Luz walked down to the basement of Blight Manor where she found Odalia and Alador.
"Mr. and Mrs. Blight, I've come to appeal to your hearts." Luz said.
Odalia took a sip of her tea.
"Very interesting, dear, but let's cut to the chase." Odalia said, turning to face Luz, "We have a big presentation tonight to show off our newest projects."
"Like, abominations?" Luz asked.
"Something like that." Odalia said, "You see, we're having a hard time with our newest invention-"
"I'll help, if you allow my friends back into Hexside." Luz said.
"Well, when you put it like that, how can I refuse?" Odalia asked, before an abomination showed up with a fresh tea pot, "But first, you must be thirsty. Why don't you join me for a cup of tea?"
Luz, not wanting to be rude, agreed. Odalia handed her a cup and Luz started to drink from it.
"What kind of tea is this?" Luz asked, stumbling a bit, "I feel... tired."
Luz fell and Odalia smiled. The last thing Luz heard was Odalia's voice.
"I'm so glad you wanted to help." Odalia said, "Alador, our guest is ready for her... procedure."
Alador picked up Luz and carried her to a table. To the side, was a tray of tools and some kind of heart shaped object that looked like it was made from Abominations. Alador put on gloves and a mask, knowing that this will be messy. Later, at Blight Industries, Amity walked up to her parents.
"Mom, I am going to say this once, let my friends back into Hexside." Amity said.
"Oh, don't worry about that, Mittens." Odalia said, "We already made a deal with that little Human you know. She agreed to help with a small invention that your dad was working on. In return we'll allow them back into Hexside."
"What kind of invention?" Amity asked, not trusting her parents.
"A synthetic heart for the Healing Coven. If everything goes well, then the Healing Coven will start placing orders." Odalia said, handing her cards, "Just read the lines and try and sell."
Before Amity could ask more questions, Odalia practically shoved her onto the stage. Amity growled, but just decided to work with it if Luz already solved the problem. Amity looked at the cards.
"Welcome to Blight Industries. We're proud to announce that Blight Industries has successfully made first synthetic heart." Amity said, "We're honored that the Healing Coven has asked us to perform this task, now, please welcome Patient Zero."
A trap door opened, and Amity looked in horror as she saw who it was.
"Luz?!"
