Diego studies successfully in Madrid and gets the information from a former servant of his father, that injustice and oppression reign in Los Angeles. Unrecognized, he travels back to Los Angeles under an assumed name. Once there, he must devise a plan to defeat the tyrannical alcalde without endangering his father or his secret childhood love, Victoria.

Earlier, as in the series, Diego has returned from Spain. His father is thrilled his son has returned. As time goes by he begins to wonder why his son has changed so much.

I got this scene in my head from the episode, 'The Man Who Cried Wolf, S3E. What would have happened had Diego approached the discussion he had with de Soto slightly differently?

This is going to be a collection of loosely tied short stories, with the focus on relationships between characters, especially Diego and Alejandro.

Victoria and don Alejandro came up with the idea of organizing a masquerade ball in the pueblo, thinking it would be fun. Many villagers were enthusiastic about the idea, while others were less so. However, this festivity could have some unexpected twists no one anticipated.

This is the M-rated version of chapter 30 of my story Another beginning. You can find the rest of the story under the T-rated stories and is named 'Another beginning'. In this story Zorro doesn't flirt with Victoria the first chance he get, and he gives Diego a chance to let Victoria fall in love with him.

In the series was shown Zorro started flirting with Victoria from the time he flew into the pueblo using a kite. That was not a very clever move Diego. You put yourself right out of the game. What if Diego had been more reserved as Zorro? Had Diego then had a better chance to capture Victoria's heart? She seemed impressed by him when he came into the tavern that first time as Diego
