Chapter 115:More Partners and Training
The morning came quickly as everyone woke bright and early to start their day off right as they all gathered in haven cafeteria. While there weren't any cooks still to cook the food ren, adam, raven, dravan and zane opted to cook so it'll be easier for everyone today. As they all had some casually banter as dimaona joined them.
"So whats the plan for today? I guess where just gonna train more"mercruy asked
Perun nodded"we can but we can show you all something to help speed things up. Though we also kinda need to go find those spider guys to help us out"he reminded
"True because after some training and discussing our plan. We could split up to complete certain task throughout the city."rogue added
"Thats because we have something on campus that being a fully operational combat simulator that will really test your abilities and how to handle certain situations. We gotta be prepared for whats coming"bashira continued
"Well i'm starving because seriously with this many mouths to feed its like school back in session"tyra hoked as they waited for their cooks right now.
Though ruby noticed a few things right now mainly being lazuli in a great mood than normal as she seemed to be staring off into space. While may sat near onxyia and velvet leaving on spot open as the girl kept fiddling with her hat.
"Hey lazuli"ruby said her voice getting the thief attention
"Hm….did you say something red?"she asked as her aunt stared at her.
"Uh well for starters sweetie you've staring off into space all morning. Because i'm having fun teasing my kids new women"nadia cooed making the three girl blush glaring at the tiger faunus right now.
Onxyia growled at her as her tail thrashed"if you start teasing us right now today i'll chi blast you into the roof. Then into the stratosphere"she warned as the tiger smirked at them sticking her tongue out.
Lazuli sighed"red i'm perfectly fine right now i just feel well…a bit better today since i got great sleep last night"she said but neo and several others shared a look right now as the mute kept giggling to herself right now which made mercury stare at his teammate
"Yo shorty why are you giggling over here?"he whispered but instead she put a finger up shushing him because she was waiting for the right moment to say it.
"What you sleep good or something last night because i slept great"neptune stated smiling as rogue messed with her wrist for a moment
"Yeah same here i slept fantastic last night!"rogue quickly replied but diamona eyed her for a moment seeing some small bags under her eyes. This made her start to theorize some of these kids aren't sleeping that great right now with their current traumas. But she will press if it gets worse later.
"Well feathers over here is in a very chipper mood for some reason. Man i wonder what it could be"Falk asked
"Oh well…uh it might be something like that"lazuli said
"What? Did you and adam go on a date or something last night after having goo goo eyes on each other the entire trip"bashira jokoignly questioned.
However lazuli didn't answer her right away but simply hummed a tune in her head smiling right now kicking her legs under the table answering their question right now.
"Oh my god you two went on a date!"jaune said happily
"Oh my god about time seriously i thought you'd be single forever kid. Guess no one wins that dumb bet you all made"diamona declared smiling
"Oh i need the details now. How did it go because i'm waiting for him to come back so we can mess with all of them"nora replied pointing to the four person couple as everyone attention was drawn to her now as she hated them all now.
"Well….uh i…it was very fun last night and we both had a good time…until some women came and tired to ruin all of it"lazuli said bitterly at that last part as some knew what happened
"What did the women do exactly my lovestruck niece"nadia cooed with a teasing grin making her blush
"She tried to make the moves on him but he properly shut her down thould he shouldn;t have done it without twisting her wrist. Honestly he should've broke it"lazuli added as two faunus eyed each other on their first date.
"Eh i was hoping grimmy was going to throw that racist employee through the window on our first date. I wish he did"velvet whined in annoyance
"Same here saying i need to go to the pound….god i'm happy he got fired"onxyia supported as her tail wagged at the thought.
"Oh and what else happened that night?"eria questioned eagerly
"After that we well…came back to the dorms in the academy and he hug me which made me feel safe around him"lazuli replied hiding her blush though neo tapped her sister on the shoulder making her stare at for a moment
"Whats up sis?"She asked
Then the mute snapped her finger before shifting into her appearance to their confusion then she pretended to kiss the air for a moment as they slowly pieced it together. But then nadia grinned at her niece before pinching her on the hips.
"How was your first kiss? Nice and sloppy i take it"she asked making the thief squeak before going mad red right now in the face that they were spying on her as she stared at her sister who grinned at her waving to them. As the rest of them bursted into laughter.
"Oh..oh you two kissed?!"neptune asked laughing right now at her
"Are you serious? My god who did it first let me guess it was her"diamona eagerly asked making the thief blush even brighter at that moment answering her previous question as the polar bear shook her on the shoulders.
"This is just cute….i mean if blake was here. Her reaction hearing her ex had found someone else might be fine."onxyia said as yang rolled her eyes
"Hey I just hope kitty takes it alright whenever they arrive to the academy. Besides i'm sure everything will be fine with them."yang added
Though soon enough the others arrived from the back of the kitchen with their food as they set it out for them. It consisted of some pancakes, toast, coffee, juice along with a few omelets in the mix which exicted a few of them. As they began to eat they started to talk now.
"Man i'm happy to finally have something good after being on the road for a few days"zephyra hummed in delight
"Oh i bet seriously this is to die for because we got the best cooks here. Mainly being uncle and ren"rogue hummed in delight but her uncle laughed drinking some coffee as his tail swayed
"Actually sweetie your leader helped make some of the stuff here mainly those omelets"dravan corrected as weiss was in the middle of biting into one as her eyes light up as her tail began to wag around in complete delight
"Oh my god this is so good….my mouth won't stop watering"she admitted in delight as a few other took a bite of the omelets as their own eyes widden because she was right.
"Whoa! Alright i can agree with ice queen when the heck did you learn how to cook. Seriously your even toping rens cooking which is impossible"nora added grabbing seconds as her boyfriend eyes light up from what he was eating actually.
"Agreed. I take it over the last few weeks you learned how to cook"Ren asked
Zane blushed rather embarrassed right now messing with his food just staring at it right now because he didn't really feel that hunger right now.
"Oh um…i…i…um known how to cook for a long time. I…just never really thought to do it to look…girly"he mumbled the last part but they heard it earning some stares from a few of them seeing this weird meek side of him. Because he was the type to joke around like nothing.
"Uhhh how is this girly winchester knows how to cook. Seriously made some mean pancakes back in vacuo"may added still in delight her new bofyriend made this.
"Hey i dabble like I said before since i cooked for my twin sister"cardin replied but this caused alot of them to freeze up upon hearing that. For starters to hear he has a sister but also to hear that hes a twin? As rogue slammed her hands on the table.
"Your a twin too?!"rogue exclaimed
"Why have you never mentioned that before? Because that so cool where is she right now?"Ruby asked eagerly as the former bully chuckled shrugging his shoulder
"Don't know right now last i heard from miss walker here. She was at some guy name junior place last i heard. You said he was in mistral right"cardin asked as the tiger nodded though that jogged some memories
"Wait….we asked him and uncle ambroise to warn the headmaster here about the attack on havan. Did they ever come here, an owl faunus?"onxyia questioned as the havan students thought for a moment as bombay snapped her fingers
"Yeah some guy like that did come here but the headmaster didn't believe him pushing him away. Though well maybe he still with that junior guy you mentioned"bombay suggested as they continued to eat for a moment as perun groaned from his sore back
"Man that alpha uras messed my back up pretty good right now"he stated cracking his back before a loud crack could be heard
"I've dealt with it before when we first met piper. "Eria commenting peeking a few interest on that topic realziing something
"Waitttt….do you think bounty hunters are trying to claim the bounty on her head?"jaune asked a little worried right now for her as others were but they decided to releve them of that stress.
"Nah shes fine no one on the island is attacking her since their used to her presnance. Though few people well….did throw a few awful slurs toward her from what mari told me"nadia replied with a growl slightly
"Oh thank god i was very worried for her. She only eight years old and had to deal with something like that"Weiss said but a few eyed each other as neo and onxyia glanced at cardin for a moment because of what his sister almost did.
"Yes although i take it on the island that her aunt is doing her best to take care of her"Ren added but they actually had goods new on that girl family
"Actually her sister is alive and they got reunited recently."cardin announced catching those offguard who didn't know that as they stood their in complete shock for a moment before some felt happy for the girl
"Thats great to hear! I'm pretty sure that put a smile on her face right now"ruby cheered
Eria chuckled"father mentioned it to us back in argus actually i'm sure she was crying her eyes out but was overjoyed"she said as some nodded at that
"You mean how she wouldn't stop clinging to her all over the place. Though despite her little appearance she is a little adorable."may added as jaune was curious on how that girl sister was even alive
"Wait….how did you find her alive? Didn't you guys mentioned during the expedition that miyuki said she was declared dead or something?"he asked
"No actually back in the vale base hassan was holding her hostage with some others. They used them as bargaining chips thinking that well the base had grimmys body. Though right when he got to her apparently he decided to hand himself over"velvet answered peeking some interest as they look toward zane who was just drinking coffee
"Wait you saved her sister? How the heck did that happen?"neptune asked as he looked down rubbing his eyes.
"Hassan demanded i hand myself over or he'd execute several hostage she was the last one. Poor girl deserved to have another family member back. Because next time i see watts…"he said before he undid his hidden blade jamming it on the table.
"I'm going to break his dam legs along with tearing his kids metal arms off"he declared creeping them out a little as someone from behind bonked him on the head speaking up.
"Oi kid seriously your going into one of your moods right now. Don't be so creepy seriously you got a grudge with the psycho. But don't act this infront of your friends lad"paddy spoke up startling him as he glanced at him jumping flinching as he started to panic a little
"I..i…what the hell are you two doing here!? Great….just great a dam hit squad….fantastic. I…i they don't know anything alright…i didn't break protocol 46,47. 87,98.103"he said rattling off a few other numbers which worried his mother seeing him acting like this because he looked terrfied
"Hey you good over here because uh still surprised you know two military guys or was one"neptune added studpily not helping his nerves right now as he started to take small rapid breaths but beidou placed her hands on his shoulders
"Kid you need to remember your dumb exericse carmine gave you alright. Take a deep breath in and out, count to five got it"she advised as he slowly took a deep breath to compose himslef as he slowly exhaled
"Okay good do it again, then listen to some music or whatever to calm your nerves"she advised as he did it a few more times but once he was finished he felt embarrassed throwing his hood up groaning laying his head down. As may hesiantly rubbed his head to console him.
"Alright that was intersting to see right now not akward at all"tyra admitted drinking some milk as the two sat down with them
"Aye don't be alos lad where here to watch over the hine heiress over here. Don;t worry cho gave a few of us the rundown a few of your friends know. We told them last night to not let this slip or else"he threatened actually as they all understood though nadia shot the two a slight glare for a moment
"Oh let me guess all of your little soilder buddies might come here to capture my kid"nadia asked with a growl as beidou chuckled
"Uh no we only have a select few of us told about this. But god from what i'm imagining that guy is fighting the urge to tell his little girl her surgannt uncle is alive. "She stated
Qrow drank some coffee setting his cup down for a moment"let me guess you two are here to assit us in solving our litttle cell problem?"he asked as they nodded as they continued to eat their breakfast for the day.
After they ate bashira, bombay and perun along with the other havan students gudied them toward another place within their academy that would help them alot on the fight ahead of them. They reached the doors as perun opened them revealing what was inside and what they found inside was a large open space that was bigger than glynda combat clas back at beacon and it sill would have way more room.
"What is this place? Its so big"cardin asked taking in the view of the palace
"I know seriously this place is bigger tha glynda place back in beacon"neo sighed as her sister translated
Nadia shrugged her shoulder"meh i've seen better training places than this. Tore a few up in my free time too if you know what i mean"she joked
"Well its our combat simulation room. Normally only the student that are seconds years and up can use this but without any other students here we can use it freely"perun commented
"This is impressive this was like the one we had back in beacon. But this one is more grand on this scale"weiss commented though soon enough someone called out to them
"Well i did assume you all would be here later today so I asked our new operator for the training area to come by. Since she may know one of you"mei commented as a familiar scent came to one of them mainly being velvet who ears twithced
"Wait a minute that scent it can't be…"she was stopped before the sound of footsteps could be heard as the rabbit head was shoved into someone bust along with a screech being heard
"Ahhh! My little girl what are you going here right now? I thought you were back in shade continuing your studies?"meg asked eagerly as the rabbit blushed slightly from her
"mom!"velvet shouted but hugged her mother back happy to see her though that would mean the rabbit might get to have her mother meet her boyfriend and girlfriend. This surprised the group to see her now.
"Wait shes your mom?"nora asked intrigued
"Ah yes that would be will wife. Hello miss scarlitina your livly as every i see"eria greeted making meg let her daughter go with a very shocked and surprised look but then glared at a certain sister
"Its nice to see you but…"She stopped as she grabbed rogue by the ear hard
"Ow! Ow! What the heck lady?!"she shouted in annoyance but she tugged on it.
"Don't lady me girl. Your parents are worried sick your father might not be in vacuo anymore. But hes been very worried about you after i don't know you leaving for a murder quest!
She shouted in disappointmnet for the girl right now
"Ohhh yeah that…well we can explain to you why these two are here. "Cardin stated as she let the girl ear go though velvet nerouvsly tapped her fingers together glancing at her several partners now swallowing hard.
"So um mom i'd like for you to meet someone right now"velvet said before slowly pushing the wolf forward as onxyia tense up offering a shaky hand to the rabbit.
'H-hello miss….i..um i'm dating your daughter its nice to meet you. I'm onxyoa b-blair"onxyia introudced with a shaky voice making adam internally chuckle as the women had a warm smile on her face hugging the wolf to some surprise
"Well its nice to meet you dear. Though i take it your dealing with the guilt of well you two little boyfriend alright"meg consoled but they all stared at him as zane groaned stepping forward as meg glanced at him startled actually jumping back physically by the sight of him as it was very awkward as nadia stepped forward offering a hand
"I'm sure you qutie shocked right now miss scarltina but i..'"nadia was stopped as the women then hugged him as he looked very confused right now staring at velvet who looked surprised herself
"Why are you hugging my cousin what you gonna ask to be his fourth girlfriend like zedhong here"lazuli said making may stare at her as meg separated from him before blinking as her ears flopped over.
"Sweetie…your boyfriend is alive….but your now dating that zedhong girl."meg said before messing with her daughter near her ears.
"Ohhh i'm going to have fun messing with you later when i get the chance. "She cooed as it seems nadia has a partner in teasing crimes. As velvet blushed embrased now.
"Mom please stop it seriously we all agreed to it"velvet whined but her mother stopped as she turned to face him.
"Well its nice to meet the young man dating my daughter….are you a pig since you have three girlfriend"she bleuntkly said surprising them
"Thats a quick 180 in attitude right now"ame commented as velvet glared at her mom but he decided to deesclate this right now.
"I um…miss if you think i'm after her body your greatly mistaken. May just joined in on this little wagoon and well i've already done something to make up for what i did to bun. If you want you can uh…punch me in the face"he offered surprising the women glancing at him before noticing the very dark bags under his eyes as she sighed crossing her arms
"Well i won't do that but what do i owe all of you the pleasure of visiting today?"meg asked as they had bad news right now for her.
"We got word of havan academy being targeted by the white fnag and several others. We need all the training we can get right now. Will you help um…mom"velvet begged with the bunny eyes but she didn't need to do that
"Why of course i'm not the best at offering training since its been so long. But I do know how to operate the console to control the training simulation"meg replied though as they were beginning to start it soon someone else called out
"Yo hold up here you lot think i wasn't going to miss out on this. Because i wanna help my dear old nephew with his little semblance"mars said walking in to their surprise right now as meg titled her head
"Nephew who are you talking about? Your trespassing on school ground whoever you are"meg replied
Mars chuckled snapping his fingers as he activated his semblnaces as the maroon organic material covered his bodie. But like his other form he had a spartan helmet their with the glowing blue eyes. Though above on his forearms on each arm two slots emerged then shooting out from them was a set of very sharp blades as he grinded them together creating sparks
"Take a wild hint"he replied as her ears dropped at seeing a very similar semblance to her daughter boyfriend. Though soon enough oscar whispered something to qrow who nodded stepping forward
"Well if you wanna help what about your nephew or whatever being an archangel. You know anything about that?"qrow asked confusing some but mars went wide eyed molting his armor off as his jaw dropped before closing it shut staring at his nephew laughing a little.
"No way! Well guess mom did have a reason to be happy for sis having her first kid! Your just like your grandma kid"mars declared to their shock his grandmother can turn into a giant grimm monster
"Wait…his grandma can turn into a giant grimm?!"nora asked excited as they soon decided to test it recently since he can loose his lifespan. But they might as well see it in action as he stepped onto the training field. As meg got behind the console as they all watched for a bit.
"Alright so we can start off with some holograms although we do have well a few live targets in storage"mei stated twisting a knob as from the floor some panels slowly opened about four in total as emerging from them where cages. As two of them contained beowulf while another contained a reaper grimm slashing at its metal bars while another contained an alpha uras that roared inside its cage. Shocking the teens
"You just have live grimm causally in your academy?!"weiss asked shocked
"Oh only a few though we should get rid of them though um ready when you are dear"meg said as zane stood their for a moment exhaling as his eyes changed red. Then his body started to crack as they watched in disgust as meg looked in fear right now as mars watched intently.
Soon enough their stood a grimm like creature as they expected it to attack but instead nothing as it scratched it head with its hind leg like a that it was time meg twisted the knob releasing the cages as the four grimm stared at its prey before them. To some surprise the two beowulf rushed forward jumping ontop of it slashing and clawing at it like it was against them. But the creature picked one up squeezing it in its hand killing it. Then it tail whipped around stabbing the other on in the head killing it. To some surpirse
"Okay weird to see grimm attacking another grimm….guess he is on our side"thisite commented
"You said it because this is cool….though guess you three have an excuse to walk him on a leash now"yang teased making the wolf glare at her slightly
"Okay miss i love to cuddle with blake everyday i'm sure. You love it when she purrs ontop of you i bet"she teased making the blonde look away as adam glanced to the side because he found that funny. Though mars watched itnently right now in complete shock
As the reaper screeched slashing at the creature skin making it roar slightly but then it snatched it up by the arm snapping it clean off as it cried in pain. But he poucned atop of it as he stomped its body into the ground killing it as it turned to dust. Then the apha uras roared swiping trying to knock its prey down. But it looked at the creature unphased by this as it opened it jaw before chomping down on the grimm. Then it started to squeeze as it shut its maw shut then swallowed the grimm to their disgust.
Rogue gagged"oh my god he ate a grimm….ewwwww. But that was also cool"she stated
"Ughh i am not kissing him for a week now. You two can if you want"may offered as the creature prowled toward the side on all fours sitting like a dog as it titled it heads at them. Curiously they approached as velvet was curious as she walked over scaring her mother a little.
"Velvet sweetie maybe you should step back just incase"she voiced her worries
"It'll be fine mom….besides"she said before placing her hand underneath its chin beginning to scratch it in a cirucalr motion as the grimm went wide eyed before it let out a low growl as it tail began to wag around in bliss. They were shocked to see a grimm getting scritches from someone
"Oh my god a grimm is getting scratches from someone. Our lives are weird"zephyra whined as onxyia walked over doing it do as the creature whined laying down with its head on the ground as mars chuckled crossing his arms in shock.
"Well i'll be damned you do have the family other gift. This is just amazing to see right now….though weird look for ya. Ma's was like a giant bird or whatever"mars commented as soon eria stepped forward huffing in confidence
"Well this sure will do some damage against those grimm knights i'm sure. But the clown is an idiot if he doesn't do this without our permission"eria codly stated but then something sticky was rubbed up against her that being a big wet tongue. She slowly turned to face the creature as it gagged several times at her as some of them laughed. But her eyes twitched in anger
"You dam clown! Your going to get it for licking me like some dam popsicle! I'm turning you into a clownsicle!"eria threatened as it soon molted into goo before meg took reigns of the simulation now with her scroll
"Okay now thats done we can see how difficult the course will be but be warned miss mei will not go easy on anyone. Shes a hard teacher"meg warned as she activated the simulation as she stepped forward
"Who would like to go first?"she questioned as yang stepped forward
"I'll give it a shot"she said in confidence
"Very well then"mei added as meg made adjustments she wanted as multiple objects appeared ahead of her and at the end was a pole which signified the goal.
"Objective is simply your to reach the goal while also dodging obstacles in front of you. No semblnaces allowed you may begin when ready"mei stated
Almost immediately yang bursted forward running toward her objective. Just then turret popped up as they started blasting at her. Leaping upward to avoid them before firing her own shots at the turrets destorying them in the process before rushing straight ahead
Next came three pairs of swigning blades that tried to get in yang way but they were moving to fast as yang was just as quick as she moved through the first and second pair but the third gave her some trouble but she slipped past it.
"Keep going yang! You're almost their!"ruby cheered as so did the others
Yang had blown past the other obstacles but she was getting a little tired but still kept going. Mei had other plans in mind as behind her back she had her own scroll adjusting the difcciulty of the course. Yang came up to the final obstacle which was a large curved walled in which she had a running start
Taking a deep breath preparing for the final obstacle. She readied herself then charged up the curved wall chargining upward as she reached the edge so she would be able to clim it but then just suddenly the edge curved inward cuaisng her to miss it which made her come crashing down on the sloped wall landing face first. Aura or not that had to hurt as she clutched it in pain. Raven went over to check on her daughter kneeling down to her.
"How bad is it?"raven asked as she had yang carefully remove her hands from her nose revealing the damage seeing it was bleeding.
"Yep that broken. Lets get you over to jaune and he can patch you up"raven said as yang got up and walked over where jauen was as he immediately started to use his semblance to heal her nose.
"Well that was rather unfortunate. Would anyone like a go?"mei asked but raven kept a close eye on her.
Everyone else took their turns and much to raven thought she started to notice a pattern with each and everyone one of them. When onxyia took her turn she passed it with minor diffucites but when ren was up he faced several obstacles with many difficulties even neo had trouble getting through. The same went for weiss who easily made it through but jaune struggled as well getting the wind knocked out of him. But zane went up getting some stamina but as he neared the edge the wall disappeared but then launched him into a wall hard as he fell down to the ground hard.
Nadia rushed over as he was the last one to go but nearly half their group was tired from the experience as others were just getting into it. Though nadia hoisted her son up.
"You doing okay?"she asked as he planted his right leg down but winced in pain as some saw his knee looking rather awkward right now
"Ohhhh that does not look pleasant at all"neptune said shivering at it because he dislocated it. But paddy walked over placing his hands on his knee and without warning snapped it back into place expecting him to scream but nothing happened
"Why aren't you screaming right now?"ame questioend disgusted as he had a small limp
"Pain receptors got turned off can't feel a thing their right now. Useful but it also sucks"he answered as jaune got to work helping his leg.
"Whell that wasn't too bad for some of you. But the rest of you could use some work on your coordination"mei harshly said to the ones who bareilly passed
That was when raven had enough"alright thats it. Why don't you just drop the act. You're not fooling anyone here mei"raven said. The women looked stunned by that with a rather stoic look.
"Is their a problem you wish to discuss with me?"she asked
"Actually a few in particular. Care to explain why your favoring certain members in our group. Along with that it seems you have a grudge with walkers kid. Don't think i didn't notice"raven said but she reaminded stoic
"What do you mean by that?"she asked
"What she is implying is that your favoring our faunus members over the others. And you seem to have a grudge against him for being normal compared to your late wife"oscar said in his ozpin voice. However mei remained almost nonexpressive like she didn't bother to answer but did with a huff
"And what if i am? I am allowed to push the boundaries of someone limits even if they were to injurie themsleves. My class is made to push boundaries of limits and beyond them. Not my fault some of them can;t be up the task. Sorry some monster can't keep up….my wife could have been saved. Rather trade her life for some dumb brat"she replied harshly earning a few glares
"Don't give me that crap! You got an unbias opinion or something?! Because your an instructor sorry your wife wasn;t saved in time! Your an instructor not some drill sergeant"nadia grwoeld
Mei simply huffed"well that was at your academy but here its different. If they can't mee my standards then they can't be successful"mei said harshly walking away from the group as others glared at her
"Whats her problem?"mercury asked
Ame rubbed her neck"i think she rather hurt from her wife being gone…and shes always favored faunus in our classes alot"she stated
"Well isn't she a batch of sunshine and rainbow right now. Jerk"may stated
"Eh give her some slack she really loved her back in the day. Though you gonna do okay kid?"qrow asked as the grimm hybrid gave a thumps up
"Good because lets talk with good old ozpin to discuss his plan"mars added as their group were leaving the training field but meg stopped her daughter
"Sweetie can we please talk for a moment privately"meg said
"Oh um…of course we won't be long see you their later. Hope your doing better grimmy"velvet said as they left the two rabbits as meg had a rather concern look on her face as she guided her daughter away.
Velvet followed her mother out of the traing field to the main lobby of the academy.
"Mom? Isn't their far enough?"velvet question
"Not yet. In here please"meg replied pointing toward a door to a classroom. They entered the classroom where it was empty and once they were inside meg locked the door behind them in which velvet noticed
"Um….mom what are you doing?"velvet asked
"First off i want to say i'm happy to see you again dear. That you also seem in better spirit and i'm um happy to hear you have someone else you love"she said completely honest which surprised velvet first
"Well i…thank you mom I am very happy right now with everything that happened as of late. Its nice that my girlfriend is okay along with my boyfriend. Weird having another one but…i do kinda like her"velvet replied
"Thats nice to hear. However the company your traveling with worries me"meg added concerned
"Pardon? Everyone is okay. They're all ver nice, kind and…"velvet started but meg interrupted her
"Dear i mean some of the company uou have with you. Mainly being criminals and well….your boyfriend"meg replied which got velvet attention making her glare at her mother
"And whats the matter with that? You don't even know some of them cardin was a jerk and he's learn his mistakes. And for starters i love zane alot, are you scared he might attack you. Don't worrie those mental suggestions are gone. He safe"velvet added in defense
"Safe? Sweetie i know you are in love. But i'm worried about you because what happens if hes tricking you. I'm…i'm worried about him attacking you in that creepy grimm looking appearance of his. And your traveling with a wanted terrorist along with miltary soilders. Some of them might be having an act toward faunus to be nice"meg state firmly seeming from experience
"They are not like that! They're my friend and no way they'll use me like some puppet. They respect me for who i am and i have respect toward them. And I love the people i'm in a relationship with. You've just met all of them"velvet argued
Meg huffed slightly'i'm just trying to keep you safe sweetie. I know you were devastated at your loss of love. But they all might not be so innocent i don't want to lose you."meg added
"I appreciate that but i can defend myself just fine. "Velvet replied before beginning to walk away from her mother
"If you'll excuse me mother i have to meet up with them to go over a plan to defend havan academy"Velvet replied as she walked away from her mother. Meg only looked at her daughter no sure to be proud or annoyed she was being rebellious. Velvet when up to where the others were meeting in the upper lounge as they gathered
"Ah velvet. Good of you to join us. Did everything go well with your mother?"ozpin spoke
She only sighed as her ears drooped a little"Sort of. My mom is being a worry wort like usually on who i associate myself with. Says my boyfriend will hurt me….which i find very hard to believe"velvet replied turning to him and yang as yang had a bandaged on her nose now.
"Hows your nose yang, and hows your leg grimmy?"velvet asked
"Just a little sore but hey i can manage'yang answered
"Eh i'm fine not as bad as breaking several ribs, shattering my entire shoulder, punctured lung….dislocating my joints. Getting shot a bunch….stabbed….gutted….punch in the family jewels"zane said rattling off a few of his injuries hes gotten
"Nothing to be proud of in my opinion….getting stabbed sucks"neptune stated
'So ozpin what is this plan you got for us?"eria asked
"Right. Thankfully the headmaster has been able to provide us a map of the academy. Along with those battle plans and dossiers we have."ozpin said stating to the maps and dosisers in front of all of them.
"Right now this is the general area of the academy. No doubt the white fang will enter from the main entrance using the steps to gain access. If we can block access to the entrance it should slow them down"ozpin started
"Why should we do that?"mercury questioned
Adam then pointed to two objects on the map"those are the CCT towers. There first thing is to knock out any communications so that no calls can be made to call for backup or the security around mistral. They'll go for those first i'm sure of it"adam said
"Then we just lock up the towers. That way they can't get into them"bombay said
"They don't plan on getting inside them. They want to destory the towers just like beacons. I bet they have dust charges to do just that"adam added
"Dust charges? What are those exactly?"ruby asked
"Highly combustible material when you combine standard C4 charges with highly combustible dust that makes it look like a simple firecracker. Even homemade bombs work with it with a blast radious that could cover a large area of effect. Things got a hair trigger for its wires when defusing them"Zane expertly explained
"Yeah. very explosive and highly destrcutive in simply terms"beidou replied
"But what about the relic we still need to get it. How do we do that?"jaune asked
"Leave it to me i can handle it"raven stated
"Okay what about the spiders and these cells should we work on getting rid of them right now. Maybe meet with aunties contacts"lazuli asked
"She right we got about five in total to deal with that are small. From what we gathered their stocking up on weapons before they arrive. We cripple them before they get here"tyra added
"Good because after were done talking i'll head to the forge to make a few traps. If they start storming we can plant tripwires or something to slow them down"zane offered
"And i could go to the CCT tower to make a call to vacuo."may suggested wich confused them
"Why would you go and do that?"cardin questioned as the sniper messed with her beanie
"Well the despardos could help us and the signal should be strong enough for me to get in contact with nolan. He could warn them and gather some of the people we know their to get help. "May delcared
"That not a terrible idea. Alright lets make sure we go over everything. We cannot leave anything out"ozpin replied as they all began to go over a battle plan all the while outside the room meg was listening not sure what to take on what their doing.
Many miles away from the capital the white fang has set up camp for the night as they were getting ever so closer to their goal of the academy. Ollie was in his tent as he savored every little bit of bringing down a second academy which will once again spread fear and panic throughout the continent knowing that there once proud academy has fallen to the might of the white fang.
"Brother ollie"corsac said behind him
"Yes. what is it?"he asked
"I have estimated our time of arrival at the academy will be approximately a day and a hald. We've also received word from our other sources that headmaster lionheart is ware of us and will be assisting us when we arrive."corsac said
"Good. with someone on the inisde it'll make things a lot easier to deal with"ollie replied
"I'll take my leave then"corsac said as he turned to leave
"Brother corsac….a moment please"ollie replied making him stop a moment
"Yes"he turned to face him
"I'm sorry about your brother fennac. His death was a noble one for our cause and he'll be remembered as such. Never forget the ones that took him away from you. Once we arrive at the academy we will land a definitive blow to the human race and any other faunus that betrays us. They will see what we are the superior ons and learn to respect us or die"ollie replied
"Thank you for your kind words brother ollie"corsac said giving a bow to him before leaving his tent
Just outside was sienna spy once again writing a message so that her birds wuld be able to deliver them. However just as she was about to finish writing a large shadow loomed over her
"And just what do you think your doing?"hazal asked the komindao dragon faunus.
Before she could react hazel grabbed her with one hand and hoisted her up with nothing but his strength alone and began walking toward ollie tent just when corsac was leaving it
"What is the meaning of this hazel?!"corsac shotued
Hazel dropped her to corsacs feet"you have a spy in your mist"he simply stated. Ollie cam out of the tent at the scene in front of him.
"What sthe about a spy?"he asked angrily before looking at the women in front of her
"Emily? You're the spy? Why?"olli questioned
"Because what your doing is wrong. You know it. We don't need any more bloodshed. The faunus legacy is nothing but bloodshed and the huamnns will never respct us if we contninue to kill. I won't be apart of something after you kill my baby sister!"emily shouted
"Then i have no further use for you. Feed her to your pet kiyo"ollie replied as just beofre kiyo could grab her emily dropped a small sphere in front of them which they all figured out what is was.
"Shit! Cover your-"it was too late as the sphere shined bright throughout the area blidning them which gave her the perfect chance to escape as she ran off into a blur as all that was left was her torn clothing. The light vanished from them as they saw emily had disappeared
'"Search everywhere! We cannot let her–"corsac started but ollie stopped him
"No. we cannot waste our energy for something like this. Let get go there is little that she can do"ollie replied before returning to his tent.
Emily ran as fast as she could on all four legs with her ravens flying by her side. Thankfully her semblnaces let her transform into any animal but she needs to warn havan before the white fang arrive persoanlly. She hopes to hold out till then.
Seems that jae sister was found out as sienna spy and she has to race to havan to warn the others now. While it also seems that they have a plan now to defend havan and its relic. Thanks for reading!
