[TW: Cursing, Violence, Bakugou (for the obvious reasons)]
~Author's Notes~
Hey everybody, sorry for not posting a new chapter for this story. Things were getting stressful with school and junk and I just decided to go on a hiatus away from Fanfiction for a while because it is HARD trying to come up with fresh, new content while making sure my school stuff is going ok. Rest assured, I'll try my best to get the rest of this story and the others I've made done. Anyway, let's take a quick look at the reviews before we begin.
~Reviews~
~ Sod125dtr - Thanks, and I won't spoil anything for the other readers, but a member of Mason's team will be shown in this chapter. It took me a long while to figure out a good Pokėmon that'll fit this, but I got it now
~ MBS41 - Thank you. To inform you and whoever is curious, Mason is 20 in his universe. However, once he gets into MHA, he'll be physically aged down. It won't be enough to where he's his old child self again, but enough to make him fit in with Class 1A. And not to worry, the Pokėmon jokes are going to be limited
Also, a small reminder that I do not own either Pokėmon or My Hero Academia, this story was inspired by "The Pokėmon Hero" by "DireNightFury", and y'all should check out their content if you have the time
Besides that, enjoy this new chapter!
[Last time, on "The Power of Quirks and Pokėmon!" - our tale began in one dastardly pickle.]
[We last saw our heroes, Mason Woodriff and Stelego the Solgaleo, get chased by their former ally: The Corrupted Bat Pokėmon of the Moon, Dawn Wings Necrozma. It was only after an intense chase and fierce battle between The Lion and Possessed Bat Ultra Beasts, that Necrozma injured Stelego with a stray shot of its "Prismatic Laser."]
[Things then took a terrifyingly dark turn for the worse, as Necrozma began charging up its signature move - "Moongeist Beam" - and aimed it directly towards our Human and Pokėmon duo. This life-threatening discovery forced the Legendary Ultra Beast of the Sun to throw his human trainer through Ultra Space to protect him - leaving brave Stelego to fight Dawn Wings alone.]
[Now falling through the very fabric between time and space, Mason will stumble upon a new dimension - a dimension where Pokėmon DON'T exist and almost 80% of the entire world's population had a superhuman ability gingerly named "Quirks." With these quirks, the people of this world would have the choice to use them for good and become professional Heroes, or use them for evil and become professional Villains.]
[What is the name of this strange dimension? What will happen to Mason once he arrives? Will our World Pokėmon Champion be able to return home to his partner in time before he loses the last embers of his eternal sunlight?]
[Find out, in this chapter of "The Power of Quirks and Pokėmon!"]
~oOo~
The battle was growing more and more heated by the second, as the sound of explosions and slurs grew louder and louder. A boy was in the middle of this fight, trying his best to dodge the explosive projectiles being flung at him while attempting to calm his assailant down.
The boy in question had fair skin, emerald green eyes, and similarly hued locks of hair resting atop his head with freckles that adorned his nose bridge and upper portion of his cheeks. He was only at the age of 15 but was about to go through one of his many milestones toward being a Pro Hero.
His attire is - or was - his hero suit, more specifically "Costume Alpha." It was designed by the boy's mother to appear as a light green full-bodysuit with a red belt, knee pads, elbow pads, and shoes. Around the facial area was a mask with long ears, made to resemble the twin hair strands that stuck out on the head of the world-renowned "Symbol of Peace" like two comically large toothpicks, while the boy's respirator was made to look like the Number 1 Pro Hero's ever-so-gleaming smile.
The boy's name was "Deku" also known as "Izuku Midoriya", and he was terrified out of his mind but determined to finish this brawl.
"Kacchan, stop this! You're going too far!" Izuku cried out, only to be met with a face full of ignited nitroglycerin - leaving his ears ringing and unable to hear his attacker swear him out of existence. As the assailant fired another concentrated shot of liquid dynamite, Izuku dodged out of the way at the last moment before running down the rather large hallway - not planning on fighting, but distracting him long enough for his partner to defuse a bomb on one of the building's upper levels.
The opponent firing these explosive shots at him was Deku's past childhood friend. He had fair creamy skin, with blonde hair that jutted out like a cartoon bomb blew up in his face as a baby. His piercing red eyes would make people believe he was a demon, and his hot-headed personality would hammer the point in - if his fists didn't first.
His hero costume was still intact, thanks to his quirk keeping Izuku at bay. He wore a black sleeveless t-shirt with a big orange "X" crossing over it, alongside black pants with forest green knee padding. He also wore black combat boots with orange soles, while his face was equipped with an eye-covering face mask as black as his anger with orange accenting. On his wrists were a pair of gauntlets that looked like enlarged hand grenades - designed to support his wrist and forearms so he could withstand the output of his explosion's power while storing his sweat in a compartment for a devastating blast.
The boy's name was "King Explosion Murder" A.K.A "Bakugou Katsuki." Unlike his classmate, Bakugou didn't care if his teammate took care of Izuku's partner or not - all he wanted was to blow the extra into pieces, then blow those pieces into smaller pieces.
~oOo~
"OH SHUT UP YOU STUPID EXTRA! STOP RUNNING AND FIGHT ME ALREADY!"
Bakugou roared out in anger, his explosions nipping and grazing Izuku's body as he scrambled to gain as much distance from his explosive childhood tormentor as possible. After a moment, Izuku turned to see where Bakugou was - only to scream out in shock as the living hand grenade made a diving bee-line toward him from his tactical position above.
Bakugou, to his devious delight, connected his aerial attack against the skin of Deku's back - prompting the two to begin tumbling down the hallway in a cartoonish wheel. After a while of rolling, Bakugou stopped it by planting his hand into the tiles of the floor, before emerging on top with a cocky grin on his face and his eyes looking down at his opponent - the sole of his boot pressing firmly against Midoria's left cheek. He then released an evil laugh from the interior of his throat - prideful that he, once again, has asserted dominance over the weakest person he knows.
Unfortunately for him, Midoriya decided to introduce Bakugou's smug expression to the pavement by taking hold of his left ankle and tossing it to the right - upsetting the rageful UA student's balance and making him topple to the floor face-first. The inheritor of One for All then rolled out of the way, before standing himself up and getting into a combative stance - his body pumping floods of adrenaline to try and combat the fear stalking his rapidly beating heart. King Explosion Murder then swiftly rolled himself over into a 3-point stance, before lunging at his inferior competitor with his free hand outstretched - ready to blast him against the nearest wall.
Izuku saw the attack coming and countered it - grabbing Bakugou's forearm and swinging him around his body, before tossing him away like a bag full of garbage.
Bakugou, upon getting close to the ground, dug his palms into it to catch himself and slow down. After doing so, he then angled his body, before igniting his quirk to sling himself back toward Izuku. Midoriya saw his old friend's charge attack and rushed towards him - ready to finally charge up One for All and end his bitter rivalry with "Kachann" once and for all.
The two were just about to prove who was the victor of their bout - their knuckles nearly centimeters from connecting to the other's face, as pride and ambition flowed through their veins.
Before the 2 rivals could begin their true fight, they both heard an otherworldly crackling sound materialize from overhead.
~oOo~
In a sheer instant, Midoriya used a small percentage of One for All and flicked his index finger at the ground, flinging himself away from his opponent while breaking his finger in the process. At the same time, Bakugou popped small explosions from his hands to slow himself down and land softly on the soles of his feet.
After the two adjusted themselves accordingly, they both turned around and looked up, spotting the origin of the strange sound - a large circular opening in the ceiling that seemingly emerged from nowhere with blazing white cracks stemming out the entrance. It was a light shade of blue, with gray spider-web-like lines that moved inwards towards a bright light at the end.
The two completely forgot about their fight when they both saw a black silhouette slowly come closer to the portal's entrance - accompanied by a scream that seemed to grow louder by the second.
All of a sudden, the silhouette fell out of the portal and landed on the ground, causing a small cloud of dust and rubble to scatter out and cloak the figure from both of the students' eyesight. After the entity landed, the portal on the ceiling disappeared with an ear-ringing hiss, leaving nothing behind to even prove its existence in the room. As the dust began to settle, a muffled groan of pain emerged from the entity that fell from the portal - prompting Midoriya and Bakugou to spot the stranger as he slowly stood upright while coughing and sputtering from the dust surrounding his bodily form.
The stranger appeared as a tan-skinned teen around the Hero Course student's age, close to Bakugou's height and weight. His chest had a few noticeable discolored flaws that were visible, thanks to his shirt having been shifted around when he fell, and his hair and eyes were black as the night sky - the tiny bits of concrete that got stuck in his locks acted like stars within the flowing black sea of space that was his hair.
He wore ruffled red, black, and white clothing, a red and white baseball cap that was worn and torn with age, and a pair of red shoes with white soles that had seen better days.
The strangest part about the stranger's ensemble wasn't the multi-colored circular gemstone around his neck or the red and white bands on his wrists, but the belt that he wore around his waist which carried 6 small red-and-white balls on the right side of his body.
"OK! Yep, it's official - I am DONE with Ultra Space! From now on, I'm going everywhere on foot..." Mason spoke to himself, giving his attire and himself a light dusting from all the rubble that got on him after he made the most royal of face plants imaginable. After he finished clearing his hair of the last remnants of concrete, he spotted Izuku and Bakugou - both of them staring at him in absolute bewilderment.
~oOo~
The 3 stood in an uncomfortably long silence that seemed to last hours, and the World Pokėmon Champion was just about to introduce himself and explain everything that happened to help clear the air when he realized something: He didn't feel the presence of his trusty Solgaleo.
Suddenly, all of Mason's memories began to flood his mind - causing fear to form in his eyes. He then began to pace the floor back and forth in a panic, ranting and mumbling to himself quietly until he ripped his baseball cap off his head, threw it to the ground, and shouted out to the wind while shaking one of his balled-up hands towards the ceiling.
"Arceus dang it Stelego! You can't take on that thing - especially not on your own! Why do you have to care so much about my life instead of yours, you stupid sun lion!?" Mason roared, bringing the two childhood rivals of U.A. out of their shock-born stasis before leaving them both even more confused by everything he was saying.
After they both began to regain their composure, Bakugou was the first to act by walking towards the ranting and raving stranger.
"Oi! Patchwork!" Bakugou shouted, bringing Mason out of his rant and back into reality.
The Pokėmon World Champion would then look around the room in a confused manner, before looking towards Bakugou and placing the tip of his index finger on his chest - causing the explosive U.A. student to burst out in anger.
"Yeah, you! Who else has your weird-looking skin around here?" He aggressively questioned.
"First, that's a bit rude, don'tcha think?" Mason started. "Second, I don't have time to deal with you, I need to find my-"
"Don't you ignore me, you extra!" Bakugou roared, popping out small explosions from his hands.
Seeing King Explosion Murder's taunt caused Mason to jump back and tense up in shock - his left forearm covering his face while his right hand went straight for the first Pokeball on his belt. After a second, he brought his arm down - revealing his wide midnight-hued eyes brimming with shock.
"What…in Giratina's hell was THAT!?" Mason questioned, his eyes trained on Bakugou - instinctively causing him and Izuku to stare at Mason in pure confusion.
"You're…you're a human, but you're using moves a Pokėmon would only have access to… This can't be possible… it SHOULDN'T be possible… unless…" Mason started, his shocked and afraid expression turning into one of slowly building rage, combined with small elements of pity.
"Who did this to you? Team Rocket? Team Plasma? Some... forgotten components of the Aether Foundation I didn't get? Did they create a human-Pokėmon hybrid to try and stop me one last time? Will their insanity ever know the definition of boundaries!?" Mason shouted out, grabbing his head with both of his hands and keeping his eyes locked on Bakugo as his face made a shocked expression.
At this point, questions of all shapes and sizes roamed freely within the cerebral cortexes of the blond and greenette. Out of every inquiry that rattled itself inside the U.A Hero Course student's heads, the most prominent out of all of them was the following.
"What's the Aether Foundation?," "Who or what is Team Rocket or Team Plasma?," "What's a Pokėmon?," "Who's this 'Stelego' guy?," and "What 'moves' was this guy talking about?"
~oOo~
Despite the synchronized moment of confusion the two shared, Bakugou's curiosity was swiftly overwhelmed by his slowly growing rage.
First, a strange portal appeared out of nowhere - messing up his fight with the nerd. Then, this... this mismatched fucker ignored his question, and now he's calling him a "Poke-whatever!?"
How Fucking Dare He!
Right before Izuku could ask a question - King Explosion Murder stepped in front of him and brought both of his arms behind himself, preparing to send himself flying forward.
"Screw this! I'm gonna blast ya straight to hell, then get some answers out of you there, you piece of shit!" Bakugou roared out, as he ignited his quirk and charged forward toward Mason - preparing to launch a devasting strike. Once he heard Bakugou's declaration of attack, Mason's eyes widened once again with shock as he ripped the first Pokėball off of his belt and tossed it out in front of him - watching as it impacted the floor and released a bright flash of light as it opened.
Bakugou, partially blinded by the unexpected light, fired out his fist for a feral right hook - hoping to hit Mason and open him up for another attack.
That expectation was immediately shattered, as Bakugou not only felt something far bigger than a human impact his fist but swiftly recoiled in pain as something big directly jabbed itself into his stomach - launching him backward into a wall with the speed of a bullet being fired from a gun.
Izuku immediately dodged out of his ex-childhood friend's flight path before hiding behind an unscathed pillar, staring wide-eyed and slack-jawed at what just hit Bakugou.
As Bakugou fell to the ground from his spot on the wall, a hiss of pain slithered its way through his bared and gritted teeth as he slowly sat himself up onto a knee - the pain from whatever hit him in his stomach coursing through his veins with every move he did. While he did so, a new question spearheaded its way toward the front of the numerous in his mind: "What the hell just hit me?"
~oOo~
Luckily, Bakugou wouldn't have to wait to gain his answer, as it called itself out for him in a loud, booming battlecry.
"EMPOLEON!" The creature roared out, its cold, ocean-blue eyes intensely piercing their way into Bakugou's soul like a pair of ice picks as he took himself a few moments to regain his breath after all the lungs got launched out of his lungs. Soon, the explosive U.A. student looked up at the creature before him, prompting his eyes to widen in pure shock and his jaw nearly dropped to the ground.
The beast in front of him appeared as a giant, navy blue penguin with a wide, yellow beak that extended upward into a trident-shaped crest. Over its eyes was a blue marking that resembled a crown and a white, lacy marking that ran down its chest like snow-covered ice. A blue, fin-like projection formed a collar around its throat and ran down the length of its chest and belly. On its back lay two raised, gold bumps and a second bluefin that formed its tail. It stood upright like a human with its yellow webbed feet that had feathers forming ruffs over them. It also had wide, flipper-like wings rimmed with blue along the tips, and three golden claws - the edges of these wings looking nearly similar to master-crafted blades.
"Phew, that was close! Thanks for the quick save, bud!" Mason exclaimed to his Empoleon from behind it, receiving a few friendly grunts from the Pokėmon in question the moment it turned his head to find him.
"Thank Arceus all-mighty I had Empoleon as my first Pokėmon on stand-by. I would've been target practice if I didn't!" Mason thought to himself, as he made his way over to his Empoleon's side and gently patted its left flipper - causing the Emperor Penguin Pokėmon to turn towards Mason and smile at him.
After the friendly exchange, the Pokėmon and its trainer both turned to face their opponent, once they saw Bakugou had finally got himself back up and recovered from both his shock and his brief meeting with the wall behind him.
In the corner of Mason's eye, he spotted the greenette from earlier - hiding behind a pillar that was untouched by damage and soot while shivering from either awe, fear, intrigue, or a combination of the three. He figured he was another trainer who had difficulty catching this "Human-Type Pokėmon," though he couldn't figure out where his Pokėbelt was if he did want to catch the Pokėmon.
"The hell's that thing!?" Bakugou roared, demanding answers from the teen only to receive his and the large penguin's stone-cold gaze. Mason then jutted out a finger toward Bakugou and began to speak to him.
"Listen you… Pokėmon… human… hybrid thing. I don't know who created you or for what purpose, but I know this: We don't have to fight. We can handle this whole situation calmly and rationally."
Mason spoke in a calming tone of voice while taking up a non-aggressive stance - hoping his words would reach the amalgamate of human and Pokėmon DNA and make it stand down.
~oOo~
Unfortunately for him, it was not very effective...
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, YOU DAMN EXTRA!" Bakugou raged, surprising both Mason and Empoleon with his outburst.
"What in Acreus's holy name did you get mashed together with? It's got to be a Primeape with how angry you are." Mason questioned in quick response - his mind thinking back to the Fighting Pokėmon's infamous rage while Bakugou began to seethe at the Trainer's words.
"THAT DOES IT! FIRST I'LL KILL THAT SHITTY PENGUIN, THEN I'LL KILL YOU, YOU SHITTY HUMAN QUILT!" King Explosion Murder declared in defiant response, popping off more powerful explosions from the palms of his hands. Instead of intimidating his opponent like last time, all it did was make the teen sigh - either in annoyance for him refusing to cooperate or in sadness that he couldn't reach a peaceful solution with him.
"I guess we're doing this the hard way then," Mason stated, prompting Empoleon to fight beside its trainer, while his hand hovered over the many different Pokėballs on his belt. "A good old-fashioned battle and a few minutes inside a Pokėball 'ought to quell that red-hot temper of yours!"
"DON'T YOU MOCK ME, YOU EXTRA!" Bakugou roared out, making more explosions pop out of his hands.
"Ready, Empoleon?" Mason asked his fully evolved starter Pokėmon, getting a nod and a grunt yes in response. "Alright then. Let's get this party started!" Mason shouted, a large and confident smile slashing his face, as the duel between the Pokėmon trainer and the fiery UA student began.
~oOo~
"Empoleon, use Hydro Pump!" Mason commanded while pointing at Bakugo.
The Pokėmon then reared its head back with its mouth wide open - a medium-sized light blue ball appearing in the hollow space - before firing out a highly pressurized beam of water that flew through the air toward him. The explosive Hero Course student dodged out of the way at the last second - using his quirk to blast himself to the right - allowing him to witness the wall he was in front of gain a large crater. Once the water beam dissipated, Bakugou ignited his quirk again and rushed out towards Empoleon.
"Empoleon, dodge it!" Mason shouted, the Pokėmon ducking down and allowing the explosive Hero course student to fly right over it happening as a result. Bakugou rolled on the ground once he made contact with it, before planting his hand down and making his body enter a 3-point stance - glaring daggers at the human-sized penguin.
"He's fast and likes getting up close and personal? Lucky for him, so are we! Close the distance on him, then attack with Steel Wing Empoleon!"
Empoleon rushed up to Bakugou, the blue tips on its wings glowing silver before they hardened into pure metal. Once it got close enough, Empoleon proceeded to attack Bakugou - smacking the Hero Course student across his face and body like a cream-colored punching bag. At the same time, Bakugou attempted to block every attack the beast threw at him, getting a few punches on the beast himself. The two combatants then drove the brief confrontation to a halt, as Bakugou fired one clean explosion right in Empoleon's face while the latter slapped the explosive student across his with its steel-hardened wing - knocking the two backward and away from each other.
"Empoleon, are you alright!?" Mason cried out in a worried tone, watching in suspenseful fear as he saw the Water-Steel Type Pokėmon stumble backward from Bakugou's explosion and land on its rear end.
Thankfully, Empoleon shook its head a bit and stood straight up after a second, causing Mason to release a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Bakugou rolled against the floor, before stopping himself in his tracks - his breath ragged. After a moment, the explosive Hero Course student leaped into the air and lunged out his arms before firing a barrage of explosions toward Empoleon.
Sadly for Bakugou, the Emperor Penguin Pokėmon blocked the entire barrage, the fronts of its flippers singed and covered in small black bruises. It grew worse for him when Mason ordered his Pokėmon to use its "Hydro Pump" move again - dousing Bakugou in water as he cratered into the ceiling above him and fell to the ground after the attack concluded.
"You sure are strong, and there's no doubt you're fast, but you've forgotten one little detail: I got the type advantage!" Mason exclaimed with confidence dripping from his every word, as Bakugou slowly got himself back up on his feet - his hero costume now dripping wet and partially ripped around the chest and arms.
Izuku, on the other hand, was perfectly fine - currently hiding behind a small pile of rubble with a look of shock and awe scrawled across his face. Due to Katsuki and the strange humanoid penguin's battle - the mock "Hero vs. Villain" arena was becoming more and more desecrated, with most of the damage caused by Bakugou's explosions. The entire scene, despite living in a world where everyone has an otherworldly power gifted to them by their genetics, looked like something birthed from a dream to Midoriya - and all he could do was watch every second of it from a safe distance.
"Now Empoleon! Give 'em some pressure with Drill Peck!"
The crest on Empoleon's head started to glow a bright white as it heard its trainer's command before it moved its flippers to the right and leaped forward into the air, before spinning itself around at such high speeds that it became a large blur with a glowing white tip. It then swiftly advanced towards Bakugou while he slowly recovered from being hit with Hydro Pump - prompting his eyes to widen at the quickly encroaching whirlwind of black and blue feathers.
"Emm-PO!" The Emperor Penguin Pokėmon cried out, as it hit Bakugou directly in his chest - once again knocking the air out of his lungs and sending him flying toward a nearby wall. Katsuki wasn't out of the running yet, however, as he used his quirk at the last second to propel himself forward and soar through the air like a vengeful Pidgey. Bakugou then looked down and held his arms out in front of him, before releasing a heavy payload of his heated nitroglycerin-based sweat upon the Water/Steel-Type Pokėmon - bombarding it from above.
~oOo~
Mason gasped audibly as Bakugou landed in front of the crater where his Empoleon once stood, wearing nothing but a devilish smile and an intimidating gaze that could put a Gyrados' stare to shame.
"Acreus all mighty, this thing is tough! Not only did he tank Empoleon's strongest attack, but practically outdid it with his own! What in the holy name of Dialga did those Zubat-crazy quacks put in that thing!?" Mason thought to himself, as he heard Katsuki let out a low cackle, before taking a few steps forward toward him - causing the Trainer's blood to run cold.
"Heh, guess that dumbass bird wasn't all that strong after all…" Bakugou spoke to Mason as he drew closer, his left hand sparking with small explosions close to firecrackers. "You gave me a run for my money - I'll give you that much - but it's time you join your butt ugly chicken in hell…"
As King Explosion Murder got closer and closer to Mason, the joy of finally putting an annoying pain in his ass back in its place blinded him from the sight of a familiar penguin-shaped shadow rising from the thick cloud of dark grey smoke - causing Mason to stretch his lips into a determined grin.
Bakugou, as expected from a reaction, grew confused for a moment. However, he shook it off quickly and leveled his hand towards Mason. As his palm began to glow a fierce heat and his sweat began to slowly glide down his hand, Bakugou's hubris deafened his ears to the sound of loud and fast stomps growing closer to him.
With a bellowing cry to the wind, Bakugou roared to his inferior "SEE YOU IN HELL, YOU EXTRA!" and was just about to fire off an explosive shot right into his face... before his ears finally received a familiar battlecry coming from behind, followed by whooshing wind.
"EMMM-POOOO!" Empoleon roared, as it soared through the air with Drill Peck and struck Katsuki dead center of his back - sending him flying once again. It then landed on its webbed feet, reared its head back, and used Hydro Pump one more time - nailing Katsuki on his back again and forcing him towards a wall.
"Nice save Empoleon! Now, use Ice Beam! Pin it to the wall!" Mason roared out while pointing at Bakugou as he slammed face-first into a wall, intending to capitalize on the situation. The Emperor Penguin Pokėmon heeded his trainer's command and opened its mouth - a medium-sized cyan ball forming in the hollow space. After a moment, it fired the ball out into spider-web-like beams before they all converged at Bakugou's location - freezing him in place on the wall.
~oOo~
"WOOHOO! Nice work, Empoleon! You got it!" Mason cried out in victory, causing the human-sized penguin Pokėmon to turn its attention toward him and smile.
"That's your... 39th rescue!" Mason exclaimed after taking a second or two to count his fingers - surprising Izuku that the human-sized black and blue Emperor Penguin saved the stranger that many times.
"You're 100% getting better at saving my bacon, bud." Mason complimented his fully evolved starter, a smile emboldening itself on his face as he watched his Pokėmon happily waddle its way over to him and give him a large hug with its flippers - almost like a large penguin-shaped dog that was overjoyed to hear a compliment from its owner. The hug lasted for a few moments before it was ended by the gentle sound of teeth chattering. Mason quickly shifted his gaze away from his Emperor Penguin Pokėmon to Bakugou - shivering from his new icy prison. He gently tapped one of Empoleon's flippers, giving the Water/Steel-Type Pokėmon the signal to let its trainer down while he grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and stepped up to the now-frozen Katsuki.
"Y-Y-You think th-th-this s-s-s-stupid ice w-w-will h-h-hold me f-f-f-f-forever, y-y-you little p-p-piece of s-s-s-SHIT!?" Bakugou shouted at Mason through the cold, surprising the trainer once again that the U.A. student didn't pass out from all the abuse he had taken earlier. Nevertheless, Mason simply released a sigh before speaking up to the Explosive Quirk user.
"Oh, I know that won't hold you; not forever, at least..." He stated as he clicked a button in the center of the Pokeball, reveling slightly in the familiar feeling of the ball suddenly expanding from its original tiny and compact form to the size of a baseball. "But I do know it'll keep you still long enough for me..." Mason started, winding the ball back behind him.
"To do this!" The Pokemon trainer exclaimed, tossing the Pokeball through the air before it directly impacted Bakugou on the top of his head, leaving a large red bump in the spot where the ball made contact.
Needless to say, this effectively knocked Bakugou out cold - just long enough for the ball to open and cover Bakugou's entire body with a gentle red glow... before the red lid of the ball immediately snapped shut and fell onto the floor. After a few seconds, a flat robotic voice rang out from the ball-shaped capture device, drawing Mason and Izuku's eyes onto it.
"ERROR - DNA UNRECOGNIZED IN POKEDEX. INITIATING SHUTDOWN. SHUTTING DOWN IN 3... 2... 1..." Right after, the Pokeball's center then flashed red, before the color swiftly drained from it and became a midnight black.
After that, no one in the whole room said a word or moved a muscle. Izuku was still watching everything behind the safety of the large pillar, Bakugou was still frozen on the wall, and Mason simply stared at the now-offline Pokeball that sat idly on the ground.
"Huh... well... that was anticlimactic..."
