CHAPTER NOTES
Again, I must say something before the chapter starts, this time regarding any cutaways that are supposed to parody the Family Guy cutaway gags shown on the actual TV show. There is one in this chapter as a flashback to what Clare was told by her dad. I tried my best to mimic the famous Family Guy cutaway gag sequences, and I hope more come in future chapters. The flashback cutaway is in italics.
CHAPTER 5
After taking a heavy walk around the World of Television and its corresponding surroundings, Clare later ended up at Charlie's Restaurant, a familiar Sesame Street location. There, she wanted something to eat after the heavy confrontation with Magica De Spell and Hawk Moth. When she walked in, she saw Grover waiting on several people who lived in the World of Television, including Family Guy's Griffin Family and their neighbors, Cleveland Brown, Joe Swanson, and Glenn Quagmire. One customer that was not being a pleasing one was Mr. Johnson, a Fat Blue Muppet from Sesame Street whom Grover always ends up serving at Charlie's Restaurant and other places. Clare watched everything unfold from behind a huge plant.
"Waiter! Oh WAITER!" yelled Mr. Johnson.
Grover later came to serve Mr. Johnson, much to Mr. Johnson's dismay. But Mr. Johnson made his order simple: all he wanted was a cheese sandwich with chips.
"Got it, sir!" said Grover.
"I don't believe Grover's going to get that man's order right." said Clare. "It's just like the local McDonald's Restaurant back in my world: one time in 2009, two years before I was born, my dad ordered an Angus Third Pounder burger, and they brought him a Quarter Pounder burger."
FLASHBACK CUTAWAY
"Welcome to McDonald's, may I take your order?" asked the server handling the speaker.
"Can I get an Angus Third Pounder burger please?" asked Clare's dad.
"That'll be four dollars and forty nine cents, pull up to the first window." said the server handling the drive-thru.
"Thank you." said Clare's dad.
3 MINUTES LATER, AT THE SECOND WINDOW AT MCDONALD'S
"What…is this?!" asked Clare's dad.
"It's an Angus Third Pounder, sir." said the server at the second window.
"This. Is. A QUARTER POUNDER!" Clare's dad said as threw the burger on his car seat.
END OF CUTAWAY
"I remember my dad telling me that when I was about 10 years old." said Clare. "Now, let's investigate some things about these Dark Shadows of Magica De Spell.
Dark Shadows later entered the Charlie's Restaurant; everyone started running for their lives.
"Now I'm getting out of here!" said Mr. Johnson.
"Sir, your sandwich!" yelled Grover.
"Leave it, Fat Blue!" yelled Joe Swanson.
"What the hell?!" asked Cleveland Brown in exclamation. "No, no, no, no, no, no no, NOO!" he said as Dark Shadows tied him up.
"So this is what has come to it, huh?" asked Magica De Spell. "Dear old, Cleveland…how nice to see you tied up in my shadows of darkness."
"LET HIM GO!" yelled Clare.
"Huh?!" asked Peter Griffin. "The hell was that?!"
"That must be Clare Hutchinson." said Lois Griffin. "Cat Noir told me about a girl named Clare prior to me coming here to meet you, and that's the girl whom I presume he is talking about." said Lois.
"I see." said Peter.
"Hmph." said Clare. "Likely to know about me from Cat Noir. …Magica!"
Magica turned to Clare; clare ordered her to leave.
"Hmph. Pathetic." said Magica De Spell.
Magica De Spell later left.
"Everybody, run!" yelled Clare.
Everyone started to run for their lives, all while screaming in the process. Clare later left outside to see what exactly was going on with everyone else. Little did she know that Dark Shadows were sweeping the world by storm, even going as far as polluting the area with darkness and black fog. Clare knew she was in for a difficult challenge.
