Chapter 134:Making Landfall
Inside the ship right after a couple hours after the cafeteria incident. Alot of them were in the recreation hall right because in about three hours they'll be arriving in havan to meet with the others to help stop the white fang. But they'll need to land a little close to the city walls to make it their on time. Hopefully they arrived on time when the white fang got their.
But most of them where getting ready right now but some the despardos agreed to take the refugees away from the ship. As they had them pack their things up but all of them where preparing for when they arrive in the city. Though they were just talking for a bit before they continue
"So you two are friends….i can hardly believe it"yumi said in a monotone voice. Because sun and loki both looked like carbon copies of each other.
"What come on me and him have known each since we were babies. His sister even baysitted us"sun added
"Yep good old big sis hectate…shame she is stuck in atlas running her coffee shop"loki replied
Yama was on her side with an annoyed look even being in the same room as her brother it seems right now.
"Least auntie is with her…probably being weird like usually."yama groaned
"How is she weird because uh you spit web in his face early. Thats weird…what can you shot it from your butt"sombra joked making the girl blush backing up slightly from her right now.
Sage chuckled a little"well i'm more surprised to hear your the michsious monkey girlfriend. Seriously i though neptune would have gotten one before him. On the account of dating that ice queen"he said
"Princess ice queen get it right sage"coco reminded as faba laughed at that little joke
"Well i mean winter was a bit of a ice queen back in the day. But hey shes a swell girl right now after deck taught her the meaning of fun. "Faba joked before glancing toward nezumi staring at him rolling her eyes remembering her days with that girl and the others in her bunks.
"Ahhh winter though still your all very lucky we got here on time. We had to scramble what we could to come here in time. Used our bullheads that are clocked in at mock right"the spider replied as yumi laughed sighing happy to see her old friend and heist member
"I'm happy your here ingram. I mean i heard from someone you got a girl number even. You call her?"she asked making him blush at that right now as he rubbed the back of his. Aruna had a grin on her face
"Awww did you and vera sweet talk with each other over your scrolls"she said making a gesture of her kissing someone as he blushed even more covering his mouth sighing
"Well uh i…well i asked to make a quick stop their when we dropped verde off. I got to talk to her and well…i…uh had a small date with her"yahto admitted making his panda friend tap him on the shoulder happy for him
"Bout time man. Oh me, you and falk are lucky we won the bet guess who hes dating right now"yumi asked
"Uhhh i don't know"he replied as the answer was quite shocking
"Hes dating weiss schnee"she answered making him go wide eyed as celeste jaw dropped right now upon hearing that. Along with nolan who was caught offguard by that as alot of the new faces where caught offguard an heiress is dating a guy like him

Emerald chuckled sighing"yeah they know. Seriously it was funny seeing some military commander tease her little sister. Though hey it was nice to have something like that. We might not even get that in the next few hours when we make the landing"she replied
"Yeah though uh are you guys just gonna march with us or something then leave."coco asked the two siblings as asaka was on the ground playing with a stuffed fox right now on the ground. While watching over her was megan who was gushing over her little niece
"Awww i haven't seen you in so long still little asaka. Its still very nice to see my husbands nieces and nephew"megan said happy
"Same to you auntie though uh for your question we don't know. It depends on our mom since well uhhh…."yama paused on what to say because of what she saw early as celeste glanced at aruna for a moment
"That you all saw some little kid getting beaten the life out of them. Because sorry i didn't get to choose what memories came from that kids nogging. But in my opinion because i don't know i suggest you stay to help us fight against these guys"she commented making someone close by mainly being sabrina who came to watch over her cousins staring her down
"Sorry lady aint your choice. We follow our own little way because were continuing what we were doing in mistral. "Sabrina said as loki was about to talk but shot him down with a glare as he slinked down keeping his trap shut.
Though soon enough walking into the room was eden holding her sister piper who was feeling better right now. But she was holding her big sister very close right now not wanting to let go.
"Hey guys guess your having a party in here right now"eden joked slightly
"Sort of though hows your sister doing her fever break"jazmine asked before some eyes landed on the grimm faunus stunned seeing her. Roz jumped slightly dropping a water bottle as zydra was busy checking over her dust as her jaw dropped
"Gah! What the heck is with the freaky little bear?!"she shouted making the little girl scared turning into her sister direction
"Whoa weird why does she have white skin like those weird grimm guys. Is she a grimm knight"loki stupidly asked making his best friend bonk him on the head
"Uh dude no seriously guys chill out. Shes perfectly fine and docile i mean she wouldn't even hurt a fly. Though she can control like uras or whatever"sun stated making nezumi flinch a little seeing her but remember what she was told about this girl.
"Thank god this little kid didn't go through that messed up stuff i saw back in vale. "She thought to herself before slowly stepping forward making the girl sister back up glaring at her thinking shes going to hurt her.
"Easy their bear ears. Spidey aint that much of a jerk shes relative harmless'vance said making some of the despardos stare at him as he noticed them
"Yeah shes really harmless…maybe not in the sheet when she gets her claws on you"one soldier joked
A male soilder laughed sharpening his knife with a stone"shes right because the captain is a vicious women. But maybe the kid over here could conquer her in the sheets"he joked making the women growl as her tan skin felt hot
"Drop the chatter now. Get your gear ready for when we make the drop on the city. Now aint the bloody time"neuzmi wanted as they backed off then she exhaled before getting down on her level softing her gaze sighing
"I…i aint gonna hurt her just….shocked actually right now. How old is she again?"She asked as the girl looked down upset
"Eight…and i don't wanna hear anyone tell me to go kill my own baby sister. I'm getting sick of that weasel faunus and others telling me to kill her. Shes not like the rest of them"eden slihglty cried as zydra sheathed he sickle crossing her arms looking down chuckling
"Eh well guess some of those guys aren't bad….that uh other guy who saved our skin didn't kill us. Though um…guessing someone did the same thing to her"she hesitantly asked making her flinch as she nodded just holding her sister close
"I don't want to talk about it…can we please change the topic to something else"eden said sitting down as she set piper down. As the uras faunus stuck close to her sister making faba stare at her chuckling finding her a little cute.
"Well…hmmm pretty hard to think of a topic on hand."faba admitted
Akata tail swayed as she sat crossed leggs"i can't come up with anything either….uhhhh i don't know what do you think been going on with those guys in the academy. I mean they have been seting up a defense they must of had some fun"She said making them try and think of the possibilities for a bit

Nezumi hummed"well heard from the horn a couple of my buddies from atlas are their. So i bet that we run into beidou and paddy remember them brann?"she asked as behind her was brann who shrugged his shoulders
"Maybe be pretty nice to see those two again. Told me you met cho and wags….man sucks they had to leave for a mission. I would've gotten drinks with em"brann commented knowing those two atleisan
As they sat their for a moment nolan thought of something that he heard from his best friend
"Oh may actually is dating someone right now"nolan announced catching some eyes as most of the soldiers went off to do their own thing but it made them invested
"Wait as in that sniper girl with the beanie from school?"Dandee asked
"Yep her. Thats kinda funny because that means mainly everyone in the group their is dating someone now. Funny"aruna joked though yumi sat their confused because it made sense as she stared at naca for a moment
"Hey uh naca is anyone in havan like your team or anyone else dating anyone their?"She questioned which made them stare at her

"I know but uhhh the obvious little detail in that is literally all of them are dating someone their. One i'm sure that only one person single on team RWBY, jaune wouldn't wanna date anyone"she stated making them relaize that
"Right merc and rogue….uh…um yeah no one else is coming to mind. That doesn't really make sense"emerald added
"Well just ask him who she dating simple problem solved"yama pointed the obvious out as the metal legged boy thought for a moment on what he was told nodding his head
'Right she said she was in a polymary relationship with like three other people"nolan answered as it didn't hit for a second
"That sounds nice to hear right….wait a minute."akata said pausing right now as they sat silent for a moment. Then coco bursted into laughter holding her stomach right now because she figured it out. As some of the rest did.
"You have to be kidding me….oh my god…seriously?"aruna asked laughing right now
"And now i need to learn a certain someone ways on getting a bunch of girls to dig him. Lucky jerk"sun added making sombra tap him but he smiled at her as she sighed.
"Kid what is with your cousin because now he would have like three girlfriend now'nezumi said directly to the lynx as the rest of them figured it out right now with loki eyes beginning to twitch in annoyance right now.
"Come on! I have not met this cousin yet but hes got a bunch of girls chasing him! Seriously hes just like auntie pana that weirdo!"he shouted in annoyance as they laughed at him right now
"How is she weird because i don't know whats going on. But i'm laughing from what ever happening"dandeee asked laughing herself as sabrina groaned because this so called cousin of hers is just like the rest of their family.
"I have an aunt with like two wives and a husband that lives in atlas. Not surprised since people in our family allow that"sabrina causally said making them stare at the graves family for a just a moment
"Dude thats weird because what next someone here gonna say they like velvet or something"emerald joked which made eden blushed slightly as piper was staring at her siser confused but wanted to ask her a question
"Do they know you like the pretty bunny?"she cutely asked her sister blush, making vance turned facing her as his jaw dropped with akata staring at her. Immeidialty the bear zipped away leaving her little sister their puzzled as coco shrugged her shoulder
"Meh guess she needed to go use it….or be embarrassed. Besides lets all get packed up for when we march to havan. Onward"coco said as they agreed it would be time to get ready for when they march on havan soon enough
Although across the way right now walking in the halls was xander who was very nervous about something. Because they would be landing in a few hours then they would be on their way to havan to help stop the white fang and their many forces
They were passing by the medical area right now as he looked around seeing everyone busy. As they were gathering what supplies they could with the new arrivals help. They began loading them into pack and making sure those that were injureid yesterday are in good shape.
If they need to they planned to keep the ships far enough away from the city. Along with that maybe if they don't succeed which he hopes doens't happen at all when they head off to havan. That they have evac ships at the ready for anyone that might be left behind he knows the feeling.
But with him was his parents as they were trying to help psych himself up for what he was about to.
"Dear are you sure we should do this right now before we make the landing. I'm starting to have second thoughts"katherine said
"I understand that dear. But i've known tom a log time you even deliver the same boy that he had. And tragically lost to that maniac we took it."declan said standing his ground
Though xander ears flopped over completely as he rubbed the necklaces around his neck very close.
"Dad are you sure…they might actually hate me. They could even ummm attack me if hes gets that mad at me"xander stated worried right now but his father wasn;t
Declan gently placed a hand on his shoulder giving him a confident as he had hope in his eyes right now for what will happen
"Son i know that your scared of what might happen next. But know this i'll be their incase anything happens alright. I was their for your sister when she came back grief stirken herself do you remeber what happened when she came back. What you did?"declan asked
This made the wolf try to think about what happened that night a year ago hard for a moment before it came to him as he nodded
"I saw her crying….how you two talked to about something she did. I didn't know until the next day but all did was hug her and say everything will be alright. Then she didn't want to let go saying she should be dead. But i argued with her saying then mom and dad would miss you…i would miss her."he said before relaizing hes in the same situation sort of right now.
Eventually they soon arrived to where the two adults where as tom was strapped on some armor along with that he had a shield on his back. Their was also how he had a sword sheathed on his side. While amy was packing up some pouches with ammo and dust in them
Before long the two noitced the three wolf their as amy smiled at them"oh hello you three. You here to help us set up for when we march on havan?"she asked
"Maybe declan here to make sure i'm top shape. Because well i uh heard what happened yesterday you dealing with saber death alright?"he asked making the man inhale then exhale for a long moment nodding
'I'm absolutely heartbroken that we lost so many people yesterday for this cause. But at the same time i'll grieve for him when where done here. I want to make sure we stop anyone else dying that include any of the other kingdoms. Our island may not be apart of them but i still don't want others to suffer"he said stocily as the cat chuckled patting him on the shoulder
Then he turned toward xander with a grin across his face
"Though word is that your boy also finally caught himself a girl. Bout time i though you swung for guys or something"tom teased making the wolf feel embarrassed as amy laughed
"Come on thats enough dear. If our little ben was here you'd do the same thing to him. But go on saying why hans't he found that special someone yet"she said as the man nodded looking down with a deep thought
This made for an akward silence right now as xander ehxaled slowly thinking on how to start this. As he shifted around his neck before clearing his throat to the two to get their attention
"Something up kid?"tom asked confused as the young wolf parents stayed close incase anything happen. Then he slowly brought something over his neck as his hands kept shaking with every movement he made. Until eventually he pulled it off to the two shock to reveal their shock necklace in his hands
"I…dear…how do you have our son necklace? Did he gift it too you before he was….dragged along by those terrible faunus at that dust shop"amy asked with a glare but he sighed hoping he doesn't get punched
"I…i took it from him because i…i was their the night the dust shop robbery happened"xander said stunning the two for a moment as tom narrowed his gaze at that moment
"Why were you their? Because don't tell me that spider faunus dragged the two of you along on that dam robbery. What he head to signal and tell you to come along saying they were doing something fun"tom asked with a slight hint of anger in his tone
Xander held the necklace close to his chest already expecting the worse judging by his tone right now as he sniffed
"No…he didn't drag him along…i dragged my best friend on that stupid dust robbery"he finally admitted making the two parents stunned as he took their silence for him to continue.
"We…we were just walking around in vale for our day off. T-then we…we saw ollie and i said hi to him and we got to talking. Then he…he mentioned how we could make something of ourselves for our people"he continue with tears starting to break as the two cat stared at him as declan hoped for the best right now
Xander could feel his throat closing up right now but he choked for a moment"i…ben told me we shoudln't have listen to him. That it was dangerou…i…i didn't listen to him telling to live a little. I…that night we arrived their…the owner their saw us…i…had a gun in my hand…i shot him crippling him. I've already made my peace with him…i wanted to tell you in person that.."he paused before swallowing hard as he reached his hand out holding the necklace toward them
"That its my own fault my best friend died…i watched him die becasue i dragged him along on that dumb hiest. He got scared…which made o-ollie shoot him…i'm so sorry….i'm sorry"he finished crying a little right now
It was utter silence between the two families right now as xander just hoped they make it quick with their argument. Because they will be arriving in havan soon and this just might make them try to kill him to get some payback for losing their son. As the wolf stood their silent for a moment soon enough something happened
But instead of punching him in the face or slapping him upside the head. Instead he felt the gentl embrace that was from amy who had tears running down her face as she held him close saying something that shocked him
"I..i don't blame you for my baby being taken away from me"she said which caught him by surprise staring at tom who crossed his arm looking at him sighing.
"And i don't either. Because from what i'm hearing is saying that you feel guilty for dragging my son along on that thing. I'm mad hearing that you convinced him it was right but.."he paused closing his eyes then opening them
"But your just a kid you didn't know any better. That maniac spider faunus always creeped me out with him around. Honestly i think he was the start of becoming a psycho for his age guess i was right. Hes willing to kill his own kind to get his point across. Becasue next time i see that little brat…'he said smacking his fist together as he cracked his knuckles with a loud crack being heard
"I'm going to hang him by his threds till his necks snaps"he added
Amy sqeeezed him a little tight"our son and you were always so close i'm sure you would never harm him like that. I…it hurts so much still our baby boy is gone but if you do think its you fault you shouldn't. Out little ben wouldn't want his one true friend to think like that. He talked so highly of you at times saying how you were likes brothers"she stated as the young wolf stood their as they stayed in silence for a moment
Then he cracked burying his face into her shoulder beginning to cry his eyes out into her shoulder as he consoeld her. After a bit of time he stopped separating before placing his friend nekcalce around the women neck
"You should have this to remember him for who he was. Because…i plan to help stop this attack along with ollie and his forces. We can't loose any more people"xander firmly said as the two families just talked for a bit to pass the time till they land
Meanwhile another hour passed by as walking around with each other was verona, ryuu and naca. Because of one thing they were suspicious of right now. Mainly being summer rose because she been very weird lately. The main reason being on how she know so much about the maiden and their powers on how they work
The only reason someone would know that is if they are an expert in the field. Along with that she was curious about the other reason she might have went into hiding. It makes sunse that she wanted to protect her family. But if those grimm knight just keep going after her their has to be a reason why they keep chasing her down
"Okay so you two gotta agree with me that summer is weird. Like how does she know this much about the maiden?"verona said as the two nodded
"I know because the only other person i know that well versed in their powers is rae. Everysince they did that machine thing with her and haru a while back"ryuu added
"Can't believe they had to rebuild that machine to do it for the fall maidens. Still quite a shame what happened to them not going to lie"naca added disappointed right now rubbing her arm for a moment.
"I know what you mean. My niece knew that pyrrha girl still a shame what happened to her. Dravan talked so highly of her and those niece of his. Would've loved to meet her in my opinion"verona added
"Alright but back to the topic we were discussing. You think summer knows about another maiden because we know who three of them are. Last one would be well her name"naca joked as they nodded
After a bit of time they soon found were summer was. As the women kept looking around the place as she rounded a corner to somewhere else. The three nodded beginning to follow her quietly down the hallway as they mingled and blended in with those near them
But eventually they got to the room she was in as they saw her heading outside toward the rear balcony of the ship. The three then followed her outside toward the balcony.
Though immediately once they were outside verona felt the cold tip of steel against her throat as she knew who it was. That being summer rose with her silver eyes glaring back at her. The women then moved away from the other two as she held the knife close to her throat pulling her down since she was short.
"Why are you three following me? Let me guess you are spies of hers after all i'm guessing"summer asked as the other two put their hands up
"Ummm no like we said before for one ozpin trusted me and my team. To protect fall and winter we…succeed with one of them"naca replied
"And i was married to the previous spring maiden my haru. Because right now something isn't adding up right with me because your acting very strange as of late."ryuu said stepping forward but summer pressed her sword closer to the bat throat as he backed off
"I don't need to tell you anything. Because right now where nearing our destination and…i…i well i need to mentally prepare myself for meeting my duaghter and husband"summer siad looking down because verona could feel something her shaking. Which meant she was scared too see the two again after being apart for so many years as she looked at her for a moment
"Sum….their had to have been another reason for you running away for a whole decade. I mean…sure your eyes are dangerous but their has to be more to it"verona questioned as summer stared at her for a moment. The four of them paused for a long time of silence as she relented
The bat felt the blade be removed from her neck as summer leaned against the rialing sheathing her weapon. But she just held her head like her life depended on it. The women finally relented since she can't hide it from them anymore
"Look…i have my reason for going into hiding over the years. Why the knights of grimm keep chasing me down. Its mainly for my eyes since salem fears them but at the same time its something else. Something that she doens't know i have but just views me as a threat because of my reputation"summer said as the three shared looks before verona stepped forward toward her
"Before you even finish that how do you know so much about how a maiden power works."verona asked
"She right because when you were training miyuki. I noticed something weird because you seemed like an expert with it knowing how to channel with it. How the power works and how each one is tethered to the elements. I mean i'm sure your old teammate is experience but you…your like an expert" naca question
The silver eye huntress turned to them as she closed her silver eyes looking for something deep inside her. After some searching she soon found that power as she slowly opened her eyes. The three went wide eyed because something else was around her silver eyes. That being two white flames which meant she was the summer maiden
"Seems that you figured it out…yes the only reason why i'm so well versed about the maidens. Is because well i received the old summer maiden gift…funny summer which is my name is for that maiden."she said laughing almost as she quickly dismissed her powers as they were stunned
"But…but how? I mean how did you even get them this makes no sense. Someone needs to die when they see a maiden or when they think about them"ryuu questioned
"It was long ago when i started my isolation. For the first couple of year i was on the run and doing my best to survive. At first i didn't have my prothseitc arm making it tough until one day in the desert of vacuo. I was moving around their helping where i could until i ran out of water in the middle of the desert"she begun as she thought about the women she ran into in that desert
"Though luckily a women found me in that desert that day. Funny enough another familiar face was their an old classmate of mine amber the old fall maiden. Shockingly enough the two of them knew each other since she was the one who taught her about her gift. But that day the women left since she needed to head to mistral for something important. I stayed a few weeks their at the time. We got to know each other for a bit till that day happened'she said looking at the land below them then looked forward infront her. That being the capital of mistral as she stared at havan right now wondering if her daughter is their right now.
"What happened to her?"naca asked
"She died…salem agents found her she showed me a floor hatch that was big enough for one of us. I was shoved down their while they attacked her and killed her right before my eyes. She let it happen knowing they wouldn't get the powers if she died one of them accidnelty shot her. They freaked out then next thing i know hours passed. I buried her leaving a note for her friend then a few days later i found out i had them. Been training with them from old books she had in her house."she finished her tale on how she became the summer maiden which was fitting for her name
Their was a pause in silence for a moment as they process this for a moment before verona chuckled.
"So thats why you left your boytoy and girl. You were worried that if you died….that the next person to receive your power would be your daughter. With qrow bad luck happening at random at times your worried that might affect how things happen"she asked as the women nodded
"I was….look we need to keep this hidden right now. Because our main objective when we arrive in havan is to get the relic. I'll tell them when the time is right okay"summer said as the three looked at each other nodding
"You got it because lets go get prepared for when we land. Because i get to see all my teammates and partner after being apart for so long"naca said as they went off to prepare for the fight ahead of them.
After some time later mainly on the main deck staring at the city before her was lilith. The women spent the last four hours crying inside a room with her husband consoling her the entire time. Though she was thinking really hard about what she saw early.
That being her own little sister son being abused and torumented by some monster while she didn't even know about it. Now she was remembering the night she lost her own sister when they brought her to the city. They asked if anyone knew her by name because that night her and her sibling where wondering what was going on. But when they said they found several people dead from a slaver camp.
It scared her a little wondering if her sister that night just decided to skip out not wanting to deal with them. But when she heard her name and her husband name be called out asking if they knew them. She just ran to the front of the crowd seeing her own baby sister dead with a bullethole in her head. All she did that day was cry her eyes out because her sister died because she didn't listen to their family rules. Though she didn't even bother to ask if her son made it out scared that the people who killed her were close by.
But when she saw the feistval show the same extract name and the same extract semblance that day it stunned her. That her own sister son was still alive though she didn't really believe it. But it pained her seeing her own nephew kill someone on live tv but he must have expeirnce torutres that she just let happen.
"Let me guess your here to tell me i'm an idiot"lilith said not looking up because zoey was standing right behind her joining her side.
"A little right now because well heard from your husband you were crying for the past four hours. So some of you do have a heart unlike that uncle of yours"zoey said pulling something out from her side some chewing gum
The fox pulled a stick out chewing on it then she stared at her offering a piece.
"I'm fine….thought a women your age would be a smoker"lilith replied
"Eh i'm more of a drinker. Though nothing beats my mom on when she handles her booze"zoey replied making her laugh momnteraily.
"Really? Your mother? From what bastet told me she would be a tiger faunus. Strange for you to consider someone not even blood related your family"she said making the fox scoffed as she pocket the pack of gum staring her down
"I'm strange? Lady you got alot of nerve to say that to me after what i've seen. Because right now i'm just disgusted"she said coldy with venom to her as the women looked down
"About what?"she asked but she knew what it was
"That i don't know. Maybe because your entire family abandoned a little kid after his own parents died. Seriously i remeber that day in the slaver camp when my new mom found me. I had to watch my own mom and dad work themselves to the bone everyday. My dad worked double shifts so i didn't have to work for their slave labor"she started as her tail fluffed up as lilith stared at her.
"I lost my mom after she tried to ask for more food. A bandit pops her in the head….next week i see my own dad get a fight with a bandit. Because he tried to…hurt me and i don't even wanna get into it. He died protecting me, i spent four months by myself with a bunch of other kids who lost their parents"she cotninued before placing her hand on her chest holding her necklace tight
"I hated my adoptive mom and brother at first. But…over the years i coudln't have asked for anything better to happen to me. Though…i…i lost my baby brother eight years ago in a fire…because some scientist wanted to experiment on him. They tortured my brother for a year…then he get locked in another jail cell. "She said before shoving her back as lilith was moved back a bit as she looked away from her
The fox faunus had tears starting to escape her own eyes before she jabbed her hard in the chest.
"But now…i still keep in contact with my old family. Though my baby brother never even got to meet his…instead he only had us. And for the last two months hes had people giving him crap for something he didn't have control off.
