Chapter 129:Stolen Goods
Right now inside the academy on a nearby rooftop that overlooks the academy high above. The spider where moving fast right now trying to get thing up which drew some suspicion but they had fake documentation telling them that they are a construction crew which didn't make sense. But luckily they could make fake documents just as easily as comminitn crminal activities.
But right now lazuli was staring through a pair of binoculars at that moment overlooking the academy. Next to her was her adoptive sister, bombay, thistie and barney who decided to help them out. The thief was overlooking the office right now waiting for lionheart
"So have you seen him yet kid? Because from what meg said early he hasn't left his office that much since this morning for some reason"barney asked
Lazuli shook her head"not yet. This is getting annoying i mean how much time does one person just spend in their office"she paused for a moment
"Though you two got any tips or the layout of the place"she added asking the two havan students
The two teammates though for a moment trying to recall every little detail of the place along with how its lay outed. Bombay thanfkully had some good memroei thanks to her semblance as she thought for a moment nodding to her.
"I have a pretty good memory. I can't count the amount of times i got in trouble for accidental getting involved with naca and tanners shengains"bombay replied laughing a little
Neo titled her head to side a little more intriuged hearing that as her sister kept watch she decided to ask her something. The mute tapped her on the shoulder
"Whats up neo?"bombay replied
"How was your trip back to havan after you made landing with us back on menagerie?"neo sighed as thsiite glanced at her laughing slightly
"Oh right i forgot you mention you went with their group to menagerie. That must have been fun"thisite commented confusing the mute but figured she knew ASL too.
"It kinda was i mean the first week i was with these guys was well annoying"bombay admitted as lazuli chuckled still keeping watch
"What you find my baby sister annoying or something? Because at times she can mess around and prank you when you least expect it"lazuli said making her sister puff her cheeks up
The mute started to ball her fist up pounding them against her sister shoulder as she laughed waving at her cute attack to stop. Eventually she did as the mute huffed crossing her arms under her bust with a pouty face.
"No not really i well….kinda found it annoying being stuck in vale. Along with well…being very paranoid about my you know"bombay said gesturing to her contact as they guessed what she meant as they explained barney a bit about them. He was trustworthy since lazuli knew him since she was a kid. They used to spend time at lil miss place for their dads business trip and she watched over them.
But he got stuck with the grunt work of babysitting little kids with some teeneager since her aunt dropped her own kids off. Though it didn't stop aunt lil miss gushing over neo despite being a major crime lord in mistral.
"Let me guess you were scared of them figuring out about your eyes? I wouldn't blame you i mean it took you a whole four months to tell us. That was until we found out how our families were very similar to each other"thsitie replied
"I'm assuming you mean the man with two souls?"neo signed
"Bingo…though….it felt nice being relaxed for a bit though i still like wearing these. It makes me feel safe since well…god these eyes just suck. Sure they have their uses but i mean…i…i had a pretty bad panic attack years ago"bombay said which caught them offgaurd thsiite knew a bit but not the whole detail
"What do you mean by a panic attack? What something happen with those eyes of yours"barney asked as the cat faunus looked down thinking about that day she lost it which almost resulted in her hurting someone.
The huntsman and police where ready to put her in juvenile detention which she did for a month. Though they did some background checks showing that she was adopted but suffered from a traumatic event. Then she made a lie up saying it was someone semblance. She really hopes that ruby doesn't experience those side of her eyes
"I…i…had a pretty bad panic attack a while back when i was living with tyra and her family. Someone said something about well my family home being burnt to the ground and…well it made me pissed off. Because walking around the market one day"she paused gripping the railing on the roof tight threatening to splinter the wood
"I saw my dad own weapon on display….someone actually robbed my family dead bodies to sell his sword. Their was even a few other things that weren't burnt i guess…snapped that day. End of story"she finished quickly
It seems that it was a touchy subject for her to keep it brief but they let it go right now. Maybe after twenty minutes of just sitting their waiting for him to leave eventually lazuli noticed the door opening.
"Guys we got movement i think the cat is leaving his little den"lazuli said making them come to the side. Immediately they saw lionheart on his scroll talking to someone right now but they could't hear it
Though bombay activated her semblance to listen in on his conversation. Luckily she has a whole set of people semblance she remembers seeing over the years as a sound like circle appeared over her right hand. Then it started to move as sound came through
"Yes…yes i'll go check on that real quick dear. Oh yes i'll make sure to grab those two new possible students to give them the paperwork to sign for attending out mighty academy. Yes i'll be leaving my office now and be back in a bit"lionheart voice came through making them eye each other
As the lion faunus hung his scroll up beginning to walk away from his office which was their time to strike. Immediately lazuli aimed her wrist mountain crossbow firing off a bolt that went flying onto the opposite side where his office was. Then she grabbed the wire before sliding down using a pair of gloves to do so
Neo did the same following her along with bombay as the two had their own gloves. The three slide across the rope for a bit until after some time they got to the other side. Then carefully she undid the bolt then on the other side barney pulled it up to hide their tracks
The three approached the door seeing it was just a simple lock as lazuli got out a lockpick. The thief placed in the small tool then the little device as she began to turn the lock around trying to pick it. Neo held her ear up to the door as she listened for any type of movements. Bombay kept watch as the two got to work
Lazuli kept moving the lockpick around trying to find the sweet spot to open it up. Though as she did neo tapped her on the shoulder telling her she found one. Then lazuli kept moving the lock pick around a little bit more as bombay was getting a little impatient
"Can you two hurry up and open that thing he could come back any second"bombay whsiped
Then right as she said that a unlocking and clanking noise could be heard. Lazuli slowly opened the door pocketing her tools as she nodded to the cat. Quickly the three got inside the office as they closed the door behind them. Then they stared at the office around them
It was just a simple little office in design along with that it seems that their was nothing wrong with it. Though they needed to find the artifact so they could open the vault tonight if they have to. Because they'll need to be prepare for anything at that moment.
"Okay search everywhere in here the artifact gotta be in his office somewhere"lazuli ordered
They all got to work searching every nook and crarney of the office space. As lazuli began looking through the draws right now wondering if he was stupid enough to put it in their. But she kept going through each draw hoping to find it but nothing was their. Only some documents, paperwork and some hidden booze. He must drink when he stressed
As bombay began searching the nearby shelves for anything as she just stared at a bunch of knick knacks or pictures on it. Mainly picture of a younger lionheart with some others mainly one being a younger ozpin, ironwood. Along with another showing a younger qrow and raven by his side. Another was him in a suit smiling as bastet was next to him in a wedding dress as she walked down the aisle.
"You guys said that bastet women with you is his daughter right?"bombay quickly aksed
"She is from what sis and the other said. They tried to kidnap her….my guess to use her for more levrage. Common KD tactic"lazuli quickly replied continuing to look around
Though with neo the mute eyed something right now that being bookshelf right now but one caught her eye. That being a book on the man with two souls thinking about something. Reaching out she pulled the book as a clicking noise could be heard
The bookshelf had a small space start to open which caught the other two attention. They immediately walked over to see a small safe hidden behind the bookshelf, cliche as ever to hide things
"Okay we found the safe lets crack this bad boy then we can see if its in their"lazuli said about to crack the safe. Though something caught her eye that being a slip of paper, she picked it up seeing a set of numbers on them.
"Huh guess hes pretty forgetful to put this here"lazuli pointed out making bombay looked confused for a moment. But they turned the dials on the safe for the code before a click could be heard. They opened up the safe to see what was inside. That being a evenleop along with some lien cards and coins. Their was a picture in their along with a gun but one thing caught their eye
That being a sakura flower neatly placed on a small pillow. The petals where pink on the top with the white on the bottom petals. Though in the middle where the pistol was a shiny pink looking gem as they studied it.
"This has to be the flower…okay neo you got the fake we made?"lazuli asked as the mute brought it out. Last night neo spent some time making one of her fake little object since she speiclizes in fake ID along with fake good over the years
Quickly swapping the two out bombay placed the real one into her pouch as they put the fake into the safe. They closed it then sealed up the secret comparemnt ready to leave
"Okay where done now lets–"bombay stopped as someone spoke to her in the earpiece
"Guys hide. Lionheart and two others are at the office right now hurry!"thisite shouted in the earpiece. The three looked around for anywhere to hide before settling in on a small spot behind a chair. But quickly neo created a illusion to hide them making it seem like a normal corner. The three held their breaths as the unlocking of the door could be head.
Then stepping inside was lionheart with two others who looked normal in appearance. Though as they step inside the lion sighed in relief
"Their i got you two inside. Now you may take the artifact back to your mistress then i can have my wife back. Correct?"lionheart asked as one them a women began to manically laugh for a moment
"We will but we need you to come with us to give her you"the women said but it sounded familiar as the man scoffed crossing his arms
"Take the dumb mask off right now for a moment. I'm sure theirs no camera in here because well…we need to discuss business"he said before he removed his face as it undigizted to reveal scar watts then rosemary removed her with a psychotic grin on her face
This stunned the three of them as neo was about to gasp but bombay covered her mouth swallowing hard. Though lazuli narrowed her gaze eyeing her crossbow on her wrist to attack them but didn't want to risk it right now. As the two talked with him
"I…i what do you mean by that? You said if i gave you the artifact then i'm done…you promised"he said as rosemary wagged her finger
"We told you to also take that blonde bimbo. But well the knuckleduster can handle that for you now luckily"rosemary evily said
"The psycho is right. Because we still need raven for the vault shes the other part of the key. Along with that we have pyre and xi trying to deal with the faunus hopefully kill them."scar said making them flinch
As the mute was starting to freak out a little hearing her girlfriend might be dead. This cuased the illussion to flicker for just a second revealing them catching lionheart offguard as he slightly went wide eyed. The three noticed him staring at him but he kept his composure it seems
"Well i mean…your dealing with a whole island of people which is challenging. Along with that ghira an old friend of mine back in the day. His team was excellent for my academy…still amazed he became a cheifitian"lionheart said with a forced smile confusing them as neo managed to get the illusion back up in time
As rosemary glanced behind her where he was looking but shrugged her shoulders humming like a maniac. Scar then approached the lion desk as he eyed the picture on the desk of him and sekhmet holding lavi in their arms.
"You know…after we leave your to come to the camp we have established later tonight. We'll send someone to grab you to see if this little artifact is the real deal. Because if it isn't then….that little girl will be fed to kiyo pet."scar said before leaning forward
"It loves to eat some faunus meat besides those with silver eyes. Selket does love to collect them…though i do recall something about your student"he said pausing before thinking of that student
"I recall how you have someone named bombay sage…she has silver eyes"he added making bombay eyes shoot out of her head he knows as she covered her own mouth to keep silent. This made the headmaster weary
"I told you the students here are just…suspcious since the fall happened. I mean….i…why bring her into this?"lionheart asked as scar grinned at him
"Because well selket said she wants to have fun with those hayley sister. Making the blonde watch as she torutres her own sister"scar said as something seemed to snap in rosemary who growled grinding her teeth together before scratching her cheeks like something was itchy.
"Can i just go out in that dam academy and kill them….that little bitch took my father stinger. She deserve to suffer…just pluck her little limp off one…by one till she begs for mercy or apologize"She said laughing and giggling for a moment like some sort of maniac.
"No….we are only here for the artifact but well for some reason selket wants those two for her self. She really wants to do what she did to that other cat faunus when conri brought him before our mistresses."scar said making bombay seethed in rage as she had tears running down her face
Lionheart eventually walked over to the bookshelf before it revealed the safe. He did the combination pulling out the fake artifact before walking over handing them it as scar placed it in a small metal container
"Their you have it…now if you'll excuse me i'll…do that other task you wanted me to do. Come along i'll escort you out"lionheart said as the two put their disguises back on as they walked out of the room with him by the door. Though he glanced toward the corner for a moment before mouthing something to them as they read his lips.
"Please stop them"he mouthed before leaving the room. The three stayed silent for what felt like forever before they immediately dashed out of the office then ran down the hall for a bit. Then they luckily ran inot thsiite and barney who had raven by their side.
"Their you three are we were worried sick if you weren't going to show up"thiste said
"Well…we…we thought we were caught but uhhhh well…seems lionheart had some guest. "Lazuli said panting and huffing but raven had a question if they had something.
"Although do you have it?"raven asked before bombay reached into her pouch to reveal the artifact in hand. For some reason raven could feel a pulse through her body like she has a connection to it. The spring maiden held the artifact as the pistel in the middle glowed as she touched it. Then she smiled at them
"We have the artifact….all thats left is to deal with their reinforcement tonight. Then we can figure out when we'll open the vault"raven said as they began to head back to the others to tell them the great news right now.
But early in the day with nadia and her group they followed mars to the location of the speakeasy. As they arrived at the location to see the club right in front of them with a long line of people outside. Along with guards in the front with a bouncer.
Though they were camping out a nearby rooftop that already had a chair along with a box their. It looked like a small alcove was hidden on the rooftops that provided them the best spot to recon the club out. As right now tyra had some binncoualrs scooping the place out as they talked.
"So this is the club they own….dang this place looks even better than junior"yang admitted
"Don't let him hear you say that. Because everysince he got into town they've been after his business like crazy. Attacking his boys, threatening him. But luckily hes got the spider protecting him since their close friends"mars explained
Nadia chuckled"yeah xiong is a good guy. Him and torch knew each other when his dad was starting to join the gang. Though he may be a gang leader hes got a soft spot for one thing"she stated making them curious
"That would be what exactly let me guess kittens"tyra joked making them laugh slightly
"No well little dogs since he can't help himself. Though he really hates slavers i mean him and lil miss may be crook. But they can't stomach that crap"nadia growled as mars looked away for a moment which perun noticed
""What you help deal with selling people or something? Because their gang are known for three things mainly. Their ruthless and will attack anyone, second their the biggest drush pusher in the city. Lastly…"he paused eyeing the club from their spot.
"Their also slavers that deal in selling people and faunus"he added making them eye him down wondering if this ally of their has had some dealing in slavery. Which made nadia not start to like him since he has a criminal past. Though she had to fulfill a few favors for the spiders since they did so many for her wasn't her best moments.
The man looked down messing with his ring on his finger sighing heavily at the accusation
"Nah…..told them they could use me for roughing people up if they need me too. Slavery was out of the question or….well lets just say i'd let myself go lose in my guardian form. I could tank rockets in that thing while beating most of them up"mars growled as he clenched his fist in rage because he hated working for them for the past decade.
"Right. Though what are we going to do because once the others get the artifact. I mean how are we going to take this place down."cardin questioned as they thought for a moment before yang thought of something
"We could just have the spider assist us. I mean it put the academy at risk but we can cripple this place then hopeful they got the relic"yang commented
They agreed on that as soon enough tyra noticed something. That being a limo pulling up at that moment as it drew some of the people in lines attention. Though opening a door was a guard who opened it to reveal micha and micheal walking out of it. With their arms wrapped around each other with another person but they where in a cloak obscuring themselves
The girl coudln't tell who they where before she whistles to the group catching their attention before gesutring down below.
"Seems a private limo pulled up with some couple along with someone in a really dark looking cloak. Who wears a black cloak like that out in the open"tyra commented as she handed mars the binncoualrs to get a look
"So you know those guys down their or something?"perun asked as the man looked at the three entering the place but gagged seeing micha and micheal kiss each other on the lips. The man held his breakfast back continuously gagging for a moment which confused them
Because they all saw the two kiss from this distance though why was he even gagging?.
"Uhhh what you sick of those two swapping spit or something i mean you have a wife man"yang joked as the man pounded his chest holding the puke back for now.
"Sorry ughh if your wondering who those two are their micha and micheal gemini. "Mars stated
"Alright what do you know about them? Semblance? Weapons anything in particualr to take care of them. Because they might be trouble if their in the building"cardin asked as he thought for a moment to respond
"Their actually both under bosses with my ex wife that makes three. Their are five in total but those two run two different business for them. While jenny runs their club micha runs their….special business of selling services in bed"he said making them find that disguting to hear
"Ughh that just nasty i mean who would wanna run that type of business"perun commented
"What about micheal whats he do?"nadia qeustioned
"Him hes their braniac of the group. The guy is a tough fighter but he keeps track and tabs on the books. Pretty much the accountant since he runs rackets that make people here pay them for protection money. They don't do any of that obviously"he added
"Alright but what about their semblance or weapons. Do you know that guy in the cloak it seemed like the same one lionheart might have met"nadia asked
"My bet a grimm knight….we gotta be careful not to start trouble in their right now"tyra mentioned
Mars thought for a moment racking his brain on what he knew about them"okay for micha she carries a pair of revolver that are single actioned. Their pretty fast and she can draw them just as fast. Micheal carries around a shotgun but they both actually share a semblance"he said which confused them how they could share a semblance
"Wait how the heck could they even share a semblance if their married or whatever"cardin asked a disgusted look came to mars who gagged heavily on what he was going to say
"Their both brother and sister. Their romantically involved with each other"he answered hesitantly making cardin eyes bulge out of their head at that moment
All of them stayed silent for a moment hearing that little rleavation those two are siblings. That both of them are dating which means their having relations with someone by blood. As immeildialty this made them all gag themselves.
Yang covered her mouth fighting the urge to puke or even think about that sort of thing. As cardin felt something hot in his throat before turning to a part of the rooftop upchcuking his breakfast right now. With perun covering his ears from what he heard.
Tyra looked horrified right now just hearing that right now as nadia jaw went slack with a very disgusted look.
"Why the heck would they even think thats okay?!"perun shouted though tyra covered his mouth as some people down below glanced up but continued their day like it was a daily occurrence.
Cardin was fishing whipping his mouth panting in disgust at what he just heard"come on man…what next you gonna tell us something worse?"he asked as he looked down with embarrassment.
"Uhh their both twins"he said with a force smiled which didn't make this sound remotely okay as cardin excused himself to puke yet again. After they were all done puking their guts out at that moment they decided to try and get inside to scope the place out more.
They all began to get down a fire escape which lead them to a nearby alleway. Though once they got down their waiting for them was junior with a few of his men on standby just incase they needed backup.
"So what did you all see up their?"he questioned as some of the teens shivered
"I don't know figured out two of their under bosses are dating each other and are siblings"perun said making the man shiver himself with his employes gagging themselves at that seeming to know of their reputation
"Aye the creepy twins are in their….thats just great right now."junior said in disgust at the thought of them
"I know right….though uh wos going inside. Because i mean they have to know you twos face since his wife works their"tyra pointed out as mars sighed crossing his arms

"Thats just great…though should we really bring xiaolong in their. I mean they might just take her when she gets near the place"cardin commented
"Thats why i asked junior to tag along on our way here. Because cardin, tyra and me will go with mars right here. The rest of you head back to the academy to make sure everyone is ready and completing their task already."nadia ordered
As they nodded yang and perun went off with junior and some of his men back to the academy but kept their guard up the entire time. While their group decided to approach the front entrance of the club to get inside.
The group started to approach the club as the bouncer along with the guards by his side noticed them. They began whispering seeing one face in the group mainly being mars who stared them down. The bouncer approached the gorup laughing slightly.
"Well…well…well if it isn't the boss ex lover. What come crawling back to take her back or something. You hear for a job?"the bouncer taunted as he growled at them
"I aint here for a job let me inside now. I need to talk to jenny about something…and their with me. Because if you try to stop me i'll break both your legs unlike like time. Got it"he threatened as the bouncer stared him down before he glanced inside for a moment
Then he just let them pass as they stepped inside which surprise them though the thugs and bouncer shared a look because they were suppose to let them through
Once they were inside the club they were met by a strange sight right now. As the club was very busy with people all over the places enjoying themselves a nice meal or drink at the bar. Their were several decorative table that where themes around the 1950's along with the staff wearing certain attire
As they stepped inside cardin saw how skimpy the waitress where dressed though as she delivered a tray of drinks to some knuckleduster thugs. One of them slapped her on the behind making her look scared as they laughed enjoying themselves. He felt disgusted how this type of beahvior is allowed here and how they treat their employees
Though their was also several slot machines on one side of the club with some poker tables as well. As right now a dealer was playing twenty one with some customer but only one of them win making the loser groan in disappointment. Several people where spending alot of lien on the slots to win big.
As near one side of the room was a stage with a bad performing a classic showtune like song that set the atmosphere. While the singer was a women who just kept signing her tune trying to entertain the guest here. But tyra could tell their was the smell of smoke in the place
"Man is it me or does this place reek of tobacco?"she asked
"Your not the only one try having your sense doubles. Ughhh i can smell a bunch of drunks that pissed themsleves i think from the bathroom even"nadia commented plugging her nose
Soon enough they reached the bar as the bartender was serving people drinks. As it wasn;t as busy as the rest of the place. Their were several different type of drinks on the wall along with a picture of jenny sitting their on a fancy decorative chair like she was sitting on a throne.
Once they got over sitting down the bartender noticed the four right their but kept cleaning down a glass
"What are you doing here mars? What here for another job because of your wife having leverage on you?"he taunted making him growl as he clenched his fist
"Just here for a drink right now….i want the usually"he demanded as the bartender did as he grabbed a mug before filling it with a tap. Then he handed him a mug full of beer with foam on the top of it as he began to take a drink of it. Though the bartender soon got back to work as they drank
They began to scan the place for a bit for any sigh of those three that walked inside.
"So what now because all i see right now is a bunch of slot machines and people eating?"Cardin aksed
"For now just scoop the place out if where lucky we can evasdrop on their conversation. Along with that we leave in 3 minutes don't gotta stay here long"he replied though the sound of foostep could be heard as someone called over
"Aww you don't wanna stay and say hi to your old flame my love. I'm shocked i thought you came to say hi"jenny said walking over making them jump slightly as nadia reached for her recover. But soon a pair of claw where placed on her neck from behind being the cloaked individual from early. As a few thugs came over with their own weapons as micha and micheal where behind jenny.
The women grinned at them as mars growled standing up"i aint here to say hi. Though heres a warning…"he paused before using his semblance partial to make an armblade appear placing it near her throat
"Stay…away….from my wife…and kids"he warned making her grin at him as she began to laugh at that threat. Then went into full blown laughter crossing her arms before placing a hand near her mouth sighing
"Thats just funny because well…i don't think thats going to happen. Because your going to listen to me right now"jenny demanded as nadia scoffed
"Oh shut up. Because for starters we aint doing that have you friend here let me go right now"nadia demanded though the cloaked individual started to sniff around the place before he sniffed near her hair creeping her out as he spoke
"You have brother omega scent all over you….so your the traditor caretaker. His new mother will want him best keep quiet or i might slip"Eta warned as she growled being told that as the crimeboss stepped forward toward her ex husband pushing his blade arm away slowly.
Then she gesuted with her head above as he glnaced up at something which startled him. That being his daughter julia holding her brother aether in her arms with a confident look as he growled seeing that
"Julia! You little….i….your so grounded right now its not even funny!'he shouted as she walked away with the sleepy aether as the women turned him back to her by forcing him to look at her.
"Now now dear….their in safe hands. Heres the deal because you might want to do it. You bring that xiaolong women daughter here tonight after we close. Because if you don't i'll feed little aether to my pet shark. I haven't been feeding her much as of late and she hunger."jenny threated making him go wide eyed wiehging his option scoffing nodding to her.
This made eta let nadia go as they escorted them out of the building shoving them out. Once they were they walked down the street for a moment as tyra breathed a sigh of relief
"Oh my god that was grimm knight….i was ready to piss my pants"she admitted in relief
"Well…this…sucks. Because their holding your kids hostage and they want yang. What do we do?"cardin asked as the tiger thought for a moment before deciding they should go back to the academy.
"Lets head back to the academy to tell the others the new problem. Then we can come up with something their"nadia said as they nodded in agreement following her back to the academy to break the news to the others right now.
But at the academy right now in the dorm room where they kept emily was onxyia along with a few others. The wolf was catching her friend up on what she missed along with talking for a bit to pass the time. Because they did some work helping the spider early but needed a break right now themselves
As emily was still in the clothes she was given laying in the bed exhausted as the wolf sat on an opposite bed. With zephyra sitting on another as adam was standing by the doorway with paddy keeping watch for anything that might happen.
"So your telling me that my baby sister was trapped in a sewer for a whole month. And a grimm infested city?"emily asked as they explained where jae was
"Yep. because i thought i lost her, aka, my brother and uh…my…boyfriend"onxyia said as her tail began to wag making the gecko faunus mirk at her before reaching over stroking her tail making her blush from the touch
"Awww thats just cute. You finally found someone after whining and whining about your traits and eyes."emily cooed making her blush even more
Adam gave a chuckle"if i also recall as kids you always got in spat with seth and his friends over your traits.
