Chapter 31: Need Truths IV: Media Examples And Medical Truths IV

"But I'm your go to guy now, but in between trade deals…" he said and they nodded smiling. "Look if a full soldier can't get the job done, then a scientist can, that's what we need from you now. "Yeah I can do that easily, but the trade is drugs money, jewels, and seeds of food and clothing, that can be good bartering material, when 3/4's of the planetary population are in the colony ring." he said and the IOA nodded. "Then you cover that, and take as long as you need get to study to your heart's content." She said and Daniel nodded. "Yeah okay so lousy hours, constant peril, away for weeks on end, and my family always endanger, or excellent pay, great hours."
"No explosions, no spec ops officers ignoring my opinions, and getting to study to my heart content, yeah no brainer here, I'll take the job, I'm not a soldier. I'm a scientist, I want to return to the living, spoken history without hearing a god damn gun go off anymore." he said and the sextet nodded smiling. "And you will, the SGA is trade, science and exploration, and frankly why need to use that gun, when you have telekinesis, kiddo." Kwan said smiling and he grinned.
"Take care of him, Mitch, Shen, Russell, he's all your's." Hammond said and they nodded smiling gently and Sam paled, realizing her idiotic decision. And Jack's attitude resulted in his taking that job without thinking twice, they were just friends, but no longer team mates as a result. "Wait a second a few months maybe, but we need him here." Jack said carefully to that remark and Daniel turned and Sam felt her heart sink, realizing this was a repeat of that exchange.
As he blasted the quintet across the room, and the sextet of IOA reps nodded. "Dad, guys, I'm retired from the SGC, if they want to ignore my opinion, and walk headlong into danger. Or ignore morality for the brass ring, they reap what they sow here, as I'm not now. Nor my teams, are saving them from their own stupidity starting now." he said and they went pale at that, realizing that was code for 'screw you, and go to hell', now, in the actions speak louder finally.
Then words remark, and the Joint Chiefs all nodded sternly to his decision. "I'll take that for a 'screw you, you just want me here, so you don't walk back in there, one. And 2), you just need me for translations, but that's all you need me for, well screw you right now. You can take your objection, and shove it where the sun don't shine, I'm not under your command. And anymore, so go to hell.'." Faxon said sternly then and they started shaking, realizing he read it correctly.
"He can go to help for I care, Shen, Russ, Jean, I took the job 4 years ago, he can't keep me here, I'm under orders by General Landry." Daniel said and they nodded. "Got it, and after seeing that, yeah we agree with you, you need a new start, but that attempt to keep you here. That's a cheap shot, as we see this, as they want to protect themselves after killing Sha're." Chapman said sternly and they all paled at that remark, realizing thy made their choice then.
"No what you need him for, is to protect your sorry ass from walking into my country ring, if you just exercised some common sense, these things would not be happening!" La Pierre shouted at and he went white then, realizing once again they got caught, in their thinking. And even the IOA had enough of his and Sam's clinginess, if Daniel wanted to leave that was fine. They had no authority to keep him there, his currently being a civilian, as Daniel said it sternly then.
"That's not up to you Colonel, my father is in charge, it's his decision." he said and Jack swallowed hard. "But you a bird Colonel, them, 2 to 5 star generals and admirals." he said and he started shaking, realizing with his ranking, they could countermand any orders. That he himself gave, and Daniel was taking that order no question, when Hammond. He was not only his father, but also a 2 star general, as he went further sternly and he went white than shaking.
"As for your remark, Colonel, on you needing me here, after what you did over the last 6 years, you claiming I'm a traitor, you don't remember. In what you chose to black out now, what you said, but your alter ego finally forced me out. And you have the audacity to say that now, I never hated being in this rat hole more than I do now. As just when I think things are going to be different, you become a hard ass again and we got a wargame." he said sternly and said it.

Was it that that you finally realize you been duped and humiliated me in public. Or when you never listened and I had to kill in cold blood and I left to get my head together. "That…, that's why the sextet are here, they're your boss and team as an archeologist?" Sam asked shaking, realizing they made a big mistake and Jack paled then, finally realizing. His alter ego did enough of a job on him he reached his limit. "But you idiots did enough of a job on him, he's a shadow of himself here, the talented, kind man he was once right now. That if being with us healed his heart, then who are you destroy his emotional progress?" his second said sternly and he went white. "I didn't mean those things, I.." he started to say and he cut him off. "Didn't you, Jack?" Daniel interrupted, his voice tight. I know you think that I don't respect you, but I do, I don't want you to leave SG-1, at the SGC we need you on the team. You're too valuable for us to lose." he said and Daniel finally turned around to look at him, his eyes ice cold to Jack, and what he saw there in the archeologist's eyes made his heart sink like a stone at that remark.
"Dan, brother just say it, you're too close to me and the trio to even unload it, and had to, to Dr. MacGregor." Anna said and he nodded. "Guys huddle, baby, guys, you too, the sides are drawn here now." he said as the quintet surrounded him. "Sarah what's your opinion here, if this means after I start at the SGC academy, if the General becomes my father?" he asked her gently and she nodded. "Stick to your own kind." Bishop said gently and Raynor nodded then.
"Daniel, you been representing us for 8 years, including when you joined her team at the time, in the total hell of what being military ran with civilian help is like right now. So you're saying it for us, all of us, we're not going to take this anymore." Dr. David Hamilton said sternly and he nodded as Dr. Bill Lee crossed his arms and Jack paled. "Agreed Daniel, you just say it for all of us, enough is enough." he said as Catherine and her technician team surrounded them at that.
"Agreed, this bastard is a trouble magnet, I watched that show from time to time, not realizing it was broadcasting your life in clear detail to us after Hathor." Raynor said gently and Sarah nodded to that opinion. "Agreed, we better move shop to the dome. The University can be called the SGA College Of Archeology And Anthropology, so I still do what I have been. "Agreed, Anna and Kevin are more at risk then Dave and I are, with these lunatics, but you're better off at the SGA, bro." Warren said and he nodded. "Lou, Charlie, Rick, Dave, I'm sorry Guys, but this is for the best, I can't do this anymore, just when. I think things are going to be different he turns back into the hard ass he was when I ascended. But it's the only option here now I have to leave, I'm a simple archeologist, but a civilian archeology has no place here now."

Daniel said and Lou and Charlie nodded as they felt their hearts break and they both looked at Jack angrily at that and he swallowed hard at that. "We understand man, but we love you, not letting you go, if this means we stay friends. With you in the other department, all for the best, just keep in touch." Charlie said and he nodded gently.

And when the bloodwork shows a completely different story to what she claims here, but once is enough, I'm not doing that detox a second time." he said and Sam went white at that news.
"Issues in this job, but a civilian archeologist has no business being in a full military team, and not when our job is of better use on doing trade deals and what we were trained to be." Bishop said in response to that and Raynor and Sarah nodded in agreement. "Point taken kids and you're absolutely right, what's the point of being in a full military team. If they won't take your advice and keep doing things their way." Jordan said and Mac nodded sternly in agreement.
"But there it is, but attachment is forbidden, possession is forbidden, compassion, which I would define as unconditional love is central to being a medical doctor or just an any scholar. Of our ranking, so you might say we're encouraged to love, that detachment now here. It has no place in being a scientist, but watch it with the lab-rat status, before we turn the tables. "Oh boy now you done it finally, but his real kind are us medical department, our fathers are all medical doctors, and David and Annie are archeology like he is. And her mother is like his own, his own kind are the 25 archeologists right there, and they all. Now, couldn't be more disgusted with you then right now, as the show shows in clear detail your attitude towards him." Lou said sternly and Jack swallowed hard at that, realizing they all were ready to kill him for this abuse.

But the fact he knows your peers on sight, he risked getting shot and his shoulder dislocated to protect us. But can't he have a break without you little brats coming after him." Mac said sternly at that remark and he went white at that.
"You think I would ever let you near that child, to further vocally abuse him now, you did such a good job in forcing him out, he was happy being a simple archeologist. But no, you had to come and destroy his emotional progress, in emotional therapy, you are certifiable?" he asked dangerously and he started shaking in fear. "Or me if I was still alive and he came to me, to get reunited with me, Sarah and Steven, to heal emotionally." Jordan said and he swallowed hard.
"Valuable?" Daniel said in a dangerously quiet voice as Hammond crossed his arms, as he been waiting for this, knowing Jack was the sole cause then. And look at the situation from Daniel's point of view, that Daniel was simply following orders and he shot him down, as Daniel continued, his voice shaking with repressed tears. Was that a display of how valuable I am to you?" he said and Sarah smacked him across the face and he swallowed hard as Raynor and Jordan looked at Sam and she paled then. As Jack almost cried out from the pain caused by the archeologist's statement, then, realizing even in his absence. That his alter ego refused to admit his own weakness, and immediately turned it around with this scientist's help.
As this example cut deepest of all, and of the things he'd done to hurt Daniel, leaving his friend in that mental facility had been the worst. For as long as he lived, he would never forgive himself for not pursuing every possible cause. And for what was happening to his friend and leaving Daniel alone in that awful place. And what made it even worse was the knowledge that, if their positions had been reversed, Daniel would not have rested until he found out then.
And what was causing the illness, he would have instantly believed that something unknown and deadly was the cause and tried to fix it then. And he would never have left Jack alone in that place unless he was going off to find the answers, to help his friend. "How can you stand there and say that I'm valuable to you when you're rarely willing to accept my advice. Or recommendations without acting like you're pissed about it?" Daniel raged at him sternly then.
"It's become abundantly clear to me that my knowledge and skills are of no value to you except for my ability to kill the enemy. When I try to explain something to you, you turn a deaf ear. When I attempt to reason things out, you have no patience to let me work. You'd rather I be a good, obedient soldier who does nothing but follow orders than a thinking. Feeling human being who only wants to do what's right!" he shouted at him and Sam swallowed hard at that remark.
"Daniel, that's not true, I…" Jack started to say and he cut him off then. "Shut up! Just shut up!" Daniel screamed, his chest heaving. "When was the last time you told me that I'd done a good job, when was the last time you really appreciated my abilities as an archeologist and a linguist? And when, Jack, when did you ever tell me that you valued my friendship, that you actually gave a damn about me? Where was that so called friendship every time you hurt me."
"And with your words, with your lack of respect, and trust, and faith in me? I died, Jack! I was lying there, dying, and you couldn't even tell me how you felt about me. Instead, you called me a pain in the ass, then oh so grudgingly admitted that maybe, possibly, you might have admired me just a little. Well, thank you so very much, Jack. Those are just the words that a man dying in agony wants to hear!" he snarled and he swallowed hard as Sam paled at the memory.
As Jack staggered back as if Daniel had physically struck him, certain that, if he looked down at his chest, he'd see a knife sticking out of his heart. Daniel's last words had cut past every last one of his defenses and pierced straight into his soul. He felt like the worse kind of slime, Daniel was right he wasn't a friend, nobody would hurt a friend like he'd hurt Daniel. "I've had it, Jack, I've had enough, I'm tired of being verbally beaten up, of being ignored, ridiculed, insulted."
"And made to feel like I'm worthless, but you're on your own, once we reach Omac and Narim, I'm leaving, as everything the secretary asked for is my planning now, first 19 worlds. And nothing, before 26 more and nothing and now we got a returned system lord back on the loose. "You over sized fluffball, I thought I said never to call in without sending hard surface pebble through circle first!" he said bemused and they got a meow in response, as a rock came through the gate and landed on the ramp in response then. "Cats, did everything backwards, instead of doing that, he calls in first, then sends that rock through." Warren said laughing at that and Raynor also started laughing at that. "You over sized fluffball." Dixon said with a chuckle then.
