Summary: They say Shooting Stars grant wishes, at least that's what Luz told King. Luz had no idea that shooting stars in the Boiling Isles can make the wish come true with enough magic... until King wishes to not be the last Titan.
King looked out the window at the night sky, sure everything on the Isles was peaceful now after the fall of Belos, but he still couldn't help but feel upset, because no matter how hard he tried, there are no more Titan's around, so while he had a family, he was the last of his kind. Speaking of family, the door opened and Luz trudged in. She has been working hard on helping repair the Boiling Isles, for the better part of a year, even working on her birthday last year, and quickly approaching her 16th birthday.
"Hi, King." Luz said before face planting into her sleeping pad, "Night King."
Luz fell asleep the second her head touched the pillow. She was exhausted, but she got what Camila has coined as "Noceda Stubbornness". King couldn't help but feel a bit upset that his older sister in all but blood was pushing herself this much. She was working, without pay which annoyed Eda, from the second the sun rose until the moon was high in the sky. King grabbed Luz's blanket and pulled it over her, which made her smile in her sleep.
"She pushes herself too much." King said, "She seems to forget that she's human sometimes."
"If that isn't the truth I don't know what is."
King turned around and saw Eda standing in the doorway. She walked over and used her hand to rub King's head a bit.
"You know Luz enough to know that she won't slow down when she wants something, and she wants to fix the Boiling Isles." Eda said, "We just have to make sure she doesn't do something that dangerous, and that she takes breaks as needed."
"I know, but... it kind of hurts knowing that she's doing this to the point she might hurt herself." King said.
"Oh, you're such a good brother." Eda said, kissing the top of King's head, "But it's not like you can just wish for her to stop."
King looked down, a bit sad.
"Hey, don't worry, it's Luz, she's a strong kid, both of you are. After all, you saw how we took care of that annoying bast... Belos." Eda said, not wanting to swear in front of King.
"Yeah, but she had cool Titan powers then." King said, "She doesn't even have glyphs now."
"I know, but as long as she has her staff, she'll be fine." before walking back to the door, "Night, Squirt."
Eda closed the door behind her and King went back to the window. He looked up and saw a shooting star. He remembers Luz telling him that if you see a shooting star to make a wish, and he thought about it... he could kill two birds with one stone.
"I wish Luz was a Titan." King said, "That way Luz won't be so exhausted after pushing herself, and I won't be the last Titan."
He walked over to Luz and curled up beside her, he never expected his wish to work, after all, Luz said that shooting stars don't grant wishes... but she never wished on a Boiling Isles shooting star. Luz made a pained face as a glowing symbol began to burn onto her chest.
