Chapter:Set up
At havan academy right now they were going over their plans on how to properly defend the school while the others have returned clearing out a few of the cells in the area. Along with meeting with the spider gang. As a few of them where here as they were preparing for a large army to arrive.
While raven was issuing orders with a few others after meeting with some sort of familiar faces.
"We have to take every vantage point we can use. Be ready for anything they can throw at us. Also rember they'll do whatever it takes to kill you so don't hold back or they will kill you"Adam stated
"Kids right these grunts and psychos are trained killer…we are too but your lucky were on your side"barney added
"Though out best vantage point right now would be here and here"raven said pointing out two spots on the academy
"Those rooftops would be our best bet. We got our best sharpshooters here to hold that area. Rubes, sniper couple you three got it'qrow asked
"Yep that sounds good to me"ruby agreed
"No complaints here….screw you for that nickname"may added
"I can cover any range, i'm fine with it"onxyia added
"Good. then we need our front fighters. Yang, rogue, nora, cardin, nadia. We'll need you five in the front lines defending them. Nora can attack from a distance while the rest of you hold them back."raven added
Barney nodded"i got a few guys with muscle to support you as well measuring in about eight. Having a few of the boys lay out those tripwire and snare traps your new kid and that shorty over here made"he added
Asani tapped her fingers"w-well they have hair trigger so be careful when setting them up. Their loaded with knockout gas and a few have ice dust charges to slow them down"she reminded
"But they still need backup i'll assit them their….might as well see ollie before we start things"Adam volunteered
"Then what about the rest of us we just sit around and wait for them to come inside?"neptune questioned
"Percisly thats the main reason i want the rest of you defending the inner perimeter. They can't get to the towers no matter what"raven stressed though someone had a question
"Wait…why am i not in the frontline exactly? Because i can just go all grimm on them and deal with a large number of their forces. "Zane argued which made raven eye him down for a moment
"Their is no time to argue about this you follow orders. Besides once they do get inside you'll be needed to slow them down. But don't forget you each have syringes to help you stun them from what we gathered their will possible be two or even more of those grimm knights"raven added
"And lastly sis over here, me along with oscar, benkei and tyra over here will go nab the relic from the academy"qrow said
"Um wouldn't we need the artifact to do that?"tyra asked
"Lionheart probably already has it just ask him for it. Before the fang gets here we can just get it now if we want to"bombay suggested
"As much as i would like to. I don't trust him. If what you all said was true earlier then we need to keep lionheart at arms length. It seems that if his daughter was in the process of getting kidnapped. His wife might have already been taken. For now we should all become familiar with the place. We still have time before they get here so i suggest everyone take advantage of the academy boundaries."Raven added
Everyone nodded in agreement on this plan
"Alright but if things get messy we fall back inside the academy with the other defenses were setting up."raven stated as they all nodded in agreement again.
"Good. thats all for now go have fun kiddios"qrow said dismissing everyone as they all went to do what needed to be done. Though someone stoped a few of them.
"Bombay and beidou was it….please come here"raven called out stopping the two for a moment with nadia and qrow by her side.
"Oh uh…sure"bombay answered awkwardly as she walked over to the taller women as beidou placed her hands behind her head.
"Whats up because i promised these kids to teach em a few of me and paddy moves for defending themselves"she asked curiously.
"Actually i want mrs. sage here to do us a favor by keeping an eye on my daughter for me"qrow stated which surprised the cat faunus
"Okay….is their a reason why i need to play babysitter for your kid?"she questioned
"I'm noy denying my niece can handle herself in a fight but their is another reason that i'm sure you know about. After all you both have silver eyes"raven mentioned which made the cat freeze a moment looking away.
"I've read the reports on you how a twelve year old girl lost all her family in one night. Someone slaughtered all of them but three months later a stampede of grimm was wipe away with a flash of white light"raven stated before narrowing her gaze slightly
"Though a year later she suffered a terrible PTSD episode making her go on a rampage"she finished
Bombay didn't say anything at first but knows what the women and them are talking about now.
"So….you did your research on me…i promise i have them under control now okay"She said looking away shamefully.
"Yeah lets hope you do. Because you've been through it and she almost went through it back in deepwald. I just don't want my girl to experience that side of herself when this happens"qrow said with worry in his tone.
"If you want i can make sure to keep an eye on her making sure no one hurts her"bombay said
"Its not just that. I don't want her to get angry again like that she truly discovers the other side of her silver eyes powers. Which is also why we wanted to move her far away from the battle with may and onxyia to keep an eye on her."qrow added
"Don't worry i can do that. Gotta look out for my fellow silver eyes i guess"bombay said though beidou was curious why she was needed here exactly.
"Okay but what about me why do you need me exactly?"she questioned
Nadia rubbed her arm glancing at her for a moment"look i know you can't say what happened in atlas really. But you know how to keep my kid calm and avoid him from panicking from whatever that psycho did to him right?"she asked
This surprised beidou who paused for a moment sighing"i'm a combat psyhcitarist lady…let me guess you want me to keep an eye on the kid?"she asked
"If its not too much to ask because well…i'm worried that he still hasn't been getting decent sleep despite those nightmares. I know i should press him on the topic but…i'm scared of putting him in some episode or something"nadia admitted with worry.
"Why do you think i didn't want your son in the frontlines. Because hows hes acting that attitude will cost someone life if hes not careful. Sooner or later you need to confront him before things get worse"raven warned as the tiger nodded
"I know…its just…i don't know look could you keep an eye on him for me please"nadia begged which she didn't need to.
Beidou laughed slightly"you don't gotta beg girly. Don't worry i'll tell irish to help me if i need to if you want he could assist this cat here in watching your kid. Hes a marksmen and recon specialist after all"she offered
This made qrow consider the possible offer for a moment because hes seen a few of these atlas spartans in action when working with james in the past. They are skilled soldiers and make great for escrot missions as he liked the sound of that.
Qrow nodded"i'd like that tell your man to keep an eye on her for me. Be a big help"he replied
"Good then lets get things done"raven added as she went over the plans again with qrow as the other three left them. Though she might need to call tai for some backup and checkup on mai and her group since they still haven't arrived yet which is worryining her right now.
After the meeting everyone went to do what they would normally do around the academy. While neptune and bashira were on their own right now just talking to each other right now to get to know each other.
Neptune rubbed his head"so bash…i know i already told you how i'm afraid of water and stuff. Uhhh got anything your afraid of or something?"he asked to start some conversation
"What we on a date now? Thought you just wanted to talk for a bit or whatever"bashire replied as he froze slightly but got his composure back
"Nah not a date! I mean more like to pass the time before we all do something or whatever"neptune quickly said as he was blushing slightly which the girl noticed
Because everysince the train ride and their little walk to mistral right now she been noticing something. That mainly being how he keeps staring at her a few times and keeps asking about her alot which she appreciate it.
This made her already deduce the guy became smitten with her which she found funny. But shes rarely dated anyone before since shes got a select few preferences and stuff though she might as well play the long game for fun.
"Well if i gotta say what i'm scare of it….it would have to be….rats"bashira said which surprised him
"Rats? Those things with the long tails….buck teeth….and how their very cuddly"neptune jokes the last part making her shiver gagging slightly at those things being adorable.
"Shut up….those things are not adorable seriously their filled with a bunch of disease and stuff. I mean seriosuly how does anyone keep those things as a pet"bashira stated in disgust.
Neptune laughed slightly"well some people like them what you punch a rat faunus if you see one or something"he said as the girl blushed slightly with an embarrassed look because it was one time that it happened as he stared at her which made him laugh.
Bashira blushed even more from the laughter growling tapping him on the shoulder a little hard.
"Shut up! It was one time! Sorry that i was just a little kid and i coudln't control myself after some kid with a rat tail tackled me while in daycare. God the parents were mad at me….dad grounded me for a week straight"She groaned
"Alright alright sorry. Just found it a little funny you know"he said rubbing the spot on his shoulder
"True though….how'd you get out the fall by the way? Must have been pretty tough"bashira asked as he paused for a moment sighing
"Well it was a little hard at first since well….i did head straight back home when things were going sideways. Sun and my teammates said they'll be in shade continuing their studies though seems like that guys on his way here"neptune started sighing for a moment
"Though hearing hes got a girlfriend whos dad was a grimm knight is weird. But i'm going off topic am i?"he asked
"You are but continue"she replied
"Well during the fall me and sun were doing our best to get anyone out of the city the best we can. Though ran into an issue after well a grimm kinda picked me up carrying me off to feed its chicks"neptune admitted embarrassed as she chucklded
"Let me guess your ex leader saved you in time"bashira asked as he nodded sighing
"Yep i owe the guy for that hope eria and her sister can handle their issues. Though surprised your planning nice with them now still."he added
The huntress in training thought about how much of a jerk she was to that ice queen in the anima and on the way here trying to keep her mouth shut. Though seeing how ozpin is alive and a grimm with silver eyes did change her mood alot.
Bashira exhaled heavily"well i changed my tune alright still feel like a jerk how i acted. Though wanna hear how i got out?"she asked peeking his interest a little.
"Sure might liven things up"neptune agreed
"Alright so how i got out was after running out with the three remaining member of team VRML. The team we faced off in the first round….apperently from what i heard leah really hates these grimm knights. Though i mainly took a ship to the patch to see my big brother who lived their"she started titling her head back slightly
"Though once their i get stuck their with my big bro telling me that i'm not allowed to leave the patch how he told mom that i'll be staying their for my safety. "She said in annoyance
"Hey come on older siblings are meant to be a little overprotective of their younger siblings. Still feel….pretty bad at times for almost drowning my brother i'll admit"neptune sadly said because the guilt is still their at times.
Bashira noticed his strigg for a moment before letting out a claming breah of air.
"I'm sorry for your lose….tanner was a great guy. He was pretty fun guy to hang out with"bashira said
This made neptune slightly go wide eyed as he looked down before smiling slightly at that.
"Yeah….rough seeing him in a coffin amongst the people we lost that day we all lost someone important to us that day. Velvet and coco lost both their partners. All of cardin team is gone which is hurting him i'm sure. May and nolan are the only ones left and he lost both his legs"he started before sighing fighting the tears back.
"Scarlet watching out for him back in shade i heard. But…jaune, nora and ren lost pyrrha…god i miss her. Especially T….perun misses that guy alot. I'm a little worried blondie is still considering murdering someone in their name. Those guys where close to them"he continued before a soft smile came
"Though a few of us weren't really dead and it made a few people smile at that. Heck were working with criminals right now to fight monsters"neptune stated
Bashira chcukled at that as she thought about the people they lost that day.
"Though all we gotta do is have to handle things with the white fang their like army coming here to destory the academy. Which i aint gonna allow my kingdom to crumble at all"neptune said getting a little frustrated at the whole situation
Bashira could see he was frustrated as she decided to handle it by flicking neptune on the head.
"Ow! What was that for?!"neptune asked rubbing the spot on his head
"Your overeacitng we got this. Besides we got our own army coming here with that sniper girl radioing in for help. "She said knowingly
Neptune sighed as he calmed down"yeah i got it. I was just a little stressed out. Hey uh since we got time to kill. Wanna go umm well…"he said stumbling for a moment losing his cool guy motif as she rolled her eyes.
"Follow me water boy i know a killer ice cream place in town. Owner knows me and will give us a discount. Though your buying"bashir asaid which surprised him as he blinked for a moment as she was walking away.
"Wait uh…did you just ask me out on a date?"neptune asked as she didn't respond as he began to chase after her as the two began to spend some time together.
Although in another part of the academy were the others watching some of them do hand to hand combat training. While sparring right now on the training grounds was rogue and yang right now as it seemed the blonde improved on her hand to hand combat actually. Yang went to throw a few jabs but rogue nimble body avoided each jab as she took advantage of teh opporutntiy to get behind yang and delivered a hip which knocked her slightly off balance but she recovered
"Man is it me or is rogue getting better at hand ot hand. Did you guys teach her some?"cardin asked
"Nah those videos that pyrrha and zane made helped a little. I knew a bit from praticing with you guys though weiss seems to be improving too. What type of style is this again"jaune asked
Nadia chuckled"it'd be swarmer style best for someone her size to overwhelm their opponents. Used a few times on a few girls who were bigger than me in the ring…and in the sheets"she joked earning some looks.
The two grapled trying to gain the upper hand on each other but with yangs size she was clearly the stronger one of the two but it didn't mean rogue already knew that. So deicidng to use yang size to her advantage. She leaned back making yang come forward at her losing her footing and then rogue managed to flip the taller teen as she landed on her back.
"Okay…ow. That really hurt"yang groaned
A hand reached up offering her on which was rogue.
"Need a hand?"rogue offered. Yang smirked a little taking it as rogue pulled her up.
"Man that was quite a toss guess you've been praticing more. You picked up a few things even weiss managed to flip nora early"yang reminded since nora was easily defeated by the ice queen after a previous spar.
"I know right though i was just going easy on her"nora stated making weiss chuckled slightly
"Sure you were nora. Woudln't want you to look bad infront of your renny….same goes for me and falk"weiss teased making the ginger roll her eyes taking a seat.
"Still no one been able to take me down like that in a while. Guess i need to brush up ona few things myself"yang admitted
"We all gott be at our best next time because well we don't know what will happen. We have alot of enemies now"rogue replied
"Good point though whos up next. Because you grunt said you demonstrate how you guys do things"yang said to the two soldiers in their midst as beidou chcukled sighing.
"Well then if you want a demonstration. Irish and youngblood will spar with each other like old times"beidou stated as paddy stood up cracking his back before removing his shirt to reveal his heavily toned body. Along with a tattoo on his right peck of the atlas spartans insignia as he got into a stance.
"Come on kid lets go for old times. If rico was here it be a hoot"paddy said as the grimm hybrid sighed rubbing his neck removing his jacket off as well and shirt making the three girls hes dating blush because he was actually getting his muscles back. Though meg was their but flinched seeing all those scars on him at that moment.
"Great we get to watch two sweaty guys dual….fifty lien on the other guy"lazuli stated taking bets now.
"Your on twenty on walker kid"junior replied joining in as the two oppoennts faced each other down for a moment as the first to strike was paddy. The man lunged forward as he started to deliver several spins kicks at alarming speeds driected at him.
Though zane was quick as he raised his arm to block a few of his strikes as they bounced off his arms. But paddy decided to use his size to his advantage as he side stepped him jabbing him in the back as he winced. Zane then quickly twisted around as he caught him by the forearm. Then he turned back around as he flipped him quickly over his shoulder behind him.
But paddy quickly recovered as he rolled into it getting on all fours before dashing forward as he flipped over him then kicked him in the back sending him him to the ground hard as zane picked himself up shaking is off as the man laughed
"Aye you holding back or something? Come on wheres that bite"he taunted making zane growl as he did something unexpected going into something none of them have seen a long time as a giant arm blade appeared on his right arm as he growled at him.
"Quit messing with me!"he shouted back lunging forward though paddy was stunned slightly but before zane could move any further. He noticed himself in his slasher form as he stared at the blade on his arm.
Then in an instant a flash happened startling him to see blood their as he molted it off hearing distant screaming covering his face. As he started to take small rapid breaths as nadia figured out what was going on rushing over.
"Aright stop it. Look why don't another pair of you go alright"nadia said escorting him to the side line as yang sat on a bench near ruby while weiss sat near falk.
"Alright then i'll give a crack at it….lets go metal legs"cardin said
"Okay your on then maid boy"mercury taunted back as they all watched the two of them spar right now as they all had other things on their minds. But zane slipped his clothes back on trying to get control his breathing.
"You doing okay over here?"jaune asked concerned as he took a few deep breaths before staring at his hands seeing no blood their.
"I'm..f-fine…just…uh haven't used that in a long time…must have been instincts kicking in"he said nerovusly which mars didn't like the look of wondering if his nephew was okay.
"Well….look i'm sure once this is over we can all relax. You sure your moms and uncle battle plan will work?"perun asked
"Not sure but right now its the best we got right now. If can secure the relic and prevent the academy from being desotryed its a wing for us"yang added
"With an attitude like that then the academy will fall again"mei voice said nearby as they turned to face her.
"Oh hello mrs. shen mei"ame greeted
"Oh you again. I thought you'd be doing something else other than bothering us. Because i'm still not happy with my broken nose you gave me"yang growled as her eyes changed red
"Instead of getting anger at me like you're doing you should listen to what i need to say"mei scolded before continuing
"Do you really think a plan like this will work the first time? The answer is simply no, no plan ever survives the first stage. Everyone knows that which is why you must come up with more than one plan incase the first plan fails. Besides i'm sure you know what your up against"mei stated
"Yeah the white fang and the twelve knights of grimm"yang replied
"Wrong! Your going up against a enemy that is willing to kill you at any cost. They are not to be taken lightly ad if you do you'll meet a gruesome fate. Unless you are willing to do the same then this academy is finished"mei replied
This confused them for a moment before some of them concluded what she was implying right now.
"Wait hold on are you saying that….we should kill them! Are you insane or something?! Theirs no way we'd do that!"jaune shouted but glanced away which someone noticed mainly nadia who went slightly wide eyed.
"Oh…from what i can tell and heard some of you considered murdering this team BRAS. three of you in fact. Along with that six of you have killed before. If you don't do it then this academy will fall like beacon because of someone here"mei said
"What is with you? Okay we get it your pissed your wife is gone but that makes no sense."falk replied
"Yeah because i know at least i didn't kill anyone before. Me and yang never have"ruby said
"The only ones i can guess would be these two soldiers, adam. No offense you guys"yang said
"None taken"adam said but nadia looked away for a moment which ren noited flinching slightly seeing that look
"Did…did you kill people before?"he questioned a sthe tiger sighed rubbing her faces with a serious expression.
"I killed a bunch of slavers who deserved it. They killed and burned alot of people bodies i regret it but….hey its something that will stick with me"nadia said
"Like mother like son then….guess he has alot more bodies than you. Hope your happy with commitng mass genocide freak"mei said directly to zane who looked down at that as velvet glared a little.
"Stop being so cruel he had no control of his actions. And i know for a fact he didn't kill anyone penny is still alive which means he didn't kill anyone"velvet firmly stated but the instructor scoffed before doing something as her hand glowed placing it on his head for some reason then she pulled out a strange looking disc from his head that glowed dark blue with a gaze surrounding it.
"Ummm what the heck did you just do?"rogue quesitoned confused as the havan students went wide eyed
"Uhhh thats her semblance she can take people memeoires from their head and play them out. Its how she corrects our mistakes in class"ame stated shocking them as nadia grwoeld at the women cracking her knuckles
"You better put that down now or your going to regret it"nadia warned but instead the women then channeled her aura into the disk before launching it into the air tossing it as it began to glow even brighter. Then a bright white enveloped them as it died down though lazuli growled at the women now.
"Lady you better turn this thing off now before i see something terrible done to my family again"lazuli threatened as neo smacked her fist together.
Mei huffed"no because i'm going to prove a point here because he must have murdered people and is hiding it from you i'm sure."she said annoying them as some glanced at the disc projecting something. That being the worst day of their lives the fall as vale was in flames with building being in ruin. Though some noticed that being the memory of zane showing him in a coughing fit puking up large amount of blood splattering on the ground, it startled them.
"I oh its that day….its the day the fall happened"thsiite said as some eyed him
"I…dude you look like your half dead…how are you even alive?"yang said in shock
"Seriously i…you must have alot of luck to survive something like that kid. You doing okay over their"paddy asked though zane was starting to take several rapid breaths as a flash of the fall happened as he clutched his head visible shaking right now beginning to have a panic attack.
"The blood isn't their…its not their…its not their"he muttered several times though hearing this were a few of the faunus mainly being dravan who raised an eyebrow at this. Beidou quickly grabbed him escorting him out the room
"I'm taking the kid to calm down teach that dumb bitch a lesson for me"bediou growled escroting him away though eria and rogue were stunned seeing him like that with all those bruises and cuts. Which made eria worry for her leader if he was doing alright right now. As nadia covered her mouth with tears forming
"I god dammit….your a real piece of work you know that? Thanks for making my kid have a panic attack. Shut it off now"nadia demanded but mai wasn't relenting scoffing sitting down with a smug look on her face.
"I can only turn it off though lets see if your brat killed anyone that day"mei said as it showed him picking himself upinjecting a syringe in his neck gasping for air.
But then the sound of screaming and gunfire could be heard as he puhsed through the pain running toward the source of it. As after a few minutes he arrived at a courtyard like area as several grimm where their. But a small group of civlians and huntsman where their with some students and soldier doing their best to keep them back
As speeding around the place leaving a rainbow like trail was neon who kept skating around on her skates. As she twirled her nunchucks as she smacked a grimm back stumbling it then she got toward a lamppost twirling around it launching her back. Before the grimm knew it she bodyehckec it as flynt was their with four different elemental clones
As they all raised their horns before blowing into them releasing a sonic attack covering the grimm in the aura of mixing elements. Then it roared in pain before exploding into a fiery explosion as it scattered to the winds. But one person caught their eyes that being someone holding someone with both his legs missing.
"Wait a minute…uh may your in it"falk pointed out
May looked shocked but blushed slightly"great this isn't awkward yeah you get to see him save me. And saved alot of other people their too. Jerk"she said directly to the teacher.
"Well i find that had to believe he must have killed some others while you ran for your life"mei said annoyed now.
Though instead of that it showed may stumbling down onto the ground almost dropping nolan panting heavily seeming exhausted. The uras didn't let the opporutnite be wasted as it roared lunging toward the girl ready to gobble her up as she shield her friend with her bodie at that moment. But instead of becoming its meal dashing forward was zane who rushed in with a pair of machine pistols firieng into it cuaisng it to stumble but just momentarily,
But this gave him the chance as he turned into his titan form ditching the machine pistols as the grimm opened it maw trying to chomp his head off. Though he caught it by the jaws as he grunted holding them in place. After some time he swiftly broke its lower jaw as he flipped onto its back raising his foot curbstompoing its head in as it landed with a thud as it scattered into dust. Then he stood their panting as the others dealt with their foes but some of them pointed their weapons at him
"Its that freak! Someone help me kill it before it kills us"A student stated poinitng a rifle at him
"Yeah the sooner we kill it the sooner we can avenge those it helped kill sinces its repsonsible for this"another studnet added though some others had different words to say as neon skated around seeming tired but kept her smile
"Oh c'mon this is confusing yeah but i mean….uhhh why the heck would he save us then?"neon pointed the obvious out
Flynt tipped his fedora"neon right because…man…we almost got swooped….god i need a breather"he said panting heavily as some of the huntsman didn't flaunter as he stood their molting it off deciding to ask a question toward them for someone hes looking for.
"You guys seen the other hayley heiress here? Eria come through here…or what?"he asked struggling to talk but immediately in real life eria went wide eyed hearing him ask that as she stared down right now. He looked for her the entire time while in that state making her have a few tears form.
"He…he was looking for my sister…the entire time?"rogue asked with tears forming a little.
As miyuki rubbed her neck momentarily"well when xander and akasha brought him in. kept mumbling how he needs to keep searching the distract for survivors and mentioned your name. "She mentioned making the cold girl stunned by that.
Flynt panted in the memory"nah last i saw she was with that schnee chick and her leader. Don't know where they went though"he replied. Though grimm roars started to come from the disc as it showed about thirty grimm their a small horde of them on the prowl approaching them. Though what they did not expect was him to walk over grabbing a magnum along with a sword staff.
"You all head to the airdocks….i'll hold these dam things off. Now get going"he demanded as they seemed to hesitate but all of them began to run away from the horde of grimm. Though he started to sprint toward the hoard of grimm head first
"No way that guy actually went head first into a horde of grimm and survived"tyra asked stunned
"This has to be a trick because i do not believe the clown of beacon academy managed to slaugther and survive that many grimm"weiss stated in thats what was happening. As he dove in head first using the sword staff as he sliced off a grimm arm stunning it then brought it stabbing below its jaw killing it. Then he dodged another strike twriling the staff as he sliced into another before rolling around it stabbing it in the side killing it. As he then tossed it up before spin kicking it into a nearby grimm skull killing it.
But he kept dodging and weaving through them avoiding their strikes as the grimm were afters it troublesome prey. He drew a long sword out as he reeled it back slicing into a grimm midsection gutting it. Then another tried to sneak up on him but he quickly dodged it slicing its head clean off its shoulders. As he began to dash through them slicing and chopping them with his weapon. He drew the magnum beofre firing back into the grimm, as he dodged one then executed it as he kept firing at them until a click could be heard as he ditched the spent gun.
Though next the golaith roared its trunk as it rushed at him as before he could react he was launched hard into a building,As he molted off the armor falling to the ground with a thud but cried in apin. He layed their panting as he slowly picked hismelf up but on his wirst something was broken. The bracelet as he growled tearing it off holding his side in pain coughing up more blood onto the ground
"Okay….you wanna go….then i'm not holding back"he said as he shifted into his titan form as the grimm decided to rush at him again. The goliath leaned it head down to impale him on his tusk but instead he planted his feet as he caught it by its tusk. The grimm seemed to be persistent moving forward making him create a deep groove in the concrete. But without that bracelet he began to slowly lift the grimm slightly off the ground before roaring lifting it slightly above his head. Then he slammed it down hard creating a large dust cloud and thud. Snapping off its tusk he jammed it in its head as he stared at the remaining grimm before him
Jumping back into the fray he began to brutally kill them as he got slashed by a grimm but he punched it in the jaw so hard it became dislcoated. Then he swiftly snapped its neck as he axe kicked another skull in. Next he buried his hands into another grimm beginning to pull it apart in the middle as it roared in pain. But he kept going tearing it completely in half as he began to laugh like he was enjoying it. Then he began a brutal assault against several grimm tearing them apart with his bare hands.
The others were in complete shock right now seeing this wondering what happened to some of them that day. But for him he had a death wish it seems.
"He spent the entire time killing grimm….god dam"tyra said baffled.
"Okay…i guess we know who might have the highest kill count here for most grimm killed"merucyr said as rogue jaw was complete slack as were a few of them
"That was so cool! I mean lifting a goliath like that is cool those things weigh like a ton. But i'm sure i thunder thighs can lift one easily!"nora cheered
"Man this is just funny….guessing he earned that title in your family as grimm slayer"yang joked as mars was in shock a little seeing him in that state but sighed smiling slightly.
"Well….i guess my dumb nephew has earned that title. You have an interesting kid sis"he said as soon enough it was over as he stood their panting heavily dropping the weapons in hand. Then he apporached something a dead bodie against a wall.
But it was not just anyone dead bodie it was tanner mckay dead body as he had a chest wound with blood seeping through. Along with blood stianing his lips along with a shit eating grin across his face. But alot of them flinch at that as zephyra gasped turning away covering her face as tears formed
"No…no…no i can't see this right now"She cried as ame covered her face up right now as perun clenched his fist glaring at his teacher
"Shut it off…shut it off i don't wanna see my best friends dead bodie. Shut it the hell off"he demanded shoving her but she kept her stoic gaze as rogue flicnhed having tears begin welling up as eria sniffed looking down clenching her prosthetic knee tight. As dravan took this chance to pull the two into his chest shlieding them
"Don't look….god i….it'll be okay"he soothed as none of them liked this though paddy noticed something for a moment surprising him
"You might want to see what the kids doing right now to that kid you knows bodie"he stated confusing them as slowly both the hayley twins pulled themselves away hesitantly to look but look shocked as he began placing each of the bodies in a line. And returned each of the fallen soldiers and huntsman weapon. Last was tanner bodie placing his weapons in his arms but started to laugh slightly shaking his head.
"God dammit…..i'm so sorry….it won't bring any of you back but…guess the twins hate me now. Guess we aint getting that dumb match afterall….least i could do is make sure you get back home for a proper burial. L-let hope i find eria…if she dead..well guess i'm blowing my brains out"he said before walking off into the city to continue the fight as it finished. But all them sat their in silence for a moment seeing that right now.
None of them expected that right now as nadia was hurt hearing that. But for perun he was shocked he would do that for his best friend with tears on his had tears flowing down her cheeks stunned her leader and partner searched for her sister and made sure her best friend bodie got back home. Eria coudln't help but cry hugging herself right now.
"He…he actually placed people bodies….making sure they got found."falk said finally breaking the silence
Paddy stood their sighing"well seems that kid did do some good that day saving some people. But made sure some people got proper burials…the kid get one?"he asked as soon enough jaune spoke up
"He did…he…his bodie wasn't torn to shred it was all normal."jaune answered. As some looked at mei waiting for her to eat her words but she wasn;t giving up.
"Oh so he helped place bodies…..he had to have killed someone here"mei said fast foward it waving her hand but junior grab her by the arm gripping it tight.
"Lady i suggest you stop it right now! Thats my friends kid and she hurt seeing him like that"he warned though what played caught cardin offguard that being when he saw him last during the fall. Though some gaze where drawn to it meg especially because something scared her. Seeing her own daughter on the ground about to be killed right now. Though what surprised them was a voice speaking up before he allowed bane to take control.
What happened next was him attacking adder as the others ran away saying his parting words. As it quickly shut off their as the disc shattered into pieces. Meg was stunned to see him in that condition defend her daughter.
"Okay nows that down lady leave right now. "Cardin demanded as junior tossed her out of the room. Though with eria she had tears running down her face wiping them away for a moment but they wouldn't stop.
"So..that was intense…man she is a jerk"mercury stated
"Your telling me though uh you two doing alright you keep crying"mars asked the two twins as rogue blinked for a moment rubbing her eyes smiling a little seeing that because she was disappointed in him. Though seeing that made her happy
"I'm um…fine just need a breather"she replied softly
"Well at least we know walker dumb kid isn't a killer."junior said though adam turned to lazuli who became very quiet right now looking at the floor which he noticed. Lazuli stood up beginning to walk away catching their attention
"Hey feathers. Going somewhere?"falk asked making her stopped. Turning around she had a smile on her face
"I'm just gonna go for a walk maybe check on Z. should leave him alone for a bit to let him calm down"lazuli said walking away looking straight ahead. But adam got up from his seat and decided to go after her. By then falk along with weiss shared a look with each other.
"So anyone else wanna go after seeing someone with the highest grimm kill count"cardin asked
"Sure oi big boy me and you lets go. "Mars said to junior as he shook his head as the two began to fight as they continued their training.
At that moment lazuli was going through her own thoughts more important about what mei said to everyone. She didn't want to say anything to the other especially her family in fear how they'll react to her saying that she also killed someone even if it wasn't intended to. Right now she was distracting herself looking up at the CCT tower.
"So their you are? Walked away in a hurry you know?"adam said behind as she didn't have to look
"Sorry i just…needed to take a walk"lazuli lied as he spotted it easily.
"We both know thats not it"he said well knowing what she was really talking about
"You haven;'t told them yet…have you"adam said
"No. how can i? I means it isn't just a subject you bring up at dinner like hey i murdered someone. It makes me sick thinking about it"lazuli added
"I know….killing someone for the frist time is never an eays one. I had no one to help me through what i did…ollie didn't care. You however have friends and family to fall on…and you've got me too"adam replied. She looked at him taking his words into account before leting out a shaky breath as she nodded
"I want…to tell them….they deserve to know what i did"lazuli replied
"Are you sure that you want to tell them? Your sister and aunt are their….how would they react?"he warned
"I know…but they deserve to know"lazuli frimly said
Both their eyes met and adam could tell that she wanted to follow through what she said. He walked up to her pulling her into an embrace as she didn't resist like she melted into his touch.
"Alright but i'll be right next to you"Adam said before letting go.
Lazuli took a breath in then let it out slowly"i'm ready"she said as they headed back to the group. Hopefully they would undersntad. Once they returned qrow joined them their as nora and bombay were going at it. They noticed them coming back
"Heyya sis your back. Everything okay?"neo signed. Lazuli glacned to adam who only nodded
"Actually i um need to tell you all something. Something i think you deserve to know"lazuli replied which confused them but falk had a feeling what was happening but kept silent. After they gathered up lazuli explained what happened after yang dual with lee and how she had to kill him. Which made nadia just hug the girl immediately when she finished with a stunned look.
"No….no…no…what mei meant early god sweetie…i…you killed someone"nadia cried hearing this as neo looked stunned as lazuli looked down
"I…i don't feel proud of it…i…i didn't want to die"lazuli slightly cried as qrow was stunned hearing that as he sighed hearing she killed his old frined.
"Was it justified?"qrow asked
"What do you mean?"lazuli asked
"Look i'm pissed you killed my friend but sis told me he betrayed the tribe. Are you sure he might have surrendered?"qrow questioned. As she went through her thoughts on the day recalling every bit. Tried as she could but their was no other option than killing them
"No…i'm sorry"lazuli simply said
"Then it was jsutfied. Look you're enemy will be looking to kill you either they kill you or you kill them. Its never the eaisest solution but you had no other options."qrow said speaking from expeirces
"Hes right this world is a cruel palace…sometimes you gotta do what you need to survive but only if its necessary. As for these grimm freaks well…we gotta kill em before more people are dead"junior supportd
"Plus its having people that keep you grounded will help you through your trauma having to take someone life. Yet the guilt always remains"qrow said gesturing to everyone elese. Lazuli took a good look at seeing nothing but support from her friends and family.
"Thank you birdbrain"she thanked
"No problem. Though lets all get back to training"qrow added though soon enough someone questioned something
"Wait she meant three of us wanting to kill people….mercury makes sense….rogue who else?"falk asked as slowly raising their hand was jaune which stunned them actually.
"I…jaune why did you raise your hand?"yang aske stunned as he looked down in shame
"I also agreed to the plan that me, rogue and mercury had…i…don't want to hide it."jaune admitted shamefully though qrow chuckled
"Figured that out when you came to the patch kid. Was waiting on confronting you though gess your big sis and teammates already did"qrow said as he nodded as ren closed his eyes exhaling.
"We discussed this with him back in his sister home. We strayed him from that path so you don't need to worry"ren reassured making cardin sigh in relief
"Oh thank god freak me out right their…knew you loved pyrrha man but…i'm sure she happy your doing the right thing"cardin said he nodded
"Though uh i need to go do something see you all later"meg said quickly leaving them as they got paired up but dravan decided to follow her as they trained more.
Meanwhile neptune and bashira were making their return to the academy after getting some ice cream and talking like their on a date.
"Man you were right that stuff their is killer"neptune said
"I know right you did pay for most of it though…"she paused before noticing lionheart duck into an alley as she nudged him
"Whats up?"he asked as he looked to where she pointed. He saw lionheart slip into an alley.
"Now i wonder what your headmaster of your esteemed academy is doing all the way down here?"he asked as they went to inevistage. They inched near the alleyway as they evasdropps what he was saying.
"Yes i'm certain that she is here. What can i do i can't just tell them to leave that would raise suspicion on me. Yes yes i know stick to the plan. Capture her daughter and she'll help without a fuss but their are people near her at all times. She brought her brother and several others"he said as it was silent for a moment.
"No! Please…please don't hurt my wife. I've gotten the key to the vault in my office known as the sakura flower then we'll use raven to get the relic and you'll deliver it to your queen. I just want my wife returned to me safe"he said before disonnceting and began walking out of the alley.
Thinking fast bashira dragged neptune behind a set of crate as his face was shoved near her bust making him go flush. After he walked past them and got out of range she poped up.
"We gotta get back to the academy and quick"bashira said as they took a different route back to the academy to tell the others what they've discovered.
It seems that everyone has their own problems as lazuli told the group how she killed lee. But instead of disgsut she got support from them. Along with that seeing what zane was doing during the fall that entire time. Thanks for reading
