"So do you think you're pregnant?" Shonda asked her new daughter-in-law.
Emily and Marcus had been having sex months before the wedding and Emily was now immortal.
"It's certainly possible and I certainly won't mind if I am, but I don't really know for sure," Emily admitted answering her new mother-in-law. "I understand that I'm not going to get the morning sickness that I would normally, because of you know," Emily said.
Emily didn't want to say immortal since she and Shonda were in public and though nobody was close by, but why take the risk?
"Yeah, that's the problem with being what we are," Shonda agreed quietly. "The way you can tell is if you start eating more than you normally do because you're always hungry, even in the first few months before most woman are aware they are pregnant. That's something that Jazz and I discovered from her first pregnancy. If you start gaining weight that's a sign that you're pregnant."
Emily considered that then nodded. "I don't believe I'm pregnant then, as I haven't been need more than normal. At least now I know that if I start eating a lot more than I normally do that I should buy a pregnancy test since there will be no morning sickness."
"It will happen it just takes time," Shonda said serenely. "Babies come in their own time."
"Yeah, they do," Emily agreed, as she and Shonda sat at one of the tables that had been set up for the reception.
"You don't need the added stress, as that can prevent conception and that's as true for us just as it is for other people," Shonda said.
"I won't stress about it then, but maybe, I'll get pregnant on the honeymoon and I won't mind that at all," Emily said. "I'm hoping not, so that Marcus and I have time to find a decent sized house since both of us only have apartments, well, Marcus has a condo but it's basically the same thing just fancier."
"Marcus and you might have to buy some land and build if you can't find anything within a few weeks after your honeymoon," Shonda said. "Aaron and I as well as Dave and Jazz have had to do that a few times."
"Marcus and I might have to do that, though that would mean that we'd have to share either his condo or my apartment until it was done," Emily said. "I'd say Marcus's condo, because it has an extra bedroom that can be converted."
"I wonder what Marcus needs with two bedrooms," Shonda wondered. "Two bedrooms is awfully big for one person, but then maybe the price was right."
"He uses it as an office actually," Emily said. "That office however, can be converted into a nursery if necessary until we can have a house built, but only if we need too."
"Well, that's convenient if you do have to have something built and can't find something that's being sold that's big enough."
"Well, we'll see," Emily said. "Let Marcus and I enjoy our honeymoon before we worry about such things."
"Probably a good idea," Shonda admitted. "You should enjoy your wedding day and honeymoon, as it's the only one you're going to get unless you and Marcus decide to renew vows or something decades from now."
"Do you know that Marcus and I decided to move away from Fort Worth once we married, as I'd like to get out of the city with so many bad memories, though we haven't decided where we're going to move to, which is another reason I hope I don't get pregnant for awhile."
"I can understand that," Shonda said, "since I know your childhood was one battle after another with your mother. I'm glad you didn't decide to move before you met my son or you never would have crossed paths."
"That's something I've realized already," Emily said. "That would've been more than tragic. I'm glad I decide to stay if only because of my siblings. I mean who wants to basically start over when they don't know anybody in whatever city they choose unless they absolutely have to."
The two women continued to talk for some time before Marcus came to find them and offered to take Emily out to the dance floor again.

~~~Marcus and Emily~~~
"Woo! There sure were a lot of people at our wedding and reception," Emily said once she and Marcus were alone in his condo. They left for their honeymoon in the morning.
"I told you my family was huge," Marcus told her with an adorable grin. "That wasn't even all of them as a lot of them didn't want to come, because they don't know me, even if technically we are related."
"You did and it wasn't like I didn't believe you, but still seeing is believing as the saying goes," Emily said. "I just couldn't seem to imagine as many people as you suggested awhile back in your family. You've got to be the largest family in the world. You could technically cut it in half since the Rossis aren't technically related to the Hotchners."
"Maybe not technically," Marcus said. "That doesn't matter though, whether or not we are related by blood. We are family all the same. Mom and my aunt are sisters whether or not they technically share DNA. Some people might care if they share blood or not to be considered family, but we don't."
"That's an attitude I definitely approve of," Emily said, even as she rested her head on the back of the couch she had fallen back on as soon as they had entered Marcus's condo.
She looked tired Marcus noticed, but then, that wasn't surprising as planning such a large event over months could be very tiring, even with lots of help. Emily had been on the go for sometime planning the wedding and while he had supplied a lot of the money necessary to get things for it he had mostly stayed out of it. It had just all caught up with her that was all, but luckily, she wasn't going to get sick from being so tired because she was immortal now. Still, even immortals could get run down if they didn't get adequate rest or started skipping meals because they were so busy. Losing a lot of weight really fast for instance wouldn't do an immortal any harm like it could a regular human. It could compromise a human's immune system though.
"We start our honeymoon in the morning so we might as well get some sleep," Marcus suggested.
"What? No making love?" Emily asked him in astonishment.
"You're tired and you should rest," Marcus told her. "Even an immortal can get run down, even if they're immune systems can't get compromised, so that they get sick."
"I'll be OK," Emily told him firmly, even though she was touched at Marcus's concern. "I'll be fine and I'll have plenty of chance to relax on the honeymoon. We can do as much or as little as we want to do. If we want to stay in bed for days, make love and sleep then that's OK with me. I appreciate the concern, but there's no need to be, I'm fine, just a little tired."
"Alright then," Marcus said, even as he stripped himself of his tuxedo jacket and laid it neatly on the back of a chair.
Emily also got to her feet and had Marcus unbutton the back of her wedding dress to where she then slipped out of it feet first.
"Thanks," Emily told him what she had laid the dress across another chair that was in the living area of Marcus's condo.
"You're welcome," Marcus told her smiling as he took Emily into his arms. Marcus reveled in the touch of her soft flesh, as she only had on a bra, slip and underwear now, so there was plenty of naked skin for him to run his hands over. The underwear was very fancy and feminine with lace at the legs and the waist and it looked like they were made of silk.
"That feels so good," Emily moaned as she closed her eyes and just absorbed Marcus's gentle touch.
"Good, I'll gladly do this for you every day for the rest of time," Marcus told her kissing her long elegant neck. "Now though you had better get out of your bra and slip or I'm gonna rip them to pieces."
The warning in Marcus's voice was obvious and once her new husband had released her she hurriedly pulled her bra over her head and arms and then took off her slip and underwear letting them puddle at her feet. She stepped out of them and then kicked them off to the side so that neither she or Marcus would trip over them just because they weren't paying attention.
Marcus, meanwhile, had taken off his underwear and also his white shirt as his tuxedo jacket was already laying on the back of a chair.
"Well, Ms. Emily. I plan to keep you very busy," Marcus told her in a sensual tone of voice.
"It's not like I'm going to object," Emily told him, even as she leaned up enough to kiss him passionately. She had to stand on her tiptoes to do so as Marcus was taller than her but she did. The kiss that followed was warm and perfect. It was loving and passionate and a whole bunch of other things that Emily couldn't describe at the moment since her brain had suddenly gone on the fritz.
Her brain always went on holiday whenever Marcus kissed her like he was kissing her now. Like she was the most important person in the world to him. It made her feel all warm and gooey inside, which was something she had never felt in her life before Marcus. She had gladly married him, because he was gentle, kind, sweet, loving and tender and a lot of other things besides.
His parents were also wonderful as well as the rest of the family and she would always look forward to seeing them.
Marcus picked up Emily's naked form and walked the the bedroom placing her on the bed, as soon as they had entered the room. He had already turned down in preparation. He, of course, had a king sized bed so it was quite a large playground for the two of them.
"I promise I'll love you for the rest of my very long life Emily Prentiss Hotchner."
"I promise the same," Emily said with passion and love in her voice.
The two of them started making love. Marcus knew Emily's body intimately since they had been doing it for months so he knew every place Emily was sensitive.
He used every technique he had learned in the past months to give his mate as much pleasure as he could before he entered her for the first time. His cock was very engorged and it didn't take him long at all to spurt his seed into Emily.
The two of them made love for most of the day and a lot of the night before they fell asleep in each others arms.
They couldn't wait for their honeymoon the next day where they were going to Hawaii, which neither one had been to, not even Marcus who had been alive for a very long time. It was just somewhere he had never visited yet so he was really looking forward to it. Even in this century Hawaii was still a vacation destination for millions of tourists every year. The two of them would eat a lot of different exotic foods, participate in a luau, go scuba diving and many other things while they were there. It would be an experience that they would remember for centuries afterwards.
While they were looking forward to having a family, hopefully, that wouldn't happen for at least a couple of years, but even if it did they would deal with it and be just as happy so long as they were together.
Marcus was forever grateful he had met Emily Lauren Prentiss that day in his jewelry shop and thanked the goddess Hecate that all magicals believed in for bringing him such happiness. He was extremely grateful and would be for eternity.
