enough to release his cock to which Mobius removed his digits and hastily plowed himself into her. The difference of intrusion had Loki mewl in ecstasy. He pushed his body firmly against her, grabbing her hips to hoist her up the wall and work himself even deeper.

"Don't stop," he muttered against her shoulder.

Loki placed her hand firmly on his arse cheek again, keeping it taut while she pumped a finger into him. She could feel him quivering, readying to climax, she increased her probing to encourage him to let go.

"Fuck me, Mobius!" Loki hissed, ignoring the stabs of pain streaking up her back from being thrust against it. "…Mobius."

Mobius shoved her hard against the wall with his own body, burying his face into her bruising shoulder and neck. He grunted deeply, biting her once more as he unraveled. She yelped at the sting, at the roughness, the pain mixing with absolute pleasure as she joined in his euphoria. He held her firmly against him while they rode through their orgasms. Resting his forehead against hers, they panted through their exhaustion, stealing light kisses and nuzzles from one another while he carefully lowered them both to the floor, breaking that sacred connection in the process.

Loki carassed Mobius' bare chest, watching as it sent him trembling. They cupped their hands around Mobius' face, waiting for him to open his eyes and meet their gaze.

"I take care of you now, love," they muttered, reassuring him with a light kiss. "You don't need her anymore," they continued, peppering him with more kisses. "We will get through this together."

Mobius gave a slow nod in return. Loki flourished a hand after a few moments of silent bliss, dressing them both back to the nines for public eyes. They left the storage room as if nothing had happened, but the woman suddenly appearing near them as Mobius left a few bills on the counter gave Loki quite a scare.

"Y'all are welcome to come back here anytime now," she said, winking at them as she cleared their plates.

Loki could see Mobius' face glowing red with embarrassment, they couldn't get out of the diner fast enough, leaving their dirty little secret behind.

They needed to track down one of Victor's associates in order to figure out where he could have run off to, but all Loki was thinking about was if Mobius will be able to hold it together when he sees Renslayer again.
