Summary (Work in Progress): Standing up someone can give one of two responses. They can change, or they can come for revenge. Amity and her family are up for the second one, after Odalia stood up to the person that made her life a living hell.
It was a calm day for Amity. She was working in the Café her and Luz opened in the Human World, while Luz was in the Demon Realm trying to help correct the damage that Belos caused. She fears for everyone near Luz today, she's an eight month, hormonal, pregnant woman, look at her wrong and she will turn on you. Amity was currently cleaning coffee mugs at the sink, with her back facing the door. She heard the bell above the door ring and put on a smile.
"Hello, welcome to Light & Blight Café, how can I-" Amity turned to see who it was and sneered, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Now, Amity, is that anyway to speak to your grandmother?"
"You lost the right to be called a grandmother." Amity said, "What are you even doing in the Human Realm?"
"Well, to answer both of your questions, I am here to fulfill my promise. The sins of the past have come back to haunt you."
Amity face twisted to anger.
"Get the hell out of my café." She said, though clenched teeth.
"I intend to." She said, walking towards the door, "Watch out, Mittens, your past has come back to haunt you."
She walked out of the Café and Amity looked around. There were no customers, so she walked over to the door and flipped the open sign to closed. She then closed the blinds and locked the door. She walked over to a phone that looked like it was taken straight from the Victorian Age. It was actually something Luz managed to make using Titan's Blood. A phone that can call between dimensions. Only a few of them exist and only people with a connection to Luz and Amity have one. She grabbed the phone and held it to her ear. She started to dial a number. In the Boiling Isles a copy of the phone, only white and gold instead of black and silver, rang. It was picked up and held to the ear of Odalia Blight.
"Hello, Amity, how is my youngest daughter doing?" Odalia asked.
"Bad, actually. I... grandma showed up at the Café." Amity said.
Odalia's smile turned into a serious face.
"I'll be right there." Odalia said.
Odalia hung the phone up.
"Alador, watch the house!" Odalia said.
"Yes, dear!" He said, playing with Emira's two year old daughter.
Later, in the Human Realm, Amity heard a knock on the door. She peaked through the blinds and saw her mom. She unlocked the door and pulled her in.
"Amity, are you alright? Did she hurt you?" Odalia asked.
"I'm fine, she didn't hurt me." Amity said, "But she will. She said she was here to fulfill her promise."
"Over my dead body!" Odalia said, "This is my family she's threatening! I worked too hard to make up for my past mistakes, I will not allow her to ruin the loving family I have finally earned!"
Amity looked at her mom. Twenty years earlier, and Odalia would only do something if it meant protecting the family image. She's changed so much, now she will do anything to protect her family.
