Since I've been bringing back old stories, including my Harry Potter series, I felt it only made sense that I bring back my OC son of Artemis and Dante series. That's right, the Devil May Cry: Son of the Huntress series is making a comeback... or just the Son of the Huntress, whichever really sounds cooler to you, I'm not complaining.

So yeah, the series has been brought back and it of course starts with The Lightning Thief. Not really much else to say is there? We all know who the OC is, his parents and whatnot. Now we just read the damn series.

Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Damian Redgrave.

"He's amazing, Arte."

Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the Moon, Hunt, Archery, Wilderness, Maidenhood and Childbirth herself, smiled softly even when being address by that annoying nickname her younger twin brother, Apollo, often called her. But for the man who just addressed her with it, she held no ill will towards him for it.

Artemis was a beautiful woman in her twenties with shoulder-length raven-black hair and striking silver eyes like the moon itself. Usually she'd either be in her child form, around thirteen like her Hunters, but not on this special day. She laid in a bed, clad in a traditional Greek robe with the bed blankets covering her lower body due to her not really wearing anything, given what she had just been through.

Namely the birth of her firstborn child, her firstborn demigod.

Yes, Artemis, one of the three Virgin Goddesses next to her sister Athena and aunt Hestia, has given birth.

Sitting beside her, holding their son, was a man in his early twenties, twenty four to be exact, with brushed down white hair, has fair, yet pale skin, and blue eyes. He was clad in red pants with two black belts wrapped around his right thigh, a black, leather belt, black gloves, and high, black boots. His coat is much basic in design, with an upturned collar and short sleeves with black cuffs, though the coat lacks coattails. Underneath the coat, he wears what appears to be a black long-sleeved shirt, with a red vest with black clasps over it.

This was Dante, a half-demon who hunts demons, and the son of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda, and also... the husband of Artemis, as well as the father of their child.

Artemis never thought she'd ever experience a day like this in her long life, after so many centuries of swearing off men, remaining a virgin, having a low opinion on men given most she had encountered were nothing but lecherous pigs who only cared about themselves and treated women badly, forcing themselves on them to sate their perverted lust and desires.

Of course, there were men who actually cared and had made Artemis' opinion somewhat change over the hundreds of years, but she never saw any reason to believe all men were like that. She had sworn to remain a virgin for her entire life, and considering she was a Goddess, she could live for eternity.

And then, she met Dante.

Of course, their first meeting was... tense to say the least, given Artemis tried to kill him, and he wasn't exactly making a good first impression on her as well that day. He didn't know who she was and casually flirted with her, taunted her, and she reacted the way she normally would; trying to gut him open.

But he stunned her when he saved her life from something he had been hunting, something that she had picked up the trail on.

A demon.

And that day was just the beginning of a very unexpected relationship.

After everything they've been through together since that day they met, Artemis will gladly say she does not regret meeting Dante, does not regret marrying him, does not regret even laying with him... and she does not regret becoming pregnant with their child and she knew he didn't regret a single bit of anything between them.

"I know." Artemis smiled, wincing as she moved to adjust her position which caused her husband to shoot her a look and she rolled her eyes. "I'm just moving a little, Dante. Stop being so overprotective. I am the Goddess of Childbirth, you know."

"And yet you just gave birth several hours ago, which must've made it harder on you." Dante retorted, lowering his voice so he didn't wake their son as he adjusted his arms to hold him more securely. He slid up beside his wife, smiling as she took their son into her arms and hushed him softly as she rocked him gently.

"He's precious." Artemis whispered with a soft smile that, to Dante, made her look just as beautiful as the day they first met. "He's the perfect blend of you and me."

Indeed he was, their son showed signs that he would have his father's white hair, but he would have his mother's silver eyes.

"I wonder if this is how my father felt after my mother gave birth to Vergil and I." Dante said quietly as he stroked his son's cheek with a thumb, his gaze turning sad as he thought of his older twin brother, who went down a dark path after the day they got separated and their mother had died.

They had encountered each other a year before the Temen-Ni-Gru incident, and then on the day of that incident... Dante and Vergil battled fiercely, with the fight ending with Vergil choosing to fall into the Demon World after being defeated by his brother.

Dante had never seen Vergil since.

Artemis positioned her son so she held him in the crook of her left arm, while her right came and caressed her husband's cheek. "I know you wish your life had been different, that you could have your parents and your brother here to witness this." She said. Artemis had been privy to her husband's thoughts of 'what if..'. She knew he wished Vergil was here to see this, as well as wished his parents were. He often told her that his mother would love her.

Sadly, she didn't know if she could say the same for her side of the family.

Her brother, her idiot younger twin brother often annoyed her on when he'd get a nephew or niece from her to which she'd always respond by shooting arrows at him. Now that she actually had a child, Apollo would be happy to learn he had a nephew... but she didn't know about the rest of the Olympians.

Her father, Zeus, would most likely let out the fatherly rage of learning his daughter had been deflowered and married without him knowing about it. She knew him well enough to know how he'd react, and she didn't want to know if he'd approve or not of Dante.

Her stepmother, Hera, Artemis didn't even want to think of her reaction but figured that she'd only be satisfied the child was born after marriage rather than before it, given she was the Goddess of Marriage. Plus, Artemis was a reminder that Zeus had cheated on Hera with Artemis' mother, Leto, who had gone through a lot when she was pregnant thanks to Hera and her vindictive wrath.

Her favourite sister, Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, she'd be shocked that her sister broke her oath to remain a virgin and got married, as well as have a child. But Artemis hoped her sister would accept what she had chosen and come to be a great aunt to her child.

Artemis didn't even want to know what Aphrodite's reaction could be, she could already see it. And she sure as Chaos wasn't going to let that slut of a Goddess ruin her child's life just to satisfy her fetishes in 'love' and 'drama'. She wouldn't even be surprised if twenty years from now, when her son was a adult man, Aphrodite tried seducing and spreading her legs for him.

Like Hades would Artemis ever let that happen.

But there was one family member Artemis could count on, one who had gone so far as to hide Artemis' pregnancy from everyone, even Artemis' Hunters.

Her aunt Hestia.

Hestia had discovered Artemis' secret life three months into her pregnancy and was introduced to Dante, with the Goddess of the Hearth swearing that she will never reveal this to any of their family unless Artemis tells her to. Artemis did not make her swear an oath on the River Styx, she knew Hestia would keep her word. She was the Goddess of Family after all, and she always looked over her family.

Due to it being her first pregnancy, Artemis had been scared to death, knowing there could be many complications with childbirth but Hestia was there to support her every step of the way. Sure, Hestia had never been pregnant given she was a Virgin Goddess as well, but she had helped her sister Hera birth Ares and Hephaestus and knew exactly what to do.

Artemis smiled as she gently stroked her son's forehead. "So, now we name him." Dante said, continuing to stroke his son's cheek.

"Well, we did agree on a name regarding if it was a boy or a girl." Artemis reminded him. She did not care whether her child was a boy or a girl. she'd love him all the same. But the fact that he was a boy was bound to get a few raised eyebrows, and she dreaded how her Hunters would react when it's revealed that she has a son.

"Hmm, true." Dante nodded. "And we agreed on Damian."

"Damian... yes." Artemis smiled, staring down at her son. "Damian Redgrave, son of Dante and Artemis. He's special. After all, his father is half-demon, and his mother is a Goddess... that's something that's never happened before. Some may end up viewing him as some kind of abomination for it."

"Hey, we'll take care of him." Dante said, putting an arm around his wife's shoulders. Artemis sighed sadly and Dante knew why. "Arte, you can't just leave already."

"I know... but the ancient laws-"

"Fuck the laws." Dante scoffed. "All I'm saying is you find a way to be here to see him crawl for the first time, see him walk, hear his first words. And when he's older and finally knows you, you'll be there to see him finally get a girl he likes-"

"Not happening." Artemis scoffed. "My baby pup will never fall into that airheaded Goddess' domain."

"Hey, he's going to look just as handsome as his father, so I wouldn't be surprised if girls start drooling at the sight of him." Dante said with a smirk as Artemis shot him a glare. "You know it'll happen. After all, I got the amazing Goddess of the Moon to fall for me."

"Oh how far we've come from the day where I shot you in the head with an arrow." Artemis remarked dryly, making him chuckle and soon she giggled. Their son stirred and babbled like the baby he was, drawing their attention back to him. "I see your point though. I do intend to be there for the most important moments of his life... but the laws-"

"Work around them." Dante suggested, causing her to frown at him. "Visit as often as possible and on every major holiday."

Artemis nodded. "That sounds great. But I'd have to leave for good when he reaches the age he'll be able to remember and know who I am. He cannot know until I claim him."

Dante sighed. This is the one thing he dreaded after Artemis told him about it. His wife would have to be gone for several years, their son wouldn't know who his mother is until she claims him and Dante was not allowed to flat out say. Which is why Dante was adamant that Artemis was there for the first few years of their son's life.

But now was not the time to worry about the future, the couple were just content to be happy with the life they had made...

And that's it for the first chapter. Hope you liked it and are looking forward to the rest of the story. As for when Dante and Artemis met... well, it was before Devil May Cry 3 happened.
