Chapter 127:A Child Lost
Back down below where eden and the others where right now they were fighting for their lives making a last stand agains their attackers. Because she was starting to get exhausted from all this fighting right along with everyone else. As she fired back at some thugs that were slowly starting to come less and less but she panted for breath.
While they were ducked behind somes boxes and crate with the others as naca was on the ground panting for air. Because early her aura shattered from all the fighting as she needed a breather before she could get her aura back to continue the fight. As aruna was porividng covering fire with her pistol trying to deal with the apporahcing grimm
Their was also akata firing back with a gravity dust shot making her move slightly but it hit a thug launching them into a wall knocking him down. But another one replaced him shooting at her narrowloy missing her head as she growled
"They just keep coming!"she shouted
"I know right because uh heres a problem i'm out of ammo"kate said with an empty gun as jimmy fired off one more shell as he tried to rack a new shell but it was empty. Searching his pouch he saw nothing their as he ducked behind cover.
"I got nothing either anyone else got any?"he asked
Jay was kneeling behind cover with his sword out shaking his head"nope and i can't exactly just speed out their right now. I'm running low on aura right now"he replied
Calida fired one last shot from her shotgun before ducking behind cover joining them shaking her head
"I'm out too…along with that they took down two of the uras. Luckily we nabbed your sister before they shot her"calida said as piper was next to them scared right now covering her head because all this fighting was now making her scared. As right now pearl was watching over panting trying to calm her down
"Hey calm down…everything will be alright…i hope"pearl said
"That doesn't help with this situation because we need backup to deal with these guys. The others on deck split up to round up the others on deck or help thoe injured"naca replied
Though as they kept trying to figure out what they can do to survive today. Soon enough a small back of grimm where then shredded and turned into a fine dust by a hail of bullet because with her minigun in hand was coco. The fashion monger spat to the side as the remaining thugs and cultist looked at them with jaki firing at them. Along with some tribals and faunus helping him as in the mix was verona with her sniper out
The bat faunus closed her eye looking down the scope before shooting a thug down with an eletirc dust shot as their body consuvled in pain as they fell down to the ground. Jaki froze the ground below him skating forward as he was heading straight for a culsit that swung their sword at him. But he bent backwards underneath narrowly missing his head.
Then as the culitst was stunned he placed a palm on the back of their hand activaitng his semblance. In an instante the back of his head was frozen as he fell forward to be met by someone kicking him which knocked them down to the ground which was sabrina. As they all quickly rushed over to them to assess what was going on
"Jaki oh dear your okay"calida said relived hugging him as he returned it quickly kissing her on the cheek
"Yes my fire flower you know me i would never just lay down and die."jaki replied sweetly as xander rushed over panting right now. Immediately aruna rushed over tackling him to the ground as he groaned laying on his back right now feeling something broken.
"Owwww my ribs that really hurt"he whined
"Thank god your okay xan….where are the others? Jazmine? Blake? Are they okay?"she questioned
"Yeah because uh i'm really tired and i just want to go to bed right now"mitch said panting heavily making xander surprised their with them but got up rubbing his sore side right now as they talked to them
"The others were dealing with abigal guns for hire while we assume their in the command deck. Zoey and saber headed off toward them"jaki replied though soon the sound of banging could be heard
As they glanced up right now to see a certain fox faunus who hit a metal sheet then a metal wall hard. Zoey kept hitting some thing as she went past a pull grabbing onto it but narrowly held onto it. Then the fox faunus lost her grip befor pulemting down crashing into a group of boxes. Akata went wide eyed seeing her right now
"Zoey?!"she called out rushing over toward her with tears in her eyes. The arctic fox could barely see with her teary eyes as she began to dig through the rubble before eventually pulling her out as the fox faunus groaned holding her side with a bruise on her neck and arm.
Akata picked her up gently smiling as her tail wagged around in joy
"Your okay….oh your okay foxy i thought i lost you"akata cried hugging her gently as the women groaned in pain
"If you count being blasted outside of a window from 20 feet in the air then yeah."zoey groaned as she helped her to her feet wrapping her arm around her should right now.
"Alright if your here that mean pyre in the command deck. Where the heck is that grimm knight guy by the way i haven't seen him at all"coco said though she soon got her answer
As soon enough a blinding white blur went passed them at that moment. They all looked toward it to reveal summer their picking herself up with her struggling to put pressure on her right leg because their was a bullet hole in it. Then landing ontop of a railing was xi who stared down at her with his reovlers pointing at her.
"Anti aura metal bullets are useful for dealing with you. Shame that was my only one….maybe mother will want your eyes. Sister sigma loves to collect them'xi said with a wicked laugh after.
"Fat chance you little psycho….because i'll just have to put you down like i did with conri. I'm tried of running away from you freak"summer spat getting in an offensive stance at the ready though xi soon stared at her smirking.
Then he whsilted loudly into the skie seemng to call something as some time passed with nothing happening. But eventually a large shadow loomed over the deck right now before suddenly something crashed down infront of them startling them.
That being a garoyle grimm but it was far bigger than the other ones. As its head had large curved horns with large wings that seemed to cover the entire deck toward the edges of the ship. Because this was the grimm knight pet as it walked over toward its master as he hung upside to rub its head.
"I'll have my new pet mother gifted me to play with you for a bit. Because…"he paused before hoping down to face their group eyeing one person being his fellow hybrid as he raised his reovlers at them
"I'm going to be taking our little sister home to mother to become one with us"he added creepily
Imemdialty eden got up drawing her machetes panting heavily very tired but she didn't care because she lay her life down for her little sister. No one is taking her away every again from her and torutre her like some sort of test tube science experiments.
"You are not laying a hand on my sister!"she shouted in rage at the ready though soon enough the triplet shared a look with each other as riaze nerovusly held her sword
"Sis…we need to do it we can take that thing down if we do it"she said
"She right. Hate to say it though grnadpa and dad did give us permission i mean. Also these guys seem to know already anyway"she said which caught them confused looks from them
"Uhhh what the heck are you three even talking about right now?"mitch asked confused then the older and first triplet sighed rubbing her face before coming to a conclusion staring down the large grimm before them. Along with getting a glance at summer seeing something her eyes for one as she narrowed her gaze
"Alright guess we gotta perform a little trick….they got a silver eye with them. Might as well kill this thing like were met too"sabrina said as the three sister stepped forward then in an instant all three activated their semblance in unsions as a orangiac material covered them
The group were stunned as the orangiac material crawled up each of their skins and body. As kate flinched seeing that because it reminded her of someone else matching that along with aruna jaw dropping right now. As akata linked rather confused on what was standing infront of them right now.
That mainly being the three triplets coated in a very familiar suit of armor right now but they were all different it seems.
As for sabirna heres was light red in color making her have slender appearance as white lines where on her joints. Although from her knuckles something shot out from them that being a bone claw that was pure white that gleaned in the sunlight. But on her face was a stage mask that looked anger always.
For anna the organic amterail on her was light blue in color along with making her have a slender appearance with white lines on her joints as well. Although she also had the same thing happen with her kncukels as a bone white claw appeared from it. Though for her mask it was also a stage mask but was laughing and smiling it seems.
Lastly it was raize who had a dark green organic material on her body with white lines on her joints as well. Their was also how she shared the same bladed claw on her hands with her sister. But for her mask it was a crying mask always crying it seems. This made them all stunned seeing that right now.
Though soon enough sabrina stared at her sister whistling pointing both hands forward toward their target. The two sister dashed forward toward the gargoyl queen which caught xi offgaurd. But he raised his revolver beginning to fire at anna but she kept doding and weaving through his bullets. As she had a very nimble easily moving through his shots laughing a little seeming to enjoy herself right now.
While the queen grimm changed its attention toward riaze who flinched stumbling slightly as she ran. But she quickly composed herself dashing foward as the grimm raised its claws swiping at her trying to snatch her up. But she bent back sldiing underneath its large claws as she sliced at it causing it cry in pain. Then she got behind it as she glanced at her other sister
Anna was design forward as the grimm was distracted as xi tried to dive bomb her firing his reovler at her. But his shot bounced off slightly from her skin though as he got close she bent down before leaping upward flipping over xi who looked confused. As he launched himself into a wall hard as he groaned trying to shake off what just happened.
Then the girl dashed forward as she reeled her clawed hands back twisting in a circle before slicing and slashing at the grimm thick arms and legs causing it to cry in pain. Then it tail moved around seeing the two girl beginning to circle around it. In a swift motion it flicked its tail at them launching a barrage of small needles at them
The two of them did their best dodging and weaving through them the best they could. But the needle splinted up some wood on the ground as one hit anna in the leg punturing her armor. This made her grunt in pain but kept pushing forward as soon enough the two regroup with each other.
Then they touchhed hands monetarily before swapping direction as they spritned forward toward the grimm infront of them. The grimm expected them to be easy prey as it raised its tail to shoot more needles at them. But that was when sabrina struck as she was sneaking around above the creature.
The girl extend her claw before leaping down freefalling toward the grimm as she was heading straight for its tail. Sabrina reeled back both claws as she began to spin her self around with the moneutm as it looked like she was just a blur. Then in an instant the girl went straight through its large tail as the creture roared out in pain to the skies. Its large tail fell to the ground turning into dust.
But this gave her other sister the chance to dash through slashing and cutting into its legs causing to crumble underneath all its weight. As the creature was slowly falling down the three of them regroup underneath it jaw as both raize and anna cupped their heads. Sabrina jumped forward as the two used their strength to toss up straight through its skull
The women went straight through its skull as she made a clean hole through the top and bottom of its lower jaw and cranium. Quickly the other two flipped out of the way as sabrina came falling down but perfectly recovered. The large started to turn into dust as the three stood side by side as the other stared at them for a moment
"Okay now that was awesome""xander commented
"And i'm guessing that would be your brother actually family foxy…they uh got his semblance"akata said as zoey chuckled because she knew she was right
"Guess i was right but….we gotta deal with him"zoey said as right now xi finally picked himself up. But soon was met by verona blade as the bat faunus tired to slash at him through he quickly reocvered dodging her strike staring her down as summer took her side along with coco who spooled up her minigun.
But as he stared them down he glanced at his new pet that he was just gifted dead already in mere seconds. This was enraging the grimm hybrid as he began to growl in complete rage as his back began bulge which was visible making them flinch slightly seeing his skin move. Though soon enough he dashed forward trying to kill them
Xi began to fire several shots from his revolver as the muzzle flashed with each loud shot ringing out around them. Though they quickly got out of the way as cooc held her minigun up delfecitng his shot. But as she lfited it back down she was met by him dashing forward trying to claw at her with his hands.
But the fashion monger was quicker as she used her minigun to block his strike which sent her back a few feet into a wall hard. Because she was exhausted too after all the fighting they had this entire morning.
Then he immediately flew up as he kept flying around them firing at them narrowling missing some but he hit a few of them as their aura flashed. If he need to he'll sink this entire vessel down below to deal with all these vermin. He kept flying around at blinding speed all around the place as they tried to hit him
But he was too fast for them flying around all over the place but soon enough summer channeled into her aura. Then she actvieted her semblance but she threw her hood up real quick as her petals formed around her. But something strange happened as some of them were coated in white hot flames that didn't even burn them. Noticing this was verona who stared at her as the silver eyed women dashed forward.
The women began to chase down xi who kept flying around all over the place. As he kept swiping and dive bombing at everyone though soon enough he glanced back for a moment stunned. He saw a burning ball of petals straight toward him seeing that she had other powers with her.
Before he knew it she grabbed him as she remerged from her petal form grabbing him by the arm on his back. As he kept flying around all over the place trying to shake her off as he slammed his back into a metal wall making her grunt. But she wasnt going down that easy as she raised her sword trying to stab him in the back.
Though he noticed what she was doing as he threw his head back headbutting her in the face. But instead of his back it went stirahgt into his shoulder as he roared in pain. Then she quickly dug it out seeing his wings as she raised her barrel toward them.
Summer shot off a few shots into his wings tearing through them as he roared falling down to the ground. The two tumbled to the ground hard as he fell down with his wings tattered holding his shoulder with black blood oozing from it. As he growld at them in complete rage.
Inside the command deck right now the others where dealing with the others as arrastra was thrown into a wall hitting it hard as she grunted in pain. Then abigal leaped in the air trying to stab her but she saw her coming. Then she quickly rolled out of the way hitting the wall creating sparks narrowling missing her head
The two where exhausted and tired as was everyone else around them as they had some blood on them as arrastra got to her feet.
"God dam just give up pyre!"arrastra shouted
""Nows wheres the fun in that because you owe me for stabbing me bitch!"abiagal shouted back as she charged at the faunus as their weapons clashed
"I'm going to get payback against you and those three for running my plans. I would have gotten praised by my queen. She promised to give me power that would make me inviviable!"abigal cackled pushing back
"Oh you are crazy i mean no wonder sora stabbed you in the back. And why your nephew ran out with those guns!"arrastra shouted back as she allowed herself to be pushed back allowing abigal own momentum carrying her forward making her lose her footing which gave arrastra the opportunity to land a solid strike on her and disarmed abigal of her scimtira as it went flying outside. Saber walked over as arrastra and him looked at her.
"You;ve lost pyre….all of your men are either dead or knocked out"arrastra said
"Really? Because i still got a grimm knight which can kill you all"she retorted
"About that look out the window"saber said as she looked down to see xi on the ground with people slowly surrounding him. Growling in rage she lunge toward them grabbing saber as they struggled near the edge as she pushed him out toward below. As arrastra tackled her to the ground as she restrained her.
Blake glanced out the window seeing the others fighting the grimm knight"we gotta go rejoin them come on"She said as they sped downstairs to rejoin them to help them. But as xi was getting surrdouned by them he was seething in complete rage as guns where trained on him as he heard the click and primming of a hammer.
He looked up to see summer their pointing her weapon at his head"Give up….your done for if you surrender maybe we could just restrain you. But if you volunteered to become a monster then….you know what will happen"She wanted
The grimm knight saw that his forces where all gone right now as he had no where to run with his wings all messed up. But he looked over to see akata helping saber up as zoey leaned on a pillar close by as he smiled.
"If i have to die….might as well make the traditor suffer. "He said before suddenly shotoign up dashing forward before they looked toward his target. Zoey slowly looked over to see him charging directly at her in blinding speed. Time seemed to slow down for them as she stood their frozen in shock. They all were rushing over to help her as he came very close to killing. Though as she stared at him soon enough someone pushed her out of the way as she went wide eyed to see saber their.
Then the fox faunus landed on the ground hard holding her side as time resumed as she slowly opened her eyes. But went wide eyed in complete shock to see xi claws dug straight into saber chest. The man stared down at the grimm hybrid who panted heavily as he gaged coughing up blood. Zoey had tears form in her eyes
"Saber!"zoey called out in agony as the grimm hybrid looked at the man grinning at him
"Why are you smiling?"he growled back before he felt something pressed against his neck as liquid was shot into it. The mosnter looked seeing him holding a syringe as he smiled at him laughing.
"You fell for my trap freak"he spat as the grimm hybrid tossed him back as he landed near zoey as the fox faunus rushed to his side in pain. But she began to place her hands on his chest as blood oozed from his chest with tears flowing down her face.
"No…no…no…no please be okay…why did you shove me…why…why?"she asked finding it hard to see through the tears. As the man just laughed slightly sighing coughing seeing his second in command smiling at her.
"You got alot of life ahead of you kid…and…i rather not have someone your age die. I've lived a good life a-and…you've done good working with the guard for years"he said weakly as she knew where this was going starting to panic with tears running down hot on her face
"I need a medic! Please! Please hes going to die!"zoey called out as emerging from a nearby entrance was blake and the others along with declan and his group. The wolf faunus went wide eyed to see his friend on the ground rushing over as katherine came up gasping before rushing over. Declan slide into view seeing him
"Saber…saber come on man hang on please. We planned to have some drink with fen after were done at havan'declan begged with tears forming as saber slowly reached a hand out as he took it as he chuckled at him. Bastet came over heartbroken right now looking away as lisa stepped up from below seeing him on the ground.
"I'm sorry man….guess i aint gonna get that drink with you. Though kid…got one thing to say for you"he said directly to zoey who closed her eys not wanting to hear him say as tears dripped down onto his chest.
"Shut up…don't talk…save your strength…please don't go."she begged as he laughed for a moment smiling as he slowly closed his eyes
"You did good kid….proud….of…you"Saber said as he slowly closed his eyes as his head went limp. Declan let his hand go in shock as he felt very cold as the man kept his composure trying to fight the tears but let them loose. As katherine gasped with tears running down her face with ghira walking over with a sorrowful look.
But the culprit of his death started to cough and hack right now from what was injected inside him. The grimm hybrid started to gag until removing the flight helmet on his head before reeling back puking out a large puddle of black tar from his mouth. Several faunus and tribe member slowly stepped forward but lilu pushed passed some in rage before pointing a pistol at his head
"You little bastard! Your the one who attacked the village i was stationed at with my husband….you tore into his neck and made me have to put him out of his misery. Have any last word!?"she shouted pointing it directly at his head as he was silent for a moment before finally speaking but it was something else.
"I…the voice is gone…i…everything hurts….it hurts… make it stop…please make it stop. It hurts"xi cried which caught her offguard as the other shared confused looks with each other until vance wobbled over as mai stared at the hybrid infront of them.
"Why is he crying? Seriously that thing needs to be put down is it feeling guilt?"a faunus asked in the crowd
"Lets just kill this thing then we can get out of here to assess who we lost."a worker added
"Do it lilu put a bullet in his head"a tribe member supported with more similar comments coming which started to make the grimm hybrid scared vsibale shaking as lilu stared at him growling ready to press the trigger. Before she did grabbing her wrist was mai as she glared at her
"What are you doing mai? I need to kill him for my husband he took away"liliu groweld as she returned the same glare to her
"We are not going to just kill someone….because i…i…i think hes like my mom"mai said scared actually which made some look at each other hearing that. Summer eyed her sword for a moment before slowly approaching him as she reached a hand on his shoulder
Though this caused him to flinch moving back in complete fear looking up at her but it caught her offguard seeing his face. Because he had light brown hair with ghost white skin like the rest as his eyes were dark yellow. But he had tears running down his face as he wrapped his arms around himself taking rapid breaths.
But some noticed how young he was"oh my god..i…hes just a kid"sun said in shock as some lowered their weapons with others keeping them trained on him. Though someone else looked at him closer that being jimmy who went wide eyed who he was seeing
"Nico?!"jimmy called out in shock as the grimm hybrid stared at the man with tears running down his face scared
"D-dad?"the grimm hybrid known as nico asked as the man rushed forward dropping his weapon. Then he pulled him into an embrace in complete shock seeing his son right now infront of him with a strange apperance. Lilu flinched staring at the pistol in hand then back at him
The man was smiling happy to see his son again but was very puzzled pulling up back seeing his current appearance with tears on his face.
"I…what happened to you buddy….your mom and me have been looking for you for months. What happened to you?"jimmy asked shocked as some just didn't like the atmosphere of this now. As blake was just stunned right now swallowing hard.
'I…i…oh my god…thats his kid….oh no…no…no this is messed up"naca said in shock
"What are we going to do i mean everyone here is just staring. Do…do we um…"aruna paused on the word as her mother just felt hurt because a parent might have to watch their own child die right now. Eventually soon enough from below ella came up as ilia walked over dragging akasha up the stairs since they went to hide. As others follow though ella noticed her husband hugging that grimm knight
"Jimmy! Get the hell away from that thing right now it will kill you"she demanded but he stared at her with tears running down his face
"I..i ella…its…its our son i…i d-don't know what happened to him. But i found him"he said in joy as the women went wide eyed seeing her son face. As tears began to already break as she sprinted over hugging her child in a loving embrace with a shocked look
"I…sweetie what happened to you…why would you do this? This isn't like you…why?"ella asked as nico was crying happy to see his parents again hugging them right now though blake looked toward summer as they shared a look. Because what where they going to do right now.
"Summer….i…what do we do? I…i don't even know what to do right now?"she asked
Ghira was even at a lost for words"i don't know either dear…i just let them have their moment right now. We'll have to get involved eventually at some point"he regrettable said as the small family held each other right now happy to be reunited. Though some faunus had strange looks confused what they were seeing. One of those grimm knights acting normal which caught them by surprise right now confused on what to do right now.
After some time soon enough summer exhaled slowly swallowing hard to step forward. As she did nico looked up at her before his head started to hurt as he cried in pain holding it as someone spoke
"You dam meatsack! You better give me control again or i'm going to rip your parents to shred! Do it now before she kills you!"xi demanded in his head as he had tears running down his face in pain
"Shut up…shut up…get out of my head…i want you out of my head. Get out!he demanded holding his head in pain which confused some as ella looked worried
"Sweetie…sweetie is everything okay please talk. It'll be alright a doctor could help you"ella said with worry as summer with some others by her side stepped forward. Mainly being verona along with mai reminding them of something. The same thing that happened to her with her own mother. They stayed silent for a bit as regrettable mai sighed with a hurt look
"I…sir…ma'am please step away from him…alright"mai ordered but jimmy saw their weapon figuring out one thing getting up in a defensive wall infront of his son glaring at them
"You are not killing my son. I….atlas must have something to help him i mean their has to be some dumb doctor their to make him normal. He only thirteen years old….he won't hurt anyone again"he said not wanting to lose his son as zoey looked up at them with a heartbroken look. She anger that he killed saber just now but just thought about her brother seeing herself in his shoes.
The fox faunus slowly picked herself up swallowing hard looking at her guards regretting this right now.
"Guards….p-please take them away….they shouldn't see what needs to be done. I'm sorry"she ordered choking on the words making her men flinch for a moment. But regrettable them and a few tribemember hesitantly walked over as a couple grabbed ella by the arms who held nico close.
"No…no…no your not going to kill my baby…your not going to kill him. Someone can help him…please…please!"she begged as they regrettable grabbed her by the arms as she was kicking and screaming letting out a blood curdling cry right now.
A few guards approach the man who growled back reeling his fist back punching one in the fast hard sending them to the dirt. As it took a few more to help try and restrain him beginning to drag him away as he growled in rage struggling to break free
"If you lay a god dam hand on my son i'll fucking kill you!"he threatend in rage as some faunus and others looked away at the sight. Slowly summer knelt down with a sorrowful look staring at the child who that witch twisted to match her image. Nico kept crying hugging himself unable to move because his entire body was in pain.
"Make it stop…make it shut up….it won't shut up. It hurts…it hurts….please"nico begged through the tears as she swallowed looking down
"I'm sorry…i'm so sorry but we can't. I know what is inside you and…theirs no way to remove it without killing you. We don't have anything to cure you and…"she paused eyeing her sword making him break into more tears scared now balling up crying and sobbing into his knees
"I..i didn't want to kill anyone…it made me do it. The thing…the thing they put inside me did it….i d-don't wanna die. Please….please"he begged sobbing as she gently placed a hand on his head as he flinched but felt too weak to move as summer slowly raised her sword toward his back. The women was about to bring it down but hesitated on it as her hand shook because….she couldn't do it…he was close to her own daughter age.
As close by his parents where still watching as she still pause until a loud gunshot rang out hitting nico in the shoulder. The source being seth who cheered lifting a pistol in the air.
"I hit that stupid freak right in the shoulder! Lady if you aint gonna kill the thing i'll just kill it and earn me that crisp 15 million"seth said snarky which just disgusted them right now as he stepped forward with a cocky look. As close by kate and mitch shared a look of disgust
"Yeah i mean seriously that thing just killed a bunch of people. Hurry up and kill it before it tears someone throat out"kai supported as the weasel faunus stepped forward raising the pistol aiming it at nico. But he kept backing up scared as his arm oozed black blood at he cried
"It hurts…aghhh…my head…it hurts…make it stop…please"he begged crying
"Oh i will hold still you dumb little mo–"he was stopped as someone tackled to the ground right now. That being xander who began to pumel him into the ground punching him several time in the face. It knocked the weapon out of his hand, the wolf kept punching harder and harder. Until his fist became bloody.
"Xander stop it your going to kill him!"aruna shouted as the young wolf wasn;t stopping. Sun and sombra rushed over praticuarly forcing him off as he growled at the weasel who had a black eye on his face with a bust lip. He spat up blood as his ears twitched in rage.
"Your a piece of shit! I hope you burn in hell for what you just said and tried to do! You deserve to die more than him because he never asked for this! Your a bastard!"xander said in rage as they dragged them away as kai smacked his fist together
"Shut up brat quit being a monster lover"kai threatened but shoving him back was roland who stared him down with a glare. Then other in his group stepped forward with lisa by his side as soon enough some tribe member pushed them away from the sight.
