Chapter 2 Agony of Marauder of the Past
Septimus Weasley's POV
Septimus Weasley is the celebrated veteran auror of first wizarding war working along with his Gryffindor mates charlus potter and harfang longbottam in the heights of Gellert Grindelwald's reign of terror. Septimus Weasley and his mates were like brothers, they shared dorms at Hogwarts, continuously created mayhem at the Hogwarts, shared their common hatred for Dumbledore's neutral ways of handling things at hogwarts, punishing the bullies in their own way through pranking earning in the alias of marauders, marrying into the house of black, winning order of merlin 3rd order for participating in war for destroying the Grindelwald's critical plans, Opposing to the Dumbledore's profound raise of political power after his victory over grindelwald, fighting against the ridiculous laws proposed by Dumbledore in the wizemgamot.
Dumbledore all in the name of providing the fair chance to muggleborns sanctioned the law to cancel license of all pre-hogwarts magical educational institutes and tutors, cancelled the pre-hogwarts ball where all wizarding kids attending Hogwarts will socialize and befriend their future mates. Dumbledore even promoted the law applied to wizard not to perform the magic outside the hogwarts until he 17 years old proposed by the blood supremist group a law, a law clearly meant for the stunting the growth of the muggleborns and put the name to it as Underage wizardry.
To say, the marauders got defeated by the Dumbledore in the end is the shame. Septimus, Charlus and Harfang made a magical alliance, a powerful magical ritual to prolong their friendship and alliance for the next generations by re-doing the ritual each generation. But the fate had different plans for them there is a significant difference in ages among their children and they drifted apart without any common ground. To the growing horror of marauders all the next generation heirs of wizarding families including their children are hero worshipping the Dumbledore, clever fox who remained in his position of the hogwarts refusing many offers of being the minister of magic.
All sudden there is another dark lord in the country hailed as Greatest wizard of all the time by the blood supremist group of wizarding kind banded together as Death eaters. The wizarding kind are trembling to speak the name of this wizard referred as 'Dark lord,' 'You-Know-Who,' Lord Voldemort witnessing the evil acts committed by this group of wizards and witches. The common belief is death eaters are the group of Slytherins pushing their beliefs of pureblood wizard supremacy, but septimus knows better this group contains all the house members of hogwarts. Nobody knows the origin of this Lord Voldemort and yet the ministry of magic collapsed under their surprise sneaky clever attacks as half of the ministry is under the imperious curse of this wizard doing his bidding. Only wizard who know anything remotely regarding the Lord Voldemort is Albus Dumbledore, how? Nobody knows about that either. Albus Dumbledore formed his own band of wizards, The Order of Phoenix to fight against death eaters. Septimus voiced his views to his sons about not joining and not get involved in anything remotely involving the Dumbledore and his Order of Phoenix. As far as Septimus knew that his sons Bilius, Arthur and Charles did not join the order of the phoenix, but offspring of his mates had joined the order much to the displeasure of the marauders.
Lord Voldemort is a clever and cunning person knowing the threat to his cause learning from the history is, he stroke at the Marauders making Septimus and Charlus beyond furious when they found there is a attack on the Longbottom's family and their best mate along with his family were murdered and with the dark mark in the sky. Charlus Potter and Septimus Weasley came out of the retirement to whip the useless auror recruits into shape and hunted down all the culprits involved in the harfangs murder. No mercy is shown to the suspects as they killed the Sr. Malfoy, Sr. Nott, Sr. Lestrange, Sr. Rookwood in the off the book mission scaring the newcomer aurors who pissed in their pants seeing the brutality of the two of them.
Charlus and Septimus once again took the control of the ministry once from the Lord Voldemort and started raiding continuously day and night. Charlus was made the head of the Auror department increasing the defenses of the country putting a break to the plans of the Lord Voldemort to halt. Charlus potter confided to the Septimus that according to his son James Potter there is a prophecy given to the Dumbledore regarding his un-born grandson being vanquisher of Lord Voldemort. But the newfound peace is short lived as the safe house of the Charlus potter is comprised and there is an attack on his family, only James's potter, his muggle born wife and his son alive.
Septimus is the only Marauder left alive to retell his tales to his grandchildren one day, sorrow gripping his heart about his useless ness to keep his mates alive. Septimus left the aurors shortly after the death of Charlus Potter and went into hiding to protect his family. Septimus is currently in the safe house waiting for the birth of sixth grandchild as his daughter-in-law Molly Prewet nee Weasley wife of Arthur Weasley went into Labor. Arthur is pacing around the corridor nervously as Medi-which is working inside the room. The only leftover joy in the septimus life is watching over Arthur's children grow up as his other children did not get married yet. His thoughts were interrupted by voice of his wife scolding their pacing son.
"Stop Pacing around Arty like an idiot" Cedrella scolded her son "William, Charlie hold these little devils apart from each other" cedrella commanded her grandsons bonking on the heads of the twins who are trying to create the mischief.
"Molly is in Labor Mum" Arthur retorted back to his mother.
"This is not her first time" Cedrella said coldly making Septimus wince as he knows his Slytherin wife better "Stop being a bad example to your children" cedrella retorted back.
"Yes Mum" Arthur replied making twins snicker.
"Why you married that single track mind witch is beyond me Arthur" Cedrella said coldly and turned to the Muriel Prewett "Does all the Prewett's foolish like her?" making Muriel to frown.
"Mum" Arthur shouted red in face.
"You do know the answer to that question" Muriel answered scowling at cedrella "It is like Time is giving up on old families with the heirs we are granted." Muriel said gesturing to Arthur making all the children frown. "Behaving like a bumbling buffoon tinkering the muggle waste" Arthur become red in face.
"Control your anger Arty as it is your fault for not getting the respected Job and following your heart" Cedrella said frowned at Arthur and turned to Muriel with a smirk "My son is still better than your Prewett twin idiots blowing up as pawns in the hands of Dumbledore" Cedrella said.
"Cedrella, Muriel" Septimus Warned sensing the fight is building up "Not in front of the children."
