Chapter 132:Not a Monster
Once they reached the dinning hall it was bustling even more with the influx of despardos who were hunger from a long journey which surprised some of the faunus here now. Though quickly blake and company grabbed some food sitting down to catch up and pass the time as they got a table big enough for all of them.
"Its so nice to see you again old friend oh how long has it been since we last met?'kali asked as port chuckled
"It would have been dravan funeral although i hear hes a family man now. And that he thought he killed his niece honorable for going into isolation"port paused glancing at someone
"But more surpirsed to see you miss rose reports claimed you were killed in atlas. While the branwhen siblings searched for you"he added
"Well sometimes rumors can be wrong though i'm just nervous on when this journey ends. When i get to meet my daughter and my….husband"summer replied shyly
"I find it surprising still that you two are you a thing but hey we learn something new everyday"mai added getting comfy

"Wait…are you two a thing or something?"sage asked as the monkey wrapped an arm around his girlfriend.
"Yep just started going out after i got shot in the gut and she thought i was going to die. Meet sombra taupe"sun itnroduced but nezumi went wide eyed choking on her drink coughing as celeste slinked down in her seat which they noticed
"Whats up with you two all of a sudden? You know that guy or something?"nolan asked stupidly as the spider eyed both declan and sombra for a moment until it hit the wolf on who put his friend out of his misery from what he heard
"You killed diego didn't you"declan asked with slgiht anger as the women closed her eyes preparing to get hit but instead she was hugged as he released her
"Thank you…their might have been a way to save my friend if we got to him on time. But that isn't the option…hes at peace now"declan somberly said as sombra stroked her tail looking down.
"Yeah…still…hurts to hear my dad was alive….moms hurt but shes keeping her tough girl act up. Did he say anything about me?"she asked hopefully as the spider didn't expect this as cleste stepped up.
"No sorry kiddio though i could show you umm him when he was you know normal"she offered to their shock as she pulled her orb out holding it in her palms
"Wait…you can play people memories on that little orb you lug around?"xander questioned as she nodded setting it on the table.
"I can. My semblnaces takes random memories sometimes or ones i've viewed before. A couple of them being well….a couple screwed up tests or exercises that the grimm knights went through"she mentioned with a scared expression which worried some of them.
"Ummm how bad we talking because i'm new to this and now i'm scared"scarlet asked
Vance gulped hard as his ears twitched"please don't tell me you have the memorie of–"he was stopped
"No! Because i removed that thing the first chance i got from my archives just got some combat test and well…a little kid getting a needle in their neck. Thats pretty big"celeste advised relaxing them now as others wondered what they meant. They began to talk for a bit though aruna got curious with the orb wondering if it shows any of those military missions her cousin boyfriend went
Everyone was distracted as she grabbed it as she tired to find a way to turn it on. Until after messing with it for a bit annoyed soon sienna noticed her messing with it
"Aruna drop that right now before you–"she was stopped before suddenly the orb brusted into light as it soon displayed something which caught everyone in the dining hall attention beginning to mutter between themselves as some stared at aruna who smirked setting the orb down.
"Sorry"she apolgized meekly
Celeste groaned"kiddio seriously don't touch things without permission because good going i have to wait for whatever you played to be over. It better not be a little kid being beaten"she said which made lilith freeze
"What are you talking about? And what do you mean by memories?"she asked as the ones who knew eyed the others who didn't as vance sighed
"Memeroeis of my cousin though lets hope its nothing sad"he said forgetting they were in a dinning hall as soon the orb displayed something that most never wanted to see again the city of vale in complete destruction right now. Though what blake noticed immediately was the owner of this memorie looking very worse for wear that being zane who leaned against a wall for support as he was beginning to go into a coughing fit before coughing and puking up large quantities of blood. This starteld a lot of them
"Okay what the heck with the guy puking blood….that messed up"nolan stated
Jaki sighed"that would be my daughters leader who is alive and well. Free of those blasted mental suggestion"he said but that was when yumi eyed xander for a moment because he looked terrible.
"You guys didn't say he looked that bad seriously he looks like hes on his last legs"yumi asked as the wolf rubbed his arm
"This wasn't how we found him because he looked much worse than this….seriously try imagining someone with a bunch of bruises,cuts and bleeding from the gut and leg"xander reminded as verona noticed one thing his leg was fine
"Uhhh well his leg looks fine to me. Though wonder what we'll see"she added as it showed him standing up straight before grabbing a syringe injecting it in his neck gaining a new course of vigor before he cracked his neck sprinting off into the city as distant grimm howls could be heard in the distant.
In the memory it showed him running though the destroyed streets of vale as grimm roars could be heard along with people running away from any grimm chasing huntsman and huntress with atlas and despardos were holding them off the best they could as they kept swarming them right now.
Though right now in the memory one science played out as a manticore roared in the midst of fighting someone that being a huntress. The huntresses was in the middle of slashing at it with a axe but seemed very sluggish along with being heavily injuried. She kept swinging at the beast but the large cat tanked the hits. The girl then lunged forward with one swing winding it up as she gave out a war cry burying it into the grimm leg as it roared in pain
Flapping its wings the manticore then swatted at her sending her flying into a nearby wall digging her axe out of his ankle. This caused her to land very hard against the wall as she slumped over gasping for air as her arm bleed heavily. Until someone called out to the girl.
"Lapiz!"a female voice said in the memorie but in the messhall right now was a certain crocodile faunus who step forward toward their table confused that being roland. The man stayed silent as in the memory it showed his daughter struggling to stand up contiosunly coughing up some blood as the grimm stalked foward toward its new meal.
The grimm got close enough as it opened it maws ready to bite down on her but a shotgun blast went off as a black and blue blur went by scooping her up. The grimm looked confused expecitng a meal but found nothing to feast upon as it growled toward the theif. That being zane panting heavily holding a pump action shotgun in hand. Then he gentle set lapiz down who kept coughing for air as he cracked his neck going into something some havent seen in a long time his slasher form.
He changed his stance in an offensive stance as he transforms the shotgun into a axe as he easily held it with one hand. Then he flicked the axe backward firing off toward the grimm as it tried to bite him but with the momentum he sped past its strike. He went underneath it as he slashed at its legs with his armblade and axe causing it to roar in immense pain as its leg gave up underneath it. This resulted in the grimm kneeling down as he quickly jumped up burying his armblade into its skull but it was still alive roaring in pain
Flipping backward he pressed down on the trigger launching him forward as he sped down its back slicing it in half as he landed on the ground molting his armor off as the grimm turned to dust. Then he began to approach lapiz as some others regroups that being her teammates with other but immediately roz pointed her weapon at him
"Step back you dam freak….move another step and i'll blow your brains out"she threatened as some eyed the current her who felt very embarrassed right now.
"Okay so this isn't weird seeing you their making threats. Your the type to always be cheery"nolan said
Dandee rubbed her neck as her tail swayed"well come on roz over here can be a bit rude sometimes."she replied
"Y-yeah…but…um kinda funny how were here and i have to see this day again"roz said sadly with tears forming as zydra pulled her over rubbing her back
"We did all we could for her. Least her dad got to see her again"zydra replied but close by someone soon spoke up
"He actually saved my little croc before she was eaten by a grimm"roland asked stepping forward startling team LRZD right now as roz jumped screeching a little as dandee ready herself for an attack as zydra looked surprised to see him here.
"M-mr diles?"zydra asked as he eyed the group as she expected him to be anger at her but instead the man smiled at the three
"That would be me its nice to see you three since the funeral. I take it your here to help with havan?"he asked softly as they were stunned by the response slightly
"Umm we are….but.. You know what nevermind"zydra replied quickly although someone soon decided to confront them on what is playing out right now that being a certain weasel
"So is this some stupid flim you idiots planned to use to try and make that freak faunus who loves a monster sympathetic. Man this is just pathetic"seth said laughing a little with his cronies and a few faunus joining him right now. That made a few glare in his direction
"Oh look its the weasel who got his ass handed to him by my couisn boyfriend. Thought he told you and your cronies to back off"sombra growled
"Hmm no because like he'll go through with that dumb threat. Because the guys just some murderer"ava smugly retorted as some found this annoying
"You know if my cousin heard that he probably whoop each of your butts again. Heck maybe even break his hands again"Vance said pointing to mitch who surprisingly looked toward his uncle and his cousin teammates confused
"Hey you three were on my cousin team right?"he asked to some surprise as roz stepped forward looking at the floor
"Yep that us team LRZD….without our leader…who i should have protected."she sadly replied as he then aksed something shocking
"Did this really happen or are you all messing with us right now? Because right now i'm very confused"he asked to some shock as a few faunus decided to pitch in
"Yeah because seriously that thing helped kill my firends back in vale. And right now this has to be fake"a male faunus asked
"No way that thing didn't kill anyone it killed that bot or whatever. But the news reported that it helped kill people"another added
"How do we even know this is fake because for starters this might be someone smeblnace"a third added although soon some despardos stepped forward

"Yes that how it works how i used to do things in the military. Several of you can even confirm it i'm sure"celeste replied though suddenly a male soldier stepped foward annocuing something
"She right and well uh this actually happened"he stated catching some people attention as seth rolled his eyes
"Okay merc you get paid to lie or whatever"he smugly aksed before the merc pointed at someone in the display that being him as he then ppinted at himself
"I was their you little punk"he growled back though the memory continued as zane stared down at the group pointing their weapons at him as he sighed turning his back to them
"What you too chicken to try and kill us you dam freak?"an atlas soilder taunted
"Yeah because all we gotta do is shoot you in the back and one of you grimm knights are dead.'a male student added aiming his rifle at him but he turned back with very tired eyes asking something
"Any of you see the other hayley heiress who goes by eria hayley. She come through here?"he asked which made the hayley parents looked shocked right now that he was looking for their daughter the entire time in that city to bring her home.
"He…he was looking for my little girl?"calida asked stunned right now as jaki looked surprised himself seeing his current condition because he looked terrible.
"Did…did he actually look for her the entire time while in that city?"jaki asked completly shocked as sun and his teammates eyed each other.
"Uhh duh said the same thing to us after he saved neptune butt from a griffion"sun replied
Sage chuckled"you mean how he came down screaming like a little girl. Seriously that was priceless"he added
Summer sighed rubbing her arm"well a leader will always look out for their teammates like their family. It seems he wanted to do one last thing before he made a final stand"she replied as both of the hayley parents felt very content seeing this and hearing that right now as jaki was a leader himself he understands the burden. The memory had dandee step forward with a heavily injuried zydra wrapped around her arm barely concise with a bloody side right now with a crude bandaged.
"Nope sorry we haven't seen her…but….roz grab lapiz. We gota get medical aid or were screwed"she said as soon a loud grimm roar could be heard as it then revealed several grimm probably measuring in about forty to fifty grimm prowling down the street and the neaiboring courtyard. This caused the group of survivors to tense up right now though zane stepped forward dragging his axe on the ground creating sparks
"Get to the airdocks now….i'll hold these dam things off"he said pulling his bandana up bearing his fangs as heisantly they rushed away as he stared down the large amount of grimm snarling at him right now. Before anyone knew it he began to rush forward toward the horde of grimm as some found that shocking
"Do not tell me that the clown of beacon took down that many grimm"emerald asked surprised
"No way someone could take that many grimm down he had to have ran away at some point. Right?"jazmine asked intently watching now as to some shock he jumped into the fray as he began slicing his way through grimm hacking one head clean off. As he dodged one strike as they began to circle around him jumping at him as some tried to feed on the nearby corpses dotting the area. As he dodged a slash froma beowulf he flicked his wirst chopping off one its arm then quickly cleaving its head in half.
Then pressing a button switched it back to a shotgun as he dashed foward pumping in and loading a new shell. Firing it off he blasted a grimm with fire dust pellets as it roared in pain as he kept getting hit with his aura flashing each strike as he kept dodging and firing back at them. As each shot rang out he placed the barrel underneath a grimm jaw blowing its head clean off.
Switching back to the axe he side eyed a nearby grimm dragging away the dead bodie of a women as he growled leaning back with the axe before throwing it as it flew forward. It flew through the air heading directly towards it target that being the grimm nailing it in the head killing it.
"Hey you dam freaks if you want something to eat i'm right here. Fresh meat!"he called out as the grimm snarled deicidng to overwhelm him as he smirked under his mask. Quickly he unhosltered a pair of pistol with extended mags as he tiwlred then aiming them at his prey. Immediately he got back into the fray as he began firing off into the swell of grimm in the mix. As he domed one in the head stunning it then he jumped and dodged out of several strikes before fisnihing it executing it in the back of head.
Then he kept blasting back any grimm that stood in his way contsiounly blasting them back. As he then rushed up a nearby car swinging from a lamppost as he jumped onto a grimm back as he buried both barrels into its head firing of several shots killing it turning it into dust. Then he hoped down off the grimm sprinting to reload
Pressing down on the eject button he quickly ejected the spent magazine as he dug through his pouches tossing the two full clips in the air. Sliding on the ground he moved the pistol in a fluid motion as he placed both magazines into place as he holstered them. Then he quickly grabbed a new weapon that being a chain like sickle weapon that was in the hands of a dead huntsman. But he began twirling the blades as he tiwlred around tossing a blade into a grimm skull, then he dug it out pulling it out killing it.
The next thing he did was mow through about eight grimm hacking and slicing them in half as more kept chasing him down as some started to come down from the alleyways. Eventually he met one thing that stood in his way that being an alpha uras who roared at him swiping at him sending him flying into a building hard as he visible cried in pain.
Slowly he picked himself up coughing for a moment then pulled his mask down spitting blood onto the it back up he stumbled hard crying in agony but he punched himself in the side with a loud crack being heard.
This caused him to cough up blood but he spat to the side before switching to his titan form as he smacked his fist together as the uras snarled at the stubborn prey before it. The creature lunged forward to chomp down on his head but as it brought its paws down he caught both of them in his hands. Then he growled like an animal putting pressure on the beast paws causing it to roar in pain. Zane then twisted his body flipping around it pulling its arm back as he began putting pressure onto its back making the uras become in immense pain.
After some more pushing he started to break through its thick hide as its stomach buldged slightly then he roared pushing more until he was through. The alpha uras stood their with a gapping hole in its chest as zane stood their covered in black blood and entrails as he wiped it off. The grimm whined before falling back disappearing into dust as he turned toward the other grimm moving his skin pulling out a set of dual swords as he continued the fight against them. As more of them started to swarm him now as he was fighting off a horde of them
While watching it some of them coudln't even believe what they were seeing as zoey was at a loss for words. As blake coudln't even imagine how many grimm died that day to him. While some were just awestruck or even impressed
"Okay are we seeing things or did that guy seriously kill a bunch of grimm like its nothing"nolan asked with a slack jaw
"Your not seeing things because seriously that is so cool. I wanna fight off a bunch of a grimm"aruna said starry eyed
"Heh heh no…kid the best you could do is a baby nevermore. And it still would beat you"yahto teased making her frown in annoyance
"Hes got you their uh…yeah i can't come up with a funny girlfriend nickname. Come back to me"Xander said embarrassingly as he drank some water
Loki was completely starred eyed right now"dude i haven't met our new cousin yet but seriously this is so cool.'he said

"Uhh if you count xan over here finding him half dead in an alleyway contisounly coughing up blood. Even when he got to the safehouse he kept coughing up blood saying he gotta keep searching for any survivors"jae answered peeking some interest but seth wasn't impressed
"So what this guy took down a bunch of grimm that easy for me"he boasted as sombra rolled her eyes
"Sugg shut the heck up because seriously you can't even handle one by yourself. You'd use your cronies as human shields"she spat
"Shut up taupe because for starters at least my dad wasn't some genetic freak. Seriously i feel pity for you"ava taunted making her growl as nezumi glared at the girl cracking her knuckles
"Kiddio shut your dam trap i had to put that man out of his misery. Thats his kid….i'd suggest you shut your trap"nezumi wanted
"Or what?"she asked smugly before suddenly a knife was pressed against her throat scaring her as her tail drooped to the floor of the ship. As several of the despardos stepped forward glaring at her.
"Or i'll teach you how we despardos teach punks like you a lesson."she warned as the girl nodded backing off as in the memory for what felt like minutes hours even it eventually stopped with him standing their panting heavily as he dropped the broken axe in hand as he had sweat beating down his face.
But what happened next was him beginning to round up the dead bodies around the place. As he dragged them to the middle of the courtyard as he gently placed them them closing each of their eyes. Their were maybe nineteen of them in total but he returned the weapons of the fallen soilers and hutnsman that died that day. Gently he placed the chain sickles from the huntsman he borrowed them from in their hands. Then taking a nearby tarp he covered their bodies before doing a quick pray.
"May you live on peacefully in your next life…i'm sorry i did this. Least I could do is make sure your families get proper burials. Watch them beyond the veil amen"he said sleintly but the orb amplified it making some starting to reconsider the hybrids reputations right now.
After a few seconds he stopped standing up grabbing a flare twisitng the cap lighting it off as he waved it around in the air for a bit. Then dropped it as he began to leave as the memory finished their.
The orb faded as this got alot of people talking right now.
"Okay cool as that was lets get out of here before people start asking a bunch of question"sun stated
"Smartest things you've said don't know whats going on but seriously this little show attracted a bunch of people"Scalret pointed out as more people where in the mess hall but as celeste was about to snatch her orb someone stopped her…sienna
"Hold on…i think we should watch another"sienna said to their surprise
"Why do you wanna watch another one right now because granted surprising to see that what happened in vale. But why?"Calida asked as the bengel hummed with a small grin
"Well don't you hear people maybe having a new light on my partner son. Because this might solve a future problem"she answered which confused them

"I don't know…lets see that time in the lab he was…maybe um…nine years old. A little kid…who got tortured and experimented on. Rember"celeste reminded firmly but sienna and some shared some looks especially kali who didn;t like the sound of that but this might solve a future problem as she regret saying this.
"Dear please just play it…and it might show a few people here some closure. Most of the brnahwen tribemember here was friend with melissa that lancer knight. And her daughter is here"kali softly said gesutirng to mai who was talking with others as celeste soften her gaze.
"Theirs also uh our family we knew diego for a very long time my husband knew him as kids. Along with his wife and daughter being here"katherine added as this was what tugged her heart strings as she took a deep breath going through her orb finding it as it displayed it again catching the crowd interest but to all their shock it showed something other saw before a little kid in an integration room with athur watts, conri and sangie.
"What the hell is that freak from the fall doing their?"a soldier questioned

To her horror she looked to see a child in the midst of being tortured asked the same question and begged for his family. "Oh…oh my god…what is this? Why does he have so many bruises….why is their a shock collar on him"she asked scared

"Declan…what in the name of rmemant are you doing here? Because…that is a child…god"lisa said in horror as it showed conri slamming his head down telling his family dead and he was sold to them. As jaki looked at his wife who looked down upset as he pulled her over.
"Dear….don't tell me you.."he didn't need to finish as she nodded just leaning up against him for comfort. Eventually enough to some horror it showed sangie beginning to beat the life out of him several as alot of people in the hall averted their gaze seeing that. Along with some of them looking horrified at what their watching confused and started to murmur. But lilith just started to break down crying laying her head down
"I'm so sorry….i'm sorry little sister….god i'm such a coward….why didn't i take him in. why…why?"lilith cired choking on sobs as bastet noticed her crying as she placed a hand on her back rubbing it. As several people were shocked at what they just saw.
"What the hell is this?!"a tribemember shouted in horror
"Why is their some weird video of a little kid getting beat by that psycho that was on our island?"a faunus questioned
"You think its that grimm knight called omega?"another added as several of them started to talk thugh what surprised some it didn't end.
"Wait…it…its not over…it ended right their but what goings to happen?"coco asked worried as zoey hugged herself looking away from it
"Whatever it is better be them treating his arm….i don't want to see him get beat again"she cried as soon they arrived at a door as sangie swiped a keycard on it opening it then tossed him inside to five people with very grimm like features on their body. As this surprised some right now was seeing them but instead of their normal behavior something shocked alot of them. As a familiar sabertooth growled at her as the kid was crying holding his broken arm on the ground.
"What the hell did you psychos do to the kid now?! Why does he have a broken arm?!"diego shouted catching his wife offguard covering her mouth seeing her husband right now as sombra stared in complete shock
"Dad?"she cried as sun smiled a little petting her back in a cirucalr motion as sangie had a mocking look
"Hmmm oh i just broke his arm after biting me besides his aura should help it after we gave him a booster. But he gets a break for oh….a couple days should heal by then"she said with a wicked grin as the man snarled lunging at the door but the door closed shut as he pounded on it roaring in rage
"You god dam psychos! When i get out of here i'm going to rip you to shreds for all the peoples you've killed!"he roared in rage as eventually aarne got up before taking him away from the door
"Calm down taupe….seriously i get it your pissed but now we gotta solve this"she said gesutring to the crying kid holding his broken arm right now.
"It hurts….i wanna go home…i want momma"he cired and cried as zoey covered her face fighting the urge to cry right now. Though soon enough a familiar women stepped forward with a lancer stinger walked over.
"Well you all are lucky i know a thing or too about medicine. My little girl dumb boyf….scratch that husband now. Who had a little girl named iris"melissa siad catching her daughter in the rooms attention as tears came to her eyes
"Wait…m-mom?"she asked teared eyed as the brnawhne tribe members started to murmur at the sight of their old friend.
Diego finally clamed down"well then patch the kid up because that jerk beta cracked my ribs last week…i think"he replied
"I could if i had both hands….psychos replaced my arm with a giant stinger remember?"she retorted as that seemed like a problem as summer noticed one person she hasn;t seen before step forward the centinale knight
"I unfortunately can't either on the account of them keeping my arms in metal cuffs. Though i could offer wisdom"he slyly replied but his face was still blacked out

Well looks like some people might be changing their tune toward the grimm knight known as omega. I wanted to keep this till atlas but i still will do it maybe. But still i know i'm focusing on zane too much...main charater. Thanks for reading.
