Filler for the episode Stemwinder Part I

This is a story based on the episode, "Night Crawler". Something traumatic happens to Amanda when she is Birol's custody, and this story follows her path as her and Lee become engaged and married and work through this event. Lee moves a lot faster in this story than he does in the tv series. I made a few changes and I hope you enjoy this story.

With all the excitement of the SMK 40th Reunion coming in October, 2023, I decided to write a story about four super fans, who are on a "stake out" to meet Bruce Boxleitner. Inspired by the episode, "Weekend". Thanks to Tracey for her encouragement and Beta work. And, of course, a big shout-out to my real life "Closet Ladies" who make me laugh every day.

Lee's apartment is damaged from a break-in, and he needs a place to stay. His last hope is Amanda's house, and Amanda agrees while Dotty and the boys are away. A storm, a backyard intruder, and Dotty's early return create some interesting obstacles. Hints of romance, but in keeping with the show's timeline.

This is my AU take on what happened between Lee and Amanda each New Year's Eve during the course of the series...and beyond. It was something I was working on over the holidays and just now had a moment to post. It's been jumbled up in my brain and I had to get it out! Haha! As always, I don't own these amazing characters - just borrowing them for a little while. Happy New Year!
