And I'm back with a mystery theme.
Summary (Work in Progress): Luz has spent seven years working on one of the biggest mysteries of the world, what happened to the world's greatest superhero? Luz knows she's getting close; little does she know that she's about to get involved in a world she isn't prepared for.
1995:
A girl fell out of the sky and rolled on the concrete below. She put her hand on the ground and started to lift herself up. She coughed up blood as she did. Her suit was ripped, and her body was bruised.
"What's the matter, Owl Lady? Getting tired?"
The Owl Lady got onto a knee and looked at Titan. She held her hand out and summoned her staff. She's the greatest superhero in the world, if she fails, then humanity falls.
"Please, I'm just warming up." The Owl Lady said.
She swung her staff at the taller man. He dodged it and put his arm up to block another strike. He fell backwards on his back and kicked up with a powerful kick to the Owl Lady. It knocked her down and knocked the staff out of her hand. He walked up to her and grabbed her by the neck, easily pulling her up above the ground, making her gasp for air. He reached up and pulled the Owl Lady's mask off.
"Wow, the Owl Lady, the greatest hero in the world, is nothing more than a twenty-one-year-old girl." Titan said, "Almost seems wrong to kill you."
The Owl Lady gasped for air as the hand around her throat tightened his grip. She knew there was only one thing she could do to prevent him from taking over the world. She put her hands up and used her powers to open a portal to a waste land filled with cannibalistic demons, known only as, the Demon Realm. Titan noticed this and dropped her. He got on top of her and aimed a knife about him. He was about to plunge it through her heart, but the portal sucked him in.
"I promise you, Owl Lady! I will return and get my revenge!" He said, before the portal closed with him on the other side.
She pulled herself back up, when the portal finished closing, it resulted in a powerful explosion, making the old run-down building collapse.
2020:
A 14-year-old girl in her room was looking at her large bulletin board. Several notes and newspapers articles all tacked on with red strings all around. In the middle of the board, the stings connected to a single post it note, with a single question mark on it. On the top was the note that said, "The Owl Lady". Her body was never even found during the cleanup, they only found her staff, which led to the next post, of it being stolen from a museum around the turn of the millennium.
"Luz, maybe it's time to accept that she's gone." Willow said.
"No, I refuse to believe it." Luz said, "I spent half my life trying to find out the world's greatest mystery, I'm getting close... I can feel it."
